I've always chosen this hotel when visiting Mount Fuji, and it seems to have been renovated this time. Everything was decent; it was quiet, and the private onsen in the room was incredibly relaxing. The breakfast was also quite varied and plentiful.
- JOHNSON-WANG.
The environment and service are both excellent, and the hygiene is top-notch. It has private onsen pools, and it's a short walk to Lake Kawaguchiko. Check-out time is as late as 11:00 AM, the breakfast is very extensive, and the hotel has a unique design.

This hotel boasts an outstanding ambiance. Both its facilities and service are truly top-notch. The rooms offer stunning direct views of Mount Fuji, with the landscape transforming beautifully across the four seasons. It will definitely be my top choice for future visits to Lake Kawaguchiko to unwind and simply take in the majestic views of Mount Fuji.

Really like the size of the room with the kitchen, but it got a bit cold and dry at night. It’s not that far from the train station but you will need to take a taxi if you have luggage. We really enjoyed the fact that it was near a huge supermarket. We could buy ingredients to cook.

Property seems like a heaven. And location was awesome. But just the service was so bad. It have ruined our trip. Staff were not cooperative and they are not foreigners friendly. Rude and arrogant(male person in reception ). We had problem during stay which could be solved if the reception person have given information properly.

This hotel stay was absolutely fantastic, definitely five-star worthy! **Excellent Location:** Directly facing Mount Fuji 🗻, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery right from the sofa! **Attentive Service:** From check-in at the front desk, the staff were warm and efficient. Throughout my stay, no matter what I needed, they were quick to assist. Truly thoughtful service. **Comfortable Room:** The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had excellent natural light. The sunshine streaming in really brightened my mood. The bedding was incredibly soft, and I slept wonderfully at night. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries were all of good quality and pleasant to use. **Great Value for Money:** Considering the hotel's location, service, and the hot spring ♨️, this price felt absolutely worth it for me. It was a trip well spent. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely choose this hotel again and recommend it to my friends!

To be honest, I booked this for the half-board experience. The visibility of Mount Fuji is purely up to luck, but the hotel itself offers great views. Unfortunately, the shabu-shabu beef was extremely greasy and overall lacked flavor. For this price premium, even with Mount Fuji in summer, it feels a bit excessive... The breakfast experience was much better, and the onsen view is still on point.

The decoration of the room is light luxury style, very comfortable, four rooms on the second floor, each room has a single bed, a double bed, and tatami on the first floor. The dishes we bought in the supermarket are heated and eaten very affordable and comfortable. The only suggestion to the landlord, can you prepare a few bicycles? Convenient to go around.
- Guest User
The villa is like a show flat, with a modern and minimalist design and a huge TV screen like a home theater. The facilities are large enough for many people to stay, making it a great place for a group of friends to gather. The environment is quiet and you can connect with nature. Mount Fuji is right in front of you, but it is relatively remote, so it is best to drive there for convenience.

We stayed in 106. The house is fantastic. Very clean and new. The host prepared everything we need. The house has a mountain Fuji on the rooftop. But the hotel located with a small road. The driver must be very careful to drive.

Nice view of Mount Fuji from the hotel. Within walking distance to lake kawaguchiko and eateries. Nice bath facilities and complimentary drinks that are provided round the clock. The main drawback is that the furnitures are old and stained. Coffee grinder and plates are also not cleaned properly from the last use as they were sticky to the touch. The most appalling part was there are insects crawling out from the sofa and bed. New finds everyday. The hotel staff just said that having insects in the guest rooms are common as they are surrounded by nature. I’ve my own take to that. Best to avoid if your fellow travellers are afraid of creepy crawlers. My wife and kids were ordering me to kill off the insects every now and then. lol
- Guest User
Pictures 3 and 4 show Mount Fuji in the early morning rain, while pictures 1 and 2 show it after the rain cleared up. This room offers an excellent view of Mount Fuji right from the balcony door. There's only a slight obstruction on the right side, but it doesn't affect taking great photos. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but the taste is decent.

The resort provides a free shuttle bus every hour between the train station and the resort, it's pretty convenient but you need to book ahead especially when there are a lot of people. I and my friend went for the Fuji Marathon last year and we needed to go to the starting point earlier than the shuttle bus first round, we planned to book a taxi but with the resort staff's advice, they were afraid that the taxi would be hard to book so they offer us an extra early shuttle bus round to the station with kindness, what a great service!!. Their restaurant also have Mt. Fuji view

The forest villa has unmelted snow, the air is excellent, the room is large, and it is very pet-friendly. Almost all other places in Japan bring puppies. The hot spring is not too convenient, but I am very satisfied with everything else, especially the teppanyaki dinner.

Environment: This is one of several hotels located by Lake Kawaguchiko. You can take the Kawaguchiko bus and get off at Ubuka, then it's just a short walk away. This makes it really convenient for visiting the ropeway, enjoying the views, and dining. Service: If you have a lot of people or a lot of luggage, I highly recommend using their shuttle service within the designated hours. Staff at the Kawaguchiko Tourist Center can help you call the hotel to arrange pick-up, which is very convenient. Room service and amenities are beyond excellent. We booked a stay with two meals (dinner and breakfast), and both dining experiences were incredibly attentive and detailed. Facilities: The hotel has a large public bath for soaking, and the rooms also feature shower facilities with a wet/dry separation – everything you need.

Maruei is a traditional ryokan which sleep on tatami. The room is exactly like picture. We enjoy our spacious, neat and clean room. The room was sanitized daily as well. The room we choose have a private round-shaped bathtub. The hotel also equipped with public bath in 1st and 5th floor (opened-air bath) but we didn't have time to try it out. The water pressure is good. Both hot and cold drinking water are provided in room. We were treated like VVIP. The staffs are kind and friendly. We stayed with half boarded. The breakfast and dinner are delicious. We have our dinner in a desinated room which boost the privacy. Overall, we very enjoy the stay.

This hotel is located on the south side of Lake Kawaguchiko, which is a good location. It's about 1.5-2 kilometers from Kawaguchiko Station and is within walking distance. The room was much larger than expected, a traditional Japanese-style room with an unobstructed view of Mount Fuji from the window. Breakfast was excellent; while not a huge variety, the quality was great, offering both Japanese and Western options. The chestnut pumpkin was particularly delicious. The staff were all very helpful. When they saw our child's yukata was a bit short, they immediately brought a longer one for the little one. There's a hot spring on the first floor. The beef and pork hot pot for dinner was just so-so. The portion size was too large, and a set meal would have been better.

This is a beautiful hotel, nestled by Lake Kawaguchiko at the foot of Mount Fuji. The views are excellent; you can enjoy an unobstructed panorama of Mount Fuji directly from the hotel. The rooms are traditional Japanese-style tatami rooms, and the Japanese dinner was also delicious. Getting around is convenient as the hotel offers a shuttle service. 🏨 the ryokan turned out to be much more beautiful than i expected from what i've seen on the pictures here 🗺️ the location is great, and even though we didn't get the room with the lake view, the view was still amazing. there's also a konbini and a few cafés right next to the ryokan, so it was very convenient 🕴️the staff was kind, it was easy to communicate in english 🧖♀️ didn't attend the onsen myself, but my friends told me they liked it ⭐️ taking one star off cause the shower-head was a bit broken and the room wasn't clean enough to my taste

This was my second stay at this hotel, seven years after my first visit. There's a regular shuttle service between Kawaguchiko Station and the hotel. If you want to go to a convenience store or a restaurant, your options are either walking or catching the Green Line sightseeing bus from the road behind the hotel. The hotel's main entrance faces Mount Fuji, and on clear days, you can get a stunning view of Fuji from the second-floor restaurant and the sixth-floor observation deck. Since there were three of us this time, we opted for a tatami room, which was a unique experience. The breakfast here offers great value for money with a wide selection; you can really fill up enough to skip lunch. It was very convenient to spend the whole day exploring on a one-day tour bus, then have dinner near Kawaguchiko Station and take the shuttle back to the hotel in the evening.

The room was quite small. Since it was a weekend and I booked late, the price was ridiculously expensive. When booking, I had a choice between a mountain view and a street view, and I naturally picked the mountain view. What I got were a few mountains, but not the snow-capped ones I had imagined. There are free drinks from 6 PM to 8 PM, and breakfast in the morning is also good. It's about 50 RMB by taxi from JR Kawaguchiko Station, or more than a 20-minute walk. The hotel is near a large supermarket by Lake Kawaguchiko. There's no public bus service to Lake Kawaguchiko in the morning.

We stayed in a tatami room for five people. The room had a toilet, but no shower. Guests need to go to the 4th floor for showers. We hadn't booked breakfast, but the hotel recommended a nearby bakery. Just turn right out of the hotel and walk about 200m – their bread was absolutely delicious! The 4th floor also features restrooms, showers, and an onsen (hot spring bath), and if the weather is clear, you can even enjoy views of Mount Fuji from the soaking tub. Outside on the ground floor, there are coin-operated washing machines and dryers, so remember to bring some 100 yen coins. Check-out time is 10 AM. On a side note, there's a highly-rated restaurant nearby called ”Waka.” Their Tonkatsu Don (pork cutlet bowl) is excellent. We also tried the ”Xiao Tian Jing” (I believe that's the name), which is a set meal comprising two main dishes – one noodle dish and one tempura with rice – definitely enough for two people!

My second stay with them in 2 years! Once you arrive at Kawaguchiko station, head to tourist information centre to get them to call the ryokan to pick you up. The ride is 5mins! The walk itself is about 10mins but hilly. You wouldnt want to do that with luggages in tow. The room is very clean and has great view of Lake Kawaguchiko. Our stay came with breakfast and dinner. Dinner was great! Most items were delicious. Breakfast is buffet style and pretty average. Their private and female onsen have views of mt Fuji!

The check-in staff were absolutely terrible, which unfortunately left a very poor first impression. Her English was stiff, hard to understand, and she spoke incredibly fast, almost as if she didn't want me to comprehend anything. When I asked a question, she was extremely impatient, practically trying to rush me away. She even snatched back the card she'd given me before I had a chance to finish reading it. Thankfully, the staff member who showed us to our room was much better, which helped salvage some of my initial impression of the hotel. The room itself was decent, and the hot spring was very relaxing. The shuttle bus staff, however, were excellent.

Cottage Tozawa Center is located marvelously right opposite Mount Fuji. Cottage Tozawa Center is somewhere in between Kawaguchiko town center and Oishi town centre. Best location because we could see all the fireworks in the living room. The unit E1 has the best view, I think. One can sit in the living room or bedroom or balcony comfortably to admire Mount Fuji. It would be more convenient for tourists who drive. No meals provided. Have to prepare futon by yourself. May rent a place for camping, which would be quite a unique experience during both winter and summer. It's a hidden gem because it is lesser known among international tourists.

The hotel environment was quite clean. Upon arrival, a staff member led us to our room and thoroughly explained all the facilities. Once you reach Kawaguchiko Station, you can ask the tourist information center staff to call the hotel for a shuttle bus pick-up. The hotel faces Lake Kawaguchiko, offering a nice view. 👍 These are all the good points. Now, about the reasons for my dissatisfaction: I'm someone who genuinely loves traditional Japanese *ryokan* (inn) stays with dinner and breakfast, and I've visited Mount Fuji and Kawaguchiko 4-5 times over the past decade. However, this time I specifically brought my parents to experience it, and the hotel's food was simply not good. While the variety was rich, the taste and freshness of the ingredients were limited. I even found a hair in the sashimi, and the crab was frozen. The small dessert cakes after dinner tasted strongly of artificial flavors. It was no longer the thoughtful, warm cuisine I remembered; the presentation far outweighed the substance. On one hand, my parents, being used to Chinese food, couldn't get accustomed to it. On the other hand, I absolutely have to give this hotel's dining a low rating; there was hardly a single dish that made you want to take another bite. Kawaguchiko has a large number of tourists because of Mount Fuji, but purely in terms of *onsen* hotels, I would recommend Kyushu or Kanazawa more.
