Reviews From Real Travelers
My stay and dining experience at the Mandarin Oriental, Qianmen, Beijing, completely resonated with me, a frequent globetrotter and frequent guest at Amman and The Peninsula Hotels. This hotel is undeniably one of the top-tier in China, both in terms of amenities and service. The most impressive aspect was the Yanting restaurant. While it hasn't yet received a Michelin star, as a longtime Michelin enthusiast, I believe it's only a matter of time. Yanting's selection of seasonal ingredients and presentation are truly top-tier Chinese cuisine. While its exceptionally rare and unique location may compare favorably to Amman in terms of pricing, the Mandarin Oriental, Qianmen, Beijing, truly stands head and shoulders above the rest in terms of overall quality and service. My stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Beijing, was particularly captivating, as I was struck by the enthusiastic and meticulous service of the entire butler team. I'd like to express my special thanks to Marcua, Ethan, Xiao Zhao, Xiao Han, Steve, Chris, and Austin for their thoughtfulness, warmth, and warmth during our stay, making our stay a truly enjoyable and relaxing one.
- Aixiaodexiaomicai
The service was good, but I'm not sure why the butler assigned to me only showed up once, on check-in day! The SPA was fantastic, and of course, the most important thing for a spa is the therapist's skill. If I remember correctly, the one who served me was named Maggie! As a hotel that topped the domestic hotel prices upon opening, the actual stay experience didn't quite feel worth the money. Due to its location, the hotel's public areas are limited. Even cultural classes have to be held in guest rooms. However, this time I learned about intangible cultural heritage gold leaf painting, and the hotel provided tools, so I can continue creating at home! In summary, whether it's dining, room facilities, service details, or other aspects, the hotel still has room for improvement. Please keep striving to become a true benchmark in the hotel industry, and not just a price king!

Before check-in, private concierge Danika proactively added me on WeChat to ask about my stay and introduce the hotel's facilities and restaurants. The room was well-maintained, and they provided a generous welcome amenity. The bedding was very comfortable, and the hotel's location is great, right next to Wangfujing. At check-out, Danika specially wrote a card wishing me a smooth journey to my next destination 🥹. I would definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Forbidden City and Wangfujing. The quadrangle courtyard is beautiful and it's a unique hotel in Beijing. Although we checked in a bit late, the hotel handled it promptly and even prepared gifts for the children and the whole family. Our butler, Willow, was beautiful and patient, and the concierge, Will, had a great service attitude, even helping us send our luggage to our next hotel. We will definitely come back again.

It is very convenient to travel by car with the elderly, children and dogs. It is located halfway up the mountain next to Gubei Water Town. The housekeeper registered the car in advance, so the car can be parked directly downstairs. The room is large and comfortable, and the children are also very happy.

The room was very nice. I was very tired from the two-day trip to Gubei, but my family felt that the best thing was to stay here and have a hot pot in the room to keep warm and warm. The children also had fun playing with Lego in the room and playing on the swing. Very happy too🥳Awesome👍

Reviews From Real Travelers
On weekends, a family came out to play and enjoy the summer in Beijing. The environment of the homestay is very good. My favorite should be the large terrace on the roof. It is very cool to blow a small wind at night. It is good to raise a glass and drink with three or five friends. The homestay provides a lot of things, eating, drinking and having fun, and the boss and housekeeper are very good.

The former Wangfu, the courtyard house that can be accommodated now, is very close to Nanluoguxiang, very quiet in the middle of noisy, sent the manager's arrangement to a friend, the friend said: It feels like a big event, the movie viewing experience is excellent, the environment sound effect, the terrace meal just catches up with the sunset, let people linger, The restaurant supervisor not only arranges food, but also helps to leave beautiful scenery. Following a strong recommendation from friends, we booked the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing. Our butler, Lina, provided incredibly professional service and thorough explanations, making us feel completely at home from the moment we checked in until our departure. The hotel's facilities, service, and location were all exceptional, making it incredibly convenient to get around! In the evening, we enjoyed drinks at MO Bar, and in the morning, enjoyed breakfast with a view of the Forbidden City – this truly embodies the unique charm of 'Old Beijing'. Of all the hotels we've stayed at in Beijing, none has come close to matching the experience offered by this Mandarin Oriental. We will definitely be staying at the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing again on our next trip to Beijing.
- Albert g
My daughter absolutely adores the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, which is why we always stay here when we come to Beijing. The Mandarin Room offers direct views of the Forbidden City, and it's wonderfully cool and comfortable to enjoy the scenery from our room, even in the height of summer. I really want to commend the hotel's service. Cassie, in particular, offered thoughtful daily tips and was incredibly attentive to our little one's needs. All the other staff were also warm, genuine, and truly welcoming – a far cry from just cold politeness. When the facilities are on par, outstanding service is truly the ultimate differentiator.

Service: Absolutely fantastic. Every staff member was incredibly proactive, always anticipating needs and resolving issues efficiently. They were quick to adjust plans, which made my stay very pleasant. They offered a different 'goodnight soup' each evening; it was a shame I was always too full from dinner to try it. I really loved the complimentary xiangyunsha pouch. Food: I tried both RB and Rongfu Banquet meals, and they were exceptionally delicious. The fruit quality was excellent. I returned to my room stuffed every night; the portions were quite generous. The environment was quiet, and breakfast hours were long, extending until past 1 PM. While the selection wasn't huge, the taste was great. I highly recommend the rice noodles. Room: The cleanliness was top-notch. The room itself was beautiful and very artistic, with a view of the distant mountains. Sitting in the courtyard in the morning listening to the birds was very relaxing. The overall environment was quiet, though the view wasn't as expansive as I'd hoped. The hotel offered a few small activities, which I enjoyed and found pleasant. I also appreciated the policy of not allowing children under 12 or pets. Now for a few minor drawbacks: Considering the holiday pricing, the room structure felt a bit small; it was long but not wide enough, making the living space slightly inadequate. The shower and bathtub frequently dripped, which sometimes disturbed my sleep. We didn't particularly like the visual effect of the wall behind the shower when the lights were off at night; it felt a bit uncomfortable. Also, the duvet made noise when turning over, which affected my sleep.

My husband and I escaped the city for two days. We drove up a winding mountain road to the hotel. The moment the big gate opened and we drove in, the mountain view that greeted us felt like another world – absolutely breathtaking. The resort is built around the hotel, and as soon as we stepped out of the car, a staff member was there to greet us and help with our luggage. We sat on the sofa, still mesmerized by the lush green mountain scenery, while the staff brought over the check-in documents. Signing and swiping the card, they provided impeccable, squatting service throughout, always friendly and enthusiastic. They then escorted us to our room, explaining everything along the way. Breakfast is served until 1:30 PM, with unlimited access. It’s a truly relaxing place for a vacation, where day and night blend seamlessly. For dinner, we usually ate at Xin Rong Ji or the charcoal-grilled Western restaurant. The spa was also great, and the gym even has Gyrotonic equipment. I have to say, the founder really has excellent taste; even the small details, like the niche wafer biscuits in the mini-fridge, were delicious! We didn't get to try the cinema or the pool, and only had a quick look at the bar. There’s even a cigar bar! We'll have to leave some things for our next visit.

The room temperature was just right, and the interior decor was tastefully unified. The bed was comfortable and supportive, unlike many hotels where they're too soft. Breakfast was rich, delicious, and fresh. The staff were warm and attentive without being overbearing. I was satisfied with the spa. However, the female cashier at the outdoor bar made me a bit uncomfortable. I ordered two teas and charged them to my room, providing my room number and name, but she still insisted on asking for my phone number, as if I were going to skip out on the bill. When I charged the spa service to my room, there was no such questioning or distrustful tone, nor did it feel awkward. I really disliked the service at the outdoor bar. All the other staff, including the front desk, parking attendants, cleaners, and restaurant staff, were very professional and dedicated.

Facilities: Retro style with a Chinese aesthetic. Cleanliness: Spotless. Environment: A prime location. Service: Five-star service. Enjoyed the Aman exclusive benefit of two Summer Palace tickets – having it right next door was incredibly convenient. I'll definitely be back, probably in autumn with my mom for another experience. It'll be beautiful then. I can already picture the red walls of the courtyard houses against a snowy winter backdrop. Absolutely stunning.

The homestay was built on the old house on the mountainside, and it smells very nostalgic. We were built by a group of 120 colleagues and chose a place that was selected for a long time. The landlord communicated very well, and gave us a detailed introduction to the facilities and usage methods in the house. Our needs helped us think ahead of time. The entertainment facilities in the homestay are mainly mahjong and karaoke. The sound effect of karaoke is very good. The songs in the song table are also very complete. The team 70,80,90 is very satisfied. Everyone sings hi. This time we booked the barbecue ingredients in advance in the yard, roasting while eating and drinking, very comfortable. Unfortunately, the weather is still cold, the small pool made by the hotel can not be played, and it will be more fun to wait for the summer.
- Guest User
A great experience. I found this low-key homestay on the Internet by accident. I came here during the week and there were no other guests. I accidentally contracted the entire small courtyard. The boss is very close to the people and personally called to arrange check-in and other matters. The aunt next door is the waiter of the hotel, on call, warm and thoughtful, and the breakfast is very rich and delicious. The decoration style of the homestay is both retro and romantic, while retaining the original appearance of the old house. You can also barbecue in the yard. It is a place worth visiting again.

Seriously, the moment I walked in, the front desk lady's smile just warmed my heart! She immediately told us we could get a free room upgrade – talk about good luck, it cut my travel fatigue in half! The room itself was amazing! Bright and spotless, I even ran my hand along the corners, absolutely dust-free! It wasn't huge, but it had everything, neatly arranged without feeling cramped. And the soundproofing? Incredible! Once the window was closed at night, it was super quiet. Combined with how comfy the bed was, I practically fell asleep instantly! Breakfast was also top-notch, from Chinese congee to Western pastries, a huge variety, filling and delicious! Plus, the hotel's location is super convenient; just around the corner is a food street – perfect for a night out eating and exploring! All in all, this experience was fantastic! I've already decided this is my go-to place whenever I'm in the area! Trust me, go stay here!

Overall, I was very satisfied. Even without my ID, I could use electronic verification for check-in. And if you forget your charger, you can borrow one from the front desk. The front desk staff, especially the ladies, were incredibly nice, and every employee had a smile on their face. The physical facilities met expectations, but more importantly, the soft services were also excellent, making me feel truly valued as a guest. **Service:** The in-room dining was fantastic; the roasted duck and lychee shrimp balls were delicious! You can also order takeout, and a robot will deliver it. **Facilities:** The only minor issue was with ride-hailing. When setting the destination to the hotel lobby, the navigation consistently directed drivers to the exit gate. However, this gate is exit-only and cannot be entered. I'm not sure why ride-hailing apps would navigate this way, but every time I took a taxi, I couldn't be dropped off directly at the lobby entrance. I always had to walk in from the exit gate. I hope this can be improved.

This time, I brought my child to the hotel. I'd inquired beforehand and knew they couldn't provide a crib, so I made do by pushing the sofa and bed together to create a safe sleeping space. The hotel's service attitude was good, and the room was very spacious. I tried out the pool in the morning; it's connected to the gym. During the Chinese New Year, I brought my family to stay here, and the experience wasn't great. This time, I decided to give it another shot, and the experience has significantly improved. From the front desk to the room service, everyone was quite professional, making up for a lot of the previous negative impression. I also want to commend them for seemingly adding staff at the elevator entrance on each floor overnight. My sense of security immediately skyrocketed. I hope this excellent practice continues. There are also plenty of great food options around the hotel, which is a big plus.

My wife and I enjoyed our 6 days stay. The frontline staff from the door to the front desk were well trained, led and empowered to make immediate impact in service delivery. Our best experience in our China travel thus far. Well done and Thank you! Rooms were spacious and comfortable with the wash basin n toilet/shower separated. Very functional. We were presently surprised by the quality of the toothbrush provided in the room. See picture. Had not seen this quality even in hotels in many other developed countries. But suggest the hotel consider change the shaver though. Located less than 10 mins walk to the line 1 n 2 Jiangguomen subway, for easy reach to most attractions. This will be our new base whenever we are back in Beijing.

Beijing Xinqiao Hotel was such a perfect start to our first trip to China! The front desk staff was helpful and attentive. The room was great, with such a cool city view!! The bed was super comfortable. Please note: there is no heating in the rooms, but they do provide warm blankets! We really appreciated all of the room amenities (especially the great smelling shampoo and conditioner!) but especially liked the bottles of water. After long days of walking it was nice to have them in the room. The hotel is bustling with tourists and the lobby is usually busy, but our room was quiet! Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious - but be warned going around 9 AM you may need to be patient to wait for a table. I received packages while there and the concierge assisted with that as well. A wonderful stay - highly recommend!!!

I brought my son, a military enthusiast, to this hotel to watch the parade. After extensive research, I chose this hotel over the Park Hyatt, specifically booking a room with a view of Chang'an Avenue. My research had indicated that rooms with a good, unobstructed view of Chang'an Avenue are limited, so arriving early was recommended. We got to the hotel a little after 10 AM and naturally had to wait for the previous night's guests to check out before we could check in. I particularly want to commend the service: 1. During our stay, middle schools in Beijing were conducting online classes from home. When we arrived, my son was in the middle of an online class. The staff quickly arranged a quiet room for him to continue his class and promised to hold a room for us. We finally checked in at 2 PM, and true to their word, the room they reserved had an excellent view, allowing us to watch the entire parade comfortably from our room. 2. The bellhop was incredibly diligent; seeing I had a lot of luggage, he proactively helped me with everything. His service attitude was excellent throughout, and we even received a small welcome gift upon check-in. While the hotel's facilities aren't brand new, they are impeccably clean. The hotel's price was very reasonable, and there are also countless great restaurants and attractions nearby. Overall, it's a fantastic value-for-money hotel that I would highly recommend to any friends visiting Beijing. It was a truly delightful and incredibly satisfying stay. Many thanks to all the staff for their professional and thoughtful service.

This is the perfect hotel for you to rest up when exploring the city, it’s nothing fancy but then again you get what you pay for, some rooms are quite small with no windows but then again it’s very likely that you won’t be spending much time in a hotel room instead of exploring the city. Now locating the hotel can be a bit difficult but there’s lots of famous clubs around, so you can enter one of the clubs name and ask any guards you might find by the gate and they’ll gladly help you.
