Perfect hotel in every aspect. Great front desk, great restaurant manager with many tips for every place in Bucharest. We loved the hotel bar also and the suites are the best in Bucharest.

Lovely hotel! The hotel is 10 min walk from the old twon. Our room was very clean and spacious with great shower! The staff are incredibly polite, welcoming and friendly. The staff from cafe at the front went out of their way to get us vegan cake in the evening. The bar staff was lovely as well and drinks and food reasonably priced. The breakfast had good selection for anyone including nice vegan options. Definitely try the vegan strawberry cake, it was the breakfast highlight for us. As they are renovating spa we couldn't use the hotel ones (we will have to come back to try). They offered options nearby but we opted for a different place for our massages in the end. Overall great stay and we will definitely come back.

Stayed for 3 nights in early September 2025. The hotel is located near the old town which is very convenient for sightseeing, as most of the places are within walking distance. It is refurbished from an old bank and retains the charm of the former building including a nice lobby which was previously the banking hall. They also have a vault with a bar within. The room was comfortable and had all the basic amenities including a safebox. They have USB charger built in as well. Wifi was fast. The hotel also does have a swimming pool in the basement with wet and dry sauna facilities. The old town is right behind the hotel. Staff were professional and I managed to have slightly early check in thanks to a trainee lady (I did not catch the name) who took time to helped look for available room.

I was very disappointed with my stay. There was a strong and unpleasant smell of sewage in the rooms, which could also be detected from the hallway, even 10 meters away. I was on the 5th floor, and despite the hotel’s reputation, this was not what I expected. Additionally, loud music from a nearby bar or restaurant continued until midnight, making it very difficult to sleep. I had to keep the window open due to the smell, and so did my colleague in the neighboring room — but with nighttime temperatures around 8–9°C, the room was uncomfortably cold. Overall, the experience fell far below expectations for a hotel with such a good name.

Great Location – But Book Entire Stay Upfront to Avoid Price Jump Hilton is in a great location – right on the border of the main road and pedestrian-friendly areas that lead straight into the old town. Perfect for exploring the city on foot. When I arrived, I checked out the available rooms and asked the receptionist for the current rate. The price through Trip.com was considerably lower, so I booked it online and received a substantial discount for the same room. I enjoyed my stay enough to extend for a second night. However, I was surprised to find that the price for Monday night had jumped up significantly and matched the original reception rate—much higher than my first night. Same room, just a higher cost. Tip: If you're planning to stay more than one night, I recommend booking the full duration upfront through Trip.com to lock in the best rate. Prices can change daily, and you may not get the same deal by booking night by night. Overall, a comfortable stay in a great spot—but be smart with how you book.

There is breakfast, a big bathtub, and a large area. I booked a deluxe room type. Opened in 1886, the building is beautiful, the rooms are luxurious, and it is located in the city center. There is also a massage service in the room, and the charge is about HK$760 for two hours, which should be considered cheap in Europe

Our stay at the Mercure Bucharest was truly memorable, thanks to the exceptional service and warm hospitality. The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the city. The attention to detail in the room's amenities made our stay even more enjoyable. A special mention goes to the receptionist, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She provided us with amazing suggestions for places to visit in Romania, turning our holiday into an incredible experience. Her local knowledge and enthusiasm made all the difference, guiding us to hidden gems we might have otherwise missed. The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to all tastes. It was the perfect way to start our days of sightseeing. The hotel's location is very convenient, with easy access to Bucharest's main attractions and public transport. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, Mercure Bucharest offers a welcoming and comfortable stay. We left with wonderful memories and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Amazing location in the heart of the city. Twin room came with separate toilet and bathroom, which is great if you travel with friends. Reception is serviced 24h and speak good English, but staff was not too helpful (eg didnt help with getting a taxi).

Located in the center of Bucharest, it is very convenient to go everywhere. You can walk to various attractions. Free parking is available on the side roads of the hotel. There are also vacant spaces in the hotel’s underground parking garage. It should be charged. The facilities are fully equipped and the rooms are fully modernized. Breakfast is on the 6th floor. Very comfortable with balcony and large living room, overlooking the old town.
