After all, it is five stars and the hardware is good. The room is big enough and the breakfast is rich enough, especially the friendly staff. The underground car park is very convenient, with 16 Euros overnight, and it is 16 Euros when you go in and out several times during the day. The only thing is that there is no medical first aid kit, and the child has fallen without a disinfectant. . . . There is a park nearby and children like it.

What made me quite disappointed is that I checked in in the morning and they said the room is not ready. So I left my luggages at reception. But they did not help me put my luggages into my room. Usually, 5-star hotels will help guests put luggage’s into the room, but this one didn’t. Besides, they arranged me in a corner room at the end with a very bad view. It made me feel that I’m in the jail.

We were looking for a hotel within easy walking distance to the old city. And with a good breakfast. Innside was modern and comfortable. The rooftop breakfast was good with a great view. Note that the restaurant and rooftop bar are closed Sunday and Monday. We were given a choice of room on the quiet side, or city view. Our fourth floor city view room was great, but a lower floor would not be much of a view. Front desk staff was quick, friendly snd helpful with directions, suggestions and reservations. The city has great charm, history and the Christmas market was wonderful.

The hotel is near to the old town and its shops and restaurants. The car can be parked in the hotel´s garage. The whole staff was very friendly. Everything was to our satisfaction. We forgot an e-book reader in the room on our departure. The reception team managed to send it to our place in less than a 1 day. Many thanks

I couldn’t find anything I didn’t like about this hotel or location insofar as location, cleanliness or staff. In fact, the breakfast was so far superior to ANY Hampton at home (in US) as to be comical. Huge assortment of choices. The room was huge, quiet and very clean (think floorboards, bathroom tile, and closet!) Alas, they have (unfortunately) adopted the US practice of using COVID to cut costs. There is apparently no housekeeping on weekends, so they put a cart out with supplies. Give me a break. The ersatz fireplace in the lobby is silly and the sliding bathroom doors at European Hamptons continue to annoy. But overall, a very superior product

Great location for a stopover in Aachen. We drove over from London and stoped off here for the night. Close to the main roads north of the city and an easy 25 min walk over the hill into the centre of town. Underground parking was convenient. Rooms are compact (like most new hotels) but modern, comfortable and well equipped. Included breakfast was generous, there is some outdoor seating and the morning staff were friendly. There is a small fitness room on the top floor which we used before breakfast. Great start to the day. Overall - good value, clean and modern.

Nice hotel at a good central location. Our room was spacious although quite warm (no airco). Shower facilities were ok, but the toilet space was extremely cramped. The bedding was not 100% clean. The service at the reception was very friendly. Excellent breakfast, lots of choice, omelettes or fried eggs on order, with super service by Abdallah. No parking, you have to put your care in one of the (very busy) parking garages nearby.

Opposite the DSH test center, because it takes a long time to enter the venue, it is even too late to go to the exam after sleeping until nine o'clock, and then have breakfast, you can see the situation outside the exam room, and you can go downstairs after you enter the venue. It is very suitable to come to aachen to take the dsh exam. Children's shoes. The hotel configuration is quite satisfactory.

I loved the location. Not a bad walk from the train station and heheh you are just at the edge of the good stuff- an old German restaurant next door, the Cathedral a block or 2 around the corner. The bar wasn’t as appealing as some as the other Motel Ones I’ve been too- a little more business feeling. But I’ve come to love the color and decor scheme of this chain. Always super quiet and serene.

I stayed for over a week at the Novotel in Aachen while on a business trip. The hotel is ideally situated next to a great shopping area. Parking is super easy and you need to use our card key to access the elevator. The same card key access is required to enter the lobby after hours. Seems very secure and safe. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. My room as an ”executive” room on the 4th floor, was on a corner and had floor to ceiling windows. What I liked: - Very quiet room - Comfortable bed - Mini-fridge with window and free daily drinks and snacks (5 Item selection including wine and beer) - Great desk setup with memory foam chair - Good TV with external HDMI input - Real glasses in the room - Bathroom wall mounted soap dispenser + other amenities - Nespresso machine with pods and cream To improve - WiFi, even though i was on the premium plan, the signal was weak to moderate - No USB ports - Water pressure just ok - Bathroom sink has not much counter space - AirCon only goes so low (perhaps 24/25?) as other reviewers have noted TIP: If you arrive on a Sunday to Aachen, almost everything is closed, however, towns in Netherlands are as close as a 20 minute drive and most stores are open from noon on Sunday
- Guest User
The hotel was also close to many restaurants and city locations. The rooms were clean and very nice. Staff was friendly and cared about our comfort. You have to pay for parking, and they do not give you a credit for the parking which makes the stay more expensive than just the room costs.

On the side of the road, it is a little far from the city, but there is a 51 bus to the train station at the entrance, 2.7 euros. You can get a ticket on the train. The price is a little expensive. However, breakfast is included. 1200 one night.
- WEI
The parking lot charges EUR32 per night, which is a bit outrageous. For breakfast, you can consider eating at a burger restaurant 300 meters near the hotel. The double beds are relatively large, and the environment is quiet and comfortable.

Visited Art Hotel Aachen Superior due to a work meeting hold in Aachen in mid July! The location is very quiet and not far from the centre ! We had a big almost an apartment size & style room with a huge balcony all around the room! The service is more than ok with a good functionality at the front desk! They have a pool indoors but during our stay didn’t see really anyone making use of it! I reckon , probably because is not very inviting! Normal good breakfast and polite staff! If there is another time needed to visit Aachen again I would stay at the same Hotel!!!

I did not expect this in a highly residential area, but was pleasantly surprised to find a hotel which offered a large room (huge, actually), great breakfast, and super friendly personal. Great value for money. If you have a car you can park in the garage, or for free in the street. Wellness options, and a restaurant on site. I will be staying here again.

I have stayed in this hotel quite a number of times and consistently the quality of my stay has been high. This time was no exception. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room and the bathroom were spotless and had everything I needed. The WiFi was complimentary and worked really well. The signal was strong and stable. There was one thing that I'd like to see changed though. You need to register every day, but the login process is confusing. After you've agreed to the terms and conditions and clicked on the button to get the free WiFi, another window pops up and it wants to know things from you. This is however not needed to sign up for the WiFi and seems to be purely for marketing purposes. By clicking on the right link, you can skip it. The room was not all that large, but the space was definitely adequate. There was more than enough space for my clothes and other things. The water boiler plus complimentary tea and coffee was convenient, just as the very large safety deposit box that easily fit my 15” laptop, plus other belongings. The work desk was small and especially with a regular chair, not suitable to work at for a longer period of time. The TV was small and had a limited set of channels, but that was not so relevant for me. A detail, but really useful, is that there are sufficient power outlets and at the right place. This makes it very easy to charge your devices. The bathroom was on the small side, but fully functional and the water pressure from the showerhead was more than sufficient. Only minor thing that I've noticed in the past too, is that it requires some engineering creativity to keep the showerhead in the right position. This should definitely be improved. It is annoying and unnecessary. Last, but not at all least, was the breakfast buffet. I really enjoyed it. This is mostly a continental style buffet, but with an amazing amount of choices, including various types of fresh and very tasty breads, yoghurts, fruits, cheeses, juices, cereal, etc. This is a great example to other hotels how to serve a healthy, yet delicious breakfast.

Mercure Aachen has best location for city centre so after staying multiple times in Novotel we thought we will give it a try. I was hesitating before as we generally don’t stay in three star hotels but I was curious. We booked their most premium room which looked like junior suite with furniture partition wall. I thought this will work for family stay with 16 years old. When we entered the room on the second floor we found ourselves in a depressing dark room with all space taken by bed and reclined sofa bed. I went downstairs to query that and was told that no other alternative was available for boyh nights. At this point I checked they had availability in Novotel and told reception we are not staying there. At this point alternative was suddenly found and we were presented with light corner room on 5th floor. It was light with terrace all around it and did not feel so cramped so we decided to stay there. All this treatment was dissapointing - especially that I am platinum member and they should gurantee me room availability. Not only I did not receive and upgrade (fair enough I already booked most expensive option) but they attempted to downgrade me and charge me for better! I am writing this for everybody else who expects so called privilege room as you may end up with nasty surprise! Breakfast was very average, nothing to praise. Housekeeping did not replace tea and took away extra cushion from my bed! The main street is noisy so one must sleep with windows closed which for somebody like me means waking up. Parking is across this busy street, please use Mercure entrance, otherwise it will cost you 5 Euros to leave wrong section of the parking. We decided to exit it as non hotel section of parking is easily accessible and did not feel safe at all. Upon checkout I was told I got small discount but when I checked my bill - confirmed rate plus parking - it did add up to what I paid so no discount was in fact was applied… Overall the only positive was a location. I would only return if they assure me I will get allocated what I booked!

I stayed here, with my brothers, for 4 nights/5 days to meet up with 2 other brothers and family/friends. We had an excellent stay, made even better by the service of Nina and Marcus who were very, very helpful, friendly and NOTHING was ever a bother, especially Nina. They are an absolute assett to this hotel and I hope the hotel recognise this. Everything else within the hotel, including staff, accomodation and facilities were great. Nice (small) pool outside, within walking distance of the town centre (20 mins approx) Danke Mercure Europlatz

The location of the hostel is very convenient but has a lot of downsides as well. It is near the station, which also means a lot of train/railway noise (a bit less during the night). Also, there was a Punk club/party happening next door that caused a lot of noise during the weekend and not a nice atmosphere outside the hostel door. The female dorm was okay, but the shared bathroom was not cleaned properly. The common areas, like the lobby and kitchen, are not well maintained.

A small and pleasant hotel with friendly staff, simple but carefully organized breakfast, beautiful beds. There were many people who were staying for work (through the week, no holiday time) and therefore already heard the first doors. That would not disturb. Room spacious superior was very clean and clean. The standard room was small, comfortable and clean. The Wellness costs 5 euros per person. Delightful hot saunas with the pool free of charge.

I spent three nights at the Hotel Regence, Aachen, in March 2024. I took a Queen Room on the fourth floor, which was fine for a short break. The multi-lingual staff were excellent, attentive, engaged and professional. Although the hotel does not offer an evening restaurant service, the staff recommended an Italian restaurant in town for supper. The hotel breakfast buffet was superb. Wifi is available throughout the hotel. I would happily stay in this hotel again.

The hotel is ideally located, just 200 metres from the Aix-la-Chapelle station. The room was very good, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the earphone was quite flat (I used both earphones to have a good comfort). The hotel was very comfortable and comfortable and was very comfortable and very comfortable. The breakfast is the one you can expect from a hotel like this, i.e. with a mix of traditional breakfast (broad, confectionery, chocolate, cheese, charcuterie) and continental (with brown egg, lamb, sauce, ...). What may be missing is winemaking (chocolate bread, growing, butter cock) to diversify it further.
