Good hotel overall and great location in Panama. Safe area and easy access to sightseeing spots. Only issue is I was told I would get upgraded due to my Marriott Gold Status but at check-in I did not receive an upgrade. I was told it was fully booked, however, I know that wasn’t the case.

The only thing is that the old man has to go around and change to the elevator, so the old man haha has a panoramic view of the invincible scenery!

Excellent hotel, modern room, spacious and very clean. The bed is fantastic huge and super comfortable, a dream. The swimming pool is very large and super pleasant. The buffet breakfast is very very good. The bar is very pleasant but the big plus is the professional, friendly, super efficient, attentive staff, a real five-star service. Well done. 🤩

The golf, swimming pool, sports room, room... everything is perfect and located just a few minutes from the airport.
I'll come back and stay a few days because I've only spent a night before my departure from Panama

The hotel location is very close to the Huawei Panama office, 200 meters walk, the hotel facilities are relatively new, the catering is good, the service staff is very professional, but also help me a little while walking, the trip is very pleasant. Of course, dining at the restaurant next to the hotel is also good.

The attitude of the front desk and the concierge service is very good. The water in the shower is very small and the water pressure is insufficient. On the day I left, a very unpleasant incident happened. I am 100% sure that my passport was placed on the sink, but I suddenly found it No, I thought I was screwed, but finally found it under the mattress! Who's insane to put a passport under a mattress? It's not clear that I want them to help find it, and give a tip if I find it? I advise everyone to be optimistic about your passport, and don't give them any chance to hide your passport!

It's very average, the facilities are old, the hygiene is not good, and the overall atmosphere does not have the soul of W Hotel. This level is similar to that of higher-end chain express hotels in China.

Absolutely fantastic stay! I truly enjoyed Riu from the time I checked in till the time I checked out. I appreciate the staff and the quick convenience of check in process. Not only was the rooms absolutely spotless and clean but their were plenty of elevators to get to the rooms. I really enjoyed the pressed juice from the breakfast the most (absolutely fresh and excellent). The breakfast buffet was a nice feature to have at our time there, along with looking out to the pool(do wish the pool was a tad bit bigger). IT IS A MUST YOU TRY THE RESTAURANT TASTE AND THE BARTENDER DRINKS. Absolutely probably one of the best in the city! The meal at taste was exceptional and the prices are perfect (please don't change because I plan on coming back). From start to finish Riu made my birthday experience worthwhile in Panama. I honestly wouldn't have changed it for the world! Thank you for the housekeeping for always keeping our room clean and us being so trustworthy of leaving suitcase and clothes items out and it wasn't even moved an inch. The beds were some of the most comfiest sheets we slept on in a while and the bathroom was so big and spacious with DOUBLE sinks! We appreciate the friendliness and excitement in activities and guest that we saw everyday. If you are not staying at Riu then what are you doing?FromJPY 21,777

To start it off right I didn’t think my trip included free breakfast until I arrived and the lady at front desk told me! I was excited about the free food. I loved everything about the hotel and the food was on point and the hotel is very clean. The only thing that worried me is the was the quietness where my room was, it made us overthink a little but that didn’t stop anything we still enjoyed it. This is our go-to hotel in Panama City. It's not the best hotel, but it is unbeatable for its price and location. El Cangrejo has a nice local vibe, with locals walking their dogs, numerous cafes and restaurants, and convenience stores. There is a subway station within walking distance. My stay was okay, good location close to amazing restaurants and the multi plaza mall. Breakfast and bar was okay with friendly staff. However the flaws were the room was freezing cold; tried to adjust but remained cold. Turned off the ac for the entire trip but was never hot. Room needs more amenities; offered only coffee we had to ask for tea, no bathrobes or slippers. Also house keeping cleaned rooms at 4 and later when guests are returning from a long day and need to enter. Not a bad hotel but needs to fix those issues.SOLD OUT

Hotel not brand new but well renovated. Upon arrival they gave us the famous room with the bathroom without a door (#1006) then after request, they changed our room.
New bathroom, but the rest of the room (#503) a bit dated, carpet headboard of the bed. Very comfortable bed, but soundproofing between the rooms a bit poor. Nice and well equipped gym. The pool on the 2nd floor is a bit noisy and smelly, given the various ventilations.

Clean and great location. Lacking in customer service - we were on the 18th floor, which was a good view but we had some party people beside us each night, keeping us up at night (3-4am) I would think security would notice and tell them to shut it down.
Pool was clean, hot pool was not functional.

The hotel staff was fantastic. Especially the housekeeping ladies were very skilled, courteous, and punctual.
However, a major downside of this hotel concerns the showers in the rooms, which should be a basic and essential service in a four-star hotel.
The water quality is very poor, and the shower water flow is extremely low and inconsistent, with no way to adjust the temperature properly.

It started out nice because they allowed us to check in early. Once he started the process, I let him know that we preferred the king size bed as my reservation was for a ”standard room with 2 double beds or a king bed”. That was when I started getting disappointed as he said it would be an extra charge of $25 for the king bed. I questioned why and was told that my reservation was for a standard room and it was extra for a king bed. I showed him what it said but he insisted it was extra. My husband just wanted to get checked in, so he paid for it with his credit card.
We were very satisfied with our room as it was nice and clean and on the bottom floor. The TV would not play any channels of any kind so we couldn't even have that on for entertainment. We went out to the pool area only to find out that the poolside bar was closed and would not be opened during our stay. (05/05/2025). When I choose a place to stay, I expect to be able to enjoy the amenities listed. It did not list anything about being a low season or that the poolside bar would be closed. We had been looking forward to lounging in the pool while having cocktails. We're went inside to the bar and had to look around to find someone to get us drinks. Later on, we did have a very nice dinner in the restaurant with good service.
We had to leave early in the morning and it was great to have shuttle service available and ready to take us to the airport. The driver was very efficient and safe.
I did talk to the front desk about the extra $25 charge because I still felt that we should not have been charged extra. He was very apologetic and understood my point but could only give me a card with a number to call. Overall it is a beautiful property and the rooms are comfortable.FromJPY 13,277
