Recently stayed overnight for a wedding we were attending at the hotel. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. We received a free upgrade and the rooms were spotless.
Breakfast the following morning was more than adequate with the option of a full scottish along with an array of food for a continental breakfast.

We had lunch on Christmas Day at the Norwood. The food was delicious, the waiting staff were all very friendly and efficient and we had a lovely afternoon. We'll definitely be back to eat there soon, such a lovely venue which we need to support

Stayed here over a month in July. Was a wonderful place to explore Aberdeen, Deeside and Speyside. The hotel is situated in central Aberdeen just off Union street. It’s s new property in a pedestrian area with a parking area below. Unfortunately the parking area is a) hard to get to (mapping software such as Google maps cannot find it) and b) not directly linked to the hotel ( staff can access the area outside the parking garage if access elevator access is required - just buzz the hotel and ask). Not sure at all why it was designed this way as it’s a simple change of doors to allow customer access to the hotel with a key card, and still allow staff access to their restricted areas. Customer service at the hotel was excellent in all areas: front-desk, bar staff, restaurant and housekeeping - impressive. Room was comfortable if a little compact compared to some Residence Inns. The room lacked a few cooking dishes/ items. None appeared to be available on-request. Breakfast was great with an extensive selection plus additional items available to order. Cooking is easy as easy to prepare meals & groceries are very easy to stock as there is a Marks& Spencer food hall less than 100 yards/meters away.

The hotel is well located but we had difficulty finding it as there isn't much signage. We should have looked at the very top of the tall building to see the Marriott logo! Parking at the hotel is limited, so I rang them before arriving in the UK and they advised that we should park at the Bon Accord shopping centre and they would validate our token so that we would get a discount. I think that we paid 10 pounds per night which is the discounted rate. The room are very clean and pleasant. Breakfast (free) also was very good. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as museums and other places of interest within a walking distance. The added bonus was the availability of laundry facilities with free detergent etc at the hotel 24 hours a day. We took advantage of the service. We paid 255 pounds for two nights which we though was reasonable. Overall, a good experience. This hotel gets 4.5 stars from me and I recommend it.

Shame there's a £10 fee for checking in early. A bit dated but clean + functional room. Friendly staff - when I asked for more milk they asked if I needed anything else topping up. Also a friendly welcome given at breakfast. Good central location.

Long overdue review that is actually the culmination of multiple return visits which is testament in itself to the hotel itself, value for money, the staff attentiveness and level of service, hotel amenities and central but quiet location which is ideal for striking out across Aberdeen and the NE of Scotland. From booking process, pre arrival correspondence, arrival and check in, personalised room preparation and amenities as standard, very spacious and spotless room itself, relaxed drink in the bar at night and fantastic breakfast every morning to effortless checkout, couldn't fault anything. We stayed here for 2 nights as a family whilst my husband was working. The entrance to the hotel was lovely, a beautiful aroma in the air and very helpful staff on the reception. On entrance to the lifts, everything seemed clean and fresh. The rooms were large. We had a double and a single bed, and still had plenty room for a pram and our bags. The shower was powerful and hot which was lovely and fresh towels each day. There was a kettle with plenty tea/coffee to choose from. The beds were comfortable. There was a heating/air con remote however regardless of what we did, the room cooled at night time, waking our little one who likes to be snug as a bug. After night one, I left the room for it to be made up and although the room was cleaned - the bed was “thrown”together the way I could have done it myself. None of the covers were “tidied” under, making it like a fresh bed again for that evening which was disappointing. There were also a number of marks on the bathroom tiles and up on the ceiling which could have easily been sprayed and wiped down, I’m sure. Perhaps a little more attention to detail with certain things. There was an ice machine on our floor - didn’t work. However reception brought some up for us which was good. There is a lovely large bar area on entrance to the hotel. I was looking for somewhere to have a coffee on day 1 however was informed I could only have takeaway coffee as they didn’t open until noon. I found this a bit strange as there were a lot of business people with laptops who were instead sat on the couches outside the bar area when in fact, they could have had a comfortable seat with a coffee in the bar area. Maybe something to think about? It’s a shame as I had met up with a group of 6 of us plus our kids and we would have all ordered food and drink but instead had to make our way to Starbucks.From₩ 87,358

Stayed at the Premier inn Aberdeen city centre as a solo traveller. Felt very safe, you get exactly what is advertised on tv, spacious room, very comfy bed, flat screen tv, tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast is a separate cost, either continental at £7.99 or unlimited continental and cooked breakfast at £9.99. If you want to check in before 3pm, it’s only £10 and well worth it. Walking distance to the sights of Aberdeen, bus station and railway station. If taking the bus (no. 727) from Aberdeen airport, get off at Marischal College as that is the closest bus stop.SOLD OUT

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for business and pleasure trip. We had booked a double room with breakfast. Upon arrival, I noticed that the staff were wearing masks, established that they had a COVID case, some staff members were sick thus there was no bar or restaurant service. We were given room 211, it was filthy, went back to reception and given another room. Had to wait ages and as there was only one lift that operated at snail speed. Again, the second room was very basic, small, dated, small tight bathroom, very warm as the heater was full on and it did not match the photographs on Mercure website. I have stayed at other Mercure hotels before but this was something else. No bathrobes, no fancy bed coverings as in the illustrated pictures. This is NOT a four-star hotel as claimed, three stars maximum. There is a safe. Tea and coffee making facilities that do not get replenished biscuits on the first night only. Double bed that was smaller in comparison to other hotels. The TV has Freeview channels of which some did not work. No proper desk to work on. At night-time, there is so much noise from outside. This hotel needs modernising and a good clean. No wonder the hotel had a COVID case as the cleaning standards are low. Breakfast was average, sausages undercooked, eggs overcooked, not much choice of the cold section, no rolls only bread and limited fruit. Transport: From Aberdeen airport catch the 727 to Union Square which has the central bus station and railway station. It is a ten-minute walk to the hotel. Transport system is good but there was a rail strike on one of the days. The hotel is in a good location. There are lots of local places to eat especially at Union Square.From₩ 68,868

On arriving at reception to check in on Saturday, the reception staff found that I had booked the room for previous night [Friday] and this had in turn been documented as a No Show. The staff were helpful in offering an alternative room- there were no Stanard King Rooms left for the Saturday Night, only the Apartment Suites. We thanked them and left, stating we would try and find something else. Naturally, I became upset on leaving after making such a mistake- When outside heading back to the car, the Booking Manager (i think his name was Barry) approached us and said he would have a look and see if he could help. He was able to move our booking from the Friday to the Saturday for no extra cost, and also upgraded us to the Apartment Suite free of charge. We were so grateful and appreciative for his help and he saved our weekend so we could continue to celebrate my Birthday as we had planned. The room was spacious and comfortable with a kitchenette, bathroom with over bath shower, king size bed and a fridge amongst the facilities available. 5 stars all roundFrom₩ 92,830

This is a nice hotel in a great location near Union street in the city of Aberdeen.The Wi-Fi was ok.The staff are really friendly and the room was clean and tidy.The bed was very comfortable.The bathroom in the room has a step to go in and out.Which I thought was a bit of a hazard.Breakfast was fairly good with hot and cold food.Overall a good stay and a great price as in the city of Aberdeen.The cleaning Staff were friendly too.From₩ 69,811

Stayed on 1st Oct for an overnight stay whilst visiting the P&J. The man on reception who checked us in barely spoke a word. Noticed the few couples in front getting complimentary drinks and we were not offered (oh well). Room was fine but was rather dusty, however when you pay £48 for a room I wasn’t expecting glam. Stains in the sinks & toilet, uncomfortable bed and only 1 pillow for a double bed. Once in bed realised the bedding was ripped on the underside - therefore cleaners tried to hide it. Was quite a cold sleep in the end.. Decided to grab a bite to eat down in the bar. Lady at bar forgot to put on a pizza (flavoured bread) for our table therefore one party member was left waiting an extra 25 mins when she promised “5” . Therefore we were nearly late for our show. Upon checkout again it was slow, however when checking my bank account when I had already got home, I’d been charged twice for the room even though my receipt says for 1 only. Was charged £10 for parking even though signs say £5. Was given no explanation from reception staff. Trying to contact the hotel for refund but can’t get through (not surprised). Will keep trying!! Shame because the hotel looks nice & quirky however you do get what you pay for and no more.From₩ 85,849
