As a husband and a father, I don’t just look for comfort—I look for peace of mind. This hotel delivered both. Service was fast, thoughtful, and genuinely warm. Everything was clean, organized, and effortless, which matters when you’re traveling with family. The environment feels premium yet welcoming, not stiff. My family felt safe, relaxed, and well taken care of from the moment we arrived. Location is a huge win—surrounded by some of the best food Chengdu has to offer, with easy access everywhere. This isn’t just a place to sleep. It’s a place where a family can truly rest. Classy, reliable, and worth every cent.

The room was very dry and tidy, completely unlike the dampness I had expected. Customer service representative Xiao Zhao was also very enthusiastic and patient, providing excellent service. The breakfast had a rich variety, and both my child and I ate very well. The only downside was the lobby on the first floor; the perfume smell was too strong. My husband and I both felt it was an unusually strong scent. Everything else was truly exceptional!

I recently stayed at the Grand ParcVue Hotel Residence Chengdu for a day, and it was the highlight of my trip! The location is absolutely unbeatable—right in the heart of the city near Tianfu Square and just a 5-minute walk to the Jinjiang Hotel Metro Station. The room was massive and felt like a luxury apartment, complete with a full kitchen and a washer/dryer, which was a lifesaver for a quick traveler! I spent my morning at the gorgeous indoor pool and grabbed a delicious breakfast at Vinos before heading out. The staff were incredibly attentive and even helped me with local tips. The hotel is centrally located, making it extremely convenient to get around. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, greeting me at every step of the check-in process. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. What truly set this stay apart was the thoughtful personal touch. Abin from Guest Relations (I believe his Chinese name is Li Kai) left me a handwritten note along with a small gift, which was a very pleasant and meaningful surprise. The housekeeping staff also wrote a kind note for me—unfortunately, I was unable to recognize his name from the note, but the gesture itself was deeply appreciated. These small yet sincere acts made me feel genuinely warm, special, and truly welcomed. This level of care reflects the high standards and heartfelt hospitality that The Ritz-Carlton is known for.

Yulin Life Plaza and Tongzilin commercial area Chengdu|4.31km from city center
The location is great, very close to Tongzilin subway station. Line 1 goes directly to Wenshu Monastery and Chengdu South Station, which is super convenient. The hotel has a constant-temperature swimming pool and a warm-water soaking pool. I went twice and had them almost to myself, which was fantastic for a family of three who love to swim. The room isn't huge, but it's clean and sufficient, and the TV supports screen mirroring, which is very handy. There are two minor points that aren't exactly flaws: 1. The hallway scent in the hotel is a bit too strong. 2. Even with the AC/heater off, the duvet was still too warm; taking it off made it cold, which was a bit awkward.

This InterContinental hotel maintains a high international standard. I had booked it for three consecutive days and was planning to leave, but then my friend decided to visit Chengdu too, so I canceled my tickets and took a taxi back to stay here again. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the amenities were excellent. Upon check-in, we received complimentary fruit and children's toiletries. They have a laundry room, which was incredibly convenient after being on the road for half a month; my clothes were washed and dried in just ten minutes. The breakfast greeters were also very friendly, proactively offering baby utensils and asking if we'd like egg custard. High chairs were available. The variety of food was extensive and delicious. The room was clean and hygienic. There are many restaurants right downstairs, and Chunxi Road is about a one-kilometer walk away, offering a nice stroll with plenty to see along the way.

I'm not sure if the negative reviews are from competitors trying to badmouth them. This is my third stay here, and after comparing many places, I still prefer this one. The front desk service is excellent; they knew I was traveling alone with two kids and immediately switched us to a room with a view of 'pandas climbing the wall.' The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. They cleaned the room daily and restocked water and drinks. The shower isn't a hot water heater type; there's hot water 24 hours a day. The breakfast is varied and delicious. Chunxi Road is right downstairs, which is very convenient. When I came in winter, the floor heating kept the room warm, not cold at all. Highly recommend!

I booked the nearest hotel when I came to Wenshu Monastery to worship Buddha. Before booking, I was a bit worried about the environment and the room after reading some reviews. However, after checking in, I found my worries were unnecessary. Although the room is in an old building, the details inside still show thoughtfulness. The air conditioning was already turned up warm when I entered, the bedding was clean and tidy, and the pillows were high-pressure elastic pillows (this is very important!). The toilet even had disposable seat covers. The room's arrangement made me feel at ease as soon as I walked in. Business District/The area around the Twin Towers Chengdu|8.34km from city center
Location: The hotel is a bit out of the way, about a 30-minute taxi ride from Chunxi Road. However, the surrounding area offers excellent amenities, including shopping malls, bars, and a wide variety of dining options. Concierge: A special shout-out to the concierge team! Every staff member I encountered was highly professional, intuitive, and attentive to guests' needs. Absolutely excellent service. Fitness Facilities: The pool is quite nice, and the gym is incredibly well-equipped! They have everything from body composition analyzers to Pilates equipment, which is more extensive than what you'd typically find at a Ritz or JW Marriott. The staff there are also very good. Dining: The lobby bar and the rooftop bar are both fantastic. They have a distinct nightclub vibe, offering a unique and refreshing experience. The drinks are quite good too, definitely worth checking out and sampling. The breakfast restaurant, however, is pretty standard. It offers everything you'd expect, with a food selection and service level typical for a hotel of this caliber. Now for a major criticism: **Room Service**! It was incredibly, unbelievably bad! The Dan Dan noodles were ridiculously salty – I have no idea how they managed to make them that way. The Saliva Chicken was very fishy and simply inedible. Room service gets a massive thumbs down from me. What's more, when the staff came to collect the dishes afterward, they didn't even bother to wipe the grease off the table. Honestly, out of all the hotels I've stayed at, this was by far the worst room service food. This aspect truly needs significant improvement. Overall, despite the room service issue, my stay was quite good. The housekeeping staff were very friendly, and both the front desk and concierge teams are mostly young and very energetic. The hotel has a vibe quite similar to a W Hotel. Although some online comments criticize Chengdu's W as being subpar, my actual experience here was rather positive. Aside from the utterly disappointing room service, everything else was perfectly satisfactory.

I'm usually quite lazy and rarely leave reviews for hotels, but this place genuinely impressed me. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. When we mentioned we were tourists, they immediately offered a brochure detailing various sightseeing routes, which we found very helpful (we even snapped a photo!). As it was our first time in Chengdu, we were unsure where to eat, and they enthusiastically recommended some fantastic local eateries; the food they suggested was indeed delicious. With all the nearby *chuanchuan* (Sichuan skewers), Sichuan cuisine, and hotpot, we came back to the hotel one evening smelling distinctly of hotpot. Wanting to get some early rest, we asked the front desk if they could help dry our clothes and return them to our room the next morning. They agreed without a moment's hesitation, which was incredibly thoughtful and considerate. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was also delicious, especially the *chaoshou* (Sichuan wontons). The staff in the restaurant were very attentive and provided great service too. Our initial reason for booking this hotel was its geographical location, and it truly lived up to our expectations. It's perfectly situated, very close to all the major attractions such as Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Kuanzhai Alley, Wenshu Monastery, Wuhou Shrine, Jinli Ancient Street, and more. Overall, it was an extremely satisfying travel experience. Chengdu, with its vibrant city atmosphere and rich cultural environment, left a wonderful impression on us.
