Ca Amadi is lovely and very Venetian. It was previously owned by Marco Polo's family and Marco himself may have once lived there. It's near the Rialto bridge, but hard to find - in a courtyard down a narrow street. We printed instructions for getting there from both the train station and the Rialto bridge on Google Maps. This was a big help. Due to the overwhelming number of tourists trying to take the vaporetto, we ended up walking there from the train station which took about 20 minutes. The hotel is on the second floor and has no elevator. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom was modern and elegant. Breakfast was delicious. Great restaurants in easy walking distance.

It is ideally located a few minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge and the pier leading to Marco Polo International Airport, close to the main attractions of the city. Breakfast is acceptable, although there are not many types, but it can still meet the general requirements, especially recommended hot milk from the coffee machine. The rooms are small, especially the bathroom, and the furnishings are old, but the service is in place and the sanitation is acceptable. The restaurant that comes with the hotel can be tried, the taste and price are good, and the tenants can also discount.

Hotel Bartolomeo was home for 2 nights while in Venice and what a delight it was. Minutes from Rialto bridge, just off Campo San Bartolomeo where the statue is , look for the sign for the WC , past the ATM & bank on the corner and down Calle dell Orso to where the hotel is located. It’s so easy to get lost in Venice but there is always something to see around every corner. Checkin was pretty quick, passports copied and CC had already been authorized in advance so it was only the city tax of €8 to pay. Room was on the 3rd floor facing the street and apartments opposite but it was perfectly quiet , you did not hear anything at night or in the morning. The room was a good size, spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. Plenty of space for everything. The bed was very comfortable, the wifi worked really well. Bathroom was a little narrow but very clean but perfect for the 2 nights. Easy to use shower . The AC was great and kept the room lovely and cool in the September sun. Everything was very modern and what you would expect in a chain hotel so top marks to Hotel Bartolomeo for providing such high standards in a 2* hotel. Due to covid, there was no help yourself breakfast buffet, instead you were given a bread & croissant basket with a menu so you could order coffee, juice ham & cheese or hardboiled eggs, fruit , yoghurts & cereal. Plenty of choice and all included if you book the rate on their website direct. The seating in the breakfast room was a little low but you were not there for very long. The staff were all great , friendly and happy especially the breakfast lady ( sorry I cannot remember her name) she also made up the rooms, she was fun ! I really liked the hotel & would not hesitate in staying there again and I will recommend it to anyone who is thinking of going to Venice. The location is perfect, right in the middle of everywhere. Bar Bacarando was right next door and handy for a night cap or spritz before heading out for the day / night and very , very reasonable prices for a bar in Venice !

The hotel Is located in the best part of Venice. Walking distance from Rialto Bridge and Ca’Do’Ro. San Marco is at 15 min walk. 5 min distance walk. We had a beautiful room with Gran Canal View. Even if it is located in the most crowded aerea of the city, the hotel and rooms are very quiet. The staff was very kind and assisted us with all of our questions and needs.

Arrived early last Friday at this hotel we had booked as a package, all great on arrival as they allowed us to check in early but advised there was a radiator that needed to be fitted and would be done by actual check in time at 2pm which was fine as we was just dropping our bags. To our shock we were then lead out the hotel front door down a small alley which had to be unlocked by reception and into some doors and Into a wooden elevator. On entering the room (we booked a basic room) we were horrified to discover we had been given a SOFA BED when this definitely was not stated anywhere at the time of booking! After checking my paperwork and the website I went down to reception straight away to be told all basic rooms have a sofa bed and the one we was in was the best they had and that they have had no complaints about it. Leaving it at that we popped out for a couple of hours not wanting to waste the day and returned after 2 to find the radiator still in the middle of the floor in a mess not yet fitted, the room freezing cold and the bed was so uncomfortable to sit on there was no way we could sleep on it! After ringing my agent they had been trying to contact the hotel to confirm the sofa bed but with no luck I had to go and hand my phone over for the new receptionist (bald man who had swapped over) to speak to them, he was no help whatsoever just kept saying it’s a basic room that’s what they get, they cannot be moved as the hotel was full and then changed his story to say we used the toilet and made the room dirty and did not come down straight away when we did! In the end he cut the agent off on my phone and said he wasnt speaking English but he was American?? As the receptionist was not trying to help us at all and was being very confrontational at this point our agent moved our hotel to another nearby (HOTEL MARCONI WHO WERE AMAZING) .. my partner asked him to open the gate to get our stuff and he refused at first because he had received the cancellation email so again I had to go in and tell him to open the gate as we were checking out all I got was FINE. We had had enough at this point we got our stuff I took the key down and passed it over and said we were checking out and he wouldn’t even look at me. I asked about a tourist tax we paid when we arrived and all he could say was well yeah you stayed here so you pay it which at this point I couldn’t be bothered to argue so I just walked out, I did go back to ask for a receipt as proof of payment in case they tried to say I didn’t pay and he literally threw the money at me across the desk and said FINE just have it... To add insult he then had the cheek to say the hotel would remember my name when I was leaving like I would actually even want to go back to such a place his attitude stunk and needs some serious customer service training!! .. I have been to many places as I work in the travel industry but this was by far the worst!! RUDE UNHELPFUL & CONFRONTATIONAL STAFF MEMBER, the proper

We have just returned from three nights at the tourist house. The communication received before arrival was brilliant and the instructions on the water boat and how to find the location were excellent. We followed these exactly and were in the hotel less than one hour after landing in Venice. On check in the host was extremely helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to find the details of the night boat and bus we needed for the Saturday for the airport as we had an early flight. Again these instructions were outstanding and we travelled back to the airport at 4 am with no problems. The room was small but quaint. The bedding and towels are spotlessly clean. The bathroom is a little small, my partner struggled in the shower but I was fine. Toiletries are provided. Plenty of hot water. Bathroom was very clean. There is a minibar in the room with a reasonable price list of you want to use it. We found closing the window shutters helpful. Heating in the room was excellent. Complimentary coffee and pastries are served 8 am to 10 am. Location is great, five minutes to Rialto bridge about 15 minutes to the square. As it was so close to Rialto it was always easy to find our way back. If you are looking for convenient, clean, friendly and a great welcome stay here. I would return in a heartbeat. Thank you

Compared with the price of more than 2,300 one night, the price is not high, the facilities are a bit old, the bathroom is small, it is also the level of domestic Samsung, but fortunately the waiter is still enthusiastic, the handsome uncle is also very polite, give us early check-in.

Spent 3 nights at Hotel Canada in August 2020 as a solo traveller. Hotel is family owned and operated, conveniently located, rooms are clean and well-kept. Very kind and helpful service. Overall, a good accomodation at the best price! Forniture is old style but very functional and - given the ambience of the place - definitely has its own charm. Ladies: if you loved the movie "Summertime", which was shot in Venezia, you will feel like Katharine Hepburn at her beloved Pensione Fiorini (and if you never watched the movie I kindly urge you to do so before you head to Venezia!). Breakfast is basic but it will keep you going until 11.30 AM, the right time to start your daily bacaro adventure. Must see/do and services at walking distance: Piazza San Marco (5-8 minutes) Ponte di Rialto (1 minute) Osteria Al Portego, a typical bacaro where you can have yummy cicheti (absolutely worth it, it's not a tourist trap - 2 minutes) El Magazen (both for cicheti and also a proper dinner - 10 minutes) Ristorante Trattoria Cherubino (10-15 minutes, it depends on how skilled you are to get lost in Venezia ahahahah!) Supermarket Coop (1 minute) Last but not least... gentlemen, you might decide to pamper yourself and have your beard shaved at Irene Pitzalis's barber shop: she's the only barber woman in Venezia and her shop is at 1 minute walking distance. Can't recommend Hotel Canada enough! Enjoy Venezia! Tiziana :)

An ideal location only a few minutes walk away from the Rialto Bridge our apartment was in a block not far from Hotel Ai Reali. We went there first to check in and get our key. We had a fabulous welcome from a front of house person and were given a map, some very helpful information and that was very much appreciated. We were helped with our bags to our apartment, settled in and shown where things were. It was a great way to have an additional bed without the cost of an extra hotel room. We were impressed with the lovely European styling of the apartment and excellent facilities - a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave. Our bins were emptied each day, we were there for 3 nights and felt safe, secure.

So on our travels near Rialto we checked it out ( for next time hopefully ) or to add a name for friends to investigate. It is a cute small palazzo style historic hotel with Venetian charm. The reception staff were only too welcoming for us to stick our nose in for appraisal, & added that we should ask for the Grand Canal view rooms. Location is also magical. Rialto is THE CENTRE of Venice & Marconi has easy access to literally everything via Vaporetto. ... probably give MARCONI an extra star when we stay .... Ahhhh next time.!

Just got back from a 3 night stay here. The hotel is in a really good location and was easy to find. The room was clean, comfortable and had a good shower / nice soaps just what you need after a long day travelling / walking around the streets of Venice. It is probably a better than average hotel but unfortunately let itself down....Downside...we nearly ended up sleeping on the street when we arrived / came to check in as the reception wasn’t manned, we couldn’t get into the hotel (code lock on the door). No one answered the phone when we called the telephone on the hotel website. Fortunately another couple arriving back from their night out let us in and gave us the door code. We found an envelope with our details on the reception desk containing our room key. Breakfast of croissants and yoghurt was brought on a tray to our room following a call asking what we wanted to drink (choice of hot drinks). The second morning a knock on the room door announced the arrival of breakfast and the same drinks. Felt rushed and more on the hotels terms not ours, not what you want on holiday. Third morning we were awake early as the cleaners started to clean the adjacent room at 6:30....not what you want on your last morning. Overall we think this hotel would benefit from a manned reception / meet and greet which would help communication and make it a much better experience.

If you’re looking for a hotel with squeaky clean bathrooms, a comfortable bed, good service and a perfect location in the heart of Venice — Hotel Al Vagon would be a good choice for you. Located literally a 3-5 minute walk from Rialto Bridge and the vaporetto stop, it was a breeze to get to anywhere else in Venice. The room looked slightly dated, but that was thanks to the tiled floor and the bed cover. Removing the bed cover revealed pristine white sheets, and a properly soft bed. I was pleasantly surprised at the bathroom. I think they have newly renovated it - the shower cubicle was small but super clean, the sink was huge, toilet and bidet literally sparkling, new and modern — it was clear that the bathroom was newly done. In fact, the bathroom itself would have done well in a 4 star hotel. I am very particular about bathrooms and not easily impressed - so trust me, the bathroom in room 24 was really great. The farini below the hotel sells the best croissants and breads I ate in all of Venice, the hotel is surrounded by charming canals and the best gelato and other stores, and the area stays bustling well into the night. You can hear some of the folks below the hotel around 1am as they can be raucous. But if you are OK with that, this hotel is a steal given its price point. Special shoutout to their receptionist Mr. Arora. He welcomed us warmly, gave us very useful advice about Venice and always left us feeling cared for. Wonderful service!

The location was great but that is where it stops. The room was tiny. I had a single room and it had also no space for me to open my bag. The floor was dirty and there were ants in my room not to mention the spider that was in my bed. When I told them about the ants they did not understand so using my translator app told them. They smiled not at all surprised and said they would spray in the room but they did not ask where they were coming from. The ants seemed to be coming from behind the baseboards and under the wardrobe so I don’t think that spraying in the room will help. When I arrived in the rain there was no one at the front desk to open the door for me so I had to call someone using a buzzer and they came from another hotel to let me in. Breakfast was minimal and I would suggest going to one of the many shops near by to try the fresh baked good that they have to offer in the mornings. Upon check out I asked if I could check out a few min after 11 as I was doing a workshop down the street until 11 and was told no. The lady that is cleaning the room will be here then and my room need to be empty. I did not and still don’t understand why my room apparently was going to be the first cleaned and had to be that way. It would have been nice to be able to use the washroom before I headed to the bus station. I don’t normally write reviews and if there were just a few things wrong I would not have bothered but since I am taking the time to write this I wanted to highlight everything that could be better.

I like it very much and I have recommended it to my friends. The outside of the hotel is very well-maintained, the facilities are very good, there is a very good smell in the air, the service staff is very warm, the breakfast is simple, but it is very particular, and finally eat hot bread. The palatial feel of the room decoration. The wall covering of the full house. Specially designed for Italian decoration. The single room that was occupied on the National Day, more than 800, the price is good. I also came across a wedding photo with a good mood.

We had an amazing stay at the Santa Croce Bouitique hotel! The hotel is right in the middle of Venice, but slightly off the beaten track, so you are steps away from all the highlights yet not in the middle of the tourist crowds, and also has a wonderful private courtyard where you can relax after a busy day of sightseeing. It is a 6 minute walk from the airport water taxi and only 3 minutes from a vaporetto water bus stop (Canal Grande route). These are, of course, exceptional times, and the staff was excellent in working with us as our travel dates changed due to changing corona rules in Europe (thank you Luca!). The hotel also has taken thorough Covid safety and hygiene measures. throughout the property. The breakfast buffet had been replaced with an a-la-care -service that was at least as plentiful. Guests were asked to indicate their preferred breakfast time the evening before, to ensure that social distancing rules in the restaurant were adhered to. Our room was fantastic (the website pictures are accurate), the bathroom appeared to be brand new and also featured a steam bath. The staff did everything to make our stay perfect, including special sight seeing tips from the Manager Elisabetta. To the whole Santa Croce team, thank you for making this a perfect stay. We look forward to being back!

Warm yet refined service by the most precious staff, many locals who will share their stories. Was actually here to catch the Biennale last year and ended up arriving during the historic flood, can't say enough about how swimmingly the staff handled everything. They turned a potential crisis into an unforgettable experience, even the marble lobby rose to the occasion, looking gorgeous underwater. Location: You’re exactly 0 mins from San Marco (and the main vaporetto station there), Hermes and Cipriani, but the entrance is within a quiet courtyard away from the crowds. Private dock accessible by water taxi if you have heavy luggage. When Proust said "...in Venice my dream became my address," he was talking about this. Also Dr.Sheldon Cooper would've marked this as his prime spot relative to any and all Venetian needs. Rooms & View: (see photos!) Request a room with Grand Canal views. Rooms are spacious and newly renovated as of 2019. If you've shopped around for rooms in Venice, you know how hard space and modern bathrooms are to come by. Friends who’ve stayed at the Aman and Gritti envied the direct canal view and huge modern windows (see photos) — Can you top waking up to Santa Maria della Salute and the Punta Dogana every morning? Swing open the french windows and pretend the gathering gondoliers are serenading you in a Byronic epic poem. (If the St Regis was available, Lord Byron definitely would've excused himself from the monastic island) Dining: Bars had excellent whiskey selection served with excellent clear ice cubes. What else do you need? Breakfast spread sumptuous & fresh, everything is customizable. Gio's is a good choice for dinner. Pre-Arrival: Emailed with concierge to consult on itinerary, super helpful with advice on Biennale (and store) closings and private transfer arrangements. Picked up at airport by the most charming Venetian, definitely use this service if arriving at odd hours, traveling solo, or in bad weather! Wouldn't have been able to make it without. Don't be afraid to travel to Venice during Fall and Winter/Acqua alta if you're staying at the St Regis, it'll be amazing. Please donate to Save Venice if you’re staying here. Save Venice! We loved the hotel Mezzo Pozzo. Don't be put off by it's 2 stars; we thought it deserved three! The hotel is in an old Venetian Palace so very oldy worldy, but oh so charming. Matteo on the front desk was lovely and gave us all the info we needed during out stay. The triple room we booked was spacious with ensuite bathroom, great A/C and wifi. Old fashioned deco but perfect at the same time. An amazing breakfast was served in our room each morning. Excellent contintental breakfast with tea or coffee or hot chocolate, orange juice, yoghurts, croissants, breads, biscottes, jam and spreads, a really generous selection. The hotel is perfectly located near th Ca d'Oro vaporetto stop, 5 mins on foot to Rialto Bridge and 10/15 mins on foot to St Mark's square. It's in a tiny narrow street so very quiet but just off the bustling Strada Nova. It couldn't have been in a better spot!

Valentina couldn't have been more accommodating when rearranging our trip at short notice. The hotel is in a fantastic location, only 5 mins from Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square! Breakfast was included and was a great way to start to the day. It consisted of fresh croissants, bread and jam for toast, kiwi, eggs, yoghurt, fruit juice, water and a hot drink of your choice. The room was clean, had air conditioning and the bed comfy, what more could you need! Tea and coffee facilities were in the room. Thank you Valentina for a fantastic stay! Just back from a 4-night stay at Hotel Kette. The superior room was perfect; a King bed and best of all two beautiful windows looking out onto a canal and the wonderful rooftops of Venice. Lovely bathroom with every facility. Breakfast included and what a breakfast! Muesli, Granola, prepared fresh fruit on your table, yoghurt, croissants and other bread items to choose from plus individual preserves. Cooked breakfast as well - but we had no room left for that. The staff are lovely and always happy to help. Room service every day was excellent. The interior of the hotel is very beautiful with marble floors everywhere in the traditional Venetian style. Apart from the excellent reception area there are well appointed ground floor rooms for meetings including computer facilities, and others for simply resting. The hotel is tucked just off Calle Larga a short walk from St. Mark's Square and with gorgeous shops, at least for looking at!! We fell in love with this charming little place from the moment we walked through the giant doors. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who thankfully spoke English and seamlessly checked us in, carried my large bag up the three flights of stairs and got us straight into our room. The traditional Venetian decor was very tastefully done and the bathroom fixtures and amenities were of a high quality. The room itself was generous in size and the bed was very comfortable. It was certainly a pleasure to wake up here each morning. To my delight, we were greeted with little cookies and tea and coffee when we arrived back to be rooms following turn down service. (The cookies were divine). The staff were very helpful with recommendations and after just a couple of days, we felt right at home. The location was perfect for us as we were after something that wasn’t right in the heart of the Venice chaos, but a very short and pleasant stroll to the main areas. We couldn’t fault this beautiful guesthouse and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a more boutique, luxurious yet affordable option in the heart of Venice.

I give this special little hotel full marks as it clearly ticks all the boxes! For starters, the location is unbeatable - oh the joys of getting up at the crack of dawn to step outside to St Marks square not even three minutes away to watch the sunrise....with not another tourist in sight!! The ten days we spent at this well priced hotel were the best - both Alvise and Luca were the nicest hosts possible and we know that we will definitely return because they made our stay so enjoyable. The rooms have incredibly comfortable beds and our spacious bathroom daily cleaned with fresh towels and soaps. The best was waking up to what was quite simply the best cup of coffee as each room is equipped with its own coffee machine with the most excellent italian coffee specially supplied to the hotel. There were cafes very close by but we never felt the need to go out for breakfast as we could keep all the ham and cheese we wanted in the room's fridge. Of course this was such a central location - but even though our big room faced one of the most famous and busy shopping streets in Venice we were never disturbed by the noise - that one was close to just about everything. We were able to get to all the museums early before the crowds and best was when Venice emptied in the evening and we had the place pretty much all to ourselves and its inhabitants which was quite special. Getting from marco polo airport was so smooth as we just hopped into the Alilaguna airport water shuttle taxi and was at St Marks in an hour - perfect! no time wasted at all. These italians think of everything! Dear Alvise and Luca, you looked after us so well, we shall be back very soon indeed!

The first thing to say is that this is a typical old Venitian building. The walls are beautifully covered in patterned fabric, the furniture is in keeping with the style of the building giving an authentic feel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and we were given excellent advice on travel passes for the water buses etc by the female brown haired receptionist who was always bright and cheerful. On arrival in room 5 which overlooks the front of the building we were greeted with a filthy, black, slimy mess of a shower head which hadn't been cleaned months. I removed it and took to reception. Full of apologies, the shower head was replaced with a new one fitted within 10 minutes. Half the shower door was missing and the frame was chipped which I mentioned at reception to be told "yes I know " by the male I reported it to. Towels were clean as was the room, and bedding refreshed frequently. The front of the property is situated on a narrow walkway which is a shortcut to the buildings further on. There is also a suitcase storage business situated on the walkway so there is a constant buzz people and wheelie cases going up and down. That is venice......people pushing cases !!! We weren't bothered by it. The hotel is 10.mins walk from the bus station which makes access fast and straight forward. Breakfast is 1 cold croissant each plus sliced cheese and ham to go on it. There is jam tart, bread rolls, a toaster, tinned fruit salad and yoghurt plus coffee available. Breakfast is served under a gazebo in the rear yard. The picture of the rear garden is somewhat different to the reality now that it is used as a breakfast room. A mini fridge is provided in the room. There are plenty of places within a short stroll for an evening drink and meal. Knowing all this, we would use this Hotel again.

We visited the city of Venice for three nights deciding to stay at this property due to a Hotels.com deal. The bed was very big and very comfortable. The heating and hot water efficient and worked well. The rate includes a small breakfast in a lovely lounge area just outside the bedrooms. Also there is a coffee machine and water in the lounge for guests use 24hrs. The location is excellent about a 10/15 walk from the bus and train station that is well signed and very easy . You can use the water bus too if you have more luggage. The Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge are a few minutes walk away too. Amazing hotel, family run & the staff cannot help you enough. This hotel is 20 minutes outside of the main town of Venice, but the bus stop is literally Opposite the hotel and comes every 15 minutes! The hotel is lovely and clean, the rooms are amazing. There is also a restaurant within the hotel if you wanted to have dinner. The breakfast included in the morning they cook you fresh eggs and there is also bacon, pastries, potatoes and fruit. I am glad that I choose to stay here rather than in central Venice because location is 20minutes form airport by bus, 2 buses again so easy I thought it would be hard & id end up getting a taxi. But taxi was 55euro, bus was 30euro for 2’people return! Can’t go wrong. Everyone please book this hotel, it is just beautiful. I will be back when I come back to Venice!

I didn't do excellent because the bathroom was like an obstacle course and the shower was the smallest I had ever been in. With my hands on my hips, my elbows touched the walls. I'm 5'8", 185 lbs. But all in all, it was good place to be. The staff was great! The Bridge Hotel is close to the main plazas, the Bridge of Sighs, the high-end shopping area and lots of good places to eat. We stayed at Hotel Locanda Canal for 4 nights in Venice. It was clean, comfortable, and homey. It was in a great location near San Marco square (5 min walk), restaurants, shopping, and tons of gelaterias (most of Venice has restaurants and gelato all over!) We had a triple room which was definitely tight for three people, not very spacious, as is the norm in Venice. The hotel had no elevator but had a functional one seat chair lift for elders to go up if needed. Hotel room had AC. No Kleenex (in case you’re wondering). Breakfast had fresh boiled brown eggs, milk, dinner rolls, toast, cereal, cheese, juice, butter, and jam. The assistant will make you a fresh coffee or tea. Eggs on buttered rolls were a sufficient breakfast for my long days of walking in Venice! Front desk staff were extremely polite and helpful, gave us lovely recommendations and were patient with our questions. While other service staff in Venice appeared a bit short/impatient, the hotel staff were the opposite. Loved this place for a 3-Star hotel class and would highly recommend.

AMAZING 5 weeks travelling Europe and this was without doubt our best find! Gorgeous room with 2 rooms so our kids had their own area... Postcard perfect view from the beautiful terrace... literally this is the view you get! Although it looks like a distance to travel it was super easy with the online directions ... took about 40 mins on the water bus from the train station. It worked perfectly to do the distance first then we were so close to everything we could pop back when we needed. The lovely lady (so sorry can’t remember your name) let us in early with our bags before suggesting an itinerary for the day which was PERFECT to see all the sights. Breakfast was beautifully presented with plenty of good coffee. Would pay double to stay here again and without doubt sending everyone we know coming to Venice .... worried we won’t get a room next time we visit as this little gem should be booked out years in advance! Thanks so literally the best stop on our travels thanks to making hospitality .... see you soon!

Pick-up service is a bit expensive, 1-3 people and 50 euros, three people are more cost-effective. There is a bus to and from the main island of Venice. There is a 2.5-way one-way trip and a round trip to 5 Euros. You need to book a ticket at the front desk in advance. If you don't know anything, you can ask the front desk for help. They will provide maps, good attitude, and complete hotel facilities.

A very positive experience. I only confirmed the room one day in advance, in the middle of August and I got a single room at a price of a hostel accommodation in a mixed dorm room. A very pleasant surprise. The hotel is, indeed, placed on island however, it is still a perfect choice for travellers with luggage (its much easier to carry the suitcases on board of vaporetto and then to the island than accross tens od bridges in the city). In addition, if you intend to stay in Venice for at least one day, you will buy a daily (or longer) ticket for vaporetto so, going to the hotel on San Servolo will not be an additional cost. The island is amazing, with views of Venice and San giorgio Maggiore on one side, and Lido on the other side. The rooms are comfortable, extremely clean with comfy toilette and all that you might need (even complimentary packages containing nail boards and cotton swabs and a nail file which is lovely gesture which you can usually see only in 4+ hotels). I didn't stay for breakfast so, I don't have and impressions about food and the restaurant but, all and all, the receptionists and bar workers were extremely pleasant and helpful. I would surely recommend it.

Booked in Porta da Mar for school half term holidays.. We flew in from Bristol .. 2 hour flight.. flight is at 7:05 am. Stops in Marco Polo Airport inland to Venice. As we were staying 5 days bought 7 day travel pass + airport transfer. 72 euros Bought them online but they had to changed at machine in front of number 5. U then get a pass. Take it to P Roma around 30 mins and the. Take either number 1 or 4.2 to Arsenale. No1 is very slow as it stops in very stop on the route in grand canal but when u come here for first time view around the city will amaze u so number 1 is not a bad ride. No big names on Door to hotel but not difficult to locate. Trick is take one bridge toward north.. before u reach other bridge is on left hand side. After the last eatery. Breakfast is excellent and room is really great. Giampaolo and girls were great. Full marks on hospitality. Great location.. and good B&B Points to note.. 1) Closest station is Arsenale. 2) The property is not manned 24 hours so read the instructions from host. 3) No clear names but not hard to locate. 4) need to resister and pay city tax before departure 5) great location as base to travel around. 6) many will places to eat around the alley.. specially Verdict - value for the monies , great location..

We stayed at the ca morosini in Venice for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every moment! The location was perfect, within walking distance of the Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge, St Marks Square, the Doge’s Palace, the Basilica and the Bridge of Sighs. Easy access to Murano and Burano islands completed a perfect break. Our room was traditional, comfortable and beautifully clean, it overlooked St Stephano square with plenty of eating places.

This hotel is beautiful and modern, yet has an old world charm. Its right on a canal, so you can hear singing and music throughout the day which is a really nice touch and makes you feel like you are truly in Venice. I arrived at the hotel after walking from the train station and taking a vaporito. According to directions, it states it's only a 20 minute walk....but venice is a maze and took me over an hour. Going back it wasn't as bad. When I arrived, I was happy but completely stressed from trying to find it. The wonderful gentleman at the front desk couldn't have been nicer. He checked me in and showed me to my room. I wasn't sure if breakfast was included with my reservation...but he said not to worry...he was giving me free breakfast regardless. My room was LARGE and had a nice sized terrace. The bed was comfy. my reason for 4 stars instead of 5: it only had a tub with a shower head...but you couldn't stand up because the ceiling was low...so that was interesting trying to get clean. They give you a decent amount of towels, there's a shampoo/body wash and hand soap. (no other toiletries...but traveling through italy, this was quite normal). The breakfast was wonderful. They had an automatic coffee maker which could make several different coffees, espresso and cappuccino, eggs, different breads, pastries, cereal, salumi, cheeses, etc. etc. The hotel also has great air-conditioning, tv (but none of the american channels worked), and an elevator! The location of this hotel was excellent! only a 5 minute walk to San Marco square and all the fancy stores. The hotel gives you a map when you arrive, and it's super easy to follow and get around (even though, like I said, venice is a maze---but a wonderful one). I definitely would stay here again (but i'd ask for a room with a shower!.

We were a group of 13 people including children who booked 5 rooms at this hotel. On arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant friendly female member of staff who allocated the rooms to us. The password for wifi was available on printed paper at the reception. The rooms were basic, clean, and warm and plenty of hot water was available, each room had a television but no English channel was available. The only fault I found was 1 pillow per single bed. The lift to the room was out of order for a period of time but this was for safety reasons as the City was flooding due to high tides each day. The hotel is located in a great area within 10 minutes walk to Piazzale Roma, train station and airport bus and transfers. Shopping and restaurants are plentiful in the area. We had to check out at 6.30am the following morning as advised due to incoming high tide so that we could get to our booked transfers as a result we missed breakfast. When leaving the hotel outside the main door was already flooded, walking ramps were available in the centre of the street. The night Male receptionist was so concerned about us getting wet that he offered to carry us on his back from the hotel door to the walking ramp. I took him up on the offer and I am no light weight. He told me that was the Venetian way. I have absolutely no problems recommending this hotel .

Like the photos of the rooms taken by the above, the hotel's hard and soft clothes are very European, very characteristic~ This time I stayed in Venice for three nights, the most want to say is that the front desk staff is super nice! ! ! Basically, there is a need for Bing, and there is a question and answer. About the route to the island, borrow an umbrella from the front desk, and catch the flight in advance at 5 am on the last day, free parking, etc., the price is very high~ except for the small bathroom, there are no other disadvantages, right There is a little breakfast, although the variety is not bad, but the taste is good, I mean all kinds of 颂🥐~😊啰嗦 remind, the hotel in the ZTL area, there are self-driving friends remember to check-in when the front desk Say, you can help to erase the record. Finally, I wish you all a happy time in Venice.

I booked this hotel directly in August 2019 as a surprise trip for my Wife and I as a Christmas present. We stayed for 6 nights. It was very reasonably priced and I was a little worried the standard would be poor. How wrong I was. The hotel is stunning, well heated (it was cold while we were there), clean, room was fabulous (a superior double) and decorated in a Venice style, comfy bed, lots of space, quiet, large wardrobe with plenty of hangers, fridge, plenty of sockets, good lighting not the usual dully bulbs, decent hairdryer, amazing bathroom and shower, excellent TV with internet so we could use our Netflix account, good WiFi, just suburb. Only 2 things would have made the room better, coffee and tea making facilities and better pillows, but no complaints. I have seen a comment about no room service but if you want room service then stay at a more expensive but less characterful hotel. The breakfast was excellent, cereal, fruit, juices, pastries, bread, rolls, a toaster that actually worked, marmalade (thankyou, very English), hot food, scrambled egg, bacon or on 2 days fried potatoes, frankfurter style sausages, great service, tea and excellent coffee, just great. We were there from 6th Jan 2020 and we were very lucky with the weather, blue skies and sun, just below zero at night and 6-11 degrees during the day, perfect. Being January it was not too busy as well, definitely the time to go if you’re not keen on crowds and queuing, we didn’t have to queue for anything. St Marks tower was closed for renovation which was the only downer on the trip, everything else was amazing. There were no issues with flooding, in fact bearing in mind the November floods we couldn’t believe they even happened, Venice is well prepared for these regular issues. The location was perfect. The hotel is 2 minutes’ walk from St Marks Square, 5 minutes’ walk (with just 1 bridge) from the St Marco waterbus stop from the airport (27 Euro return). It could not have been better. There was a bar that shut at 10pm but we were mostly out so we never used it. No restaurant but it was not an issue as there’s an excellent place over the ally that’s reasonable prices, so we used that twice as we were too tired to walk far. Tourist tax was 4.50 Euro per night per person and it had to be cash. We would not stay anywhere else if we come back to Venice.

We stayed at this B&B when we were making our way across Italy. The property is older, but very clean. It affords you a feel for Venice with great views of the water! Our room was HUGE! In fact, it was basically an apartment. We had two bedrooms and one of the most spacious bathrooms of tour trip. Our room rate included a daily breakfast located in a room with two small balconies overlooking the water. The food was good, which included your typical euro choices of meats, cheeses, juices and coffee. Two thoughts on the location: First, I loved the fact that it was south and east of the busy, congested areas of Venice (which are easily accessible via a 5-10 minute walk). We never felt threatened there since the pace was a bit slower. Second, the property itself is a bit tough to find. There are no signs that welcome you. Instead, just a door with the name of the B&B on a doorbell panel. Had we not used iMaps, we might still be looking for it. LOL! But once we found it and checked in, all was great. As for the location, just take the water bus to the Anasele stop and get off. When exiting, make a right and walk about 200 yards along the water, over one bridge and past the naval museum. You will see an outdoor cafe and gelato stand. It's right there just to the right of the cafe as you're looking at it. Overall, we had a great stay and I would return without hesitation. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made our trip to Venice that much better.
