The hotel staff, from the front desk to the cleaning crew, provided excellent and enthusiastic service. Knowing I was traveling with a child and staying for several days, they thoughtfully upgraded my room. The hotel's underground parking is convenient for both parking and charging. Plus, it's super easy to get around as the hotel is right at the entrance of Luomashi Metro Station.

The location is excellent, right next to Chunxi Road, just across the skywalk. The hotel exterior is grand, and the hygiene is very good. Since it's a 1996 hotel, the rooms are a bit smaller compared to other five-star hotels. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's a good mix of Chinese and Western options, covering the basics. For the price, it offers great value for money! The staff's service was super good; they upgraded our room, and my parents were very satisfied.

Lena and Queena Li Dan's service saved the day, but the dinner experience was still absurd. Check-in: Five stars for Lena Yan. I arrived at 3 PM, and Lena at the front desk immediately recognized me as a regular. Check-in was done in 3 minutes, it was incredibly heartwarming. Duty Manager: Five stars for Queena Li Dan. I brought up the restaurant issues with her, and she immediately explained and empathized with me. Very satisfied. Dinner: I don't even want to give one star. At 7:30 PM, I followed the signs to the 7th-floor restaurant. The entrance was empty, not even a host stand was staffed. I walked in and after dozens of seconds, I finally found a server who told me, 'No tables available, please wait next door.' Then they directed me to a small, dimly lit room on the left, where I couldn't see anything. After waiting 10 minutes and being completely ignored, I just went back to my room and ordered takeout. The management level of your restaurant is like night and day compared to the front desk. Summary: For Lena and Queena Li Dan, I might stay here again. But unless the restaurant undergoes a complete overhaul, I will absolutely not step foot on the 7th floor again.

The breakfast was absolutely perfect 💯, really making up for the hotel's shortcomings in other areas. It's an older hotel, an established brand, so I guess the Ritz-Carlton Chengdu is a stark reminder to anyone hoping for a budget-friendly luxury stay. Being an older property, the decor and design are definitely dated and outmoded. The fact that the lobby is on the 25th floor already tells you the hotel's overall scale won't offer many surprises. The lobby and bar are on the same floor, which naturally lends a quieter atmosphere. The opulent decor feels out of step with current mainstream styles, creating a rather odd vibe. The room was standard for a five-star, with all the expected amenities. You could still see the signature Ritz royal flair, but the signs of age and the worn-out feel prevented me from truly appreciating the brand's concept. As for the pool and gym… let's just say I won't be commenting on them. The real highlight was breakfast: incredibly rich, professional, enticing, and thoughtfully prepared. All in all, for around 800 RMB a night at the Ritz, this is pretty much what you get. It's unrealistic to expect a 2000 RMB experience at that price point. However, it seems many five-star hotels across Chengdu suffer from similar issues of being old and dated, so I don't blame the hotel itself too much.

A St. Regis for a three-digit price per night is incredible value for money! Even though it's been open for over 10 years, the room amenities are still top-notch: a smart toilet, screen-mirroring TV, capsule coffee machine, electric curtains, and a spacious 60sqm room with a walk-in closet and a 2-meter king-size bed – everything you need. The butler service is very attentive; they proactively contacted me via WeChat the day before check-in to inform me about complimentary services, hotel restaurants, and fitness facilities. The snowflake shortbread served during turn-down service every night was absolutely delicious, and my butler, knowing I loved it, even made sure to leave extra in my room daily. After staying at the JW Marriott Chengdu Maoye, Grand Hyatt Chengdu, Hyatt Centric Chengdu, Shangri-La, and The Ritz-Carlton, the St. Regis still remains my top choice.

Good overall experience, the rooms here have a very interesting design, but there were some problems that I encountered. First of all, the room amenities included a city view, but actually there is just a small window placed very high, through which you cannot see anything else than a wall. In addition to that, the window does not even close, so I was constantly hearing noise from outside. Second, the sink did not function too well, resulting in a slow decreasing level of water, almost like it was clogged. Lastly, in the amenities included there was a minibar, snacks, soda drinks and instant food, all for free. The only things that were actually available were water, tea and some biscuits, which didn't quite fit what was written on Trip.
