In short, it is a beautiful hotel. Whether it is the public area, the room or the view, it is very delicately considered. Although the breakfast is a set, it is very rich, especially the in-room dining experience is very good. I like the bar very much. There are many cocktail choices and they are also very creative. The yuzu ramen is a must-try. The marketing packaging is also very good! The location is also good, and the attractions are within walking distance. The maple leaf season is amazing! The service is quite good, and English communication is barrier-free. They can remember us after three days. The hot spring is also good, and it also comes with a sauna, which is very helpful for relaxation. There is nothing wrong with it except the price.

Although the price is not cheap, the hotel staff's service is kind, thoughtful and considerate, making you feel at home. The hot spring in Dazhongchi is very comfortable. It would be more perfect if the room could also be a hot spring.

A group of six people traveled independently. The hotel is generally good. The room is relatively large. It is relatively quiet after dark. There is a supermarket nearby for shopping, but you must pay attention to the business hours. Point deduction items: There are flies in the room, there are dead insects in the garden, it takes 10 to 20 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. It is recommended to drive by car
- MomenNG
I spent it with four friends. The room was large, clean and tidy, and it was very good.

My first time visit to Japan and I was after an authentic Japanese accommodation. I booked a Japanese Style room with futon beds which were very comfortable. The room was beautiful and very clean. My booking also included breakfast and dinner which were always outstanding, beautifully prepared and unique food items. They utilized farm to table dining and the women explained each item served. They provided and encouraged one to wear Kimonos’s /tabi socks / slippers during one’s stay at, “ Nikko Iwaiyado Juyan “. Which further contributed to the authentic Japanese vibe. Indoor and outdoor hot tubs were amazing. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. The hotel is nestled within mountains and the setting serene. Hotel is family owned and they take pride in caring for their guests.

Been visiting family in Tokyo for 6 weeks and finished our holiday with 2 night stay in Nikko. What a wonderful place to end our time in Japan. Hotel beautiful, service impeccable, food delicious and two perfect old fashion and sidewinder cocktails mixed in the cosy bar. Look forward to hopefully returning next year .

I was able to stay in a historical building. I was surprised to hear that the original two-story building had been dug underground to create a third floor. I was able to spend some quiet time enjoying the locally produced food.

It's a walk-and-go trip! Traveling in Tokyo, the weekend is just fine, friends recommend daylight, Xiao Mou book recommends daylight shelter garden hotel, book the next night hotel, buy a ticket, and leave Nikko early in the morning! Travel is full of challenges and surprises, and the others do not say that this hotel is really satisfying! Tobu Nikko Station, take a taxi for about ten minutes, 1600 yen (about 80 yuan) can be reached, you can also pick up the car at the hotel one day in advance; It was 11:30 to the hotel, and I could check in at 3 pm. It didn't matter. I left the suitcase directly and let the taxi driver who had not left me sent me to the World Heritage Dongzhao Palace. Walked for more than four hours, returned to the hotel, there was a welcome drink, went upstairs to rest, was shocked by the beauty of the room, see the picture for details! Thanks to Trip.com friends, I highly recommend breakfast and dinner. It turns out that I spent more than 300 yuan, and I added a double breakfast and double dinner. It was like not having money to eat Michelin, and I was moved to cry! ! Although I have one person. But even if it is 300 yuan for a dinner, it is definitely worth it! The hotel designer was also there that day, and I had a good chat. He was a gentleman who liked classic music and was romantic in his heart. He also personally designed the butterfly 🦋 composed of leaves 🍂🍃 as a menu cover, hand-painted the text on the plate, and he was talented! The rafts sold in the hotel lobby are also beautiful. It is said that it was made by a famous craftsman. I bought a pair. Although I may not wear them, I can be used as art collection. Breakfast time is very early, because I checked out at 10 o'clock, I chose the latest 8:30am, I tried to get up, and then I was surprised by breakfast, friends. Be sure to set breakfast and dinner, at this price outside, you can eat a steak for dinner 😂 After checking out, go to Dongwu Station by shuttle bus. After entering the platform to store large luggage, take the Express Bus to Zhongchan Temple to see the waterfall and swim the lake. I feel that I will stay for two more days next time! This trip is perfect, Shelter Garden, see u next time!

The hotel is hidden in the mountains and a 10-minute drive from Nikko Station. The lobby and restaurant are designed with artistic features, and the photos are very good. The viewing platform can overlook the mountains and waterfalls. The white waterfall can be seen in the green eyes. The maple leaf season will be more beautiful! Breakfast and dinner can be made according to your itinerary, reservation meal time, breakfast is quite satisfactory (Figure 3). The most amazing is Western dinner, the environment is comfortable, the ingredients are fresh, the production is meticulous, the plate is beautiful, and the Michelin restaurant is comparable. This meal is worth half of the price, which is an unexpected surprise on this trip!

The hotel service is very good. Excellent service There are tea and coffee drinks to drink until 22:30 and late-night meals, namely ramen, until 22:30 as well. Next time, I will definitely come back to use the service.

The hotel is located next to the bus station. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The special fireside dinner is delicious. There are free ramen late night snacks and a self-service drink area. The large bath and open-air bath are large enough and the water temperature is hot enough.

The room was spacious and well-equipped, so overall it was a good stay. Facilities: Even though I only stayed one night, I was able to use the washing machine and detergent was provided, which was helpful. Location: It is far from the station, so it may be inconvenient for those using the train. Parking: Although there were advance instructions on how to use the parking lot, there were some parts that were difficult to understand, and I had a bit of trouble when I arrived at the hotel. Check-in: I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but I followed the advance instructions and had no problems. Other: I was bothered by the noise, probably from the children running around in the room next door. There were noise guidelines posted in the room, so as long as you follow the rules, I don't think there will be any problems.

The facility is more likely an apartment . A big space for family traveler- We are family of 4. Our rooms have a onsen bath which is very good. Room was equipped with all necessary cookware. It is good for preparing breakfast. Also very clean! Location is good in case of travelling by car otherwise it’s quite far from Nikko train station. 1 minute walk to 7-11 and 5 minutes drive to big supermarket where you can find everything. Check in process is OK and convenient but you have to read instructions email very carefully, hotel will sent to guest 1 day! prior to check in date.

A premium hotel & hotspring in kinugagawa onsen, this hotel also is famous all over japan, because of superb hotspring creation made by a big rock, very new & romantic interior design especially in the lobby,w/ an luxurios chandelier, the outside view is amazing, the famous fureai bridge in kinugawa & river is in the front ,very nice autumn view outside, the room is big,but don't have a telephone & dresser, the food is superb but if you want to drink alcohol, you need to reserve from the front desk during check-in.Intagramable view inside & outside, but don't go here by walking with baggage because of the high stairs in fureai bridge, there's a shuttle bus but you need to pay 300yen.Overall,you can feel the scenic views even you don't go outside,Thanks always Trip.com for very nice booking, more power & God bless always

It was a trip I took with my wife. The facilities were really good. The rooms and the lobby were both spacious and convenient. The drinks (including beer and wine) that you can drink for free in the lobby were also really good. The hot springs were also very comfortable and the water quality was good. It was a really nice hotel with modern decor. However, the dinner buffet was a little disappointing. There were a lot of different kinds of food, but the taste was a little lacking and the kick was lacking... The breakfast buffet was good. I was able to enjoy a variety of things.

Overall is good in terms of food/facilities/services. Yumoto onsen bus stop is only 3mins walk away from hotel. The tatami room I stayed is spacious..just that it got smell which I believe it is due to lack of ventilation. Feel ok after i spray some air freshener.

The restaurant overlooking the garden had a nice atmosphere. Dinner was a full course French meal served by foreign staff, so it had an exotic feel and a more authentic feel. The hot springs and rooms are old facilities, so I was wondering what other people's reviews were, but it turned out to be fine.

Except for the excellent location (nearest to Tobu-Nikko Station and the buses stops to various locations and places of interest, the hotel is badly in need of upgrades for it's rooms, facilities and amenities. The room I stayed in is big (compared to most hotel rooms in Japan) but the toilet seat cover keeps falling down while using it. Plenty of cobwebs at corners , especially along the corridor. The bathroom taps is like a 'makeshift' upgrade shared by basin and bathtub. See photo. Good thing is that I can see upgrading and renovation taking place but seems like it has been going on for a very long time already.

The hotel is located far from the station and I had to walk uphill in the heat with my luggage, I sent a request to the hotel to pick up my luggage twice, but never received the service, I got to the hotel, the owner took my passport, I filled out the paper, then they just told me check-in after 15.00, they didn’t offer to leave my luggage, sit down from the road, wait, for a second I’m already over 50 years old, not a girl, I stood near the entrance until I asked “can I leave my luggage before check-in, to which the owner waved his hand at me and that's all. When I arrived at the hotel after 15.00, the hostess appeared and again asked for a passport, I said that her husband had already registered me, no smile, no greeting, nothing, this is the attitude towards Russians, why such discrimination? I come to you, pay you money, not for a hostel, but for a normal room, just to sleep, and this is the attitude. After Tokyo, I was generally in shock, of course, I didn’t expect it, I came to spend my birthday in Nikko, I thought I’d stay in a family hotel, but here this attitude is a huge minus. I do not recommend this family business☹️😡

The shuttle service to and from Tobu Nikko Station was very convenient. Upon arrival, check-in was handled directly at a small table, with only the payment requiring a quick visit to the front desk. Guests arriving around 3 PM can enjoy afternoon tea service. The hot spring bath was spacious and excellent. Breakfast and dinner were served in private dining rooms with lovely views, which was a delightful experience. The hotel's location is superb: the Two Shrines and One Temple (UNESCO World Heritage sites) are just a short walk from the front, and Kanmangafuchi Abyss is easily accessible from the back. There's also a local bus stop right outside, though the bus service is quite infrequent, so catching one is a matter of luck.

I would really like to give this place a full five star because of the spacious room and good service but the location was quite far from the main station and shuttle buses were limited (only 3x per day to the station and back). Taxis from the station to the hotel costs around 900 yen (additional booking fees would be incurred if the hotel books for you as opposed to hailing one along the streets) which is ok but when you need it too often (because it can get really dark at night on the route without street lights), it’s additional costs to factor in. Having said that, it is a peaceful place to be with the mountain view at the back of the hotel. Free drinks were provided and I like the spacious dining / living area which is really good for groups to have debrief. Hotel staff were also really helpful in giving recommendations for food as restaurants tend to close quite early and they also helped me to call a cab on my last day.

Hope this review helps fellow travelers: The hotel is conveniently located close to both Tobu Nikko Station and JR Nikko Station (the two stations are separate but only about 100 meters apart). From the bus stop in the small square just outside Tobu Nikko Station, you can catch buses to all major attractions, allowing you to choose your route based on your needs and desired destinations. Shinkyo Bridge is within easy walking distance from the station. In front of JR Nikko Station, there's a designated stop for a free shuttle bus to Edo Wonderland, which takes approximately 30 minutes to reach. However, departures are not very frequent. Edo Wonderland is a theme park with an adult ticket price of 5,800 JPY. We noticed it was primarily frequented by tour groups, so I personally wouldn't highly recommend it for individual travelers. The hotel's photos and videos accurately reflect the actual property. Although our Ctrip booking indicated no breakfast was included, the hotel provided a complimentary set breakfast for each guest. Both the interior and exterior environments are very quiet and peaceful. Overall, this is an excellent choice!

First off, do not trust Google Maps for directions. The directions take you up the alley behind the hotel. The hotel opens on the main street (Hwy. 119 is what Maps indicates). This is an absolutely great little hotel, well located, clean and everything about the hotel I noticed, well looked after. It has a small, functional onsen that I used. I was in their hostel section, a single bed, capsule style. A little tough for a creaky, bad knees, old person like me but a great stay. They have a small, affordable breakfast buffet (Oriental-style) for purchase that is decent with a variety of different dishes. And they have a machine that dispenses excellent, fresh coffees and other beverages. It is a 2-star hotel and I will give it a 5 star rating as a 2 star hotel. Very good little hotel.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right across from the JR station and very close to Tobu Nikko Station. A bus stop is also just a two-minute walk away, offering great convenience. The hotel environment is quite pleasant. The lobby isn't luxurious but is tastefully decorated, and the staff speak English. They thoughtfully provide toiletries like makeup remover and facial cleanser, which is very convenient. Complimentary afternoon beverages are also a nice perk. The room size was acceptable, and it was cleaned well. However, there was a noticeable urine smell in the bathroom; I couldn't tell if it was from the drainage system or due to the building's age. Also, bottled water was not provided in the room, and there was no humidifier.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the view was great. The free cocktail and coffee services in the lobby were nice, as well as the free drink bar (including one beer per person) near the entrance to the hot spring. The paid massage service was also good. The meals were decent, especially the grilled beef, which simply melted in my mouth. The restaurant staff welcomed us warmly and provided friendly service. Cons: The variety of hot springs was lacking, and the view from the hot springs was almost blocked, which was disappointing. The lockers for valuables used combination dials, and foreign guests often didn’t know how to use them, locking their room keys inside and struggling to reopen them. This was a major inconvenience. They should switch to a key-and-wristband system like other onsen hotels. The room itself felt like an old, once-grand mansion that had seen better days. The furniture had many scratches, and the surfaces were worn and peeling. It made me think it must have been impressive in the past. Still, the room was definitely more spacious compared to other hotels.

The hotel is great! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with many facilities like karaoke, a game center, and more. I visited with my family, a total of 14 people, and they were able to arrange a private room for us for both dinner and breakfast. Both meals were buffet-style and absolutely delicious. The onsen experience was wonderful, and the view from the onsen was fantastic, with a beautiful view of the Kinugawa River. However, there was one issue: when we checked in, the reception took our passports for photocopying. Unfortunately, they missed returning one of the passports to us. It wasn’t until after we checked out and reached our next stop that we realized one passport was missing. We had to go back to the hotel to take it. Despite this, the overall experience was great, and I would still recommend the hotel.

The hotel itself is not bad, the rooms are spacious. But it was not possible to connect to the Internet, you need a Chinese phone number. Perhaps the staff could help with this, but I did not have time to figure it out. From the capital's airport T2 / T3 there is a bus to the hotel. It runs once an hour. They write that you need to request it in advance, but without knowing Chinese, you can not do this over the phone. I asked the staff at the information desk at the airport to help me with this. In Terminal 2, the bus picks up people at gate 8 next to the mobile police station. White IVECO with the number *****. The phone number you can call to order the bus: ***********
