We stayed for graduation and the location was near the colleges. This is a new property, very clean, nice mid-range hotel. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good and well-attended. The beds were comfortable. The only quibble I have is $15 for the self-park. Otherwise, perfect for what we wanted. Good choice if you are attending a college event.

OK, so I totally understand the fact that they say they are under renovation and will give you credits for dining, happy hours, etc. But… And huge bite, this hotel sucked even years ago before they were ever undergoing renovation. So I’m excited to see what’s to come. I will also preface this review let me start this with the fact that I am a huge Marriott fan. Truthfully, I would not even be an American if it wasn’t for the Marriott Corp (long story born in carribean). My dad worked for Marriott for over 25!years and was GM and then on to corporate so I grew up in hotel industry, I even got a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, Management, and worked for Marriott in sales and a few other capacities for several years and then quit for reasons that are not relevant to this post. Nonetheless, I am extremely loyal to the company. It actually pains me to give a negative review. I have stayed at several hotels throughout the years that have deserved a negative review and I have a refrained because it wasn’t that important. This time I just can’t help myself. So - I am not sure what this hotel “renovation” entails, but in the hotel industry cleanliness is top priority. These hotel room bathrooms are tiny, but that’s ok… the not ok part is the showers have black tile walls and black floors. That is absolutely disgusting. I cannot see if they have been cleaned thoroughly, I do not know what I am standing on, and that is absolutely disgusting. Totally unacceptable for an upscale brand hotel. Furthermore, the carpet is on the darker side and it has a damp feeling, which is just as gross. Am I standing in piss, steam cleaned carpet, or cleaned up vomit, etc.? I have absolutely no idea because I can’t tell because of the color. The sinks are so tiny and there is absolutely no room to put any of your toiletries. I won’t even bring up the fact that I came into the hotel and had to use the bathroom terribly. Didn’t even bother to turn on the light, lifted the toilet seat and sat down, and my rear end got totally drenched. Just about died, stood up, smelled it and it was piss. Not from my teenagers in my own house, but piss from somebody random. How am I checking into a hotel that is not the red roof Inn and having piss on my toilet seat. Unacceptable obviously 😝. I had a very long day of work - went down to the restaurant in the lobby (Shulas) ate dinner, got a glass of wine, came back up to my room, did more work, answered some phone calls and emails. At 10:45 PM needed to take a shower so I turned on the water and noticed I had no towels in my bathroom for showering. No bath towels! None to be found anywhere! Did they even clean my room? Prob not hence the piss! . Tried to call the front desk. It took me 15 minutes to get a hold of anybody in either the front desk or housekeeping. Finally I got a knock on my door and it was the sweet valet girl bringing me towels. I have to say valet was awesome, I had to get my car out for a couple reasons because I left w

The hotel was clean and breakfast was simple but decent. Was a little disappointed with the bathroom cleanliness and amenities. There was no hand bar soap, the travel bottles they give you look like they were not new and had not been replaced. I know for sure with the body wash.. it was empty and water came out. When I went to clean up the water with a washcloth there was makeup residue on it. Overall it was a good stay.. nothing can be perfect.

I have been to this hotel many times over the last decade. It seems to have deteriorated a lot since my last visit, although for the price probably matches the quality. The rooms don't seem to be particularly clean, poorly maintained, bedding torn and faded, fridge door broken, there is no coffee making facility in the rooms. Coffee can be obtained from reception sometimes. There is no breakfast offered but there is a Denny's diner across the street. The hotel does have some laundry facility which is useful.

Stayed here for a few months on Buisness. The amenities such as the pool, laundry room, and workout room were very well kept and clean. The staff in the main lobby as well as the restaurant were all professional and friendly and more than accommodating. The food in the restaurant was excellent and I consider myself to be a “foodie”. House keeping was consistent and thorough which has not been the case at most other hotels I’ve stayed at since covid. Proximity to the city and the highway can’t get any better. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend this hotel and its exceptional staff. Deirdre and Jarah are shining examples of what true customer service should be. If you are looking for a place to stay with a warm, friendly, and welcoming staff, this is definitely the hotel for you. This hotel boasts a variety of outstanding amenities. The hotel restaurant, for example, is not to be missed. The menu is diverse and features a variety of delicious options that are sure to please even the most discerning palate. Whether you're in the mood for something light and refreshing or something hearty and filling, the restaurant is sure to have something that will hit the spot. The hotel bar is another standout feature of this property. The perfect place to unwind after a long day of working or exploring the local area. Try a classic cocktail or something more inventive and enjoy the cozy atmosphere For guests who prefer to stay active, the hotel also offers an indoor pool. If you want to swim a few laps or just take a refreshing dip, the pool is open year-round, so no matter what the weather is like outside, you can always enjoy a swim in the comfort of the hotel. The gym is well-equipped with a variety of fitness equipment for those who want to get in a workout. All in all, this hotel offers a fantastic combination of outstanding customer service, clean comfortable rooms, delicious dining options, inviting outdoor spaces, and great indoor amenities. Two thumbs up!

It was totally clean room with clean lines! Despite other negative reviews, we had a very comfortable staying in a Clean room. Location was easy to find and convenient for traveling via interstate. Lots of shops and restaurants/fast foods are available near by. Compared to how clean a room was vs. water pressure of shower being weak was nothing. Yes, recommend this hotel.

I don't know the peop0le in the kitchen but that was the best hot breakfast i had in a long time!! We had a suite the room was so clean and nice. As someone who worked in housekeeping and very picky I was impressed at the cleanness of the entire hotel. The only issue we had was the vanity light was out and for that was not a big deal. I can't wait to see the amazing staff again because i didn't get to do too much sight seeing i was see my first grandchild and that was i lil more important :-)

This hotel has an excellent location, but it seemed like a lot of the guests were a bit sketchy. There were people loitering around every exit door, lots of people sitting in their cars for hours until late at night, pacing around the grounds, driving in and out of the parking lot really fast while blasting their supercharged stereo systems, etc. There were almost no families or female travelers at this hotel. It was mostly males, either alone or in pairs. I didn't feel safe using any door of the hotel except for the front door because of all the guys just hanging around the grounds. The hotel itself is dark and musty, with extremely long hallways. It felt really creepy.

I am a Hilton Diamond status member. I stay at Homewood suites quite frequently. I have stayed at this property several times. It was never a favorite but was acceptable due to its location near the airport. On this trip in particular, the rooms I was put in were very dirty. I refused to stay in the first room I was given so I asked to be moved to another, which was just as bad. I truly am not a fussy traveler but in this case I should have left and stayed elsewhere. It seems the cleaning standards are starting to fall behind. Not only are the rooms less than desired, the entire facility is in need of some tlc and detailed cleaning. I did speak to the manager the morning I checked out. She is very understanding and said she was going to speak to the housekeeping manager about the standards. For now, I will not be returning. Just a little too far on the dirty side for me for the cost. The night staff at the front desk could be a little more friendly and concerned as well.

Went for FSU parents weekend, got this room last minute so we were a bit nervous. So happy to say it was perfect for what we were there for. Price was higher than normal, but I get that’s the norm for busy college weekends. Room and entire property was clean and updated, just like the pics show. We had zero issues. Easy 10-12 min Uber to/from campus for games etc. The interior hallways were def warmer than the rooms, but seriously, not a reason to complain or leave a bad review especially since I don’t usually hang out in the hallways of the hotels I stay in lol. I wish I remembered the girls name at the front desk when we checked in, but she was SO friendly and efficient. Kudos to her for welcoming your BW guests with such kindness and professionalism. She is the face of your business and should be commended on job very well done! Overall great stay

Our go to place when traveling through the area. 2nd time staying, and both times were clean and comfortable. Consistency is key to keeping repeat customers and this location has been for us. Alfonso at the front desk has been there both times and has been a courteous, friendly face to greet us. His personality and customer service is an additional bonus to make us want to return. Definitely will stay here again when needing an overnight stay in the area. Only downside, location isn’t convenient to I-10, but worth the slight detour off the freeway.

We arrived in the evening as a stop on our Big 2022 Road Trip. We were greeted by a friendly desk attendant in a non-air-conditioned lobby. We received our room cards and were instructed to ”park behind the partying contractors in the parking lot”. We let the ranchera music serenade us as we parked in a very busy lot for that late at night and proceeded past the picturesque courtyard and through the debris-strewn hallways to our room. We opened the ”experienced” door and saw a large room with a newer hardwood floor - but couldn't see much, as several light bulbs were broken or unplugged in the room and bath. Also, the AC was set at 61 degrees, but wasn't cooling at all - we removed the cover and saw that much of the AC mechanism was covered in crud and also iced up. We put a fan on the AC ice to melt it and see if it would work better and began to move in. Once Jose (a really nice maintenance man) brought bulbs and re-plugged some lights, we could see the walls were rather stained and the floor not exactly clean. The large flat-screen TV was good, but there was no remote. We went back to the front desk and asked for hand towels (none in the room) and a remote. We received a remote, but were told no towels at all were available in the evening. We settled in the warm and humid room and tried to relax, thankful that the walls did shut out all the festivities outside. But that's when we saw a small army of cockroaches swarm our bags on the table under the TV looking to share our snacks. We went to bed, but the AC never worked properly and we think the cockroaches stole some of our good cookies. We replenished our ice at the machine and went on our way. We wanted to speak with a manager, but after a somewhat long wait (behind other disgruntled customers) we were told one was not onsite and ”they'd take our comments”. Likes: friendly staff, nice courtyard, convenient location, good ice machine, reasonable price Dislikes: AC never worked (sweaty sleep isn't fun), very grubby room, light issues, insufficient towels, pool out of service, and those darn cockroaches

I drove all the way from Maryland to Florida and booked my room online with my visa/mastercard bank card. When i arrived i was told i could NOT check in with my card and that i had to use a credit card. While i have stayed at an Extended Stay in the past i have NEVER had this happen before. I also got in after 12am and asked if i can just check in for that day instead of a day that was passed and was told that I wouldnt be able to check in until 3pm. REALLY? I am here and my room is ready now, why would i have to wait? So i leave to try and find a hotel with an opening and pet friendly after 12am. I find the most run down hotel, whose name i wont mention, and check in. A couple of days later i am billed on the same card the hotel wouldnt accept for a NO SHOW. How was i a NO SHOW when i was there and turned away? I will NEVER stay at another extended stay again.

The GM Tony was great, The over night guy/Peter was great as always. A very funny guy he has a story for us every night. The rooms was clean and ready. I would have giving it a 5 star rating, But I ran into two things that need to be addressed. The lady That wears the mask was not heplful at all. I asked for a blanket and she made it a big deal. She came back without and was not caring at all. The day I was tryin to check out, I went to the counter and there was no one there. I stood there for about 5 to 7 minutes finally a young lady came over from the far left after tending to her kids, which I thought was very unprofessional to bring your small children to work... She came over and checked me out. Other then that my stay was great!!

Stayed here one night on a trip from Texas to south Florida. This is the only hotel across those states where the staff was wearing masks (during the Delta surge). The pool was great; we usually don't get in hotel pools on car trips because they are always cloudy or dirty, this was super clean and a refreshing temp. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Staff was helpful, and the hotel is very easy access to I-10 with many restaurants nearby.

Sofa bed not really a bed!! Just a very uncomfortable hard platform that is hard to even open. Thankfuly Tori was helpful getting it open. Because the room was so smal for my husband and three granddaughters we had to rent a second foom - not connected so we were running up and down the hall. The kitchens were far from complete. No tongs and the exhaust fan did not remove smoke so we set off the smoke detector EVERY morning!! Someone had to fan the detector every time we cooked. You can't open a window either so they sent someone up to take care of opening the window. In the second studio room there was not even a place to sit and eat so we all had to eat in the other room which meant hauling dishes etc up and down the hall. The good is that the front desk gal was very helpful and Tori was really helpful for us. It was too cold for the pool. If you wanted to use the elevator (which I ned) you had to walk all the way down the hall and then back to get to the car. You will hear sirens all night as well. The hotel looked to have been rather newly decorated and we found it to be clean.
