|3.49km from city centerI had a one night stay before boarding a cruise ship in Vancouver. I booked this DUMP online. My God, it was horrible. The drapes were falling apart....The floor was tacky underfoot. You could not use the shower because the hot water handle was totally loose. I was in room 9. There was no stopper in the wash basin. So we took a sponge bath. I did call to the front desk and he offered to change us to room 10. I declined because I didn't think it could be much better. My advice, you'd be better off sleeping in your car. That's how bad it was. Air conditioner - we could not seem to shut off. It was one of those tiny things in the wall. We didn't need it because it was in the 50's.

|3.04km from city centerDuring the epidemic, the restaurant and ** were not open, and the facilities were not available. The hotel parking lot has sufficient parking spaces and the location is often convenient. You can go to the room through the lobby.

|0.14km from city centerWe went to Canada for business purposes. Each of us had a room on a different floor - I ended up on the 7th floor and a room with a mountain view. A colleague ended up lower and there was already only a view of the shopping center. But these are not aspects of the hotel's rating. I subtract one star for the dry air and buzzing air conditioner in the room. The rest OK. Breakfasts correct, service courteous.

|0.15km from city centerThe service at the front desk is very good, very welcoming, and the location of the scenery is also very good, but there are no slippers provided in the room, and finally bring a pair by yourself

|4.82km from city centerThe location is average, it is a bit noisy to keep the road. Hotel facilities are relatively simple, air conditioning is not easy to use. Breakfast is free, but only juice and bread are too shabby.

|0.36km from city centerThey advertise their rooms as having air conditioning but this is not true as the room we were checked into had a evaporative air cooler. The cooling system in the room didn't work and they were completely aware of this but did not mention a single thing to us at check-in. We had to constantly fill the bucket from the air cooler with ice cold water in order to get any cool air in the room. They told us it should last 8 hours but the machine started beeping at 3:30am after we had just filled it with ice cold water right before bed. It's ridiculous to have to go fetch ice and change the water out in the middle of the night. We were told that they were fully booked and they couldn't move us. There were also lots of mosquitoes in the room - our best guess was that the big bucket of water from the machine made it a nice environment for them. The nights were hot, stuffy and annoying with the mosquitoes bothering us. We were not able to have a good nights sleep at all. The toilet and bathtub are also not renovated. The toilet seat was peeling and really disgusting. The bathtub does not drain well at all when you are showering. The room we were assigned was also right behind the elevators. Whenever the elevators were in use, we heard banging all the time - even in the middle of the night. We usually ask for a room away from the elevators but we haven't been able to access our rewards account to see if it's still noted despite asking for password reset help multiple times and having no response. Cleanliness was also a problem - the floors were sticky and they haven't cleaned under the sofabed in a long time. Housekeeping also asked us one morning if we needed our room cleaned and we declined. That night, we had a card slipped under our door indicating that they will do a wellness check within 24 hours since they haven't heard from us - we just spoke with them THAT morning. We've stayed here many times before and spoke highly of this hotel but we will no longer recommend it to anyone.

|1.34km from city centerWestern breakfast is particularly delicious. Many waiters are Chinese who speak Mandarin. They are very kind to introduce you to the place. There are also Mandarin speaking rooms at the front desk. The air-conditioning is very late. They also come to help us with cleaning. Standard but nice people. One day it was three o'clock in the general election and we could get off work. We cleaned the room and cleaned the room before work. The cleanliness was very comfortable. Jin Jiang Shanghai Restaurant is next to it. Eating is very convenient. There are too many Chinese restaurants on the main road of Kingsway. Very good experience. I will stay here next time. The only thing is the deposit on the credit card when I checked in. It ’s been more than 20 days after check-out. It seems that I have n’t returned.

|4.11km from city centerMy husband and I stayed one night at the Burnaby location in order to attend a dinner function nearby. We checked into our room and the heater was already on and set at 68 and seemed to be working OK. Shortly after we arrived in the room, a maintenance person knocked on the door to see how the heater was working. That should have clued us in as to what would happen next. A bit later, the unit started to spit out cooler air. I might add that the unit never cycled off and on as it should. I turned the unit up to around 72 to see if that would make a difference but no it did not. We contacted the front desk and within 5 minutes, maintenance came to check. We were told that the heater had to remain at 68, no higher or it wouldn’t work. I have never heard of such a thing. High temperature in Vancouver was mid 40's dipping into the 30's at night. By this time, it was 5:30 and we had to head out the door for the dinner event at 6PM. I wish we would have demanded a different room, because when we returned it was definitely cooler in the room. We were both tired and needed to leave the hotel early in the morning so we decided to “gut it out”. I looked for additional blankets and there were none. I wound up sleeping a total of 2 hours in my coat. This was not a comfortable experience. I am generously giving this property 2 stars as the room itself was clean and the bedding was comfortable. The front desk clerk kindly gave us a 50% discount for our discomfort which was the best she could do, but when I contacted their HQ was offered a 50% discount off a future stay. Don't think I will take them up on that offer, but thanks anyway.
