This was the first stop on this year’s 3 week holiday in India. The welcoming could not have been better .. we arrived long before our room should have been ready but it was all made up. I’d highly recommend a room with the sea view .. you will be aware of the ferry boat which runs between 6am and 9pm, but you soon become oblivious to it. The pool is lovely and the 3 restaurants serve the most amazing food … the curries and local dishes are awesome. 2 highlights … high tea at 5pm is not to be missed (no extra charge) then a sunset cruise around the river at 5:30pm (no extra charge). And you don’t have to walk far from the hotel to find some great shopping streets and some local restaurants either. Big thanks to all the team in the hotel for making the start to our holiday so special!

I want to thank the Brunton Boatyard for allowing my wife and me to join the sunset cruise. Even though we were guests at the sister CGH property in Fort Kochi, Eighth Bastion, the staff allowed us to come on board for a fee of about 1000 INR per person. We had afternoon tea at the Armoury, which was perfect to refresh from the Kochi heat. The boat cruise into the Arabian Sea was amazing. It was great to see the sunset and Chinese fishing nets from the water. Thanks to Aji and Faris for all their help in getting us on board the cruise. Brunton Boatyard is definitely a standout property with its colonial architecture, and we will visit again whenever we are next in Fort Kochi.
