This is my second visit to Chengdu, and my second stay at this hotel. The check-in process was seamless. The front desk staff, Xiao Zhang, was quick, efficient, and meticulous, helping us upgrade our room type. She even wrote down the breakfast floor and times on our room card. The cleaning auntie was also very attentive, providing an extra bottle of water due to the heat and covering our water glasses. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Crowne Plaza, split across two separate bookings of 2 nights each, and the experience throughout was consistently excellent. During our first check-in, Erin warmly welcomed us and provided welcome drink vouchers as well as tickets for the complimentary shuttle to the Panda Base—such a thoughtful touch that made our trip planning much easier. For our second check-in, we were assisted by a friendly young gentleman. When we mentioned that we had to leave early the next morning, he kindly arranged a takeaway breakfast for us. The next morning, we were pleasantly surprised by how generous and well-prepared it was—sandwiches, yogurt, fruits, eggs, and even a bottle of water. It truly showed the hotel’s attention to detail and care for their guests. We also had an issue with the zip on our luggage, and Cassie promptly arranged for maintenance staff to assist us. Although the zip couldn’t be repaired, we really appreciated the effort and quick response. A special mention to the housekeeping staff, especially Ah Fen, who kept our room spotlessly clean and ensured we always had sufficient bottles of water. Overall, this is a hotel with truly commendable customer service. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, thoughtful, and eager to help. Highly recommended for a comfortable and hassle-free stay!

The breakfast was absolutely perfect 💯, really making up for the hotel's shortcomings in other areas. It's an older hotel, an established brand, so I guess the Ritz-Carlton Chengdu is a stark reminder to anyone hoping for a budget-friendly luxury stay. Being an older property, the decor and design are definitely dated and outmoded. The fact that the lobby is on the 25th floor already tells you the hotel's overall scale won't offer many surprises. The lobby and bar are on the same floor, which naturally lends a quieter atmosphere. The opulent decor feels out of step with current mainstream styles, creating a rather odd vibe. The room was standard for a five-star, with all the expected amenities. You could still see the signature Ritz royal flair, but the signs of age and the worn-out feel prevented me from truly appreciating the brand's concept. As for the pool and gym… let's just say I won't be commenting on them. The real highlight was breakfast: incredibly rich, professional, enticing, and thoughtfully prepared. All in all, for around 800 RMB a night at the Ritz, this is pretty much what you get. It's unrealistic to expect a 2000 RMB experience at that price point. However, it seems many five-star hotels across Chengdu suffer from similar issues of being old and dated, so I don't blame the hotel itself too much.

This was my first stay at a St. Regis, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the WeChat butler was always online. Upon check-in, we were promptly offered drinks, snacks, and fruit. The room was exceptionally spacious, luxuriously decorated, and very well-maintained. Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of options, including some local Chengdu specialties. The hotel is about a 40-minute drive from Shuangliu Airport, and taxis make it easy to get around. It's also about a twenty-minute walk to Chunxi Road, making it a quiet oasis in a bustling area.

The rooms are clean and there's free parking available, with a garage height limit of 2.2 meters, which is very convenient for families on a road trip. When kids check in, the front desk proactively offers children's toothbrushes and slippers. The breakfast buffet has a great variety of options, and the timing is very well-arranged. Food is replenished quickly. The service is excellent, from the lobby manager to the front desk staff. Tables are also cleared very promptly after breakfast. Personally, I think the toiletries could be improved; it would be even better and more hygienic if disposable face towels and disposable mouthwash cups were provided.

Yulin Life Plaza and Tongzilin commercial area Chengdu|4.31km from city center
First Impression: The hotel looks grand upon arrival, but it was a bit unusual to see a sitting area placed in the main lobby. During check-in, there were ongoing preparations for a wine convention, and no safety barriers were set up. This could pose potential safety risks, especially for travellers with young children who may tend to move around freely. Housekeeping: The housekeeping service was excellent, and the room was maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness. Location: The hotel is located closer to the office district. I would recommend staying in the Chunxi area instead, as it offers a wider variety of nightlife and activities. Pricing & Policy: Trip advertises a lowest price guarantee, stating that they will match any lower rate found for the same room and dates. Unfortunately, this policy was not honoured in my case. I found a lower rate for the same room and period just one hour after making my booking, based on the assurance of their guarantee.

The location is superb, right across from IFS with the panda butt view, which is fantastic. The public facilities, ambiance, and attention to detail are excellent. I tried the pool and gym, both were great, and there's a hot tub. The breakfast was quite varied, and the freshly baked croissants were delicious 😋. The only downside is that the room's decor and amenities feel a bit dated; the Bose speaker connection didn't work, and the TV wasn't smart. Despite that, it was clean and overall very good.
