The hotel is in a good location, easy walking distance to all the sights and it’s very close to the iconic Hotel National de Cuba, which is a must see! The staff are amazing, especially the front of house/reception, the pool staff on the roof deck, and the ground floor bar staff who were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a good variety of local and continental options, buffet style with a range of drinks/juices. I used the gym and the pool, was a good experience. Taxi from the airport to hotel and return to the airport cost me £10 sterling each way, but of course the taxi guys do try to charge double that, so negotiate amicably and pay a fair price! I had a slightly scary experience on my final night at the hotel, when a strange man entered my room at 11.30pm! I had to chase him him and report him to reception downstairs. I was told he was the maintenance guy who accidentally went into my room. I was not given an apology by the manager nor offered any resolution, as I wasn’t able to sleep that night due to anxiety etc. Imagine if I had been a less able man, or even a female, I dread to think what could have and would have happened! The matter was reported to Trip.com who apologised but it should have been the hotel manager who spoke with me, and I felt disrespected that they still to date have not bothered to contact me! Overall, the hotel is nice, but it was just my end incident on the final night that messed up my experience.

Very nice hotel and very nice staff. You shouldn’t expect fantasy like from expensive hotels in other countries, but it’s quite good. Breakfast is included and the food is good. Among the hotels in Havana, one can generally say one of the best. When I stayed the prices were very cheap, but just before I left the prices went up a lot. I paid 31 rubles for 5 days. The location is also very convenient. In the backyard there is a small pool for children and adults. In general, I recommend it, I was pleased. After this hotel, I stayed in a hotel for 60 rubles in Mexico City and there are not even half of the conditions here, there is not even a basic cafe and instead of an air conditioner there is a fan. In Havana everything was great in this regard and very, very clean. I recommend!

We lived in a deluxe room. The room is excellent, spacious, with high ceilings, furnished in a neo-colonial style, with floor-to-ceiling windows leading to a balcony. We are very pleased with the room, shower room, and cleanliness. Breakfast is perhaps more modest than we expected, judging by the reviews, but it was enough for us: omelette with vegetables, fresh tomatoes, ham, cheese, toast, butter, jam, coffee, fruit. The hotel as a whole leaves a pleasant impression: freshly renovated, green courtyard. Located about a kilometer from Prado Boulevard. That is, from the historical part of Havana to get to the hotel you need to go through the areas in which Havanese live with all the flavor inherent in these places. We preferred to walk through the embankment, especially since the street on which the hotel is located goes straight to the Malecon. We warmly remember the friendly hostess of the hotel and her assistant, daughter Brenda. Thank you for the warm welcome!

I stayed in Room 351 of Gran Hotel ManzanaKempinski La Habana from August 12th to August 14th, and now I am complaining about the poor service of the hotel restaurant staff, guest service manager andsecurity during my staying! 1. At around 22:00 on the evening of August13, after finishing the meal in hotel restaurant, the cashier refused to acceptcash payment, and the attitude was very unfriendly. I asked why, and therestaurant staff didn't give any explanation, and said very unfriendly thatthey don't accept cash. Why did you accept cash in the first day, but didn't accept cash payment in the hotelrestaurant on the second day? Why do the same hotel have different management rules andstandards? And didn't told me in advance. The restaurant service is so poor, is it because the meal timedelays the employees from getting off work normally? Or are there other reasonsthat lead to employees not having a sense of service? If cash service is notaccepted, why wasn't I informed before I entered the restaurant? May I ask themanager of hotel restaurant, has there been any training for the restaurantstaff? 2. Complain that the guest service manageron duty of the hotel has a poor service attitude and cannot provide areasonable explanation to solve the complaints to your in house guests. Theattitude is very bad and intensifies the conflict between the staying guestsand the hotel. Does not reflect the duties of the Guest Services Manager on duty.No explanation as to why the hotel only accepts credit cards and not cash.Threatened to call the police. The point is that I didn't refuse to pay afterthe meal, but wanted to pay the bill with the cash. Why did she want to callthe police? This is threatening the hotel guests! 3. Check in was a breeze, no deposit needed just show passport and check in. Room was 303 on 3 Rd floor with balcony over looking street with view of capital. I did not like the breakfast , coffee was ok but no big deal. Location is great, safe and friendly people outside no issues. Stayed 3 nights, only had Hot water one of the nights but even the cold water is warm in Cuba. They even arrange a taxi for me to go to airport at 6:30 am , he was there about 6 am as I saw him out the window waiting. I posted a video on you tube of my room at the Lido. Flat screen TV, refrigerator and tile floors. I will stay again, thank you hotel Lido

We are very thankful for our Hosts my husband and I arrived sick from travel through another country. Ramon and his wife greeted us and attended to our needs immediately. They nursed us through our sickness and catered to our every need without us asking for anything. They cooked us special food to help with our recovery and provided extra items for us. Our stay in this Beautiful home was wonderful and the family who hosted us are just wonderful people. Our dream was to visit Cuba we started out rocky but were lucky enough to be in a home with these people who treated us as their family. All we can say is Thank You ever so much for making our Cuba dream come true despite starting out sick. We loved Cuba and every person we met in Cuba was very welcoming and sweet. We would love to come back to visit and hopefully will. We highly recommend Casa de Ramon El Artista. We stayed May 12 through May 15th 2024

I will try to be as fair as possible. I liked the hotel. It was clean and pretty. The Internet was pretty fast and the employees were very friendly.
