I stayed at Villa Carlotta for 4 nights at the end of September, the hotel was fully booked but I got the last Junior suite available. If anyone is coming from Catania , the bus is actually the most affordable way, only 5 euros and conveniently there is a bus stop right outside the hotel, literally! Also the airport bus goes direct, so do that if you want to save 100 euros in cab fare 😊. The moment I arrived for checkout Aji greeted me and checked me in swiftly , took my bags and offered me a nice welcoming drink at their rooftop restaurant. Aji was an amazing staff member, he looked after me and gave me so much useful advice, booked all my restaurants & beach access (highly recommend visiting the Belmond Santandrea beach if you can it is well worth it), and overall one of the nicest person you would come across, can’t say enough good things about him! Also the young lady on the front desk was a delight to speak to, she managed the social media and was such a kind person, always taking time to chat with me and keep me informed, a real pleasure to interact with! Now for the actual room, it was spacious with spectacular views over the sea and it even had two balconies, it got the most beautiful sunrise views I have seen in quite some time (attached in the pics to this review). The room was large with a nice long sofa looking out onto the sea and it had a classic modern feel, with a comfortable well equipped bathroom, and I had a great peaceful sleep there. For me the best part of the hotel was the roof top bar and restaurant , it was stunning, very chic and the views are unparalleled, I don’t think it can get much better. The breakfast was so delicious there every morning and never felt crowded , the mini cannoli’s are to die for! The service staff there were so friendly and warm, smiling always and genuinely happy to help you, you could see they loved working there, which is rare! The property had lovely gardens with beautiful flowers and plants everywhere, and a pool which was refreshing but I didn’t use it much as I was out and about most of the time. The proximity to the main town center is great, just 10 mins walk to the hotel which keeps things quiet, yet very accessible. If you are looking for a top notch boutique hotel experience with impeccable service then I would highly recommend staying here, can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel Villa Carlotta for a week in September for my birthday. The staff and hotel were absolutely phenomenal. The Staff at this hotel is unlike any experience we have had ay any other hotel. They are all so friendly and really make you feel at home. We were all on a first name basis, they were all so attentive and would offer us anything we needed throughout our stay. They helped us book car services at the last minute to other towns, the beaches etc. My husband unfortunately got sick one night they offered to bring him special soup. On the morning of my birthday during breakfast at the restaurant they even brought me out a small piece of cake and everyone sang to me, it was beautiful. Everyone working there was genuinely wonderful. Special thank you to Alberto and Luigi! As for the Hotel and our room, also exceptional. The hotel was stunning and perfectly clean. The decor of the hotel is so unique and transports you someplace else. We stayed in the JR seaview room with 2 small balcony's and it was perfect. we had a beautiful ocean view. The rooftop restaurant is i think the best restaurant in all of Taormina. The staff and service are so attentive and the food is one of a kind. It was so delicious and the wine selection was perfect. Other amenities at the hotel such as the pool and cabanas are quiet and serene. we spent an afternoon out there just relaxing and reading. Overall, this is the only hotel t in Taormina i would stay at. I truly cannot wait to get back to this hotel and staff hopefully sometime VERY soon. It was the best experience I have had traveling in a very long time. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our trip so special and a once in a lifetime experience.
