We had a nice clean appartement which was very spacious. The bed is really good, very soft and we slept like babies. Bathroom was nothing special but clean which is the most important thing. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side. (8,- for 2 small orange juice). The staff was friendly. We would’ve liked to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked. The only downside was the 100,- borg that has to be payed with creditcard as we didn’t have one but we got the appartement anyway. I recommended this place to others if they’re looking to relaxed without the screams from tourists. If you read this as a tourist please keep this beautiful island clean and show your respect. Rated as 4 star on TUI but this is anything but. This resort was recommended to us by a friend but wished I’d gone elsewhere. To start this cost nearly £3500 for a family of 3 (two adults and a 3 year old) for a week in May (not during a school holiday) so not cheap, we had paid an extra £350+ to have 2 bedrooms, and I had pre requested a quiet room on an upper floor. We wanted 2 bedrooms and this was the most expensive room they have and yet it is located next to the main road on the ground floor (not a quiet room as requested) and has no sea view even though there’s dozens of rooms with sea views, The main bedroom was fine except it was quite windy and the wind howled the the gaps around the window, this kept me awake 1 night but I fixed it by stuffing tissue around the frame, and both bedrooms had no ceiling light so made the both very dark, especially at night. The second bedroom only had a single bed in it and small bed size table, there was plenty of space for a large wardrobe or desk or anything, the wardrobe however was in the living/dining area, such a waste of space and made the room feel inadequate. The apar**ent itself was mostly fine besides it was very basic and the bathroom needed a big makeover, it had several cracked wall tiles, the bath tap/shower mixer was loose and came away from the wall, the shower head was a small cheap rose, there was mould in a few places around the small shower screen the leaked over the floor and the mirror needs binning as the edges all the way round are coming away and as moisture has taken its toll. The restaurant was ok, location under the resort wasn’t very welcoming and felt more like a cafe, there was some seating outside but not a lot not, staff were always friendly, the food was never hot, even if you got there at opening which we did having a toddler, the food for children was very much always the same and my son had pasta pretty much every day. Pools were nice enough but quite cramped with so many sun beds squeezed next to each other, there are signs everywhere and even in the paper map of the resort saying “reserving beds is prohibited” and will be removed but this was never enforced as loads reserved before breakfast was even open. The park is a no go, it’s kind of neglected and in a run down area behind the supermarket, the playground is basically one big climbing frame with a slide but whatever joined the 2 sections together is missing, so you can climb up the main steps but they go nowhere and you have to come back down, the side with the slide has a vertical climbing frame to get up but this is impossible for a toddler, hence why I said a no go. Finally the location is right next to the beach which is nice but besides 2 supermarkets, a cafe and a couple of restaurants there is nothing within walking distance making it feel very cut off unless you catch taxis of course. All in all I will definitely not be returning here as I’ve stayed in plenty of much better 4 star hotels, that

Rooms cleaned 5 out of 7 days. Mostly adults as no entertainment. Friendly helpful staff. I traveled alone so was happy for all the help they give me. Booking soon to go back.

t a 4* hotel in the slightest, resembles a modern Butlins if anything. I had read disappointing reviews but put it down to customer being picky , however after my experience I’ve learnt that the bad reviews were actually humble. My experience with Elba was extremely disappointing & here are the following reasons why: Staff: * Check in was disappointing, room was not ready so we had to wait, in the mean time the receptionist didn’t point out the facilities etc so my family and I wondered around ourselves to get familiar with the hotel. * They are understaffed and overworked. The staff are clearly not trained as none of the bar staff could make a cocktail, it was quite clear that they delegated the staff anywhere on the day. * Some staff were really friendly & some were extremely rude. * On day one the cleaning staff burst into my room whilst I was asleep, 0 apology for not knocking and waking me up and proceeded to leave my door wide open and walk away. A few seconds later the cleaning staff threw a chair into my room and shut the door. * Management were friendly however not efficient, I complained three times about the cleanliness of my room, they eventually moved me on the 3rd day of my trip. However I had to constantly chase up my complaint in order to see a resolution. Cleanliness: * I had to move rooms because the condition of the room was unacceptable. Lime scale on the shower taps and mould on the ceiling and shower screen due to the lack of ventilation. Ants crawling on the wall and silicone peeling off around the sink. * The ball pit for kids was DISGUSTING. The balls were covered in black dirt and mould. * The bed sheets had multiple stains on them and also a clump of hair. * The cutlery was constantly sticky and greasy along with their cups and plates. * The restaurant by the pool was disgusting. The tables & were ALWAYS dirty and covered in food. I witnessed a waiter place new cutlery and tissue on the tables and ignore the left over food on the tables. I never saw the tables wiped down. Food: * food was limited in option and served as a buffet. * The white rice on the Asian themed night was half uncooked. This completely put me off trying any seafood. * drinks were also limited to three cocktails served in a slushy machine. Other than that the staff did not know how to make any cocktails nor did the restaurant serve Prosecco * Breakfast however was nice. Amenities * no iron or board * No bottled water in the mini fridge * Had to pay to use the safe * Had to pay to use the spajacuzzi facilities

Just got back from a lovely 2 weeks here. Only reason I gave 4* is because one outdoor pool was supposed to be heated and it wasn’t (they were freezing). Also check in was a bit confusing re deposits, remotes, keys and towels & then they tried to make out that we didn’t pay a deposit when we returned them. Got sorted in the end though. Rooms are basic but clean. Beds are comfy. Hotel grounds are immaculate. Indoor pool lovely and warm (adults only). Had some ants in the room, told reception who soon sorted them. Didn’t eat in the hotel but you can pay on the day of you want to, the food looked lovely. 10 min stroll to the beach, 20 min to the Marina & 15 mins to the main *****. It’s 3* so if you want 5* don’t go here. I can’t wait to go back!

We’ve just got back from a week at the Princess Yaiza - our first visit to Lanzarote. Overall a great week away, but definitely not the best 5 star hotel I’ve stayed in. The hotel is in a lovely location, right on the beach and close to the marina and restaurants. We actually found it very windy within the hotel complex - a lot more windy than outside so it felt colder at times especially if the weather was overcast. The hotel does say that the pools are heated however they still felt relatively cold and a lot of people weren’t in them until afternoon- particularly on the days when it wasn’t warmer till 3ish. The children’s facilities are great. Our 3 year old loved the soft play and the parks in Kikoland and the staff were very friendly and welcoming! We also loved size of the rooms we just had a standard suite but felt we had a lot of room for the 3 of us with the lounge area being separate and nice size terrace. Food I would say was pretty average. Breakfast was fine; lots of choice. Evening buffet wasn’t too bad but I found options for children quite limited - mainly just pizza chips chicken nuggets etc. we did the teppanyaki restaurant which was good & would recommend doing the a la cartes over the buffet although an extra charge even if half board!

Just got back from our week at the Hotel Rubicon Palace, having stayed previously in 2019. This time my husband and I were accompanied by our four year old and 10 month old baby - it was our first trip abroad as parents and we had high hopes following our previous trip. There's much to like about this hotel - the grounds and the public areas of the hotel are all very well kept, the staff are generally friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed the buffet and the a la carte restaurants. Our four year old adored the mini club and all the activities. And he had the time of his life in the children's pool. We had a few minor issues during the week - having to change rooms due to bugs, key card not working, etc, but we were able to sort these with the help of the staff. The reason I'm writing this review (and I almost never write reviews) is that I was so so disappointed with the cleanliness of the baby club. Our ten month old is too young for the activities which are for 1-3 year olds, but he's very mobile so I was really looking forward to taking him to the baby play area so that he could play safely each day. However, it was FILTHY and I didn't feel that we could safely use the facility. The staff there were lovely, and clearly wonderful with the babies and toddlers, but there appears to be zero cleaning protocol for the baby club. One of the baby walkers had dirt encrusted around all the buttons, and each toy had a thin layer of grime all over it - including every ball in the ball pit. Now I get that babies are yucky creatures, and it's hard to keep things clean - but this level of dirt looks like it has been accumulating for YEARS. Has no-one really complained about this in all this time? Or have people complained, and the hotel has so little regard for its youngest visitors that it has done nothing about it? I know the management read these reviews and respond.... for me, the only acceptable response will be to tell me that you're closing the baby club for a day or two to do a thorough deep clean of all the surfaces and toys. And that the baby club will get cleaned as regularly as all the other parts of the hotel going forward. And if parents are reading this before their holiday, and they arrive to find the baby club is still in such a poor state - please raise it with management! They cannot claim ignorance of this anymore. Our babies deserve better than this.

A wonderful trip to celebrate 40years of friendship with my best friend. We stayed in a Club room overlooking the pool and sea with a large balcony. The facilities in Club were excellent and well worth the extra cost. The staff were attentive wherever we went and in particular we enjoyed the fun provided by Zakaria at afternoon tea and evening drinks. His “five minutes drinking time left” (when there was at least an hour or more remaining) made everyone smile. He suggested recipes for different cocktails at the evening free bar and always asked after everyone’s day. We could not fault the hotel. We didn’t use the pool area as we had trips out and enjoyed walking over the cliffs to Papagaya beach (sandy cove with lovely soft yellow sand). It always looked relaxing and there was a quiet peace about it. Next time I might try a pool session. Lots of restaurants around but with afternoon tea included and a few snacks with our evening drink we didn’t feel hungry enough to sample many!

This hotel is to be recommended ! Delightful apartments and bungalows set in lovely gardens the complex was full but you would never know ! I have never been to a place more peaceful , it feels more like a group of private villas and apartments , the staff are a delight the whole place is spotless the only tiny gripe we had ( and this is nit - picking ) was the fact there was no fan in the bathroom , the kitchen was well equipped to rustle up snacks with induction hob small range of pans , toaster and micro wave oven , the thing I really must stress is the peacefulness of the place perfect for unwinding , taxis are a little less abundant at this end of town but you you can summon them from reception even a day in advance ,the arena bar resultant part of the complex serves great good as does the pool bar .All in all a most pleasurable experience .

First time staying in a H10 hotel and overall we were really impressed. All over the hotel is lovely and clean Staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble Good location. Short walk to the seafront, the harbour or Playa Blanca All inclusive drinks were brand spirits and good measures Food was varied. Italian restaurant was lovely. Pool bar had a good menu for lunch or snacks. If you go to the buffet restaurant at the end of each service the food is lacking. It’s colder and been stood out for longer. Room was spacious with aircon. We were at the back of the hotel so overlooked the car park but it was quiet. Room cleaned daily. They provide shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Also in the bathroom is a hairdryer which is ok for short hair but you have to hold the button on. Toothbrush, shave kit and tissues also provided. Bottled water and drinks in the fridge when we arrived but they are not replenished. You can buy a bottle from reception for 4 euros that you can fill from the water machines around. The bed was huge and comfy. And the sitting area was spacious and sofa was comfy. The TV has only news channels in English. There is entertainment in the daytime by the pool. Singers, DJs etc. evening entertainment varied. Some excellent and some hilariously bad. One pool was heated but the other freezing. But small so ok for a dip but not for swimming. Not a huge amount of parasols for shade but we managed to find somewhere to sit each day and a parasol when we needed it. The spa is lovely. I had a massage and it was very good and relaxing.
