|4.98km from city centerWe had a stopover in Swindon so that we could travel to Stonehenge for my wife’s birthday. I asked the hotel in advance to do something to mark the occasion, which they did very well. When we checked in, the room had balloons and happy birthday messages all around the room. Another thing that impressed me was the breakfast. I have just been to a Premier Inn hotel in London on business at the time of writing this review. While Premier Inn offers slightly more variety in their breakfast foods, the quality of food in this Holiday Inn Express is exceptional, light years ahead of Premier Inn. Well done, Holiday Inn Express Swindon West!

|5.02km from city centerFirstly our room was not a superior room but it was lovely. Large bed that was very comfortable the room was clean, if it hadn’t been I wouldn’t of stayed in there. There was plenty of space and enough drawers and hanging space to hang enough clothes for 4 nights. There were no glasses in the bathroom so we got some from reception who said they usually only leave them in a superior room (yes thought that was strange). My only complaint with the room was the WiFi which to be honest was pathetic. We were in Room 124 and had no WiFi at all. But it wasn’t much better in different areas of the hotel. As for food on our first morning there was only scrambled egg and no fried eggs, which was disappointing. After that there was fried eggs every morning with bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and hash browns. Unfortunately parts of the breakfast were usually cold such as the bacon. If the plates had been heated this would have helped. We only ate in the evening once and was disappointed so didn’t try it again. I ordered the 8 ounce sirloin steak - medium rare., with salad. The steak which arrived was definitely not 8 ounces (before cooking) more like 6 ounces. It was also cooked medium to well done. Chips had been on the menu but I was told I could have new potatoes, which I chose I did not expect them to be fried ! And as for the salad how on earth can a handful of lettuce be described as a salad? Hubby had fish (no idea what fish) and chips, which were frozen. So the one star was lost on the food. But I would certainly stay here again and will be when we return to Swindon next year.

|0.74km from city centerMy mother and I checked in to Jury's Hotel Swindon for what was to be a short two-day stay for a convention. Due to a medical emergency and then us both falling ill, our two day stay turned into a seven day one. Jury's became our home away from home and couldn't have been better. The staff were all extremely supportive and kind given our unfortunate situation. I didn't catch anyone's name, but I wanted to especially thank two members of staff who helped me with my mother when she fell very ill and needed to go to the emergency room. The two ladies went above and beyond their usual work duties without any hesitation. I owe them a huge debt of gratitude and I certainly hope their supervisors recognize the amazing staff they are so fortunate to have. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view of Swindon, which is a charming town. Especially old town Swindon, just up the street from the hotel. It's centrally located on many major bus lines and is a short walk from the bus station. The buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious, as was every meal we had from the restaurant. My only complaint is that the room did not have a mini-fridge or microwave, which would have been extremely convenient for us, but we were able to eat just fine between the food delivery apps available and the hotel restaurant. I wish every hotel was Jury's Inn Swindon caliber. Well done. 👏

|0.63km from city centerThe hotel staff were brilliant. A really good team who couldn't do enough to help us. Breakfast was excellent; well cooked and presented nicely. We were there to go to an event at the Steam Museum and we found that the hotel, whilst a distance away from the venue was ideal for our purposes.

|5.66km from city centerHeld a Celebration of Life here - family gathering for about 40 people. Everything was just right. The staff were really helpful, both on the day and in helping with planning the event. The buffet lunch was really good quality, with plenty of food and a good range of options. The event space was ideal for us, with use of a separate side room, everything easily accessible for those with mobility issues, etc. We had folk travelling to the event from various directions, so the location just off the M4 was very handy. It's two minutes off the motorway but you feel like you are in the countryside. Some of the group stayed overnight and said the rooms were very comfortable.

|0.99km from city centerWhen I booked the hotel, I wrote a parking lot. I didn’t go there. I have to pay another 9.5 pounds to the nearby parking lot. The service is not good. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 rooms. On the first night, we told the front desk that we wanted to change the second night. 1 is not changed.

|2.87km from city centerOn arrival there was a delay with checking in as my booking could not be found. I arrived 3 minutes before an online work commitment and was told it's up to me to call my agent because they did not have the booking, despite me being able to show a confirmation. Informed that I could not afford to spend 20 minutes on the phone with them. After a while they then realised another staff member already checked me in. I would imagine that staff is trained to first check all possible scenarios (arrival list, in house list, cancelled booking, no show, etc) before inconveniencing and worrying the guest. Stayed in room 229, large pink stain on the carpet, carpet is up for replacement. Bathroom was ok, but shower dial is loose. When changing temperature it takes 20 seconds for the change to pull through the shower head so for a first time guest was playing around with it and found it challenging to get the temperature I wanted. Showers in mens changing room in the pool need work. Silicone around shower entirely moulded. 80% of the lockers are out of action. Jacuzzi was not working. Bedside light bulb not working. Maid walked into my room a little after 9am. She has no right to enter print to my check out time. breakfast was so so. Asked for poached eggs. A plate with two watered down poached eggs arrived which tasted far too strongly like vinegar which was clearly used in the water to prepare them. No croissants, pain au chocolate or bread available for at least 5-10 minutes and despite 3 staff they only replenished when they were informed by guests and did not notice themselves.

|6.47km from city centerSo we decided on a one night stay in a standard double room with optional evening meal and breakfast . The room had everything you need including A/C and the usual tv , Wi-Fi and coffee making facilities. The room was ultra clean with a lovely en-suite bathroom with both bath and shower over the bath . The only downside was the size of the room which was really very small and no room to unpack our case even . We ate in the restaurant and our starters and mains were absolutely delicious with lots of choice . A bit loud at times due to a large business table but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal . To sum up this is a beautiful hotel set in acres of quiet country side . It really is a stunning setting and we loved how peaceful it was . We will come again but will make sure to upgrade to a better room for sure .

|3.75km from city centerStayed recently for work and always like to make use of the gym when I stay away. Decided to start my days by taking part in the circuit classes run by Lee. Lee was great - motivational, welcoming and knowledgable and made me feel at ease. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again!

|0.51km from city centerI stayed for two weeks whilst on business. The price for a single room and double was the same, so they gave me a double taking into account how long I was staying with them. The room was nice and spacious, plenty of storage space. Everything seemed recently refurbished in the last few years. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help: they made me a packed lunch instead of breakfast because I requested it, they let my girlfriend stay over for a weekend with no hassle at all. They even changed the wifi for me so I could have more bandwidth to do my online tutoring.

|2.46km from city centerWe needed an overnight to break our journey on the M4. This was ideal. Quick, friendly check-in with hot brealfast pre-ordered. Room and bed OK for what we paid (but would have liked two pillows and more tea bags.) Bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower good though lacking a grab rail over the bath. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and hot breakfast nicely cooked. Large well lit car park with CCTV. We would use this hotel again.

|1.23km from city centerThe breakfast was good, the parking was free, the Easter was caught, and the chocolate with the hazelnut stuffing was also delivered. Swinton is a small town, very small, the Chinese food in the town is very difficult to eat, it is recommended that everyone have dinner at the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was large.
