|0.46km from city centerJust back from a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The staff made us feel so welcome especially the bartender Yannis (Gentjav) who not only serves great cocktails but is a true gentleman and gave us lots of advice and local recommendations. It's a small hotel I'd say more suited to adults but it was clean, the food was lovely and there was a good fresh selection every day. The location is perfect, few minutes from the beach, bars and walking distance to the quieter traditional villages just 10 minutes away. Completely made us fall in love with Crete.

|0.44km from city center4 adults currently in the middle of our stay here...we leave on the 10th June. The first night and day we were so happy to have booked this (a special treat for my 40th birthday and belated honeymoon). Reception and check in was smooth, we were shown our rooms (the other couple got fruit and wine...we had only soft drinks in our room which was a little hiccup.) Day 1 despite not being able to get a sunbed at any pool or on the beach we had the most delightful food at Candia restaurant in the evening on my birthday. We did find our first day hard...everything is a qr scan...all menus, directories, map etc...you do have to figure everything out for yourself...and the rest of the time you get revered to concierge. there's also no info on hotel entertainment either...it makes things hard to plan. Day 2 On check in we were told we could book the other 2 restaurants for our dinners..by day 2 EVERY RESTAURANT is fully booked. The main restaurant is lovely, the food is delicious but it's not the same as a restaurant experience where you can dress up for dinner and enjoy the time with loved ones. The eception just told us that the hotel is very busy and that was that...there was a real lack of empathy. It feels like the main directive is to make it as hard as possible for guests to fully take advantage of what is advertised on the website. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a 2 restaurants policy per room. Had we known that you need to book 3 weeks in advance, we would have but even prior emails to the hotel before we arrived took a few days to be replied to. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained and the restaurant and bar staff are all wonderful but I doubt we would recommend it to others...far from relaxing, it's been quite hard work.

|0.62km from city centerWe were there with my grandparents and we were absolutely pleased and satisfied. Everything was perfect. Nice location, clean rooms, good food but mainly I would like to mention really nice people working in this resort. Everyone was kind, but my favourite was an animation team (especially Val, Milla, Marco, Lorenzo and Ricky) which I spent much time with because of their vibe and program. This place is good for couples, families with children and for seniors too. If you are thinking about a holiday in this resort, choose it. You won't regret. You will have a good time here just like us.

|0.58km from city centerWe really enjoyed our holiday. The hotel was clean and tidy, the pool area was spacious and relaxing and there were always plenty of loungers available. Jonny at the pool bar was really friendly. The food in the buffet for breakfast and dinner was well presented with lots of choice. The location is good being right near the beach in a slightly quieter area. The best thing about this hotel is the fantastic staff. They all work so hard but were always cheerful. I want to make a special mention for Dimitra who was professional but so kind and approachable with any queries (including our daughter joining us for a few days) and was happy to give advice on places to visit. She always greeted us with a cheerful smile no matter how busy she was,. She's such an asset to the hotel, she made us feel so special! Thank you to everyone for a lovely stay.

|0.35km from city centerGood day. For the money that we paid for a hotel-hotel worthy! Good, solid repair. Everything is working. Clean toilet. There is everything you need in the kitchen. True frying pan scratched into the board. But this is also a question for tourists! Why are you spoiling hotel property !? After you still come guests !! Well, a hotel, we could already change this stuff to a new pan. Also, called the hotel, be so kind as to comply with the rules. The number of towels is not normal. Only 2 per person And the first 5 days, these were beach brown towels, then they brought white ones. Also, there is no quenched paper. The cleaning lady said that it wasn’t allowed and buy paper yourself at the hotel’s store! This also violates the norms of the hotel business! There are also no toiletries. Even elemental soap. Otherwise, everything is tolerable! Clean well, clean everywhere. The question now is different: to Trip through which we booked this hotel. In the voucher from the company indicated meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) Upon check-in at the hotel, we were denied meals! They stated that they do not have free food. And the fact that we were deceived by the company in which we paid for the tour! As a result, no one fed us! Voucher from the company. Food trip and hotel voucher without food in my arms. I will file complaints with the relevant authorities!

|1.83km from city centerThis hotel is relatively new and the facilities are up to date, with good beds and modern bathrooms, good water pressure and warm water 24/7. Most of the rooms only have the one entrance, which means that you enter by the terrace where other people walk by, and have no privacy unless you keep the curtains drawn --> getting no light in the room. The front office manager is helpful, but the hotel is overbooked, people are shuffeled around between rooms during the stay, and there is no backup room in case of emergencies (in peak season). There is also a major lack of staff, to keep the hotel (july 2023). During our stay cleaning only happened when going to the reception and specifically asking for it. Another guest had no follow up, when broken glass was reported in a personal pool. The hotel IS NOT in walking distance to the beach. Most guests paid 10-12 Euro for a taxi to and from the beach, and no bus service towards Heraklion. Outside the peak season, the hotel will work well. Just make sure you book a room with a balcony (not terrace) or personal pool. That way you get a traditional hotel room with an enterance and a door to your balcony. The little village a few hundre meters from the hotel, is lovely with good restaurants and friendly shop ovners.

|2.85km from city centerRoom: sea view room was beautifully designed; simple and attractive. Spotlessly clean.
Outside; the pool was also immaculately clean with lots of sun beds and cabanas. My only suggestion would be to have a bit more shade.
Food; the food was fine. Nothing exceptional and a bit pricey compared to the rest of the island but it was ok.
Location; it’s a little way to walk if you want to visit other restaurants but the view is amazing. My photos don’t do it justice. There’s a lovely sea breeze.
Staff; this is where The Nest really shines; every single member of staff was amazing. So friendly, thoughtful and kind. I honestly cannot give enough praise to the staff. They were simply wonderful.

|1.08km from city centerAsturias is set on the hill down from the Piskopiano/Koutouloufari road - access is by a lot of steps down to the reception, pool and bar. Alternative access is by a steep hill along the road, and this means the majority of rooms have stairs. This is fine for younger customers but can be hard work for elderly, disabilities and wheelchair users. Some rooms, more Studios, are small and dated, so upgraded to a bedroom apartment with sea view nearer the top area, with a good shower instead of the tiny corner ones with a clinging curtain (I had a studio for checkout day) Pool area had plenty of loungers though this was during October- during school holidays I can envision it being very crowded. Although the bar had a nice selection of snacks, drinks and cocktails, these weren’t cheap. Very friendly and helpful reception staff made it a quiet and relaxing two week stay.

|0.18km from city centerI booked a one week stay half board at Pnoe on the recommendation of a friend. This is a brand-new facility. The rooms are very well appointed and thought out, they are smart rooms and, upon arrival and app is downloaded onto your phone to enable you to adjust the lighting, blinds, Order room service book your tables at the restaurants and the spa. The king size beds are actually two mattresses zipped together (love or hate this idea) if you are not Tech savvy and want to use conventional light switches et cetera in your rooms you will need the torch on your smart phone to see the switches and there Function as, they are dark brown and difficult to read. The food is all very fresh local and cooked to order, the breakfast selection seems endless. All cocktails and smoothies are made well and with fresh ingredients 10 out of 10. The spa is beautiful. I had three spa treatments. The final one which was performed by the spa manager Lia and was exceptional. I have not come across treatments and products by Dr Barbara Sturm before and was initially sceptical but it was the best facial I have ever had and the results were instant. I would not hesitate to recommend, the spa but in particular Lia who was exceptionally kind to me and put me at ease and made me feel comfortable following a recent operation. The website is exactly what the resort looks like, there is little to do surrounding the actual complex. Heraklion is only a short taxi journey away, should you want more? All the Staff are welcoming and want to make your stay enjoyable. A general feel of calm and serenity emanates throughout. I will be returning

|0.27km from city centerIt was an absolutely wonderful experience and I would surely recommend it to anyone who’s searching for a luxurious hotel to spend their free time. First of all, the staff was really kind, they always have smiles on their faces and they make you feel like home with their will to do anything that you can think of. I can clearly see the improvement they’ve made on every sector of the hotel in comparison with last year. Moreover, even the food menu is better as we tried some new special flavours that matched the elegant form of the hotel. Dining at the restaurants Makuti and Umami were two of the experiences that created in me the need to stay. Last but not least, Mrs.Anastasia Deligianni was the source of the positive energy for all the staff, as she first welcomed us with a very big smile. Of course I will come again as it was my favourite one out of all the hotels I’ve been to.

|0.97km from city centerWe have just returned from a week in Crete and are so pleased we chose to stay at the Sergios Hotel. Located centrally, the hotel gleams it is so clean. From Reception to the chef and domestic staff, everyone is friendly and efficient. The room was clean and modern with plenty of drawers and hanging space. Yes the bathrooms are small but perfectly adequate. The restaurant was a real delight, with a good selection of Greek cuisine mixed with the odd themed night. We thought we would eat out more but there was always something to tempt. Finally the bar and Luigi, friendly and efficient, he was always ready with a smile and never failed to ask if we'd enjoyed our day. We would definitely stay in the Sergios Hotel again, please ignore the negative reviews and try it for yourself.

|1.29km from city centerWe went from 28 May to 4 June. We arrived just before midnight and so were advised to go straight for something to eat and then we were shown to our rooms. Good points - the resort is spotless, I think I saw two items of litter the whole holiday. The food at the buffet was the best of any all inclusive hotel I have been to. Being able to eat at the a la carte restaurants was also a treat. We managed to eat at them all and our favourites were Mademi and Pithos. You can only book one day in advance so top tip is to download the app and at 7.30am bookings for the restaurants open for the following day. This way we got to try all of the restaurants and the food at them all was very impressive and beautifully presented. We weren’t a fan of the main pool which was very busy, Sun loungers were saved early on. But if you explore you will find a pool that suits you. We loved the Pithos Pool, there were always sun loungers available and at times we had the pool to ourselves. Other pools also had loungers available throughout the day. We also weren’t a fan of the beach which is more pebbles than sand and packed with sun loungers but we loved the spot by the sea next to the Medemi restaurant. We always managed to grab a sun lounger and the view of the sea was much prettier here. Great spot for snorkelling. The gyros bar by the main pool is worth a visit for chicken or pork in a pitta wrap with salad and fries. There is also a smoothie/juice bar and ice cream bar next door. The outdoor cinema was also great although we got bitten a lot by mosquitoes so wear protection. The tv in the room had Netflix and YouTube which was great for the day of bad weather we had during our stay. We did struggle to find shelter during a thunderstorm because the bar area was busy but in the original reception area opposite the Estia restaurant we discovered another indoor bar area with lots of seating. The entertainment is less visible than other resorts but I suspect it is just because the resort is so big. They are based by the pool near the water slides. We watched the circus show one evening and the Disney show, both were very good. The staff are all very friendly and clearly take pride in the resort. On one evening my daughter left her bag in a restaurant and as soon as we realised we went to reception and were very impressed that it had already been handed in. We also left a tv fire stick in our room. My husband emailed the hotel to ask for it to just be removed and destroyed. The hotel replied within a few hours to say they had retrieved the device and had posted it back to us. Assuming it arrives back we are very impressed by this level of service. Few ******s if we are being picky… We booked sea view rooms but were on the side of the hotel so had to stand at the edge of the balcony and turn our heads to see a little bit of sea, which was a little disappointing. We were only ever offered one drink with the buffet meals and even with the a la carte book

|0.29km from city centerOften you come somewhere and then the photos turn out to be more beautiful than reality. In this case, a pleasant stroke of luck. Pool is bigger than it looks in the pictures and spotlessly clean. Water not cold. Apartment simple and clean (and also cleaned daily). People very friendly. Mattresses are hard but you get used to it. Center and entertainment venues literally around the corner (leave the area behind and turn left, walk down the street and you're in the nightlife). Parking is a drama. You can park your rental car or quad at the back of the road, but don't be surprised if there are footprints on your hood or car roof the next day. Brits apparently like to walk over cars.....

|0.69km from city centerWe spent 5 days in this beautiful hotel. In this hotel we met the most kind, friendly and responsive people of Greece - the hostess of the hotel and her family. We were met very hospitality with a wide smile and it was a great start to a good rest in Crete. Given that we have just left Santorini, the next strike of ferrymen began and we were very excited by the whole situation and confusion.
Great thanks to the hotel owner for her daily joy, good mood and positive.
The hotel is very good, located on one of the noisy streets of the city, but a little bit away from the noise itself, i.e. sleep was comfortable.
Breakfast and dinner are quite good, for them separate thanks.
There are parking spaces nearby (behind the building opposite the hotel exit).
The rooms are comfortable, there is everything necessary. The beds are comfortable.
The sea is near, 15 minutes walk.
No regrets have chosen this hotel for a holiday in Crete.

|2.75km from city centerThe hotel facilities are very good and new, the swimming is a highlight, and the sunset is especially beautiful. The recliners by the pool need to take a seat in the morning, the towels provided by the recliners and the seat covers are clean and comfortable. The restaurant is romantic and the food is delicious. Hotel service staff try their best to provide services, but seems to be insufficient skills, questions can not be answered in time, need patience, etc. Overall very recommended hotel

|0.84km from city centerWe spent 2 nights at the Acropolis Apartment (25-27 August), but with the sign of then we would have been longer!
The apartment is fantastic in everything, from location, to services, to staff!
The location is excellent: right in front of the apartment there is a road with dress shops, a bar-restaurant, and a supermarket right next to (it is almost right under the apartment, but care about the prices, because they are a little short.. It is not good to buy food there, but to eat in the restaurants outside!). A shorter walk from the main road is reached immediately near a supermarket, a pharmacy and two stops for the KTEL bus: one to Heraklion, (which stops at both the airport and the center of Heraklion); and one that goes east of Crete (then Stalida, Malia, Agios Nikolaos, etc.)
In 5 minutes walk you can also reach the sea-front road, and walking 2 minutes you can access directly to the beach!
The room and services offered are really exceptional for the price paid! Our room was equipped with 2 comfortable and modern beds, spacious desk, a popup, a large mirror, a window door that allowed access to a large balcony with a table and 2 seats. The bathroom was equipped with a bathroom with a tent (I found the bathroom more comfortable than the douches with tent located in other facilities in Crete, because with their showers you risk flooding the floor). The staff does not put the soap at the disposal, so you need to arrange to take it. The kitchen room is large, with a single bed, a sofa, a table with 4 seats, a small refrigerator, a TV, and also here a window door opening on the balcony. There are pads, glasses, dishes, toasts, but there is a swamp and detergent for cleaning the stoves.
The rooms are free of charge and I think you have to pay about €3-4 per device every night to have private wifi. Also the air conditioning is NOT free, but you have to pay a price of €7 per night.
The apartment is equipped with large pool (with beds around), accessible from 9:00 to 18:00
The apartment has common rooms near the reception, on the ground floor and offers a bar-restaurant service at very good prices!
In general, the stay exceeded our expectations much:) We were really very happy!
