The hotel was great, and the staff were very nice and friendly.
The location was excellent, and the ferry to the city was within easy walking distance.
The only thing missing was a few more storage options for clothes in the room. We used the provided baskets.
The service was excellent; all our requests, such as an extra blanket, were fulfilled. Thank you!

The apartment was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped. Although not centrally located, it's incredibly convenient, being just two stops away on the Airport Express. The room was much larger than we expected, making our stay very comfortable.
However, there are a few areas for improvement. Our room had a connecting door to the adjacent unit. We hadn't booked a connecting room, and unfortunately, the soundproofing was quite poor; we could clearly hear noise from next door, which impacted our stay.
Additionally, the property information stated that luggage storage was available. However, due to a change in operations, this service was no longer offered. We ended up having to pay to store our luggage at a neighboring hotel, which was inconsistent with the information provided and caused a fair bit of inconvenience.
Overall, the accommodation was comfortable and well-appointed. If the soundproofing could be improved and the property information updated to accurately reflect available facilities and services, I believe the stay would be even better.

Everything was great except for the cleanliness of the room. After checking in, the room was dusty, the floor was sticky as if the previous guest had cooked and didn't clean up properly. The bed sheets looked like they hadn't been changed, and there were hairs from the previous guest. The room was expensive, but the service didn't justify the price. Everything was perfect except for the cleanliness. I checked the reviews before booking, but I didn't expect to experience this myself. There were many reviews about the cleanliness of the rooms. Should the accommodation provider consider this issue?

The hotel's location is excellent, right by the square and Queen's Department Store. I highly recommend it; getting around is super convenient. The staff were all very friendly and helpful (except for a few in the restaurant who seemed to be from Southeast Asia; they spoke to you as if they were scolding you, and their attitude was quite rude, which really detracted from the overall staff image). Excellent room, excellent location and atmosphere of the hotel.
Staff however, too often, go according to the 'book', and find it hard to think and improvise on the spot. It's as if they are under trained. When checking in there is no need to ask the guest to fill info on the iPad. You have this info, to stay in touch, already. Don't burden the weary traveler with trivial nonsense. If the sun shines, finally after weeks of grey and rain, and a guest sees the patio with tables in the sun, and this guest wants to have tea in the sun outside in the patio, this has to be a possibility. Don't say, well it's not the season so it's closed, it doesn't make sense, you're a top hotel, not the vander Valk. Improvise, think on your feet, explain that he is welcome to sit there and that his tea will be brought out, but it might take a few minutes longer. This way the guest feels listened to and that the moon is even possible.
The kitchen is incredible, the food is wonderful. Last evening I had dinner at the Jansz., two ladies working, were very kind, helpful and attentive, they understood the delicate balance between asking how things are going and leaving the guest alone. I want them to know i appreciate them. Please extend my gratitude to them. Also the Asian looking lady who worked during breakfast this morning, was excellent. Please let her know as well. Finally, the staff at the entrance - getting cabs etc. - are great. Some of the male staff are too - in Dutch, popy yoopy. I am your guest and not your friend. That's all, and that's enough.

I would definitely come back here again! The staff we're very friendly and helpful. The room was cosy and the amenities were great. The room had a yoga mat, full size ironing board and an iron. On the rainy days they even offered umbrellas to take and use for the day. We needed the heating turned up in our room and within minutes it was resolved. Great location – very close to Amsterdam Central Station and within walking distance of the Red Light District. There are also lots of boutiques and concept stores right outside the hotel, which makes it really convenient for shopping and exploring the area.
The room itself looks like it has been recently renovated and is quite modern.
However, the sound insulation is really poor. The hotel is on a street with several bars, and the windows don’t block much noise, so it can get pretty loud at night and it was hard to sleep. Check-in was also really slow.

Great location, close to the train station and the city's main attractions. There's a tram stop nearby, and you can be in the museum district in just 10 minutes.
We were able to check in earlier than expected, and the room looked just like the pictures. It was clean, but very basic – no slippers or tissues. This is the first time I've stayed in a 4-star hotel room without cups (just glasses) and teaspoons (just wooden stirrers). Instant coffee in the room for a 4-star hotel is pretty underwhelming; usually, at this level, you get pour-over coffee or a Nespresso machine.
The price is high, but for the same money, you'd get a much higher standard in a 4-star hotel in neighboring Belgium.FromSAR 761

Room was small and toilet was quite tight, with basic shampoo and shower gel only, but spending most time outdoor exploring it didn’t matter much. The transportation is very convenient, located at the last stop of the northern subway line, and it takes about 10 minutes to get to the city center. However, there's really nothing around the hotel, especially after 8 PM when there's nowhere to stroll and no convenience stores. This is a pretty standard luxury hotel, with no major issues. There's a mini-fridge, but it's not cold enough and doesn't come stocked with anything. However, the umbrella is a high-end carbon fiber one, which is quite rare and a nice touch. The bathroom drain had a bit of a problem, probably a clog from hair that needs to be cleaned promptly. My biggest issue, though, was the front desk – they were incredibly slow! Especially during check-out. Overall experience was great, one of the late morning check-in male staff was really welcoming and even upgraded me to a higher floor with a fantastic view of the river. But since the checkin is 3pm, when I got back, another burlier guy got us our keys but was way too serious and sombre. It's fine but a smile would go a long way. At this hotel, Kennis at the front desk was the only one who was the most warm and polite 👍🏽
He was very kind to my daughter, and for two days in a row, no matter how busy he was, he would immediately stop what he was doing, rush into the staff room, and bring a little gift back for my daughter.
There are many hotels here that don’t include free parking, and some are said to include it on travel sites, but after reading the reviews, it turns out there’s actually a parking fee.
I’ve already done all my research, and even trip.com clearly says this Holiday Inn includes free parking.
At check-in, I was told there would be a charge, but another staff member said it was free.
Then at check-out, they suddenly said there would be a charge again, but in the end it was free.
It was quite confusing.
I also didn’t feel very safe. While I was asleep, it was very noisy outside the room. It sounded like people coming back after drinking, repeatedly pressing our doorbell and trying the handle to open the door. Luckily, I had the door double-locked and had also pushed a chair against it.
The hotel explained that they may have pressed the wrong room by mistake and were not trying to get in to steal anything 🤔
Free breakfast at the hotel, but it was absolutely packed! The cutlery was really dirty, and I reckon they couldn’t get it washed in time. Also, they didn’t check any guest details at all, so it felt like people from the street next door could just walk in and eat without anyone noticing.
There are food markets and budget supermarkets next to the hotel. A free ferry to and from the city centre is about a 10-minute walk away, with frequent services and a journey time of around 2 minutes.的FromSAR 433

The location is a bit out of the way; it's about a 7-minute walk to Tram Line 2 and 12 minutes to the metro station. Getting to the city center takes over half an hour.
The room was very simple and clean, and the air conditioning worked great. The bathroom had a partial wet/dry separation, but water would still splash into the dry area when showering. The shower gel had a unique scent (like a high-end traditional Chinese medicine).
The front desk staff were not very friendly. Both check-in and check-out are self-service, and the staff preferred to chat rather than offer assistance. The employee who handled my luggage storage after check-out was very impatient.FromSAR 293
