The onsen hotel is near Tobu World Square station. The staff were incredibly helpful. I went to the wrong building, but they walked me to the correct one. I left my backpack there before check-in time, and when I returned in the evening, it was still in my room. The room was very spacious. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. The staff even offered to take photos for me. The hotel has a beautiful view.

This is an amazing hotel. You can take a bus from Kinugawa Station to get there. Both the food and the hot springs are worth a visit. The decorations in the hotel are not imitations made for tourists, but modern antiques. I would go to this hotel again for vacation.

It was cheap so I didn't have high expectations, but it was better than I imagined!! The atmosphere inside the hotel is nice and the food, while not luxurious, is good enough for fans of Japanese food. I'd like to come back and stay again during the autumn foliage season.

Well, it’s the Ritz Carlton, so expect the price and expect the proportional experience! Staff was super attentive from the moment I got on the shuttle bus to the moment I step off the bus going back to Tokyo. My Rooms was impressively spacious and impeccably appointed. I just havs breakfast once during my two nights stay, it was professionally prepared and it was priced accordingly ( very high end😂！）I decided to go on a diet so I can go back to eat in Tokyo, all joking aside, it was a great soul healing and spirit rejuvenating journey to visit Nikko😆😆😆Great93 Reviews

All the staffs are professional, very service oriented and special mention to the room service is super super prompt! Room amenities are luxurious! Bed and blanket is so fluffy! Breakfast portion is huge and fresh. We were able to use the shuttle service for check in and out, only got a cab at the Nikko train station when we return late at around 7pm.Business travel

The room size is comparable to typical business hotels in Japan, which was quite comfortable. There's a public bath on the first floor. Although breakfast isn't included, you can add 700 yen for a buffet breakfast, which was delicious and a much better option than eating out. The owner was also very welcoming. Even though the front desk was unstaffed between 10 AM and check-in time, there are four paid lockers outside the hotel for luggage storage. What's particularly convenient is its proximity to the station, just about a 4-minute walk, and it's also not far from the only supermarket near the station.Great156 Reviews

Each of my 3 days here I’d in Nikko I’d return to NSHC after a big day exploring and appreciate what a great place. Excellent centrally convenient to both stations (when arriving/departing and the bus stops to various regions), clean, warm, quiet, friendly, efficient, hot onsen (in & outdoors), spacious and pleasing facilities, good value & abundant breakfast which is discounted weekdays to 1500 yen (though don’t think of getting a sandwich or fruit past the hawkeye ladies attending. It’s a place that everything has been thought of and runs well. And a very secure luggage storage system if you arrive before 3pm check-in to let easily you visit the amazing World Heritage Areas by bus. Highly recommended.Great46 Reviews

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the view was great. The free cocktail and coffee services in the lobby were nice, as well as the free drink bar (including one beer per person) near the entrance to the hot spring. The paid massage service was also good. The meals were decent, especially the grilled beef, which simply melted in my mouth. The restaurant staff welcomed us warmly and provided friendly service.
Cons: The variety of hot springs was lacking, and the view from the hot springs was almost blocked, which was disappointing. The lockers for valuables used combination dials, and foreign guests often didn’t know how to use them, locking their room keys inside and struggling to reopen them. This was a major inconvenience. They should switch to a key-and-wristband system like other onsen hotels.
The room itself felt like an old, once-grand mansion that had seen better days. The furniture had many scratches, and the surfaces were worn and peeling. It made me think it must have been impressive in the past. Still, the room was definitely more spacious compared to other hotels.Amazing46 Reviews

The hotel is great! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with many facilities like karaoke, a game center, and more. I visited with my family, a total of 14 people, and they were able to arrange a private room for us for both dinner and breakfast. Both meals were buffet-style and absolutely delicious.
The onsen experience was wonderful, and the view from the onsen was fantastic, with a beautiful view of the Kinugawa River.
However, there was one issue: when we checked in, the reception took our passports for photocopying. Unfortunately, they missed returning one of the passports to us. It wasn’t until after we checked out and reached our next stop that we realized one passport was missing. We had to go back to the hotel to take it.
Despite this, the overall experience was great, and I would still recommend the hotel.51 Reviews

I personally didn't like that the bathing hours were fixed from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
It doesn't seem suitable for use during the New Year's holiday period, at least.
There aren't any notable tourist attractions nearby, so it would be difficult to kill time.
The Wi-Fi was appreciated, though.
Also, the guest rooms and the large public bath are on the second floor, but the common area had a strange smell—I'm not sure if it was sulfur or something else—so even though there was a Japanese-style room in the common area where you could wait freely, it wasn't very practical.
