The Kailai Hotel has very friendly service, and the front desk staff are welcoming. The hotel's location is prominent with a large sign, so you can spot it from far away. The only downside is that the area is a bit out of the way. However, there's a bus stop right across the road that goes to the city center, which is quite convenient. There's also a large supermarket nearby.

Check in was good with a very friendly and informative front desk Concierge. Our room was tidy and neat but it did not have a view of the Story Bridge as stated in our booking. So we went down to the front desk who quickly upgraded our booking to the next floor up with a bigger room and the most fantastic view of the Story Bridge from the lounge and bedroom. The hotel is situated walking distance to the Botanical Gardens, Southbank and City. We had breakfast supplied in our booking but the restaurant was only for take away so we had a voucher to spend on coffee and cabinet food which was OK. I Would recommend staying at Oakwood but make sure your room has a view of the bridge...Its totally worth the experience.

The service was great – we arrived early, and they let us check in ahead of time since a room was available. The room was spacious and clean, and I was very happy with everything, including the bedding and bathroom amenities. It wasn't noisy at night, so I slept well, and the breakfast was decent. This price was much better than what I found on several international platforms. I would definitely stay here again.

My Worst Experience at a W Hotel to Date I have stayed at various W properties, but my recent one-night stay at W Brisbane was easily my most disappointing experience with the brand. For a hotel that prides itself on design and luxury, the functional execution of the room was severely lacking. There were several significant issues that made for a very uncomfortable night: Poor Room Design: The air conditioning is positioned in a way that it blew directly onto my face all night. It was impossible to deflect, and I had to sleep on the other end of the bed. Then I had another issue below. Disruptive Noise: The in-room refrigerator was close the the bed and making distracting noises throughout the night that made it difficult to sleep. Between the mechanical noise and the poorly placed AC, I barely got any rest. Maintenance & Cleanliness: after I woke up in the morning, I was shocked to find a visible hole in the bed sheets. This is not the level of quality control one expects from a five-star establishment. And the bath tub has visible torn and wears. Also the motel level toothbrush. Service: there was no staff at the door helped me and my 70 yo mom with our luggages. I hvae to acknowledge that we arrived quite late but I did expect quality service from a lux hotel. And also no free upgrade offered like my stays with other W. Honestly, I am just glad my stay was only for one night. I expected much better from the W brand and won't be rushing back to this particular location.

We booked to stay for 4 nights with breakfast. There was one morning where my husband and l decided to eat the breakfast at different timing. I ate earlier alone because I've to attend a conference meeting. My husband was not allow to enter the breakfast area by one of the staff citing that our breakfast had been consumed. The staff even demanded to charge additional breakfast cost to our room. At the end, my husband gave up and decided not to eat the hotel breakfast. A disappointing experience.

The room was pretty standard, felt more like a business hotel than a typical Hyatt. They only provided two complimentary bottles of mineral water. Parking was a nightmare for self-drivers; the car park was incredibly hard to find, located on a tiny street off the main pedestrian area. Breakfast was AUD 45 for one day, but if you booked it for three consecutive nights or more, it was AUD 35 per meal. The food was decent. The biggest advantage was definitely the excellent location, making it easy to walk everywhere. From the room, you could see a landmark building. Oh, and the 'king bed' was actually just two twin beds pushed together.

I am amazed by this place-YHA Brisbane city-I chose an all girls room and it was amazing, with lockers, clean and money well spent! Location is within walking distance from the Roma station, Roma street park, Victoria bridge, South bank, CBD, walking street, even the Brisbane Botanic Garden and the old parliament house! After checking out you can leave your bag within the day and still use some amenities! I was truly amazed with that and the staff are superb! Will book YHA in other cities as well! Thanks YHA for making my Brisbane trip extra special!

First of all, I'd like to thank Trip.com for their proactive follow-up and feedback. This hotel really isn't suitable; the actual room condition is poor and too old, not matching the photos online. We waited almost twenty minutes to check in because the front desk staff kept chatting with a guest. That guest was also strange, as their card had insufficient funds and the hotel doesn't accept cash, so they just kept talking... After we checked in, we found that the living room and two of our rooms were right next to a building under construction, really close by. Then, on the other side, they were digging a foundation. We requested a room change. The new room was at least not next to a construction site, but the foundation digging started before 7 AM every morning. Let's talk about parking next. You won't figure it out without spending some time on it. No matter how much the front desk explains, you won't get it right the first time. The cost is also expensive at $45 a day. You first drive into the adjacent Apollo parking lot, go down to levels 5-8, and find their hotel's marked parking spots. Many of them are occupied, and you can't just park anywhere, or you'll get towed. Once you find a spot, you take one elevator, go down to P8, then get out and take another guest elevator to your floor. Every time you want to get your car, it involves two elevators and a maze-like search for your vehicle. Anyway, it's not easy. Finally, when we booked the room, we mentioned we had a child and needed a quiet room. They received the information, but still gave us such a noisy room, which I don't quite understand. After we checked in... we found there was no internet. The hotel staff said the service provider was doing maintenance and didn't know when it would be fixed. Luckily, it was working the next day.

Capri hotel ticked all the boxes for me & Mom. Mom has just undergone a spinal surgery so the bed, close access to the lift, hotel location, kitchenette, amenities and staff friendliness made our short trip super enjoyable and easy despite of the drizzling weather. Super close to the Queen’s Plaza, Star Casino (and the sky deck), close to St Stephen Cathedral and Mom can even walk to the Brisbane Eye in Southbank. No staff that not helpful and smiley. Environment: Located in Brisbane city center, King George Square is just across the street, and the pedestrian street is a bit further. It's about a 400-meter walk to Brisbane Central Station, and two blocks to the Queen Street Bus Station (it's underground, so you need to take stairs). Cleanliness: It was relatively clean, but the carpet was a bit dusty. Facilities: The elevators are a bit old but mostly functional. All the room's appliances work, and the central air conditioning is powerful.

Brisbane Airport is located by the sea, and it's a 30-minute light rail ride from the city center. The city center itself is built along the Brisbane River. It's not a huge city but quite beautiful. The Stamford Hotel is situated at the tip of a peninsula, right next to the City Botanic Gardens, and about a 700-800 meter walk from the central train station. Most of the main attractions are along the river, making it very convenient for sightseeing. I'd say its location is probably the best. The hotel also maintains high standards, falling somewhere between a Hilton and a Conrad in terms of luxury.
