It is an apartment-style hotel with a balcony with a great view of the harbor through two large windows. The three-bedroom apartment we booked has two bathrooms. The room is small, but the dining room and living room are quite large. The disadvantage is that check-in must be before 6 o'clock, otherwise there will be no one at the front desk. Check-out time is too tight, you need to check out before 10 o'clock, and there is no cleaning every day.

The room was spacious with modern facilities. Located right in the city center, it's incredibly convenient for getting around, and the staff provided excellent service!

Highly recommended. The hotel is centrally located, yet set back from the main thoroughfares, ensuring a relatively quiet night's sleep. On one side of the hotel is a fire station, and on the other, Flagstaff Gardens – a large public park, much like the People's Parks in China, featuring children's play facilities. Victoria Market, numerous brunch spots, and shopping centers are all within walking distance.

Location is good, close to QV, Chinatown and supermarket. We paid to upgrade to suite which is good, all staffs are nice and helpful.

We had no idea there was a downstairs section, but the more we experience this establishment the more we liked it. Downstairs has a restaurant and bar even though we only had breakfast the next morning, we can’t wait to head back and try the restaurant.  Customer service was outstanding, the kind that you only experience in the United States. The whole staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The room we had was very spacious including the bathroom and shower (no bathtub) and it was very clean. The only downside was that the bed was very firm and pillows soft, I prefer to feel like I’m sleeping on a cloud with a firm pillow.  We left feeling like the hotel didn’t have that business transaction type vibe but rather we were family, everybody was so friendly and we will definitely be back.

The hotel is located in Melbourne city itself. It’s located within the free tram service of 11 & 48. Estimated 10 to 15mins walking distance to Parliament metro station. Stayed at level 48 facing the stadium and Fitzroy garden. You will be expecting to wake up to a lovely sunrise every morning. Convenient. To travel along the city either via tram or walking. Walking distance to the art gallery, state library and all.  The staffs have been accommodating and always ready to answer your questions. Shoutout to the staff Lein and I can’t remember what the staff’s name at the the ground floor lobby. Room service has been good. Love the welcome card and fruit platter provided by the hotel( though I can’t finish). Thank you for making my stay in Melbourne comfortable and will definitely come back soon!

We initially booked just two nights at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, but the outstanding service we received made us extend our stay—and I’m so glad we did. The level of attentiveness and genuine care shown by the staff truly elevated our experience. One moment that stood out was during breakfast. My husband asked a staff member at the pastry section whether the items were halal. She explained it to him politely, and to our surprise, about 15 minutes later, the Assistant Director of the restaurant, Mr. Albert, personally came to our table. He took the time to explain the halal options available and even assured us that eggs could be prepared using separate utensils. While I was getting bread, Mr. Albert noticed and came over again, kindly asking if I would like my eggs prepared then. He immediately instructed the chef to prepare eggs and nuggets for me and told me to sit comfortably while he arranged everything to be brought over. His thoughtfulness and proactive service left a lasting impression. It’s rare to see such initiative and care, and it made me feel confident that I had chosen the right hotel. I will definitely recommend Grand Hyatt Melbourne to my family and friends. The hotel is fortunate to have a staff member like Mr. Albert—he truly deserves recognition for his outstanding hospitality.
