About this space
Our home is a Victorian farmhouse on 7 acres in an apple orchard with a redwood grove, a pond, and barns. The main house, built in 1910 and remodeled in 1996, is surrounded by an English garden and is on a quiet country lane. The upstairs is a lovely private suite with a private entrance. We book to only one party at a time (read full description) and the home is fully air conditioned. I am a professional artist and Al is an author of children's books. Come visit our little piece of heaven!
The space
The entire upstairs is a private suite with a private entrance. One or both large bedrooms and a full bathroom are available. We host only ONE party at a time. Children under 5 are free. Each bedroom is quite spacious and there is a separate sitting area with a mini frig, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, microwave and a small kitchen table for eating or using as a desk space.
We provide a welcome basket your first morning to get you started and sometimes apples from our trees when in season! Coffee, tea, and juice are available all day long. Our laundry area and an ironing board are available if you should need them and there is a bathtub downstairs.
Also, for your information, our home and property are also available for weddings (ceremony only). Please inquire for pricing.

"The Hollies" is named for a holly tree in our front yard. We love the branches at Christmastime! You can walk the seven acre property, the quiet country lane, and visit our redwood grove. There are several areas for a picnic, including a lovely grape arbor. Our pond is not fenced so care with children is advised and there is no barn access without the host. There are also many other lovely places to walk and children love to see the occasional deer or the cows in the pasture nearby. Relax on the porch in the evening and on a clear night there are so many stars! City dwellers love it here!

This property was at one time a working farm so please be careful on walks.

Air conditioner only worked properly 1 of the 3 nights of our stay. On our 1st night we had Facilities check or ac around 7 pm & 4 am. We were told they were having trouble with one of the chillers. We changed rooms after the first night of sweating. But the ac wasn’t much better. Hotel mgt. provided a box fan for our room. That helped! The 2nd night was comfortable. The room is very good, the hotel environment is very good, and the service is very attentive. If the charges are unclear, you will be charged more or less. This is an old hotel with rich cultural background, all the staff are very friendly, the room service is timely and in place, the bedding and mattress are very comfortable, the breakfast is not to mention, the weekend menu will be replaced with the brunch menu. All the above advantages allow me to tolerate the only disadvantage of zero view from the window. Stayed for 4 days and overall I am very satisfied.
First of all, the location is very close to the San Diego Convention and Exhibition Center next to it. You can also go directly to the Convention and Exhibition Center from the first floor, which takes 7 minutes;
The second is the environment, with sea view, there are two swimming pools on the first floor; from the first floor, it is about two kilometers of citywalk, and you can walk along the seaside to the Victory Kiss sign check-in place
The hotel's sanitation/facilities and services are quite good, and there is a Chinese-speaking front desk reception.
The only downside: the price is expensiveBusiness travel

Great views and comfort, but watch out for extra charges!
I recently stayed at the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina. While the hotel itself is very nice, I encountered an issue that significantly impacted my experience.
Despite having booked and fully prepaid my stay through Trip.com, the hotel attempted to charge me an additional $45 per day plus tax for the so-called ”Destination Fee” at check-in. After contacting the hotel, they refunded the fee after multiple letters and two weeks.
This seems to reflect a policy of charging the Destination Fee by default, regardless of whether it has already been prepaid through third-party booking platforms. I worry that many guests either don't notice the charge or aren't aware that it may already be included in their booking.
That being said, breakfast at the hotel was delicious and the facilities are generally high-quality. If the billing issue hadn't occurred, my stay would have been much more enjoyable.
Overall, it's a lovely hotel in a great location—but guests should carefully check their bill and be prepared to follow up if something doesn't add up!From€270

The location is a bit out of the way; it takes over 15 minutes to drive to any attractions, and there's not much at the nearby mall.
Parking costs $40 a night.
The mattress was uncomfortable, sagging in the middle with the foot end higher than the head end. The water pressure at the sink was very low.
Breakfast was $27, and with tax and tip, it came to nearly $34 per person. There wasn't much variety: two types of eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, and mostly carbs, with no vegetables. There were some fruits and yogurt, though. The staff were very good, offering to pack drinks to go, like iced lemonade, coffee, or tea.From€152

This is my second time staying here. I booked a regular room last time, but this time I booked a house next to the bay. It is really great, with pleasant scenery. I took my children to feed the seagulls as soon as I opened my eyes in the morning. The service staff in the entire park are very friendly and will chat with you with a smile. There are five swimming pools in the park. We went to the largest one. The children swam while the adults sat next to them to bask in the sun and order food. It was very comfortable. I will bring an electric scooter next time. It must be fun to visit the park! If there are any shortcomings, the facilities are relatively old and the air conditioner is very noisy. Checked in at 12 noon, the environment is really first-class. The front desk upgraded my room type. Although it was booked by Ctrip, this is a good comment.
Facilities: First-class. The best Hilton facilities this time. You can watch the sunset downstairs, right by the sea.
Hygiene: Clean and hygienic. The hotel is relatively new.
Environment: Beautiful. The hotel is mainly for conferences and business.
