If you want a place to just sleep then this inn is just right for you. The owner was friendly and accommodating. However, we had trouble finding the location as it was in between stores. The way to the inn is had stairs so we carried our luggages. The room is neat and tidy but smelled really old. The comforters smelled like it hadn’t been washed. The inn only provided sachets of body shower and shampoo so I suggest bringing your own toiletries.

I came to play with a friend and the facilities were very good. The bathroom is clean and satisfied. It was quite high-rise, so it was good to see the outside scenery. There is also a washing machine and a kitchen, so it is easy to cook and wash.

Ningxia Night Market is within walking distance and the downtown area is a bit far away, so I was rather good. It was possible for a taxi from Taipei Main Station Ximending $150. It was nice to have a balcony.

Service, hygiene and location are 100 points, but the water heater in the room is a bit poor, the shower is sometimes hot and sometimes cold, and the air conditioning is not very stable, sometimes hot and sometimes cold.

Not far from the MRT station, convenient food, except for a little noisy when someone passing by the aisle, in fact, they are very quiet and feel very comfortable. But there is one place where the most dissatisfied 😅 is why the shower head is hung up to 190 cm high. It is still difficult to get it on my feet. The push pipe lets the shower head fall and catch 😓, and it can't hang flushing (too high, can't hang), must be held in your hand 😭.

This time, room 303 is really small enough. It is not recommended for passengers with large bags. The room is as high as usual. The CP value is very high, and then the shower head seat that is so high that it is still towering into the clouds.

The location is excellent, the layout is well-planned, and the bed is very comfortable. There are two power outlets, one at the head and one at the foot, which is more than enough and very convenient. On the 2nd and 3rd floors, every seat in the lounge area has an outlet (this is super important!!). The 3rd floor also has a small kitchen where you can cook late-night snacks, and a large refrigerator for your own food. The front desk staff are very friendly, and there are free earplugs available at the counter.

I stayed here to attend an event at Taipei 101. The check-in process was easy since the staff spoke Japanese. The facilities were clean, and having a shared kitchen and water dispenser was very convenient. The only slight inconvenience was the shower – there's no changing area, which made getting dressed afterward a bit awkward. On the positive side, the private lockers were large and lockable, which gave me peace of mind.

The surrounding living facilities are quite convenient, with convenience stores, beverage shops, etc. ~ It is a good hotel for general business or sightseeing in Taipei. There is only one elevator and it is small.

The Howard Plaza Hotel has an excellent location, very close to Daan Forest Park and Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station. The surrounding area has a full range of amenities and is very safe. The staff are attentive and friendly. As an older hotel, the facilities are a bit dated, and the room decor has a classic, slightly old-fashioned feel, but all of this is perfectly acceptable. The only downside was that the room number sign on my floor (I think it was the 6th floor, facing Ren'ai Road) seemed to be incorrect, directing me in the wrong direction from the elevator. I walked all the way to the end of the hall and couldn't find my room, so I had to turn back and eventually found it in the opposite direction. It was a bit frustrating. I hope they can fix that sign.

There's construction on one side of the hotel, and the old windows don't close properly, so diesel fumes from the crane wafted directly into the bedroom. Not to mention the noise from the building work – imagine driving a car without air conditioning, stuck behind a diesel truck constantly spewing exhaust fumes. The result? A headache that required painkillers. Luckily, Trip.com was great and got me a room change. The mattress is very soft, so if you prefer lumbar support, you should reconsider. The family with kids next door was very noisy, and the front desk promptly moved me to another room. The transportation is very convenient, with the MRT station just a two-minute walk away. The hotel lobby is like an MRT platform, bustling with people – from young to old, student groups to limping seniors, all attending some event. It's the opposite of quiet. If you enjoy crowded fairs, you might like the lively atmosphere. Even checking in took about 10 minutes.

Room was spacious, clean, comfortable as well as the beds. Bathroom/toilet were spacious. Loved the smart toilet, just like those in Japan. Push button double blinds. There was even a full size couch in the room. No unpleasant smell in and out of the bedroom, hallways. Lobby looked classy. Nothing really negative about the hotel. Staff were nice. The room is dated but location is centralised with a mall next to it. Escalator and walking distance helps to make luggages easier to handle. Rooms are relatively big. The lift system - you have to press both lifts for it to work and often a long waiting time. The dryer on 4th floor had a ”broke down” notice and when asked the reception, she gave me a nearby laundromat but it is not self-service coin operated. We booked with breakfast but i'll say, give the breakfast a miss.

A Fun and Funky Stay in the Heart of Taipei I had a great stay at Hotel PaPa Whale! The hotel's style is really unique and quirky, which makes it stand out from your typical business hotels. It’s just a short 7-minute walk to Ximen Station, making it super convenient to get around the city, and being right on the edge of Ximending means you're in the middle of all the action, shopping, and nightlife. Whether you're looking for a late-night snack, trendy cafes, or authentic ********* street food, you'll find it all right on your doorstep. The proximity to the MRT station is a huge plus for day trips too. Room & Atmosphere: The room was a decent size, especially for Taipei, and we had plenty of space for our luggage. The vibe is modern and playful. The most... memorable feature was definitely the large mirror on the ceiling above the bed. It certainly adds a fun, slightly ”kinky” twist to the room's atmosphere! It’s a bold design choice that fits the hotel's overall playful and unconventional personality. Bathroom: One of the highlights was the bathroom. It was impressively large, very clean, and well-appointed, with good water pressure in the shower. It felt more like a boutique hotel bathroom than a standard city hotel one. Overall: Hotel PaPa Whale is a solid 4-star experience. It combines a prime location, a clean and comfortable room with a fun twist, and a great bathroom. If you're looking for a memorable stay right in the heart of Taipei's most vibrant district, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for couples or anyone looking for something a little different.

I assume from another adjacent room. inforned front desk, but it seems they are not able to fix it Overall, won't come back and will try other hotels

This was the most unforgettable night of my entire trip to Taiwan. After staying in five different hotels, the Grand Hotel definitely ranks number one for me. The service attitude was excellent; the luggage staff helped with my bags as soon as I got out of the car, and then brought them to my room after check-in. Their smiles were warm, and their service was very professional. The front desk service was equally impressive, upgrading my room and adding a small, simple touch – two swans folded from towels on the bed – which was a pleasant surprise. The Grand Hotel truly offers a blend of professionalism and warmth. While the facilities might not be the absolute best, I believe their service and professionalism are on par with world-class luxury hotels. The shuttle service at Yuanshan Station makes transportation quite convenient. From my room, I could see Taipei 101 and planes taking off from Songshan Airport. The soundproofing was excellent; it wasn't noisy at all. Five stars don't even begin to express my praise for this hotel. If I have another chance to visit Taipei, the Grand Hotel will still be my top choice.

The Regent is thoroughly an amazing experience regardless of if you’re with family, friends, or a solo traveler. The room is incredibly spacious and comfortable with a beautiful bathroom and view of the city. The windows offer a great amount of natural light as well of a view of the city. There’s a well-sized desk too if you, like me, had to do some work during the day. The location itself is close to many other hotels and nearby to a station so transportation and local services are easy and possible. However, while locations like Ximending or Taipei 101 are not too far, it’s also not right outside. From some rooms, you can even see Taipei 101! Nonetheless, the area where the hotel is situated is incredibly quiet, clean, and relaxing. The service was, by far, the highlight of the entire experience. From the moment you walk in the door, there are an incredible amount of helpful and kind attendants to assist and guide you. There was not a single negative experience I could write about. As an international solo traveler, I felt well accommodated to. There are an incredible amount of amenities to make use of. Restaurants, bars, pools, spas, shopping! All within the confines of the hotel. If you’re more of a homebody rather than an explorer, that experience is definitely possible here. The food was amazing and the decor is simply decadent. Overall, it was an amazing stay with minimal to no qualms.

I had an excellent stay at the Grand Hyatt Taipei. The location is unbeatable—right next to Taipei 101 and in the heart of the Xinyi district, making it so convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and dining. Excellent location that is just across the street from the famous walking streets Ximending! The staff were all very courteous and kind. Our two single beds room had adequate space for our suitcases. Hairdryer, mini fridge, nice shower and japanese toilet. Appropriate room decor. Comfortable bed, large TV, two daily water bottles. 5th floor had a clothes area for washing, drying and ironing. Breakfast had enough food for people to find their fill. Light happy hour in the evening... I would definitely consider staying here again as we enjoyed it and it offered great value. My only downsides were that the walls were a bit thin. Also the hallway noise carries into the room too. And when the AC is on, it is very bright red illuminating the room. The blackout curtain didn't close 100%. But I had an eye mask and ear plugs so it wasn't a problem.
