Rooms are big for this area. Housekeeping and maintenance guys do their best to upkeep but... Rooms do have mini fridge and kettle with coffee and tea packets. Beds are comfortable but only 1 pillow each. Front desk is a hit and miss. Some of them take pride in their job while others need to understand what being in hospitality means. Bathrooms have bathtubs + shower, personally feel not suitable and quite dangerous for seniors.

Did not expect the hotel to be SO GOOD! Especially for the super good rate : around $130+ for a suite. Well of course we can’t compare a boutique hotel. However, I am amazed by this hotel. Big room, nice windows, lovely sofa, living room for that price. Nothing to complain at all. Very near to coffee shops, hawker centre, Geylang Serai, city plaza, we felt like tourist shopping stuffs at a super good rate. Highly recommended.

No window room is super small. About 3m x 4m. The bathroom is 40% of the room size. Hence the sleeping area is small. Top up to window room at $18 per night. Budget hotel which is accepting ISOLATION and SHN guests. Seems like a hotel for couples to stay in. Not really suitable for families. The hotel is on full capacity even on weekdays (ie: Tue to Thu). People have been told their rooms were not ready and have to wait. Since some rooms have been occupied by ISOLATION and SHN guests, hence lesser rooms left for staycation guests. During night time, have few bars and eating house along the stretch of road. Can see people drinking and sitting outside the hotel area. Room +43 inch Samsung TV +carpet floor +many socket heads +fridge and safe box +toothpaste and toothbrush and shower gel -super small and claustrophobic -super narrow corridor -aircon only can go down to 25 degree -local channels only -only 2 pillows -no thick blanket, only thin ones -no mineral water -no slippers -no face towel -no floor mat -no tissue box in the room Bathroom +Standing shower and handheld shower -blue towel instead of the white towel that most hotels use Location +NTUC supermarket beside the hotel. -No free parking. Park at the open space carpark or HDB parking area.

A night stay is without fuss for this hotel. Cleaniness is good except for floor which tended to be left out. Floor was slightly dusty, though marginally acceptable. Aircon was good. Luckily my stay was with a small fridge to keep my drinks cold and with a bathtub to soak my aching muscles in.

Check in was efficent (done by Dylan) and I was given room prior normal timing. The room size is reasonable and very clean. Location is perfect, just need take bus 33 to Dakota station to explore SG on MRT. Plenty of eateries, Vietnamese, Western, Nyonya and Joo Chiat Complex/grocery a short walk away. Dunman Food Centre is stones throw away. Will definitely return..for the pleasant experience.

The hostel is very close to the Ayuni Metro Station. I have stayed at the hotel for four nights before and after. It is more convenient, but the bathroom shower facilities are occasionally difficult to guarantee. The boss is good, the girl lives alone, and the boss will give priority to the room with more girls, which is more convenient in hot Singapore.   In addition, the hostel is not far from the famous durian stand in Singapore, and it is convenient to eat.

The decoration is very old and has some smell. You need to let the smell go in every day; the hygiene is quite clean; the sound of the air conditioner is a window machine, and the sound is relatively loud: the quilt is a layer of cloth, and there is a separate thin blanket; the location is in a pedestrian street, taxi It’s not very convenient. Many drivers don’t know it. There are subways and buses nearby. In general, the traffic is convenient; there are shopping places such as bugis around; the service is good; breakfast is relatively simple, and there is a Yabo Center nearby that is good for eating; Sim Lim Square nearby It is said that the water is deep, so please be cautious when shopping; there are no dental appliances, there are fewer charging ports, and no water is provided.

Fourth floor is cooking bay and an area to laze around with open gym, garden and play zone for kids. Rooms are smartly done with modern interiors.

This capsule hotel budget-wise is recommendable. The location is great and 5 minutes away from the metro station. I have taken the mixed capsule. I did not expect much because of the price but I stuttered with disappointment when I was there. I availed myself of a stay with free breakfast for 5 days and in these 5 days, never I had tried and seen any food. What I saw are leftovers kept uncleaned. I usually wake up at 5-6 am because I have a conference by 7 am. By that time, no food on the counter. The toilets were furthermore small and crowded. No social distancing or infection control practices. The spaces are cluttered, unkempt, and unmaintained. I have raised the issue to an Agoda representative who told me that I should have the breakfast inclusion. Still, the next day, no breakfast was there. I planned to talk to the reception but most of the time, staff are not present there.

The room was clean and spacious able to fit in one extra bed under the package deal. The room service was polite and helpful when we requested for extra towels for the children. The engineering staff was great when attending to the hot & cold water dispenser that was not working. The area that needs improvement on was the IT because we purchased the package that includes breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids but we are not sure why the cafe computer system shows only for 2 adults. We have to make our way down to the level 1 front desk to check from the cafe at level 2 also during check out we need to inform front desk of our dinning credit to offset the bills because we were presented the outstanding bill to settle. Overall experience was good but it could have been better

Stayed here on and off between Dec 22 and Feb 23 while we travelled to other nearby countries. Its a great place to stay. Very helpful attentive staff. Restaurant offers a wide range of food. Housekeeping did a great job. Rooms are big compared to others in Singapore. Surrounded by lots of shops, cafes and restaurants. It's a 10 minute walk to Bugis Mrt. Great location for accessing other tourist spots. Would like to mention the duty manager, his name began with R (sorry not sure how to spell his name). He always made us feel extremely welcome and was very helpful. Would definitely stop here again.

Location wise this place is very strategic , very near mrt station , as you can go to Maxwell food court and chinatown in a 200- 500 meters distance. The room that I stay in is comfortable and just enough space to sleep for the night. The bed was comfy and aircond was good. I would think that something wrong with the Netflix remote control as I can’t really navigate the remote. Anyways how wifi was excellent . The room is quiet during my stay , depending on your neighbours whether they are quiet or not. There are still some sounds at night when the neighbours come back from night out. Bathroom due to being shared , don’t expect it to be super clean but decent. We have female and male toilets/ showrooms as well which is great. All in all I will definitely come back here to stay . Good for solo travel.

The moment we drove into the basement carpark, we knew it would be an amazing staycation. We parked next to their iconic vintage rolls royce. Check in was seamless, although their customary welcome drink was absent. No more welcome drink? During our stay, we enjoyed the quiet and less crowded swimming pool. (as compared to the crazy crowd at other hotels). Breakfast and evening canapés were good as well. We absolutely enjoyed the complimentary snacks and drinks throughout the day as well. Service was top-notched - friendly staff who made us feel at home. We have been to countless staycations, and Barracks Hotel is definitely ranked 1st. Will be back again.

As an Ascott group member, there are decent expectations of an Ascott experience in all the properties in which I had once stayed (Ascott, Somerset, Citadines). Citadines Rocher (recently opened in 2020) was one of my top choices in having a local staycation because of its location and price range. However, it was an overall disappointing experience, and here’s why: 1. No daily housekeeping service 2. Our bathroom door could not close. It was completely off the ledge. 3. Reception is busy all the time. Phone calls are often not answered 4. This hotel was most probably a designated hotel used for both Malaysian citizens who were unable to return home due to locked borders, as well as returning Singaporeans to serve their mandatory 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN). There were confirmed COVID-19 cases within my period of stay. We were notified by a letter from the management. The least the management could do was to provide a mask or sanitizers to guests. We also chanced upon 2 medical workers fully donned in PPE escorted a guest to the ambulance. Scary stuff. 5. We took our own trash out of the room since day 1 of check-in. It was not cleared even upon checking out. Dear Citadines Rocher, please review your services. I had absolute faith and would like to continue giving my support to Ascott despite this awful stay.

Our family (incl 2 teenagers) LOVED this hotel. It was a more affordable oasis when every other hotel quote in Singapore seemed astronomically high. The rooms were tiny but super well designed and well provisioned, very clean and fresh feeling. But it was the rest of the property that won us over! The big common kitchen, big outdoor patio, beautiful pool, fun lobby area, and general community vibe was so great! Other guests were lovely, kind, and fun, and so were the staff. They also have free activities! My teenage kids did a free painting class on site one evening after we’d been out sightseeing all day and my husband and I were beat. They also had a pool spin cycle class one day we were there! It’s just across the street from the subway, plus a mall with a big eatery and good grocery store. By Grab ride it was maybe 12 mins to the downtown/waterfront area. I highly recommend this hotel!!

I stayed here in early December 2022 for a few nights. In general, this hostel is very conveniently located. It is only 4-minute walk from the Downtown Line MRT station. It is the same station that has the closest ATMs. The hostel requires you to pay your balance using cash. If you want to pay by card, there is an additional 3% charge and you'd have to walk to their sister hostel to use their card machine. The sister site is on another street but they claim it's just a 5-minute walk. Also, if you want to print anything or use a microwave, you'd have to walk across the street to the Chic Hostel to do so since this one doesn't have it. There is a fridge but no microwave. The good thing is that they do your laundry, within the same day if you tell them to, for $12. The dorms on the 4th floor did not have a lock on the door so it didn't feel secure from anyone else who may decide to wonder up there. They did have a key card for the individual lockers though. There's only one outlet by your bed so I'd recommend getting an adapter with multiple USB ports or something. The 4th and 3rd floors share a 2-stall shower and toilet combo which was a tight squeeze and a bit moldy, which probably cannot be helped with such humid climates. Only bodywash was available in the showers. Each toilet come with its own handheld bidet. I just wished that the restrooms had paper towels to dry your hands. I did like that each bed had its own TV with Netflix and headphones (even though I never used it). The A/C runs all night which is great. I also liked that eac bed has their owne privacy curtains as well as their own drying rack and clothes hangers.

In curtin Singapore Reading, very close to the new site of the school, 15 minutes by bus, and close to Jin Wentai, the hotel provides continental breakfast from Monday to Friday, although the variety is very limited, but the breakfast is enough for nutrition, especially the ham is delicious, the hotel apartment room is what I see Singapore Hotel is comparison Big, there is a kitchen where you can cook kitchen utensils and tableware. The washing machine with dryer is very convenient. There are also food courts nearby, but there is a pasta restaurant downstairs in the hotel that tastes very good, and it is also very close to west coast park It is very suitable for running. house keeping is done on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It won’t be too disturbing to rest. Overall, this apartment is very good, very quiet and suitable for living. If you don’t like noisy, it’s also very difficult to book.

Located right next to a bus stop and a 5-minute walk from a MRT station, this budget hotel screams value. Two restaurants right at the ground floor of the premises and a very famous Indian restaurant (A2B) within 3 minutes walk away, good food is very close by. Mustafa centra is a 5-minute walk. A no-frills, impeccably clean hotel in a great location - excellent value for money. We stayed there for 9 nights and every morning the cleaning team was prompt to leave our room blushing clean. My request for extra towels were immediately taken care of and seen through all 9 days. 24-hour hot water and air-conditioning were top-notch. Special shout-out to Ms Pam and Richard at the front desk who gave us wonderful tips about their country and made us feel right at home. The room cleaning persons (sorry, I missed taking their names) did a fabulous job every single day! I was travelling with 2 young kids and had requested a room on a higher floor with a double bed. They were able to accommodate me on their 7th floor (not noisy at night) but could provide me with only twin beds. This was a minor blip in the otherwise exceptional service provided my the hotel. Rooms near the lift tend to be a bit noisy throughout the day. Room # 710 was great - 7th floor and far from the lift. I'd recommend this place again to anyone looking for a no-frills budget hotel in a great location.

Pros: Our staycation started on a good note as the service was good from the minute of check in. The Front Desk staff was friendly and was patient with our enquiry. The cute tiger plush made my girls happy. We requested for an extra bed and it came within 30 minutes. As we have 4 pax in the room, we requested for extra bath towels and the Housekeeping team promptly delivered not only the towels but extra bottles of drinking water and lotus biscuits. Cons: The water tap at the bath was so tight, so difficult to turn off. Can certainly do with more food choices for in- room dining. If only the pool has slides, else it's quite boring for children.

Fantastic place for short work trips. Better yet if there is co-working space within. On the amenities side, some of the fixtures need restoration too. One suggestion is that there should be minimally a water dispenser in every floor to ease customers of climbing up or down.

Well located, really nice staff for everything, including informations. Bed was comfortable, good shower, breakfast simple but ok. The 2 biggest problems are the travellers who don't respect the sharing room after 23h00 (need a corfu or to be advise) and the room on the street side with a restaurant open 24/24, are to to noisy. You just get little sleep. Coming from Airport, with MRT get off at Jelan Besar exit B, turn right, walk to Dickson Road. To take the bus via Malaysia, walk via Jelan Besar, turn left and right on Weld Road, it will be on your right (3.5MYR)

The location is abit outskirt of orchard road. However the hotel did provides free shuttle service on half an hour interval to orchard area. Rooms are clean, and newly renovated as the hotel is new. The buffet breakfast is normal. But they do service quality premium coffee and teas. I was v surprise that there are no toast breads and pancakes/waffles provided for their breakfast spread. Breakfast serving is more catered for Asian where there are noodle soups and dim sums such as buns and lotus glutinous rice. The hotel has put all guests from Novotel and Mercure in the same restaurant for breakfast where it sometimes gets v crowded especially at peak hours between 8-9am. So be early for your breakfast if you do not want to wait for a table. It seems like both hotel guests get the same amenities such as accessible to infinity pool @ Novotel tower except with different room’s category. Where I think previously, Mercure guests are not allowed to do so. As both hotel charged at different room rates, I think it is a little unfair for people who stays in Novotel as both Novotel and Mercure are at different class of hotel categories.

When I got there, the room was not well cleaned with lots of old dust and even cobwebs in the room. Anything not obvious was covered in deep dust and surfaces were not clean. Got the staff on the job and supervised a full cleaning and it was fine after that. I would say they spent extra work on the room after that and it was fine. Zero natural light in the rooms. I think it is because they have to keep the shutters closed to maintain the heritage look? Not sure, but if that is important, take note. Laundry worked well and front desk staff were very helpful. Little India very interesting and lots of great, reasonably priced cuisine. MRT (local metro) very close. ATM a bit of a hike. Fortunately, taxis take credit cards. Aside from the initial misstep, OK.

We had a 3 days 2 nights stay in this hotel. It was our first time staying here. The location is stretegically located within the prime area. The transportation was very convenient too. We enjoyed our breakfast buffet spread in the hotel these 2 mornings. My mum loved the food especially the bread and salad. The food was being served hot and nice. We missed the Ah Yat Abalone Restaurant which was located inside the hotel. We have also made full usage of the facilities e. g the swimming pool too. But l find that the pool is a bit small and if only we do not need to use the spiral staircase to the Swimming Pool as my mum have some difficulties climbing up and down the stairs too. The staff was friendly and nice as they have attended to our special needs. E. g the toilet was choked and the plumber came to look into the issue twice. The hotel room was okay except that the sofa have some permanent stains on it. But we have forgotten to ask for separate beds as both my mum and me tucked in for bed at different timings. Nevertheless, both of us slept well. We enjoyed watching TV channels like HBO and Phoenix and of course our local 🇸🇬 channels too as well. Thank you for making our stay comfortable. Might consider to put up our StayCation over here once again soon in months' time.

Excellent. I could sleep better than at home lol. Hostel gets cleaned every day and bed stuff gets changed on a regular bases too. location is good. Bus and train stations are both nearby, as well as restaurants and a 7 eleven. Guided tours are offered as well as maps and pamphlets. Only thing i can think of i didnt like was that they say that they offer breakfast (only apples and oranges), but on the kitchen wall there is a sign it says ”breafast will not be available during covid”. All hotels already resumed the breakfast.

A decent stay, sadly I stayed in one of the level 1 units, rooms are located right behind the alleyway of a kitchen, honestly surrounding can be very noisy all the way till closing hours, while early morning 6am I could already hear staff setting up the kitchen and since the room has really bad soundproofing, I could not sleep well.
