Hotel wasn't my choice. Arrangements made through third party. Found to be in a good location to move around Boston on foot. Not too far from main downtown area. Comfortable rooms, good ammenities and friendly, accomodating staff.

Stayed here twice recently and the hotel staff were great about honoring my request for a quiet room. They upgraded me where possible for my ambassador status. Where I do have a difficulty is the destination fee. Not only was I not told at either check in experience what it included to actually try to make use of the amenities, but if it’s something already included in elite member benefits such as internet access, the hotel is supposed to offer an alternative benefit. With all of this disregarded, the fee is just a greedy revenue making opportunity. I get that you can charge it, just be upfront and transparent so I have some chance of trying to get a tiny bit of value from it. At least give me more than one bottle of water for $25 a night... Other good aspects were the Saturday morning service at brunch. I was seated just inside the entrance both times and the server is very attentive and pleasant. The food at the bar was consistently good comfort food and efficient service. Despite my diatribe about the destination fee I think this hotel is a solid choice and reasonably priced, in line with the other choices in Boston right now.

I spent a week in Boston (Sept 2019), and so I split the trip between 2 hotels. I started the first half of the trip staying at The Boxer, and it was perfect. The location was perfect for walking the north end of Boston. I took an Uber from the airport to the hotel, and the rest was on foot. First, Mike at the main desk was A-mazing. He was fun, friendly and provided a ton of information for our trip. His recommendations were spot on. The hotel is not big, and the rooms are quite... cozy, but it was charming. With so much to see in Boston, you don't need a lot in a hotel room.

We spent the first night of our honeymoon with XV Beacon 16 years ago and returned this year for a staycation since travel is so difficult now. What a wonderful oasis in the heart of the city. Really should not have waited so long to return. I say "with" instead of "at" because you feel so well cared for, it's not just a property. What has changed in 16 years? The addition of the roof deck which we enjoyed every day. What's not changed at all? Elegant and gracious service. Beautiful rooms, delightful amenities. Even though we live very close, we got to explore Beacon Hill as visitors, returning each day to be cossetted in luxury. The room service from Moo was wonderful. Car service is gracious, (thank you Mark!) and particularly helpful during this time. A deep soaking tub was my favorite part of the suite. Oh wait, maybe it was the bed covered in Frette linens? The bathrobe? No, it was the fireplace. Caviar service in our room! Who could choose? We arrived a little beaten down by the pandemic. We left refreshed and delighted to rediscover the city we love from a new perspective.

The good . . . . The facilities seemed well maintained and decorated smartly. The breakfast and coffee were good. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable with numerous power and USB outlets. Things to work on . . . OK, I came in with a group of 17 and I was the leader. Having just completed a 8 day tour of Iceland and moving the group from hotel to hotel, I was surprised at how confused and inefficient the staff seemed at check-in. Our group had just 7 rooms for a brief overnight until we could catch our last flight home the next day. I booked 6 rooms using my cc and my Booking.com account and then I booked another room just for me (according to Onyx's requirement). This really seemed to throw them for a loop. Check-in took about 20 minutes but it seemed much longer. The staff (Noah, Vince) were nice and friendly but the situation of multiple bookings by 1 person for 16 others seemed to either overwhelm them or maybe it was the hotel booking software. Again, the staff were nice and brought us waters as we were tired and the staff eventually got everyone settled. Another issue, I only book where breakfast is indicated as "free breakfast included" and the booking confirmations all indicate this clearly for this particular hotel; however, there was a lot of confusion over this as the hotel had a very confusing policy of $50 per 2 guests per room and if you had 3 guests in a room there was an extra "free" breakfast ticket. And there would be a charge and it would be credited . . . . . .Anyway, we'll see "free" this really is because a breakfast wrap was $16 and an omelette was $20. My suggestion to management is to clearly indicate that "free breakfast" is limited to a $16 item + 1 beverage (according to the breakfast-restaurant personnel). It just seems way too complicated. The rooms were over $1600 and for the headaches, honestly, I would probably stay somewhere else on my next visit.

The Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel, is in a great location close to shopping, The Freedom Trail, Beacon Hill, Faneuil Hall, theatre and restaurants. The staff is amazing very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We had a beautiful corner room with a fantastic view of Boston's skyline. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. This hotel offered a complementary happy hour and hot chocolate with marshmallows was always available in the lobby. There is valet parking on the property which was made effortless by the wonderful staff. I would highly recommend this hotel..

Boston City Center
One of the cheapest, if not the cheapest centrally located Marriott, it’s good if you’re budget conscious but certainly a get what you pay for situation. Water in the room is $5 a carton and not an ideal set up if you plan on doing work. In house food options are limited but at least they’re serving right now. Location was great for my personal needs in the theatre district type area. The room was also quiet as I had requested so I was very pleased about this. It’s fine in a pinch but there are much better options in Boston and given they’re only slightly more expensive right now, I’d select another option. Not as good as my experience at the DC property which I thought was overall excellent.

Boston City Center
This was my second stay at this hotel. It always amazes me how magnificent (large) it is. It is really conveniently located. Very centrally located in between very touristy streets of Boylston and Park Plaza and walking distance to CBD area, while tucked away in a relatively quiet street one block away. I did not use the facilities other than the bar and coffee shop, which were great. The room I stayed in this time, a king size bed, was a bit small; the bottom of the bed was too squished close to the TV and wall. It should be okay for one person, but it would have been a bit difficult for two people. The air con was cranked to high and I couldn't find room temp controller. It was a hot summer stay and I did not mind it too much, except for one day when I stayed in my room to do a bit of work.

Hotel facilities are very good, the surrounding shopping malls and supermarkets are very convenient. When I was very close, I walked to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with my husband, walked through the Harvard Bridge, and saw a lot of running. I really love sports. The supermarket solved the breakfast, and the checkout at the checkout counter after breakfast was very delicious. There are major brands in the surrounding shopping malls, you can stroll around, less than 300 meters after the lobster burger shop, you must taste delicious. At the entrance of the hotel, the taxi to the airport price list of 38.5 US dollars a baggage total gave 40, before not to say more than 20, I doubled, and it is not clear why.

We just wanted to thank you for a wonderful weekend at your hotel. I realize we're in a pandemic but your hotel (which was sadly very empty) went above and beyond to help us in any way. We had a great view from the 24th floor and the hotel is just steps away from the back bay, wonderful restaurants and lots of shopping. Our daughter is a student at northeastern and she was a 15 min walk from her campus. We will never stay anywhere else when we are visiting boston. Thank you to all the pleasant staff as they did the best they could to make us feel as comfortable as possible! Keep up the good work and we'll see you in the spring! We even enjoyed the snow and the cold weather since we're from Florida!

I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The rooms are medium sized but I was upgraded due to Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status. The in-room amenities were excellent and included bathtub, work desk and a flat screen TV. Beds were large and comfortable and blankets were really good. My main complaint is with the air-conditioning unit. It was noisy and placed on the ground, thereby leading to inconvenience and vibrations. Not to mention that the angle of the vent was also odd. There is a nice restaurant on site which is open till late night. Food is good and value for money. The hotel has a pool table, outdoor game area and many conference rooms. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider going there again especially for the views of the Boston Seaport and reasonably priced rooms.

The male staff in the evening shift is very friendly, very patient, always smiling, and the service is very good! It rained outside and I also borrowed an umbrella for me. The room was great, my room was on the top floor, there was a balcony in the room and the bed was very comfortable! The location is very good, just in the city center, to various attractions, shopping and shopping, the surrounding restaurants are very convenient, it should be the best hotel I have ever stayed on this trip! If you have the chance to go to Berlin again, you have to choose this hotel!
