It's OK, the price is reasonable, the location is good, takeaway can be delivered upstairs, the facilities are a bit old, the decoration of the old Soviet hotel, warm and comfortable, there is a souvenir shop downstairs, the front desk speaks fluent English

We had a pleasant 6N/7D stay at the hotel. The staff service level was exceptionally good especially the housekeeping staff, Dilnoza, the concierge, the staff of Khiva restaurant where we had our daily breakfast and also the front office staff. This is the second time this summer I have stayed at this hotel and everything about it is excellent. From the reception area and the greeting I received to the room, restaurant and many other amenities. The staff around the reception area were always ready to help and very attentive in particular Doniyor who really made me feel that he was genuinely interested in making sure my stay was as pleasant as possible. The room was, just like the last time, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable with an excellent shower. A cheap and efficient laundry service is available. The breakfast buffet was first class with an excellent selection of food. I also ate lunch and dinner in the hotel and the restaurant food was wonderful. I ate all meals at the hotel over my two stays and I highly recommend it. Again the restaurant staff and in particular Elbek were very efficient and food recommendations were spot on. The hotel also offers a very well equipped gym, a sauna, steam room and pool free of charge for guests with a payable spa massage on request. I want to give a special mention to Malika, the young girl who owns small shop in the reception area selling beautiful hand made jewelry, rugs, scarves and other items. Almost everything is hand made and that which is not she clearly points it out. It is all very reasonably priced and I was very happy to buy several items from her. I had an excellent stay at this hotel and would thoroughly recommend Swissotel Tashkent.
Finally if you are considering using Tashkent only as a stopover I would really recommend at least two nights and one full day as there are plenty of things to do including the metro stations, an outdoor train museum which was excellent, bazaars, a wonderful mosque and go take pictures of the Soviet-built Uzbekistan Hotel built in the Soviet Brutalist style with an Asian influence, absolutely beautiful and very different to the architecture found it Khiva etc. So I would advise, stay in Tashkent either at the start or end of your trip or both as I did and stay at the Swissotel. I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It is a brand-new hotel, and everything was modern, clean, and well-maintained. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully designed. There's a small supermarket not too far away. Convenient if you want to be close to the airport. You can take a taxi or use Yandex to get to Tashkent city center, which is about 35-45 minutes depending on your destination. The hotel has an indoor pool and a small gym. This hotel definitely deserves high praise for its food and rooms! The breakfasts here are simply amazing.
The rooms are excellent: spacious, clean, stylish, and I slept wonderfully.
However, there's one drawback right now – the hotel is undergoing renovations, which, unfortunately, causes some inconvenience: noise and closed-off areas. But it's clear that the work is extensive and for the better. We're eagerly awaiting the end of the renovation to finally experience the opening of the swimming pool – that will be a fantastic bonus.
And I hope that after the pool, the gym will also be spruced up, because right now it clearly pales in comparison to the other fantastic areas. If all of this is completed, the hotel will be absolutely perfect. I'll definitely return once everything is finished!FromBRL 766

It was a pleasant 3 nights. The reception staffs are friendly and helpful.
Breakfast: There wasn’t a lot of variety for hot food at breakfast but it wasn’t too bad
Location: it is close to some touristy attractions but if I visit again, I wouldn’t choose this location but again, it wasn’t too bad if it wasn’t so hot because then it would have been very nice walkable to places. There’s a KFC and Costa coffee at the hotel doorstep..
Hotel facilities: The gym was closed and the whole reason I chosen this hotel because they have a gym and the price was reasonable so not being able to use was incredibly disappointing but I was told that usually when it’s open.. it is 24/7 so that’s really good.
Amenities: There is no toothbrush or toothpaste so make sure to bring your own or you can buy at reception.FromBRL 614
