We had a great stay at this hotel. It has a wonderful historic pub full of character, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. They regularly checked in to make sure everything was going well, which made us feel very welcome. One thing that really surprised us was the size of the food portions in the restaurant. I ordered what was supposed to be a small portion, but it was huge! The rooms were comfortable, and we also enjoyed the lovely courtyard and the outdoor seating area, perfect for relaxing with a drink. Breakfast was excellent, with both a cooked-to-order menu and a buffet offering plenty of choice. The only downside was the sound insulation. As it’s an older building, we could hear other guests quite clearly in the morning. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would happily return.
