My friends and I came to Intercontinental Alpensia because we got a really good deal and expected to experience snow right at the resort. The snow arrived a bit later than we hoped but honestly, we still had such a good time! The room was lovely, the weather was perfectly chilly (sometimes too cold.. so come prepared!) and we were lucky to catch real snow at Mount Balsangwan by taking the cable car at nearby resort (Mona Yongpyeong)
We have to give a huge shout out to the in-room dining service; the Beef Risotto and Frutti di Mare Pasta were soooo good. Truly delicious!
The whole area is so pretty and calm, especially with the Christmas vibe when we visited. Everything felt cozy and magical. We definitely plan to return! ❄️💙FromSAR 418

The walk to the ski slopes isn't particularly close, and breakfast is served at the adjacent hotel building (accessible via an underground passage). Our room was on the second floor, which was actually lower than the road next to it, so there was no view. The room had heated floors but no slippers. My mom and I booked Kensington Hotel Pyeongchang for our first night in Pyeongchang during our trip to Gangwon-do.
From the moment we checked in, the staff's friendliness was truly impressive. It was our first visit, and the hotel made a fantastic first impression! Every staff member we encountered, whether in the lobby or the cafe, was incredibly kind and helpful.
The room and bedding were impeccably clean, allowing us to rest comfortably. The bathroom was also spotless, and the water pressure for the shower was excellent.
The garden was beautifully maintained, so even though we were tired after visiting Daegwallyeong Ranch and Odaesan Mountain, we still took the time to explore it. The garden is quite spacious and perfect for a leisurely stroll.
We also noticed the swimming pool. Although we didn't use it, it looked like a great spot for kids to play.

Nice place to stay. Very close to Mona Yongpyong Ski Resort. Nice view. Ample parking space. Spacious Room. Ondol room can fit 6 people. Kitchenette provided for cooking. There was an issue with our toilet where the toilet bowl is clogged. When we contact the front desk, they promptly send a staff to fix the toilet. The hotel is beautiful. There are nice restaurants within the hotel compound so you do not need to go anywhere. The view from the balcony was amazing (slop view). Amenities sufficient, room spacious. We took 2 of these rooms since we were 2 adults and 2 kids (12 years old). The beds are super single and 2 ppl sleeping on a bed is do-able or there is loads of space for an additional bed.
We didn't have bfast but a lot of restaurants and a CU within the hotel compound.
A word of advice, if you are coming from Seoul, stop at JINBU STATION and not Pyeongchang station. We made a mistake of going to Pyeongchang station which is far away and the cab will cost krw 60,000 per way. Jinbu station is just 5 minutes away.FromSAR 206

It was the off-season (summer) and a quiet trip from Monday to Thursday, just before the peak holiday rush, with a bit of rain.
The hotel front desk was unstaffed after 5 PM, so on the first night, with a late check-in, it was an automatic process. This meant we couldn't request extra bedding (even though we had contacted them beforehand, but since we didn't meet staff directly, the request was missed) – the room key was a keypad code. For the summer season, I'd recommend staying in the condos instead; it seemed like there were always staff at the condo front desk.
Perhaps because it was the off-season, but our room wasn't cleaned once during our 3-night, 4-day stay at the hotel. They said cleaning would happen on the 4th day. If requested, they would collect used towels, and they left two bottles of water outside our door daily.
Pyeongchang itself seemed to be on summer vacation, with many restaurants and museums closed. Nevertheless, the beautiful mountain scenery and fresh air make me want to visit again.FromSAR 51

This is our second time staying at this property. We really enjoyed ourselves. We love that our apartment was just above the ski house which made it very convenient. The hotel only provides hand towels. They would charge 1000 won per bath towel.

The location is convenient , it s just 5 mins drive from Phoenix snow park. Hotel provide free parking.
It has CU market, Breakfast restaurant, room service.
The room are equipped with cuckoo water dispenser and Coffee machine (although most of the time the cleaner forgot to refill coffee capsules).
Basically everything are good if you are looking for a peaceful ski holiday. Family suite room types are perfect for family with children, as it comes with 2 separated bathrooms and toilets. You don’t need to queue up for shower and toilets.FromSAR 153

The room is exactly the same as in the photo, very clean and odorless, the floor is clean and warm when you walk barefoot, the bathroom has a bidet, there is a kitchen available, and the service staff is very friendly. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the ski resort by car. There are convenience stores and restaurants downstairs. It is about 20 minutes away from Zhenfu KTX.FromSAR 157

The place is good, 7 minutes to ski and has a supermarket and eatery place nearby.
Honestly the room is nice, with cooking facilities but the owner was not friendly at all.
The toilet was stuck and leak they came with only the plunger and ask us settle ourself.
Is winter and we came with kids, the kids built a snowman and they destroyed the snowman after we went for ski trip.
We are a group of 10 and we wanted to cook our dinner. There is a small hut with table and chair and BBQ facilities, we ask to BBQ facilities (We are willing to pay, 10,000 won as stated) but she said is winter so we can’t use the BBQ pit, ended up we use the stove to cook up the meat.
The husband and wife came in to the huts and told us we can’t do BBQ but we explained to her we just cook the meat and we didn’t do any BBQ. We left the place with cleaner than we came in. I have to WhatsApp her and show her the place is cleaned.
The warn us that we must left the place by 1am but in fact all of us finished eh 9.30pm every day since we are tired from Ski.
During the last day, they came to us and I was thinking they come and say goodbye but they just make sure we throw every single piece of rubbish outside the house.
My husband wear shoe and just step to take our luggage and the owner insist us to take out the shoe before we went in to the house. Although we have explained, we just step in and take the luggage and go, he insisted us to take out the shoes.
I have been travelling all around the world and we do understand every cultural is different but as the operator of tourist industry, the owner has to be service minded. If you can’t accept any international travellers then please do not list your place in any platform or put up a notice that international tourist is not permitted to stay there and we won’t book accordingly.
Is such a shame to see this happened to us after our 5th trip to Korea and our 3rd trip to Pyeongchang for ski.FromSAR 176

Отель очень понравился. Место спокойное, тихое, идеально подходит для отдыха. Хозяева замечательные — добрые, отзывчивые и всегда готовы помочь.
Единственный небольшой минус — отель находится далековато от горнолыжного курорта, но этот момент полностью решён: с такси всё отлично организовано. Человек приезжает, забирает и отвозит обратно, поэтому никаких неудобств не возникает.
Если вы хотите провести время с друзьями в уединённой, спокойной атмосфере, среди природы — это именно то место. Номера чистые и аккуратные, на кухне есть абсолютно вся необходимая посуда, можно без проблем готовить самостоятельно.
