From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted with bottled water, and they even gave a teddy bear to our young child – so thoughtful! From the moment I stepped into the hotel, from the greeter at the door, front desk staff, and lobby manager to the restaurant and bar, and room service, every single staff member greeted me with a smile and offered warm, attentive service. This truly showcased the quality of an established five-star hotel. While the furniture, bathroom facilities, and amenities in the room were indeed a bit dated, which is common in many older European hotels, the professional, warm, and thoughtful service completely made up for these shortcomings. The breakfast, once rated as the best in Europe, certainly lived up to its reputation. The rooftop bar offers a fantastic view of the Sagrada Familia. The hotel's location is superb, right in the middle of Passeig de Gràcia, surrounded by various restaurants, bars, and convenience stores. The room was spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. The W Hotel boasts the best location on Barcelona beach. I recommend booking a high-floor room if possible; the sunrise views in the morning are absolutely stunning. After checking in, I suggest heading straight to the beach. The hotel has its own small private beach area accessible from the basement level, and guests get complimentary use of sun loungers and towels. The outdoor pool on the ground floor is fantastic, with many European and American tourists enjoying the sun. My tip is to have breakfast early, as the number of sun loungers on either side of the pool is limited. On Sunday evenings, the hotel hosts a pool party, which is free for guests with a room card. Non-guests have to queue and pay an entrance fee, and the atmosphere at the pool party is really great.FromTWD 13,258

We stayed for 4 nights and were grateful to the hotel for upgrading our room. The hotel is very new, with double sinks in the bathroom, and the shower facilities are modern and clean. The amenities provided are also high-end, and the bedding is comfortable, ensuring a really good night's sleep.
The service was excellent; the Chinese ladies at the front desk were warm and friendly, and they answered all our questions enthusiastically – a definite highlight! The hotel breakfast was good, and you could even order complimentary pancakes or omelets, so getting a full meal was no problem at all.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, with many highly-rated restaurants nearby, making it super convenient for getting around. A 5-minute walk to the left takes you to Casa Milà, and about a 15-minute walk brings you to Casa Batlló (where you'll also find the Gràcia metro and train stations). Turning right and walking for 5 minutes leads you to Provença metro station, which is very handy for getting to Mount Tibidabo. All in all, we were extremely satisfied with our 5-day, 4-night stay in Barcelona, and I highly recommend this hotel!FromTWD 7,906

The service and assistance at the reception was just great, highly appreciated - great advice on restaurants and cooperative approach in our individual requests with the little kids. The room was clean. Meals at breakfast wasn’t that great choice as we expected, but it depends on purposes of the stay, we stayed just one night in the hotel with the family and it was enough. The hotel is in a great area close to the city centre and shopping Square and also close to the Metro and bus lines. The staff are very nice and amenities are good. As a female solo traveller I felt very safe in this hotel especially because it’s a LGBTQ+ but hetero friendly hotel. The beds are comfortable just be aware that the shower is see-through so if you’re sharing you will likely see the person taking a shower. The pool was also very nice for chilling in after a very long day of exploring. Just be careful of removing anything in the minibar. I removed some of the things and placed them on the table because I wanted to use the fridge to put my food and drinks that I bought myself . I unfortunately almost got charged for the things that I removed from the mini bar fridge even though I hadn’t consumed them. I did however explain to the receptionist that I returned all the drinks in the mini bar as I hadn’t consumed them.Overall I really enjoyed staying in this hotel and will definitely stay here again.FromTWD 3,644

The room is airy with a window, and the balcony gets plenty of sunlight. Besides breakfast, the bar on the 3rd floor is open until 11 PM, so you don't need to go out for lunch or dinner. There's also a Spanish national supermarket downstairs, which is very convenient, just remember it's closed on Sundays. The location is great; it's not only close to the high-speed rail station but also very near the metro station, making it easy to get to the convention center, stadium, city center attractions, and the airport. My travel plans kept changing, so I booked day-by-day to avoid having my entire trip cancelled. I booked a standard room the day before, but due to a booking error, I ended up with a 'Seventy Room' today and needed to switch. In the morning, I specifically requested a twin room at check-in, and the front desk agreed. When I returned in the evening, I found it was still a single king-size bed room. I talked to the front desk, and they informed me that all rooms were booked, and they couldn't switch me to a twin. Actually, a king-size bed is just two smaller beds pushed together, so all they needed to do was change the bedding to accommodate us. However, the hotel's handling of the situation was very rigid, so I'm deducting points for service. There's no real difference between the 'Seventy Room' and the standard room, so it's not worth paying extra for it.FromTWD 8,303

Lowlights: 1) Lost money in the hotel. We left some local currency which was taken when we had the room cleaned. 2) We paid for the breakfast option in cash, forgot to get a receipt, the following day the guys at the front desk said there were no records of the payment nor the additional breakfast. The hotel location was great, near the metro and v walkable to the shopping district.
Room was big and spacious (think we got the room for the wheel-bounded by chance). However, its cleanliness can be worked on as we found strays of hair on the bathroom wall and also a clump of dust on the hairdryer net.
The bottled water as well as the tap water tasted a bit funny and felt slimy (you know the feeling you get when you have to wash your hands vigorously to get rid of that soapy feeling), but we googled and it’s probably just Barcelona’s water sewage system at it.
The wifi was strong, and the water pressure of the shower was great. Note the hotel does not provide bathroom slippers though.FromTWD 7,667

The hotel is located in a residential area, about a ten-minute walk from the beach. There's a bus stop right outside, and it's a 10-15 minute bus ride or a 20-25 minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe. There are also many great cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is large, new, and well-equipped, offering excellent value for money.
