First, the positives. The room was very nice, and the small kitchenette was perfect. But then, checking in was a complete disaster. Without an access code (which I was not sent!!!), nothing works. There's no reception or anyone to help. I had to call a hotline in Zurich that only spoke English. There might be people renting a hotel in Berlin who don't speak English, you know! This definitely needs to be improved, especially since you're standing in front of a locked hotel door, with luggage, just glad to have arrived, and then no one can help... After they finally sent me the room code, I still couldn't get into the room. The code only activates precisely at 3 PM. So I had to stand in front of the room for 30 minutes and wait, even though the room was ready. The room wasn't cleaned for 4 days, and the towels weren't changed. Also, check-out is disproportionately early. The room has to be vacated by 10 AM. The cleaning lady already knocked just before 10 AM. I think that's far too early. In short – the rooms are very nice, the location (5 minutes from Alexanderplatz) is great, but the service is a catastrophe...

The location is excellent and peaceful, as it's just a 5-minute walk from Alexanderplatz, where you can find bus, tram, metro, and train lines to reach every corner of Berlin.
The apartment itself is very spacious and well-equipped. It was spotless and had a huge bathtub, which was perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
The host was very responsive via email, which is great if you encounter any issues.
The value for money was really good. We would definitely stay here again.

I just got off the plane and arrived that day. I arrived at the hotel around 10am, thinking of putting my luggage away. The waiter was very nice and said there was a room for me to check in immediately, very courteous.

The hotel is on the roadside, 8 minutes walk from the subway station, very convenient. I booked a double bed with another girl, but both beds were very small, and they were put together. It was not comfortable. Breakfast was monotonous.

There's a subway station right outside, and the U2 line goes directly to Messe Berlin without any transfers. About 700 meters away, there's a fantastic Chinese restaurant that I ended up eating at every day. The hotel is also in the city center; it's just a 15-minute walk to the Brandenburg Gate and Museum Island. You get what you paid for. The location is somewhat ok, you have to walk for 10-15mins from Central Station. I arrived late night and check-in was smooth. I was in a 8-bedder room, and it was actually quite spacious. They have some hook to hang your jacket, some rack for you to put your backpack underneath the bed. Nothing fancy, so only choose if you're looking for a place just to sleep. Other than that, they also have a common area where you can sit. You might also need to pay extra for luggage storage and towel.From€17

The hotel is near the famous Alexanderplatz; unfortunately near the bridge of the U-Bahn.
The smell of pee outside is off putting to say the least.
The hotel and rooms are clean, unfortunately there’s carpet everywhere. So you can’t really tell. It’s not hygienic.
The rooms are a little small, there’s little space to empty your luggage and nowhere to actually put it.
The plug situation in the room is ridiculous. In a double room, there’s only one plug near only one of the beds.
In the shower, there’s nothing to place your own shampoo and conditioner and so on.
The TV doesn’t have any mirrorcast/airtv options to screen something from your phone/tablet, and most of the channels are in German.From€59

The location is in the northern suburbs, but it's less than a 30-minute ride by subway and S-Bahn to Brandenburg Gate and Berlin Central Station. The room is quite spacious and very quiet. Great value for money. There's a Lidl supermarket about 400 meters to the left when you exit. If you're heading to the city center, I highly recommend taking the S-Bahn on the east side (turn right when you exit); it's much quieter. If you go west towards the Lidl supermarket to take the U-Bahn, you'll find yourself in an area populated by Eastern Europeans, West Asians, and Africans, and you might even encounter a large Eastern European man urinating on the sidewalk just 2 meters away from you.From€42
