Reviews From Real Travelers
Reviews vary greatly for this property and that in part must be due to such a varied amount of accommodation available within the Hotel Gold River complex. We had previously stayed at the highest category hotel here Mansion De Lucy and was unsure how Gold River would compare, it turned out very favourably indeed. One concern we had was finding out that the fast pass options for rides were no longer granted for length of stay and instead in general it did appear there were few advantages of staying on resort however we found out that certain fast passes that include a single ride on each of the main attractions are valid for use over 2 consecutive days, it is well worth adding on the 1st row supplement which is just 5 Euro. This alongside a Seasme Adventure fast pass of 7 Euro meant it was 50 Euro each for 2 days of guaranteed rides. So for our 5 night stay we opted for this on our 2nd and 3rd day, and then our 5th and 6th final day. Ferrari Land is still included for 1 visit per stay and we also opted for the fast pass there too 23 Euro as we expected it to be busy as it was unusually open at night after PortAventura had closed. We opted for a full board package with Jet 2 and this made our spending money on resort go so far as we found the 3 course lunch that could be taken at numerous quick service restaurants was sufficient to share so we often would split our Lunches in the park up which also include a drink (bar a 1 Euro reusable cup charge) Food quality was outstanding, works out at about £16.50 for 3 course including a drink if you aren't full board so great value, think pasta bolognese to start, chicken dippers and fries for main, fresh fruit salad for dessert and a drink. I had been in touch with the hotel prior to our visit and asked to add on our fast passes along with some flowers and Cava alongside a request for a room in the main city hall, they were extremely efficient and helpful in arranging this and upon arrival everything had been taken care of, including the requested room in City Hall with the most amazing views of both parks and the sea. I would like to know how much Disney would try and extort from you for this view. The room was very clean and serviced daily with a nice deep bath, quite noisy at 10pm which seemed to be the most popular time for guests to eat but by Midnight very quiet. I did have concerns about the bookings for the restaurant as others have commented you get a 40 min time limit for breakfast and an hour for dinner for a couple this was fine but a large family may struggle. We found out on the last 2 nights that still water was complimentary at dinner. At both breakfast and dinner there was the most wonderful bread station which had a very large choice of different bread and in the morning pastries. Food was well topped up and loads kf choice for starters and desserts, a little less so for main courses and if nothing we fancied we chose from the kids options which are more fast food. Service was lovely thr

Just returned from 5 days at hotel gold river upon arrival we was given very basic instructions on how to find our room we got lost as it’s such big hotel they could do with providing guests with some sort of map of the hotel in your welcome pack our room itself was basic but clean the bath room door was creaking which wasn’t ideal at night as it would wake us up every time some one visited the bathroom such easy fix, the AC worked well the hotel itself doesn’t have a supermarket which is a nightmare really as the nearest shop is a 30 minute walk away you have to buy bottled water from vending machine €2.60 for a 50cl bottle rip off although the gift shop does have a very small section as you enter which as few essentials like toiletries but they are very over priced aswell €6.99 for emergency box of tampons if you do go into salou make sure you stock up on essentials like bottled water and snacks as it’s much cheaper than the hotel the evening entertainment was so basic there really isn’t anything to do at night kiddie disco all in Spanish which lasted for about 20 minutes is about it you book a time slot for your meals 40 minutes in the morning time slot isn’t long enough as you can spend 5 minutes of that queuing to get in they are very strict on 40 minute rule and hour for your evening meal the food is what you expect from Spanish hotel lots of variety providing your not a picky eater mosquito are really bad you can’t even sit by the pool and relax as you get eaten alive by them they are everywhere especially in the evening We came home covered in bites I will do desperate review on portaventura world all in all the hotel was ok for few night wouldn’t want to do any longer.

Great option to stay if you want to visit Port Aventura amusement park. Staying for the night at the hotel will grant you access to the park on both days, the check-in and the check-out. Rooms are clean and comfortable, for a good rest after spending the day at the park. The swimming pool is also amazing, big and beautiful, it is an adventure in itself. Only issue is the service: you can feel that the staff do their best, however during peak season, they are so busy that for sure you will have to line up in order to get anything done. They are moving ahead and making moves for automatic self-service processes: like self- check out, but still is not enough. You gotta then have some patience and wait until your turn comes.

Amazing! We were staying at the first day of hotel’s work in this year so we say almost empty hotel. Staff was nice, food was great and on top of that we had access to the parks. For that type of the hotel I’d like to get more amenities and products in bathroom. Cleanliness was good thought.

We stayed here with a large group of friends, Montse. I hope i got your name right. You were excellent, and thank you for your patience. lol we had an issue with a party member but was dealt with amicably and very professionally. As for the hotel . The pool was top-notch and cold, but i like that . Bar was decent , and the food was average .but being a chef myself, I am critical.there is a quiz karaoke and bingo on Each night The rooms were fabulous, very spacious and clean , and the bed I found very comfortable. There is everything we needed the shower head needs replaced but again .that's materialistic. Reception girls are really on point and fantastic to work with. For me, it is a great place and will return (with my family next time ) .thank you .

Location was great, close to beach, markets, trains & buses. Taxis outside door. Also had 'seated scooters' available if required for mobility issues. Staff were great, helpful and very pleasant. Room was self service, clean and comfortable. It had loo roll, shower gels and washing up liquid in place on arrival. Plenty of towels. On day 3 the cleaners came to restock for us. Comfortable beds with extra pillows and blankets. Wifi a little spotty on occassion. Decent size balcony. Some noise from the bar near by but nothing crazy. Ate in the resturant once but steak not done correctly. Would definately go back.

Good first impressions - well put together hotel with great amenities and nice staff. First evening I ordered room service - It took over 1hour 15 minutes to arrive, and that's after I went to ask at the reception. Also the room door wouldn't shut properly - it was still open when it seemingly had clunked shut - but this was dealt with swiftly, thank you. First shower I had - oh dear - it has a head with one narrow spray (not like a regular/ normal round or rectangular one) that fires at you almost horizontally and in a narrow clump (irritating and impractical) - so even when you try and slow the pressure, it still goes to the back of the bath, over the bath end, and swamps the bathroom - firstly you simply cannot shower with such a dumb 'design student' reject style shower head, and secondly you'll spend several minutes after finishing having a shower, using up all the towels to mop the bathroom floor, and leave them in a giant wet mess, only to start smelling during the night - terrific (not) ! The last time I experienced a shower head that went only horizontal over the back of the bath, was a (very good, apart from this,) two star hotel in Morocco - but even that one had a regular round head (so you could actually wash properly/ normally under it), not a single tiny narrow head like at this hotel. The room I had was the cheapest, and apart from not having an opening window (I know this is kind of standard these days, so I'm not bothered), it was a well appointed comfortable room and even had a side view of the Med, which was great. People will always come to this hotel because of its awesome location, including a roof terrace ..commanding some of the best full vantage points in Tarragona (and many other reasons), but I hope the complacency of them knowing this, doesn't hold them back from considering customers' improvements / suggestions. I had pasta carbonara for dinner the 2nd night - a few tubes of pasta in a thin limp sauce, with some almost microscopic strands of ham (seemed like a microwave job) - no bread with it, no salad, very very unsatisfactory it was ..I was still hungry, so I ordered a small pizza, which was ok, but seemed like a basic supermarket one (it wasn't good), and it took a long time to arrive. The rooftop pool, they call a 'plunge pool', but this is underselling it - I did lots of lengths in it, it's maybe 4ft deep .. it's great. The lower pool is also nice and is much bigger and deeper. The day I left, the fire alarm went off at about 7am - A bit annoying. Some people started to leave the building and some probably didn't. This is overall a very good hotel, and I was really impressed. I liked the staff on reception, the breakfast staff and the rooftop bar/ restaurant staff - they were all very friendly and very efficient - This is especially nice when you're by yourself. Tarragona is great and swimming in the sea was wonderful too.

Fantastic hotel. Staff really friendly, hotel clean, beautifully designed. Room large with a fantastic view. Bar welcoming with a great selection of drinks. Breakfast had everything you could possibly want to start the day. Roof top bar and pool very chilled. Pool was closed as we were here end of October. Few minutes walk to train station/old town/beach. Brilliant location

We found the hotel to be very suitable for us as it was lovely quiet, very relaxing with lots of mature palm trees and great swimming pools. All the noisy attractions very nearby so there is something for everyone. Food was good too just the waiting time to come in to the restaurant and the fact that you had to finish eating within less than an hour was annoying. But even though we would come back. We would love if the other restaurant which was not included in the half board meal option started opening from lunch time so customers could buy nice lunch inside the resort instead of looking somewhere else most of the days. There is food at the pool bar but not much choice.

I returned from here yesterday. Firstly the positives. -Portventura theme park is amazing. -dinner service staff there are some whi could not be more welcoming and helpful. - theme parks are close by and salou isn’t too far either. - the food is quite nice and kept stocked up well Negatives- - there is ZERO entertainment within the hotel - the amount of rules on the swimming pool is a joke, if you want to have fun, think again it’s not allowed. - it’s stupidly expensive, 2 waters and 2 fizzy drinks cost £17 - reception is crazy busy so even the smallest question is like hard work. - there was no kids club - staff are extremely rude and uninviting. - on arrival if you arrive early or leave late you aren’t given a room and then made to pay for a locker to store your things! And told so rudely too!!! Basically I will never be returning to this hotel, I may consider the area again though especially with the theme park my boys loved it so much!!

Estival Do Dorado Resort near Cambrils is a really great place to spend a holiday, the food is great, my partner loves how much choice he has, the staff are so friendly and helpful and it is just such a lovely space to holiday in. I have Coeliac Disease so have to fill a menu in for my meals and be careful with some drinks, but the staff are so understanding and helpful, the slightest crumb can make me ill so I have to be very careful of cross contamination too. On our first night there it wasn't too busy in the sports bar and Eddie, who was on the bar that evening, checked all the bottles for me and made me a couple of cocktails. It was so nice and such a change. I usually just stick to my gluten free Daura Damm lager or vodka and sprite, so that was a refreshing change and I felt very special and spoiled 😊. Ariana who is the young lady working on the sports bar most evenings was wonderful, so cheerful and funny, she had taught herself English really well since April, I was so impressed, and glad, as it made it easier for us with no Spanish 😉. We had some brilliant evenings sat at her bar 😁. Aaron who had started the year before, when we were there in June, was brilliant too, such a cheerful lad and a natural on the main bar, Eddie has taught him well!! 😉!! I must not forget the rest of the staff on the main bar either, all of them are just amazing, they never seem to stop, I love their energy and the way they make you feel so welcome 😍. Annabelle, who ran the adult pool bar previously and now works sometimes in the restaurant, is always so helpful and friendly, such a lovely Lady, it was great to see her again, and she remembered us💞. The young lady on the adults only pool bar now was lovely too!! We have stayed here 3 times now, which says it all. I see there are some poor reviews but some people are never happy and sometimes, in a large resort, there will be issues from time to time, but, from what we have experienced, the staff are all amazing!! They always try and do their best to help. Yes, it is lovely to have a great view, but to be fair, how long do you really want to spend in the room?! If you want night life and shops, they are a good walk away, one of the things we love about this hotel and the shop over the road is perfect, they have a bit of everything, and, from previous visits to other areas of Spain, their prices are pretty good!! Nearly forgot, mini golf, great fun!! 😊 Our room is already booked for next year!! 😊 Looking forward to seeing you all soon 😍😊

We visited in October 23 with my family and parents. We arrived quite late at night, and the first thing we noticed since we opted for the coach transfers is that it is quite far from the airport and pretty much the last hotel drop off! The entrance to the hotel is very nice and modern though please note you are not permitted to park outside, the cars need to be parked on the streets around. The receptionists seem reasonable, though a few occasions I was met with what seemed a fed up vibe as I requested for shower gel. The layout of the hotel room blocks are quite confusing when you first arrive, especially at night. It would be extremely helpful if the outside was better lit and had more sign posts. The rooms I cannot fault at all, very nice and spacious. The patio was slightly annoying in that it was constantly wet from the sprinklers and as ours was at the back we didn't get any sun and our swim wear was always slightly damp. Our party opted for the full board option. We were not aware that for lunch and dinner that even water was my included. The sign stuck next to the coffee machine indicated this was out of bounds for full board but there was nothing next to the water. When we were made aware the waitresses made a bit of a scene and the Worst of all was that from that day (day 2), we really struggled to receive any table service to order drinks! It seemed like there was a severe lack of staff and as a result 80% of our lunch and dinner meals we did not drink anything, which was horrendous. The food itself was quite good, a 7.5 out of 10. Onto the swimming facilities. There are I believe 3 swimming pools of which the kids water park one is outside the main hotel grounds. The sign post to this is not the clearest. Though it is a very nice water park for the kids so no complaints and the main swimming section is really nice. The gym is also well equipped for a hotel gym, though at times were overly crowded. The kids arcade room was seriously outdated and run down and was a huge let down, please do something about this. Cambrils- the town where this resort is is very small and quiet. There are not much shops there at all, so for a more lively and varied nightlife you will have to go to Tarragona or Salou. The hotel backs onto a very nice promenade ams beach which stretches I believe to Salou or further. We hired a big van which was our lifeline for keeping entertained as we like to travel and explore. Cannot comment on the hotel entertainment but the area where the main entertainment was is the outside bar area next to one of the pools where lots of folk smoke. Not the most pleasant. So much potential this place by needs a revamp in some places and more staff. 7.5 out of 10 for the hotel and for us the location was a 7 as it was very far out but at the same time very picturesque and peaceful with the beach and promenade being at the back.

Wonderful holiday. Positive points: Fab customer service Brilliant entertainment hosts.. love the aqua aerobics and juice making! 5 star customer service. Plenty of choice of food and always fabulous 👌 Reasonable priced drinks Really helpful receptionists Plenty of room near pool All areas of hotel immaculate Negative ish! Booked this hotel for a week away for me and my mum, booked twin room but made as a double with double sheets etc. Asked to have it changed to twins, sorted so not too much of a pain. Womens toilets in the lobby - one door doesn't lock and the other has a huge gap in it We had a early flight and as we were half board we asked for a bag of a couple of bits to take away.. after all this was paid for. Reception said to ask the eve before in the restaurant.. the restaurant staff said we would need to take bits that eve. Other customers were told the restaurant was open at 7am however Reception did not know about this.. clearly lack in communication. Easy to get the bus to Salou and Tarragona... recommend Tarragona, ramblers Road is full of shops and cafes lovely place to visit.

Great Hotel, Great location. Quite a cool vibe to this Hotel, modern with a laid back soundtrack over the speakers. Rooms very comfy, didn't pay more for our room but we had a sea/bay view (if you looked left!). Speaking of the beach, it was 30 seconds away and curved right around the bay. Buses were plentiful and we took one to Tarragona which was excellent, plenty to do. Walked into Salou taking the coastal path which had great views, as you'd expect. The path starts just downhill from the hotel. You can, though, get a bus. The team at the hotel were great but Cristian and Andrea were excellent. Didn't do the activities every day as we weren't all inclusive so went out and about, but the ones I did were great. Cristian was full of good tips and info on the history, economy and ecology of the region, a true embassador for the hotel and catalonia.

The Salou Beach is a beautiful 4-star hotel, close to the beach and the very animated centre of Salou, with numerous restaurants and shops, and a very beautiful walk from the dale, decorated with large trees and flowers, along the beach. The hotel is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility and accepts animals, with a small amount (€12). The rooms are very pleasant, with a really comfortable bed, a set and a private terrace with a table and chairs (it is better to ask for a room giving on the pool, it is quieter). The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable. The staff is charming and the reception is very warm. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable, and it is very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel is very convenient for those who want to make the PortAventura attraction park. In conclusion, we strongly recommend this hotel!

We stayed here at the end of our holiday as the apartments we were in for most of the week closed down mid October. First impressions were good, the lobby and pool area look great. There is a board with kids activities on throughout the day. The luggage storage facilities were very handy as we arrived before our room was ready and checked out with most of the day before our flight. Pool is a good size and clean, although I can see that this would get very busy in the summer. Rooms are pretty standard, they look quite dated and if the sofa bed was out, there would be no room to get past to the balcony. Toiletries are provided. Shower temperature wasn't great, it didn't heat up well at night although it was better in the morning. There is no lock on the bathroom door which isn't great when you have teenage kids. The rules in the hotel are quite off putting. Cards in the room stating rules such as no smoking on the balcony, no leaving the tap on while you brush your teeth, no using the toilet as an ashtray etc etc. We were sat on the balcony at about half 11 when all the outside lights on the balconies went off. Must have been our bedtime. One redeeming feature was the food. There was a really good selection at dinner time, and it was all very nice. They also have a free water machine which makes a nice change, but the drinks are overpriced so free water was much needed. The waiter who led us to our table was very friendly and helpful but some of the other waiting staff looked very miserable, borderline rude. Breakfast unfortunately wasn't so nice, the selection wasn't as good and the only juice options were orange and pineapple (no apple!). They do have a ”diet” section with low fat/low cholesterol items. Overall it's not a bad hotel but I expected better from a 4 star hotel. I wouldn't return only because I think there are better value hotels and apartments in Salou.

I don't even know where to start this review. all ”no way”. the fact that this is a 4 star hotel is out of the question! booked a suite. the room size is tiny as usual standard in a 4 star hotel. the woman who cleans the rooms constantly pounded on the door and demanded that we leave, as she does not have time to wait for us to leave, as she needs to leave🤦‍♀️ as a result, the room was not cleaned even once in 3 days. the pool is small, it smells strange and there are 2 sun loungers😂😂😂 there is not a single soul in the pool area. the hotel is positioned as a gastronome. breakfast is generally some kind of horror, photos are attached. there is no choice at all. 3-4 plates of an incomprehensible dish and that's it! before that we stayed at the Blaumar hotel, did not like it very much, friends advised me to try this one - the Blaumar result was very good 😂😂😂. of the pros: reception staff respond quickly, ready to help, close to the embankment, convenient parking

We have been staying at this hotel for almost 8 years now. The pool area is beautiful and the location is ideal for us. The staff are fantastic, we always get such a lovely welcome whenever we arrive. We arrived at the hotel one week after they re-opened for the season and were very surprised to find out how busy they already were. I have never seen such queues for the restaurant in all my years. They have started a new policy of personally seating everyone before returning to assist the next people in the queue, this has definitely had an affect on the growing queue system. I think they either need to add more seating in the restaurant to deal with the volume of people or extend the breakfast and dinner times, which may reduce the queue issue. If it's this busy in My, I dread to think what it will be like in July! The food was just okay, definitely not worth the 30 minute wait to get into the restaurant, and then further queues for the grilling and omelette station when you get in there! They have stopped doing the fresh orange juice, the speciality (themed) section and the food truck which is disappointing (this might have something to do with it being low season). When I was there in October, there were quite a few things broken, tiles, bathroom doors etc which is expected after a busy season but I was surprised to see that these things were still not fixed while they were closed. There have been a lot of staff changes throughout they years, it's always sad to see some of your favourite staff leave but its great to meet the new staff too. We found out that a lot of last years animation team like Dani, Arian and Julio were moved to their sister hotel across the road so we did sneak over there a few times to say hi. The hotel itself is a great and it is fantastic value for money but it's just not what it used to be. It certainly has the potential to be the number 1 family hotel in Salou again but the rooms need to be upgraded, improve the layout of the restaurant and add more tables, they should bring back the themed nights in the restaurant, bring back the special treat stall outside the restaurant when you are leaving (popcorn/candyfloss, sweets, chocolate fountain etc). It's the little extras that can make a nice stay a fantastic one.

Clean hotel, a bit old but it fulfills the functions I needed. I went to Port Aventura and it was close by, and much cheaper than those in Salou.

My husband and I had a week away from Barcelona staying at this adults only hotel. The reception staff were all friendly but especially Bea who was extremely helpful with things to go and see whilst we were here as the weather was not the best. Rooms were really nice, clean and tidy, with comfortable beds, but the pillows not so comfy. Could have done with a table on the balcony too. Breakfast was a good choice with the option to order freshly cooked too and the staff were friendly and kept the place ticking over nicely. The spa was a bit of a disappointment as it only has steam room and sauna and a jacuzzi for 8 people, so we only used once and the games room was not available durin the week due to conference. Fortunately we had our own cards and dominoes. Overall a good visit to Salou, where we visited Cambrils, Tarragona, Reus and Sama Park out of tourist season. I am sure it would be buzzing come Easter onwards. Thanks to the Magnolia Team for the great overall service.

I have stayed here before so I knew it was okay - I always choose wisely away from the main tourist area of Carlos Buïgas This hotel is located on the main road of Salou ; Passeig de Jaume 1 and opposite the beach. Upon arrival we could see the hotel had been refurbished. Our room was not ready so we left our cases and heads out for a walk. On return we went to our room and we were very pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the room. It was a junior suite style room The balcony was side view and looked over the pretty houses of Salou whilst to my right I could see the street of Calle Mayor and to the left I could see the sea. The only downside were the deckchair style chairs I could not use due to my bad back. Very comfortable bed and really lovely bathroom- brilliantly large shower. I booked room only but took breakfast and paid on site €12 euros per person and very good quality breakfast All in all u had a lovely stay and would return to stay in the Blsimar again

We had heard great things about this hotel before we came with my wife, two children 6 & 15 years old (the eldest one has special needs) and my parents. We have never experienced a better hotel in all our years of going on holiday. From arrival to leaving it was simply brilliant. The location is great and less than 10 mins in a taxi to the theme parks and shopping centres. The beach is about 5 mins walk. The room we selected was a family suite with pool view which was very big with a large wrap around balcony and was perfect for us. The food was excellent with a huge variety every day. The kids club and the hotel animation team were absolutely fantastic and put on loads of activities everyday and there were great entertainment acts on each night. The highlight for us though were all the staff who took great time with our children especially our eldest son and the two kids loved every minute of it. We will be coming back in a few months and we cannot recommend this hotel any higher

I stayed at the Sol Costa Daurada for four nights at the end of April 2024 with my wife and son. The hotel is very close to Port Aventura theme park and the train station. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff at the reception who spoke English well. Our room was not ready when we arrived however we did arrive before 2pm so it was to be expected. When we did get in to our room it was clean and of a standard size. We had a mini fridge to keep our drinks cool and a fairly spacious bathroom. As mentioned in other reviews the noise from neighbouring rooms could be quite noisy and we could hear the television blaring from next door rooms. The hotel has a decent sized outdoor swimming pool that wasn't too busy during our stay as the water was pretty cold. There is a bar at the pool where you can buy drinks and snacks and the staff there were really good fun. There is an indoor pool but the opening times appear to be restricted and you must wear a swimming cap when using this pool. The main hotel restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner was clean and spacious with views looking over the pool. The food on offer was good and there were plenty of options each night. A special mention to Rosi who works at the restaurant entrance who was lovely and even managed to find a table for us when we arrived slightly late for dinner due to a delayed train from Barcelona. Thank you Rosi! We travelled in to Salou town a few times and it was around a 15 minute walk from the hotel, the train station nearby is a 10 minute walk and we used this line to travel to Barcelona for the day. The main reason we stayed in this hotel was it proximity to Port Aventura theme park which we visited twice during our stay. It was around 10 minutes from Hotel to park entrance and was easy to walk. The hotel seems to be popular with school trips from France and Spain and there were a few large groups in the hotel during our stay however I found them to be polite and courteous. In summary this was an ideal location for a short family break in Salou and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

In general the hotel was nice, we arrived and it was quiet. We visited the spa which was nice and the hotel is in a great location (about a 5 minute walk from the beach front) and 25 minutes from the theme park. Food- the food in the restaurant was decent but quite repetitive. However, having said that there was always something to eat. The only downside here at the restaurant was the waiters took a long time to ask us what drinks we wanted, sometimes we would be half way through before being approached. Also, there should be a snack bar by the pool which is open to all inclusive guests however this wasn’t open at all during our stay which was disappointing as we liked to go for walks, so if we missed lunch we had to wait until 7.30 for dinner. Bar - the two male servers were brilliant. Very attentive, friendly and quick. There is a good selection of local spirits however, I was on the all inclusive and when I asked there was only one cocktail available plus sangria, there are more available but you have to pay. The only downside was I had an issue which I raised with reception who maybe through a language barrier didn’t really acknowledge. I have been here before, 8 years ago and the hotel itself has drastically improved. It does feel very spa like with the music and decor. The only issue we had was on our last night there must have been a late arrival and we could hear everything in the corridor and above which meant we couldn’t sleep until 4pm.

On Oct 22th, 2023 we were supposed to check in at the Best Da Vinci hotel. Having a free cancellation till 20.10, we wrote to the e-mail in advance about geting a room on the top floor. However, there was no response. At the time of check-in we were offered a room on the 3rd floor out of 6, we asked for a higher floor. We were told that they would try to help us, then we would have to wait. When we came to the reception after 1.5 hours, another employee said that there were no rooms on the 6th floor, come back on Tuesday (24.10). After about 20 minutes we decided to come to the reception, by that time the first employee already came back. They said that since the hotel closes its season on 28.10, rooms on the upper floors won't be available (although people continued to live on the upper floors till closing date 28.10), also they said that our room category was a standard room, not a studio and here are no standard rooms above the 3rd floor. We could pay extra for the room on higher floor, but it was suggested by SENIOR RECEPTIONIST in a rude manner to take the room on the 3rd floor and be satisfied with that. Disappointed we left, but the next day we decided to try our luck again because we saw people on the upper floors getting checked in. On 23.10 having approached to another employee, she answered that the change of rooms is carried out from 12 to 15 and left to specify something. Having returned back with a SENIOR employee, who was dissatisfied that we came again loudly saying ”AGAIN???”, she repeated that the number above the 3rd floor won't be given and if you DO NOT like something, PACK YOUR BAGS AND LEAVE FOR EXAMPLE TO THE NEIGHBOURING MAGNOLIA HOTEL. At the same time we were ready to pay extra just to get a room on the top floor, but nothing was not offered to us, but simply sent us away. For the first time in all our travels we were shocked by the rudeness of front desk employees, absolutely not interested (especially the SENIOR receptionist). Money doesn't matter, you can't pay and take what you want, you need to live in the room dedicated to you. In addition, we got the impressed that they do not speak English well and are more kind to Spanish-speakers. About the room itself, it's nice. But if you got a room in the main building, then be prepared that in rooms where the beds are near the window overlooking the yard, will be very noisy in the morning, because you can hear the slamming doors from ALL sides and from ALL floors. Pros: nice studios, good housekeeping, good food. Cons: rudeness and unprofessionalism of the SENIOR receptionist, noise in rooms because of poor noise insulation, no towels for the beach available.
