5.The Launceston Steam

Journey back in time at the Bodmin and Wenford Railway and experience the glorious era of steam travel on Cornwall’s only full size railway still operated by steam locomotives. Passenger train services operate between February and December and run daily through the summer with many themed journeys and special events. Bodmin General has car parking facilities for our passengers. This FREE car park is sited directly adjacent to the station and available for the exclusive use of our own visitors and staff. Steamers Cafe at Bodmin General Station is open on all train operating days – serving a good variety of hot and cold drinks, Cornish Pasties, sausage rolls, freshly cut sandwiches, cakes, snacks and sweets.
