Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay was a perfect escape. The hotel, nestled in its own tranquil bay, is designed like an art gallery between the mountains and the sea, with stunning views at every turn. The ocean view rooms offer unparalleled vistas and comfortable bedding. The service was impeccable, making us feel right at home. Breakfast was exquisitely prepared, and the 130-meter infinity pool seamlessly merges with the sky and sea. The private beach boasts crystal-clear waters and pristine white sand. This is an ideal choice for guests seeking tranquility, sophisticated design, and privacy—a truly luxurious option for relaxing and immersing oneself in nature.

Our stay at Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort was absolutely wonderful. Our butler reached out via WeChat beforehand, and they met all our requests, especially for our child. My kid had such a great time that we extended our three-night stay by an extra day. It was a fantastic experience. Breakfast at the Dining Room each morning was delightful, with a beautiful setting and a wide variety of options. A huge thank you again to our butler and the entire team for their thoughtful service! Park Hyatt will definitely be our top choice for our next vacation in Sanya.

I flew from Shanghai to Hainan for a special weekend trip, just to experience the Capella Tufu Bay, one of Hainan's most luxurious hotels. It's located in Tufu Bay, next to the CDF duty-free shop, about a 50-minute drive from Sanya Airport and 15 minutes from the duty-free shop. The transportation isn't the most convenient, but that's a minor flaw. The beach is whiter and finer than Haitang Bay, and the greenery and coconut groves are lusher and more vibrant. As they say, an old Ferrari is still a Ferrari – even if it's far from the airport, it's still top luxury! The hotel itself features a new Chinese style with a Southeast Asian flair, adorned with white stone patterns, fountains at every turn, and intricate interlocking wooden ceilings – full of charm. The day before check-in, our butler, Derorice, proactively sent me details via WeChat about special ceremony times, restaurant operating hours and menus, and activity schedules. She was always energetic and responded instantly, even in the middle of the night. She’s such a lovely and thoughtful girl! I arrived at 10 AM on the first day. After dropping off my luggage, I headed straight to the duty-free shop. Around 2 PM, Derorice messaged me on WeChat to say the room was ready. She thoughtfully upgraded me from a Listen-to-the-Sea Pavilion to a Le Shui Ju Winter Residence, a private townhouse villa, and conveniently, the closest one to the public areas. How heartwarming! The trip was for two days and three nights. I had originally booked a deep-sea fishing trip for the third day after check-out. However, after two days of immersive experience, I fell in love with this exotic garden-like haven. I canceled the fishing trip last minute to enjoy another half-day in this tranquil paradise, far from the city's hustle and bustle. **Dining:** The buffet breakfast isn't just top-tier for Hainan's luxury hotels; it might even be my number one. The attention to detail is evident everywhere. For instance, the freshly replenished orange peel zest for self-made cocktails at the entrance – open the lid, and a rich citrus aroma greets you. The knife skills are commendable. Hotel buffet pastry sections are often a bit rough, focusing on variety and appearance rather than quality ingredients, flavoring, or texture. But every single pastry at Capella could easily outperform most specialized bakeries. The bread is soft yet resilient, the fillings are generous yet light and not greasy. Even the chocolate and colorful sprinkles used for the children's donuts are real chocolate, not compound chocolate. Even the oatmeal was cooked to perfection. Other highly praised dishes online, like turnip and beef brisket or Baoluo noodles, all showcased incredible attention to detail. It's easy to get one small detail right, but it's truly remarkable to be impressed by every single small detail! **Spa:** The spa is a major highlight of Capella, with a large dedicated area. What truly moved me was that guests can enjoy the spa area for free, which includes a dry sauna, wet sauna, hydro-massage pool, relaxation area, and spa treatments. A special mention goes to the ice towel infused with ADS eucalyptus essential oil – it really hit the spot for me. At room temperature, the scent of eucalyptus isn't particularly striking, but smelling it chilled for the first time, it had a light, crisp, and refreshing quality, unlike the usual heavy woody notes. I was genuinely astonished. Accompanied by soothing background music, it’s super private and uncrowded, allowing for complete solitude. It’s an indescribable feeling; I can only say this was the most captivating and memorable small detail for me. Such a long description, yet words can't fully express more details. Enjoy~

First of all, I'd like to thank my travel and culture officer, Ms. Jolyne, for her incredibly thoughtful care of our entire family during our stay at Capella! She's truly beautiful, enthusiastic, considerate, and meticulous...(°_°)… In fact, a bit too meticulous! In just three days, Jolyne fed me so many delicious dishes that I gained 8 pounds (the world is ending!)💔! The hotel's facilities are top-notch, making your stay extremely convenient and comfortable! As for the design... just look at the pictures, everyone, it's great for taking photos! Moving on to the food, breakfast is abundant and tastes great, and the pastries haven't repeated in the past two days! Every afternoon, there's also afternoon tea and two wine-tasting events, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable environment, get a little tipsy, or simply chat and admire the beautiful scenery with friends and family (it couldn't be more comfortable)! Regarding the service, I've seen many netizens on Xiaohongshu criticizing Capella! However, I want to share my personal experience: upon arrival, someone will ask if you need help with your luggage. Check-in was very quick! A travel and culture officer personally escorts you to your room and explains some important details. When going for breakfast, a handsome gentleman in the restaurant always proactively asks if you'd like a cup of coffee (his coffee is excellent)! When I went for cocktails, the lady in charge of cocktails always greeted me with an infectious, warm smile! While dining at Lan Ting, the service was slow, and my wife was a bit upset. The manager at Lan Ting offered to comp our entire meal (I only asked for a discount, which would have been plenty, and the discount they offered was so generous it made me feel a bit embarrassed about not spending enough). Our room was cleaned twice daily, and the Nongfu Spring water at the minibar was automatically refilled to at least 6 bottles whenever we looked. Capsule coffee and other beverages were also automatically replenished after use. Consumables like linen were replaced twice a day. When checking out, the bell staff quickly transferred our luggage to the car. Although we, as customers, are always demanding and will inevitably find some imperfections, you cannot deny that the entire staff at Capella is genuinely making continuous efforts to improve their service! For this reason, I believe I will choose Capella as my vacation destination again next time!

I guess you really do get what you pay for. I've stayed at seven or eight hotels in Sanya, and The Sanya EDITION is the most expensive, but also definitely the most satisfying. From the moment I checked in until I checked out, I was accompanied by incredibly thoughtful service. Whether it was the cleaning staff, the welcoming bellhops, the public area patrols, or the restaurant chefs, every single person greeted me politely and warmly, something I hadn't experienced in any other hotel before. As for many people saying the rooms are similar to those at All Seasons hotels, it's really just the decor style that's similar. In reality, from the bedding, soft furnishings, to the stone and wood materials used, they are completely in different leagues. By the way, the smart toilet that some people complain about worked perfectly fine for me – quite useful!
- Dongyangyangyang
Highly recommended! Much better than the other hotel 25km away. The Edition's service and ambiance are both excellent, whereas the other one only had a good environment. This trip was a last-minute decision, and we only stayed two nights. Next time, a one or two-week stay would be even better (I really feel like there was so much we didn't get to experience, just sleeping, working out, and duty-free shopping). And could you please add a Pokémon Ga-Olé machine to the kids' area? I could literally sit there for a week... Big shout out to our butler and all the staff. The Edition's service and environment truly live up to its star rating and price. Highly, highly recommend!

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Sanya left a deeply wonderful impression on us, and we experienced four 'happies': First, we were happy with the accommodation. The hotel is nestled among coconut groves on a hillside, offering a beautiful environment. The rooms are either standalone or terraced villas, backing onto the mountains and facing the sea. Guests can enjoy ocean views, watch the tides, and listen to the constant sound of waves from their windows or balconies. It was incredibly pleasant and joyful! Second, we were happy with the activities. For retired seniors like us, travel activities can be limited, but the hotel consistently offered suitable options, such as guided and self-guided photo shoots, swimming, relaxing on a beach lounge chair feeling the sea breeze, and shell collecting on the beach. Every day was fulfilling and fun. Third, we were happy with the food. The hotel breakfast was exceptionally lavish, with a wide variety of dishes to satisfy diverse palates. It was delicious and a true feast for the senses. Fourth, we were happily pampered. Upon check-in, Flora was assigned as our private butler, coordinating and arranging all our activities throughout our stay with warm service. The golf cart was always available on demand; when it got hot, fresh coconut water was brought to us; upon learning our return flight was at night, she proactively arranged a late check-out for us; and when we left, we even received a souvenir with the hotel's logo... We truly felt like gods here, experiencing immense happiness and bliss. We love Mandarin Oriental Sanya and look forward to seeing you again next year!

Pros: The public areas and breakfast were decent. Cons: 1. There were very few trash cans in the room, so I had to search around to find somewhere to throw away garbage. 2. The only box of tissues in the entire room was by the sink mirror; there were none by the bed or on the desk. 3. I booked a twin room, but only one of the beds had an electrical outlet nearby. There were no outlets between the two beds either. 4. The room lights didn't have a master control, so I had to walk around to turn them off before bed. The curtains were also entirely manual. 5. The room had a strong mildew smell. 6. The hotel staff seemed quite cold and indifferent. Perhaps it's due to long working hours and low pay, giving off a strong sense of work fatigue. 7. I checked out at 11:00 AM, but my deposit hadn't been refunded by 7:00 PM, and no reason was provided. I only got it back after contacting the hotel.

The Rosewood Sanya Poly truly takes luxury island vacations to the extreme! The art installation in the 14th-floor Cloud Lobby is stunning the moment you walk in. The 13th-floor, 110-meter infinity pool seamlessly merges with the ocean, making every photo an atmospheric masterpiece. The floor-to-ceiling window bathtub in our full ocean view room directly faces Wuzhizhou Island, making a sea-view bath incredibly romantic. Even more heartwarming was the service from staff member Mike. From proactively communicating our needs and offering sunscreen and travel tips before check-in, to meticulously introducing the hotel facilities, helping us book restaurants, and arranging a late check-out upon arrival – he was patient and professional throughout. He even discreetly arranged for a specific brand of beverage we casually mentioned wanting to be delivered to our room. His attention to detail completely exceeded our expectations! The hotel's bedding was soft and comfortable, the seafood hotpot at the Fisherman's Restaurant was incredibly fresh, and the duty-free shop shuttle and 5% discount were also super practical. This perfect vacation experience wouldn't have been possible without Mike's thoughtful care. Next time I come to Haitang Bay, I will definitely choose Rosewood again and recommend it to all my friends!

Rosewood Sanya truly elevates the vacation experience! The 14th-floor sky lobby impressed me with its sophisticated ambiance right from the entrance. The sea-view rooms, starting from 68 square meters, were an amazing surprise; the floor-to-ceiling windows face the azure ocean directly, allowing you to watch the sunrise from bed. The rattan chairs on the balcony, paired with the sea breeze, were incredibly therapeutic. The 13th-floor infinity pool is a must-visit; its blue and white palette with distant views of Wuzhizhou Island makes every photo look stunning. The room details were perfect: Dyson hairdryer and Elemis toiletries added a luxurious touch, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable that I slept soundly until morning. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, with welcoming fruits and a thoughtful souvenir, even sunscreen was provided. The fine sandy beach is within walking distance, and it's also close to the duty-free shop. The dining options were fresh and delicious. This hotel is perfectly suited for both romantic honeymoons and trips with girlfriends. I'm already looking forward to my second visit! 👑👑The service was superb!

TL;DR: A truly wonderful vacation. Let me elaborate on a few points. Firstly, the staff provided warm and attentive service. The ladies at the front desk were all exceptional. From actively considering our group size and room allocation before check-in, to promptly responding to every single request during our stay, and even giving gifts to my child and me upon departure, everything contributed to a very pleasant experience. When we checked out, our shuttle couldn't pick us up for some reason. We thought, 'It's not far anyway, we can just walk to the lobby with our luggage.' But two minutes later, the front desk proactively arranged for staff to help with our luggage. Their initiative was impressive; they weren't just following orders but actively thinking about how to serve us. Secondly, the room offered excellent privacy, and the facilities were convenient and well-equipped with everything we needed. A small detail that stood out was that the ashtray usually came with one box of matches. The cleaning staff must have noticed I smoked when they cleaned the room the next day because they left an extra box. It's these small details that truly reflect service quality and make a stay enjoyable. Thirdly, the location is unbeatable. It's very close to the bustling downtown area, offering a blend of local life and convenience. Whether you want to enjoy a private beach or experience the vibrancy of Sanya, it's perfect. The beach offers stunning sunset views, and from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, complimentary drinks, alcoholic beverages, fruits, and snacks are provided by the beach, allowing for a relaxing enjoyment of the ocean sunset. Because it's close to the city, food delivery is very fast, and the hotel promptly helps deliver takeout to our room door, giving us more dining options and convenience. This aspect truly surpasses many other hotels. The only minor drawback is that since the hotel was built some time ago, some of the fixed facilities are a bit older. For example, the toilet is quite basic, with manual flushing and no heated seat. For someone used to smart toilets, sitting on a cold seat was a bit of a jolt, hahaha. But overall, the minor flaws do not detract from the overall excellence. When we checked out, the front desk lady asked my child if they'd like to come again. My child said yes! Indeed, if we come to Sanya again, we will still choose Banyan Tree.

Choosing Banyan Tree Sanya for our trip was absolutely the best decision we made! From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were enveloped in incredibly thoughtful service. It truly lives up to its reputation for making guests feel right at home. I have to commend the staff here! Whether it was the reception manager, front desk, housekeeping, or the garden shuttle drivers, every single employee greeted us with a smile and a proactive hello. They would even rush over to help if they saw us carrying something, always accommodating our requests with genuine warmth and sincerity, never feeling robotic or rehearsed. This heartfelt enthusiasm made our whole family feel like we were coming home. Hotel Restaurant: An Exquisite Culinary Journey The Ming Yue restaurant at the hotel was definitely a major highlight of our trip. The food was first-class! Our little one had a wonderful birthday celebration there, and the dishes were perfectly cooked and seasoned, with ingredients that you could taste were incredibly fresh. The flavors are still unforgettable. The service was superb as well: The restaurant staff were equally impeccable. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, explained dishes in detail, and were incredibly prompt with refilling tea and changing plates, making the entire experience elegant and comfortable. In short, Banyan Tree not only captivated us with its beautiful surroundings but also won our hearts with its service and cuisine. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality vacation experience! We will definitely choose Banyan Tree again for our next trip to Sanya!

It was a pleasantly surprising stay. The villa hotel is just a few minutes' drive from Atlantis and the duty-free shop, and it has its own food area with coconut chicken, vinegar, and herb duck just a few minutes' walk away. There is also a public swimming pool and gym. They even gave us complimentary coconut water and fruit. The butler service was also very attentive. They even delivered breakfast directly to our room and thoughtfully prepared mosquito repellent.

The private courtyard is very suitable for a family stay. The quality is good, the room is clean, the housekeeper service is great, and there is parking at the door of the villa. It is convenient. The taxi to the duty-free shop starts at the starting price. You can also go to the night market in the evening. I will stay here again next time.

I brought my wife and child for a vacation this time, and I was originally worried about the tight schedule and the child being fussy. However, Earl Xiao Wu discreetly handled everything perfectly throughout our trip. From the moment we got out of the car, he had already taken care of our luggage, check-in, kids' meals, and park reservations. All we had to do was walk with our child. My wife said that even her casual remark about wanting 'hot ginger tea' was met with a cup waiting on the bedside table when we returned to the room that evening. The most amazing part was that we never even asked for help, yet he seemed to read our minds, quietly taking care of every detail. When we returned to our room at night, he had prepared two warm glasses of milk for us, and the child quickly fell asleep after drinking it. A huge thank you to Earl Xiao Wu for his professionalism and thoughtfulness, hidden in every subtle step he took ahead of time, which made us feel so at ease and pleasantly surprised.

Overall we had a good time at this resort with our elderly family member. Our butler Earl Wu was very helpful and provided us with coconuts when we requested them. He definitely contributed to the quality of our stay. The non-smoking rule was fairly consistently enforced across the resort, for example when I pointed out a guest smoking at breakfast and the staff immediately agreed that's not allowed and instructed the man to stop (although I would've hoped staff would preemptively stop the smokers, for eg there was one instance of a Russian guest smoking by the pool which was disappointing). The restaurant Mingxuan was excellent as well and had some unique flavors. We would definitely consider coming back to the resort if we are back in Hainan.

The room was spacious and very comfortable, and the hotel's public areas were well-maintained with plenty of activities. We had a great time here! A big thank you to our little angel Nina for the attentive concierge service; she was incredibly responsive to all our requests. Breakfast was rich and the service excellent. What definitely needs improvement is the check-in efficiency. We waited for nearly half an hour in line to check in when we arrived in the afternoon, and then another ten minutes to get our room card after the room was cleaned. Everything else was great.

The interconnected pools in Building 3 are absolutely stunning, and the public areas are far superior to the Hilton next door. Although the beach has some reefs, it doesn't really affect enjoying the crystal-clear ocean if you're not planning to swim in the sea. Sometimes, you really can't trust the reviews on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform). A big thank you to Celina for her quick communication and warm hospitality, and for the complimentary small seashells and lion toys – my child loved them!

During my second trimester and after the holidays, I chose the well-established Raffles Clear Water Bay from three highly-rated hotels in Lingshui: Indigo, Kimpton, and Raffles. The Raffles, opened in 2013, has recently undergone renovations. The lawns are meticulously maintained, and the palm trees, unaffected by Typhoon Bolaven at the end of September, are thriving. The day before check-in, our butler, Andy, contacted us to confirm our arrival time and helped reserve a scenic spot for us at the Disha Village beach buffet (a buffet right by the beach, with freshly grilled lobster and steak, and even a Zao Po Cu hotpot – the ambiance under the moonlight and lanterns was incredible. Make sure to book your spot with your butler a day in advance). On the day of check-in, he personally greeted us, enthusiastically explained the check-in procedures, and even tested the water temperature for us when showing us to our private pool room. Knowing that I had a bad cold due to the temperature change from Beijing to Hainan, he also arranged for extra bottled water and tissue packs. This was my first impression of Raffles' thoughtful service. Every Tuesday to Sunday evening from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM, the West Reception Hall hosts Raffles' traditional 'Night Ritual.' While listening to the century-old stories told by the Steinway piano, you can also savor the world-renowned 'Singapore Sling' cocktail from Singapore Raffles and the Clear Water Bay limited edition Sling. Andy happened to be the host that evening, and because he knew I was pregnant, he prepared an alcohol-free fruit juice for me – a wonderful touch of detail. Regarding the private pool room type: Unless you're really set on a private pool, I wouldn't recommend it. The privacy isn't great; passersby can clearly see into the room from the shrubs behind. The floor-to-ceiling sliding doors facing the pool, which are the only source of natural light, often need to have the curtains completely drawn (the sheer curtains only provide shade). The room is very suitable for rest, but on the other hand, even with all the overhead lights and lamps on, it's quite dim. I somewhat regret not taking the front desk's advice to upgrade to the Scenic Bay Sea View Suite.

Raffles Hainan Clearwater Bay: Diana's five-star service won my heart! My stay at Raffles Clearwater Bay this time made me fall completely in love with the hotel, all thanks to Butler Diana's service – every detail was a pleasant surprise! As soon as I arrived, she was already waiting in the lobby, proactively taking my luggage. She had also arranged my room in advance according to my preferences. When she learned I wanted to photograph sunset silhouettes, she not only told me the best times but even hand-drew a map showing quiet and scenic spots on the beach. She even remembered to remind me to reapply sunscreen. One day, I spontaneously decided I wanted to try the hotel spa, and she immediately helped me secure an available spot by the window. On the day I was leaving, there was a torrential downpour, and she had a car ready beforehand, shielding me with a large umbrella all the way to the car door. Next time I visit, I'm definitely requesting her again!

This hotel absolutely deserves a five-star review! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was captivated by its beautifully designed, artistic ambiance and captivating aroma. The front desk staff greeted us with warm, welcoming smiles, and managed an incredibly fast 30-second check-in while thoughtfully introducing the hotel's unique services. The room design was truly stunning, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that offered a breathtaking sea view. What truly impressed us was the hotel's exceptional service: upon learning we had an afternoon high-speed train, the restaurant specially arranged an early afternoon tea for us. Every single staff member greeted us with a genuine smile, making us feel like part of the family. The hotel's location is superb, surrounded by a plethora of dining options and shopping malls. This level of quality, combined with such reasonable prices, offers an absolutely perfect and exceptional value-for-money experience. I've already recommended it to all my friends and will definitely be staying here again on my next visit!

## Environment: The hotel is nestled amidst coconut groves and sandy beaches. Open your window to a tropical garden landscape, meticulously maintained, with the pool area resembling an oasis. Every snapshot looks like it's straight out of a luxury resort magazine. The tranquility and comfort truly live up to its reputation for a ”perfect environment.” ## Family-friendly facilities: Highly recommended for families with kids! The kids' club has plenty of slides and climbing structures, and since it wasn't crowded during our stay, they had a wonderful time. ## Guest Room: The standard Blue Bay King Room is spacious and features a balcony with stunning views. The daily buffet breakfast offers a rich variety of dishes, a pleasant ambiance, and the ingredients taste even better. ## Highlight of the experience: The hotel has exclusive sun loungers on the beach, but you need to get there early; otherwise, you'll mostly find Russians already relaxing on them. This truly is a dream vacation destination. (P.S. A big thank you to KIKI for the VIP service, tracking our stay via WeChat throughout and providing multiple thoughtful reminders – the experience was excellent!)

Great service by Amber and Julie! I loved that they were so profound in English and were able to finally help us as not many speak English. The hotel was fantastic, we had a lovely stay! It is more calm, which was really welcoming and so close to Dadonghai and Sanya City for the evening. The bed was really good and the room super spacious.

## Facilities: This hotel is ten years old, so the in-room amenities are quite dated. The cabinets show obvious signs of wear and tear, and the sofa by the bed was especially concerning – I'm not sure if the hygiene was poor, but when I wiped it with a tissue, it came away black. The room itself isn't very spacious. It did come with a garment steamer and a safe, but no mini-fridge. Laundry service also costs extra; it seems like pricier hotels often charge for laundry and don't have self-service laundromats. The hotel's pool area is small, just two pools, one large and one small. There is a row of hotel chairs on the beach. ## Hygiene: Even though I was mentally prepared for the musty smell common in beachfront hotels, the mildew odor in this room was overpowering. My nose felt really uncomfortable when trying to sleep at night. The disposable toothbrush was also surprisingly dirty, covered in dust on the outside – I'm not sure why they wouldn't provide a clean one. ## Environment: The only upside is the direct ocean view; you can even see the sea from the toilet, which is a bit much. Honestly, I really dislike the lack of privacy when showering or using the toilet. Many older hotels, for some reason, love these glass walls, which is awkward whether you're staying with friends or family. ## Service: The only 'smart' feature here is the room key being a wristband, which is convenient for going into the water as you don't have to worry about forgetting it. Each room also came with two bottles of Master Kong water and a welcome fruit plate.

I randomly booked this place because it said it was very close to the beach. However, to actually get to the beach, you have to go around to the traffic lights at the left or right intersection. Still, it's fairly close, and I'm glad I only booked one night. I rated the service as 'good' because the airport transfer I booked wasn't confirmed with me, nor was I reminded about it. Although I ended up not taking the shuttle and decided to take a taxi instead because there was no reminder or follow-up, it still felt a bit off. They also didn't ask if I wanted to participate in any of the package inclusions, like going to Nanshan or taking a boat trip. Well, I guess that's normal; it's a standard procedure, and they can't be overly enthusiastic with every guest every day. I also mistakenly thought the booking included only a single breakfast, and when I asked if I could add another, they weren't very enthusiastic, so I just dropped it. It's a shame, though, as there aren't many good breakfast spots nearby downstairs, and going far to eat is quite inconvenient. I've stayed at hotels two or three times before where I've asked to add breakfast, and they usually do, even if I end up not using it due to waking up late or other reasons. But it's a nice gesture, and free is always good, even if unused. Other reviews mentioned a musty smell, but it's not really a musty smell. Being by the sea, this slightly salty and damp scent is quite normal and not strong. It's actually better than some seaside star-rated hotels. The shower cubicle is quite large, and the water pressure is very strong, almost too strong. The bathroom is comfortable, but it lacks a smart toilet. The balcony is missing two chairs.

A big thank you to our butler, Coco! She proactively added me on WeChat before our trip to share information on hotel activities and booking procedures, and even upgraded us to a sea-view room for free. The sea view was absolutely stunning, perfect for watching the sunset. The complimentary photoshoot offered by the hotel was also great. The hotel has a huge lawn in the common area, which is fantastic for kids to play on. Although the rooms are a bit older, they are impeccably clean. The housekeeping staff are incredibly meticulous. On the first day, I asked for some laundry powder and they sent up two packets. The next day, when they saw I had bought my own laundry detergent, they probably figured I'd use a lot and left me ten packets of laundry powder – so thoughtful and considerate! All in all, it was a very enjoyable trip!

Ignoring some of the negative reviews online, I decided to book a stay in the villa area to experience it myself. The 24-hour shuttle service was incredibly convenient and even fun, like a little roller coaster for kids! The setting is very natural, so there were quite a few bugs, but thankfully they didn't bite. For takeout orders, you had to pick them up outside the premises; it would be even better if they offered direct delivery to the villa. We experienced the pool on a rainy day, and it created such a wonderful ambiance! For just over 1000 [RMB], you really can't find a pool villa like this anywhere else. I'll definitely be returning!

The hotel truly exceeded my expectations. From check-in to check-out, every staff member was incredibly patient and helpful. The resort grounds are stunningly beautiful. The swimming pool was especially beautiful in the evening, particularly during the 'blue hour'. The resort also offers a convenient shuttle service to the beach. What's more, there's a shuttle from the lobby to the rooms, so you hardly have to walk anywhere.

The room I booked came with a private pool, which was quite convenient for a quick dip when the weather was cool. There's also a kids' playground, great for bringing children and getting a brief break, haha. However, the room facilities were quite old, and there was a musty smell. Even after changing to another room, the issue persisted. The small pool was handy, and changing quickly meant not worrying about catching a cold. Still, it wasn't great value for money. Booking a room without a private pool would have been significantly cheaper. It would have been better if I'd brought my own bathrobe. I saw many foreign kids who weren't bothered by the cold, playing in the water early in the morning.

Environment: It's an old hotel in a fantastic location, though the surrounding area is quite noisy, with significant road noise. The beach is right across the street, and in the evenings, you can hear square dancing and crowds, which definitely won't work for light sleepers. Plus, there's construction nearby. Facilities: The room has a balcony with a side view of the beach. There's a swimming pool and a children's play area upstairs, which are perfectly adequate – a real plus. The restaurant, where you pay 58 per person, was surprisingly good; the variety was rich, and the taste was decent. I personally felt it was great value for money. Cleanliness: The room was a bit old, but the cleanliness was quite good. Service: The front desk was particularly bad. I asked if they had bottled water, and they said no. They then told me the only water available for my child was freshly boiled hot water. If they don't have it, they don't have it, but why be so rude and have such a terrible attitude? Why don't they drink freshly boiled water themselves? The housekeeping staff, on the other hand, were quite good. Front desk gets a negative review.

Location: Situated in Yalong Bay, the hotel boasts its own private beach, just a few minutes' walk away. It's perfect for taking photos. Environment: The property is quite large, with well-maintained lawns and a swimming pool. Breakfast: Very abundant, featuring a wide variety of Hainan local snacks alongside both Chinese and Western dishes. A real feast for the eyes. Service: All hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall: Definitely worth a visit. We stayed at the hotel every day and never felt bored, as there were always activities organized.

This time, I stayed in Building 8's full ocean view king room. The moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the large balcony – it's incredibly close to the sea! Not only is the view first-class, but at night, if you close the balcony door, the soundproofing is really good, not affecting sleep at all. The public areas are beautiful. Every time I go to the lobby, I see many people taking photos on the large front terrace! The green lawn and pool areas are maintained daily, and you can really see the effort put in. **Stay:** Check-in was fast. The room was clean and felt new. Both the hard furnishings and soft decorations don't look like an old hotel that has been open for many years; you can tell a lot of effort has gone into maintenance! Housekeeping was very prompt; any requests were answered quickly without waiting. **Food:** The breakfast offerings are similar to hotels of the same caliber, but you can tell the ingredients are of higher quality (80% of the dishes were freshly made, not pre-packaged). I didn't initially plan to have dinner at the hotel, but I happened to catch the beach buffet on a less windy evening and decided to try it. Both the entertainment and food were excellent, and the entertainment changed constantly, which was a pleasant surprise. **Play:** The pool is the best I've experienced so far. It's well-sectioned so both adults and children can have fun, and the water temperature is comfortable. There are always lifeguards by the pool and the sea, so even with kids, you can relax and enjoy the pool, beach, and ocean. The beach is cleaned daily, and there are free warm towels for swimming in the sea. The sand is very fine, the shells are quite intact, and the rinse-off area is well-designed and not crowded. **Suggestions: (More details)** 1. The TV doesn't support screen mirroring, and I couldn't find a way to connect to the balcony ceiling speakers (or the guidance wasn't clear enough for me to find it). This feels a bit outdated. 2. The toiletries (non-bath and body products) are quite low-quality, similar to what you'd find in a budget hotel. 3. The room lighting lacks a master switch. It would be an improvement if the balcony light and sleeping area lights could be turned off with one switch by the bed. 4. Due to the hotel's multi-building layout, rooms near the sea often require walking through long corridors, and the elevators are somewhat complicated. It takes a while to get to the front desk and restaurant. Some areas of the hotel are very mysterious, but it's indeed easy to get lost inside the buildings. Overall, the public areas are beautiful.

The Sanya Yalong Bay Marriott Resort provided an outstanding stay. Choosing the Marriott for this Sanya trip completely exceeded our expectations; we were deeply impressed by their thoughtful service from check-in to check-out! As soon as we arrived, the concierge proactively helped with our luggage. The front desk staff member was efficient and even gave each of us a necklace. Our room was spotless, the bedding soft and comfortable, and housekeeping diligently replenished all amenities—attention to detail was impeccable. The hotel's dining was also a delightful surprise. The breakfast buffet offered a vast variety, from Hainanese Zao Po Cu rice noodles to omelets, fresh fruit, and juices, catering to everyone in the family. What stood out most was the coconut milk at breakfast; my family and I usually dislike coconut, but this was surprisingly good—I'm not sure if it was a purchased product or made in-house, but it gets a big thumbs up 👍🏻. The front desk staff and our butler, Lisa, were incredibly patient ❤️. Dining at the poolside restaurant in the evening, with the sea breeze and fresh seafood, accompanied by beautiful live music, created a perfect ambiance. The recreational facilities were also plentiful, including a huge outdoor pool where inner tubes could be borrowed for free. The five complimentary travel photos turned out beautifully, and there was no pushy sales talk throughout the process. The hotel also offers a duty-free shopping shuttle, making getting around very convenient. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Yalong Bay!

Choosing MGM Grand Sanya for my vacation this time was a 100% fantastic experience. The staff were all very dedicated and their service attitude was superb. It's a very comfortable beachfront resort with a wide variety of evening performances. The hotel's special activities were genuinely great, and the popcorn was delicious. The location is excellent, very close to the sea, and there are water sports activities right next door. While the room facilities show their age, it doesn't affect their functionality. Ordering takeout is also very convenient, as it's close to the Baihua commercial center. The staff are all very enthusiastic and polite. It's a shame there was a typhoon during the two days I stayed.
