Brilliant hotel, stylish, modern and most of all, amazing staff. The staff here are super helpful and hard-working - they are simply brilliant. On our first night there was an issue with the room we were supposed to be booked in for, and were put up in a sister hotel nearby for that night. But we didn’t mind too much as it was late-hours and me and my brother were just ready to crash for the night anyway. But Maria at the desk that night was incredibly sympathetic and made sure we were well looked after. The next morning - we were promptly given our room, plus to our surprise was offered an upgrade to the room - plus half-board for three days and a free beer each. We just took the free beer and the half board and stuck with the original room to not take advantage. But the gesture meant a lot, even if we weren’t hugely inconvenienced by that one night. Another amazing staff member we met here is Erica - she’s super welcoming and talkative and helped us learn a-lot of really useful Greek survival phrases. Thanks Erica! Other great things to mention at the hotel are the free gym, the spa (a paid extra), and the brilliant food. The food is great value for money and generous, not to mention just damn delicious! Our one-and-only complaint is that the drink prices are quite steep compared to bars nearby - most hotel barest it’s the opposite. But hey - that’s minor just minor nit-picking for the sake of feedback. So, if you want a relaxed, modern hotel, that serves as the perfect base for Hersonissos - come here. You’re guaranteed to leave with new friends.

I’ve just returned from a week at cooks club and wanted to write my thoughts in a fair way as there are lots of pros about this hotel but also a few cons Pro’s The hotel is in a good location with easy access to the shops and restaurants along the beach front. The hotel is modern with a lovely pool area and the rooms are to a good standard. The breakfast was nice and plenty to choose from, everything fresh & great omelettes. The staff (Erika) was amazing such a great asset to the hotel, she adds a really personal touch which myself and my friends loved. The evening entertainment was good and always something going on. Cons The pool area until around 1pm is a lovely place to be however after this time it turns incredibly busy with extremely loud house music playing until about 7.30pm No problem however I think the hotel could make it a little clearer that this is the vibe. We also noticed a lot of people who don’t stay at the hotel frequent the pool and the bar area…again not a problem if there were enough sun loungers to go around but there are not. We were woken throughout the night by our neighbours playing extremely loud music, upon speaking with reception a few times this was sorted. Myself and my friends would stay at a cooks club hotel again however possibly not in this location.

We went to Cooks Club the last week in October, the hotel was due to close two days after we left, we were very lucky with the weather, sunny and warm all week, we had room 312. We are a couple just over 60, like many when we arrived on the road outside, the entrance was a little unusual, but walk through the lorry container and it opens out into the pool area and reception. We arrived mid afternoon whilst the DJ was playing his set by the pool, we were a bit unsure that we had chosen the right place, but as others have said, whilst the music is loud, it does not interfere with relaxing, there are sunbeds in an area away from the pool that does not have speakers. I am sure had we gone in the main season weeks, it would have had a much younger cliental, and been much busier. We found the rooms to be excellent, with comfortable beds, only downside was no kettle in the room, the hotel does not provide them. The cleaners do a great job of keeping the rooms clean, with towels changed every day. Safe deposit box and air con are included in the room, as are beach/pool towels just remember to take them back. We stayed bed and breakfast, so can only comment on the breakfast, because we ate out on the night, plenty of choice at breakfast with hot and cold selections. Overall, a great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, we would stay there again, but would probably stick to the start or the end of the season.

I solo travelled for a week in Crete and stayed at Cooks Club Hersonissos. I had such a fantastic time that it broke my heart to leave; I really enjoyed my experience there and would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of planning a vacation in Crete. The location was great, beaches nearby, shops nearby, good public transport. The ***** nearby also great. I travelled ‘off season’ as it was October, but loved the peace and the lower level of tourism. I was half board; food was great. Breakfast had lots of options, snacks and dinner also was good. Everything tasted nice and fresh. I surprisingly preferred the food system this hotel provided over normal buffet systems hotels have. Food was made fresh when ordered and I thoroughly enjoyed. Lots of amazing options outside of the hotel nearby too. Chefs and cantina staff were all so smiley and lovely. The staff overall were just so, SO lovely. Big shoutouts to Magda, Nadia, Erika, Reece, Johnathan, George and Galatios. Even though it was the end of what I was told was a very busy season, all of the staff were just so incredibly helpful and just so lovely and hardworking. I felt so safe and welcomed. It really did add to the experience. The bar was great, the hotel was clean and beautiful with the mountains overlooking the pool area outside. My room was always cleaned nicely, everything about my stay was seamless and I would’ve happily stayed another week knowing I’d be having a great time. The entertainment in the evenings and the DJ during the day by the pool was great. I’d love to return, I truly had such a great stay. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

So first off, I ideally wanted an all inclusive Caribbean holiday but in October, the chance of storms etc sacked that off. I usually do luxury, adult only holidays. Instead my boyfriend and I thought we’d try a European holiday. Crete here we go! Sun, to relax and good food was what we had on the agenda. I’m not going to lie, I was sceptical on Cooks Club, but after trawling Trip Advisor and many holiday websites, we settled on this. First impressions count right? Well ignore them! We pulled up on a busy street wondering where the bus had dropped us off. We found a small opening and in we went. Maybe intimidating arriving midday with the music going and groups of people all settled into their holiday. Dismiss this feeling also! Check in was easy and simple. The idea of the App was perfect for us and we used the reception live chat a few times! The room was small, but after unpacking and sorting out or luggage, it was ideal for a week in the sun! As it was 5 o’clock when we arrived, we decided to venture along the street for a drink and to look around. Less ‘Benidorm’ vibes than I initially pictured/panicked on the bus ride. Loads of nice bars, places and shops. We ended up having a drink out and going back for food! The half board option is fantastic! Grab a drink at the restaurant bar and order food from the certain sections. Food is fresh and delicious. We never had problems finding a sunbed, nice vibes, music and a variety of people and nationalities! The DJ is great, music is ‘loud’ but never full on tracks and just there in the background. We would 100% stay again in a Cooks Club hotel but avoiding July/August time as that’s when it is more party vibes!

A random find after discovering our hotel in turkey was a shambles... We originally booked a different holiday to Turkey in a supposed spa hotel that turned out to be a nightmare hotel. We changed to Cooks Club Crete at the last minute. Not knowing what to expect bar the professional pictures we were relieved when we arrived at the hotel and it was everything we were expecting. From check-in with the guy from Manchester, going through everything from the app to towels and everything in-between it was so easy to the point I thought we missed something. The hotel was stunning, we arrived at 11PM and even then it was stunning with all the lights and the chill vibe music but in the day it was even better, more than enough sun loungers or beanbags to lay on all day, clean pool and great music. Think Beach Club but as a hotel and more chilled out! We got to our room (354) and although we were on the top floor at the back of the hotel it wasn't too far away. The room was massive, modern and clean! The only negative of the room was the lack of a full length mirror and we did not have the best of views onto a building site (although quiet as no longer working on the site) as not pool facing but that just meant we got the sun in the morning on the balcony and the sun at the pool from around 12pm. The rooms were however cleaned perfectly and fresh towels/sheets were provided as often or as little as you wanted. Now for the food, we stayed half board and this was a little different to what we have been used to in the past. The hotel operates a balance system through their app. Strange at first but as you go you get used to it. The food is fantastic, I cant even begin to describe. We don't usually eat much on holiday but not this time! Stavros and his team were absolutely fantastic! The chefs are all so friendly and remember you each and every day.. ! The waiters and waitresses are so attentive, namely George.. they cant do enough for you and nothing is a problem. The hotel app is great, they notify you of all hotel entertainment and events or promos. The movie night etc, something i never thought i would go to but was great to just chill and have drinks on the loungers watching a film. The DJ's and live music nights are brilliant so you don't even have to leave the hotel if you don't want to. Reviews are inherently subjective and everyone has their own experiences and I've seen some scathing reviews here i feel are not fair. I would say this hotel might not be for elderly or people expecting a quiet time with no music etc, this is a beach club hotel. We were woken up only once during our time here but i can imagine in the height of season this could happen more often. This was our first time to Creta, there is so much to do and see and I'm just wishing we had longer there.
