Opted to stay at Pullman Olympic Park during my recent Sydney visit as all the hotels in Sydney CBD were fully booked. 1. The hotel is not 5 star as claimed. At best, it is only a 4 star hotel. The room upkeep is below average Shower gel was not replenished regularly. Towels were missing after the room cleaning. 2. Though it is only some 10 km. from Sydney CBD, you have to take 2 trains and a travelling time of 1 hour to get to CBD. 3. There is hardly any activity going on at the Sydney Olympic Park except when there is some sporting activity. There is no significant shopping area except for a DFO some 3 km. away. A few eateries of which only one remains open after 9pm -till 10pm. So, the only reason for one to stay at Olympic Park is if you are involved in some activity taking place there.

The room was spacious but it’s by no means fancy — you get what you pay for. The issue we had was due to other patrons at the hotel smoking. The smoke completely filled our room to the point that we woke up at night not being able to breathe. Unfortunately I am particularly prone to breathing issues due to smoke so it was hard for me to deal with. When we notified staff, they arranged for the cleaner to clean our room by spraying the room and leaving the balcony door open to air out. This was fine during the day but the patrons continued smoking at night. The receptionists tried their very best to assist us and found us a room to move into on our last night. So thank you to the team who helped us address this issue and also confirming they smiled and said hello every time we came in and left the hotel :)

The shower was to high for me as I have a disability with my knees and my hips. I can’t lift my legs that high to get up into the shower. I was in room 1637. So I could not have a shower.

Great location easy walk to the Sydney Olympic Park. The room was nice and clean very comfortable we enjoyed the breakfast buffet with a great selection of of cereals pastries bacon and eggs also and can be ordered and cooked to your desired taste and also tea and coffee you could order a cappuccino too all inclusive at a very reasonable price $30 pp.overall I would stay again definitely if needed.
