My family stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend. The check in process was very smooth, and we thought our rooms were very nice. The hotel has an airport shuttle which we used when we arrived, but we had to return to the airport via taxi since we departed before it began running at 6am. Our booking included breakfast which was ordered off a small menu from the lobby bar. It was pretty good (breakfast quesadilla was a top option), but our last morning we had to leave early before they opened, and unfortunately the hotel was not able to offer us any type of breakfast for us to take along to the airport. The hotel does have a nice courtyard where we were able to hang out and have some drinks. Only a block from the hotel is the Southcenter Mall which has lots of restaurants to choose from along with the typical mall shopping experience.

We stayed here for one night after a late night flight. Everything was excellent! The check-in process was efficient and professional. This is a new hotel, so everything is quite modern. You use your room key to access turning on the power in the room. I was so impressed with the room itself. It was spotlessly clean! Our king bed was also very comfy. In the morning, we were pleased to find a fully stocked breakfast! Eggs, bacon, bagels, pancakes, yogurt, juices, coffee, and the famous cinnamon rolls were all available. We were very happy with this property and look forward to staying here again.

Maybe one of the hotels that offer room services during your stay - so many just don’t do it anymore even though we are paying so much more - plus breakfast is awsome with good quality of food - except for frozen strawberries and pineapple - why? Make no sense - but overall berry satisfy with their services

Let me begin by saying I was born and raised in Washington. I know very well what a nasty place Southcenter can be and I knew this was not the Ritz Carlton, but this was a once in a lifetime disaster. The main reason my wife booked the hotel was because it had a pool and hot tub. Well, they do but it's ”under construction” and of co**** this is not listed on any site. Upon further investigation, it would appear that the pool had been closed or months, possibly years. We checked in and when we arrived at our room it was not very clean to say the least. The bed seemed clean and that was all. My wife took a few pictures that I have attached. We tried to settle in and deal with it but all of the sudden the room began to vibrate. Somewhere in close proximity to our room was the housekeeping laundry and the washer spin was shaking the room so bad I felt my vertigo start to trigger. We went and asked for another room and they gave us one. This room was just as dirty, but the bed was also broken. Not more than 15 minutes after we arrived at the new room the fire alarm went off and shut off again. A couple minutes later it went off again and shut off. We thought it was a test so we waited a couple of minutes and then I saw red flashing lights come through the window. The fire department had arrived. Now it's time to see what is happening. My wife and I arrived in the lobby in time to meet the fire dept. head demanding to see the manager. She was on the phone and another employee asked if he could help. The fireman demanded to see the manager. She finally came out and guess what the fireman asked? Why did you cancel the fire alarm twice when there was a fire in the fitness room? He was irate with her. So now they have officially endangered the lives of every person in the hotel and we were not about to stat after that. We said we were checking out and asked for a refund. The receptionist checked us out and refunded the second night but my wife noticed not the current night stay. She said she couldn't and called the manager over. She said ”I don't know what you heard, but you have already been here so I won't refund you for tonight.” We had been there less than 2 hours and she refused to refund the night.

We were unable to drive to our house due to an icy hill, so we stayed a night at the Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Sea-Tac Area. We booked the room through a booking platform and chose the option that included prepaid parking. Imagine our surprise when the hotel charged us for parking anyway — and for two days, since we were there on both sides of midnight. I wrote to Marriott HQ about this and was told someone would be getting in touch. I'm still waiting. Finally, I wrote again. This time they totally ignored my email. DO NOT CHOOSE THE FREE PARKING OPTION. The hotel also socked us for $100 because we brought our dog. (A much better hotel where we just stayed charged a $15 dog fee.) The room was spartan (to say the least) and offered no amenities. When we asked about a microwave, they brought an ancient, decrepit model to our room. We could have heated our coffee faster with a flashlight. Free breakfast? Apparently not when you're spending a mere $239 (plus the dog fee). Rather than pay the outrageous prices at the on-site restaurant, we got a fine breakfast at the nearby Panera Bread. The one bright spot was the front-desk staff, who were friendly and seemed to care about the customers (and their dogs). But everything else seemed to deliver this message: ”We're here for one purpose — to separate you from as much of your money as we possibly can. And give you very little in return.” There are many other hotels in the Tukwila area, including some new ones that look very promising. I'd look into those before I'd ever consider coming to this one.

So let's start with saying I stayed at this hotel recently, think a couple of days ago, with my family so we could attend a funeral. I selected a hotel near the airport for ease of access knowing that we all came from three different places, using two different airlines and one person driving. Our troubles started upon arrival. Despite having one member's air travel being delayed by an hour, we still arrived long before the 4pm check-in time and was promptly told the room was not ready and we could call later to find out when it is ready. There is something... odd going on with their phone. At times the call would not connect, like it did when we were at the airport when I tried to call, and other times it will go through. This happened throughout the entire stay, so I simply asked if they had an approximate time when they think it might be ready. She snapped at me that check-in is 4pm, as if I hadn't heard her before. Years ago, I did housekeeping for a summer. I know there is a list, and where we are on the list might suggest if we are going to be closer to 4pm or a little earlier. We left with our bags, despite them offering to hold them for us, because no trust had been established here. I called twice later, the first time the call would not connect, the second time our rooms were ready at 2pm. We were not given the Preimum WiFi password at check in. We were not given pool information at check-in. Really the only information we were given at all was about having a menu in the room for the breakfast service which is not... true. We all heard it, and not only was it not there, another staff member seemed confused why we were asking for it. This brings us to the other problems. This hotel advertises services and amenities they literally do not have. The Basil restaurant is not operational and is described as permanently closed by staff. There is no onsite restaurant. This meant, for us, that people on different meal schedules were now needing to eat together because the convenience of onsite preparation is simply not there. The first night, I noticed there is no HBO. They advertise on their website, but I assure you there is no HBO. It's not listed in the guide and there is no amount of channel surfing that will find what is not there. They do have StarzEncore but mostly it's an On Demand service that charges 19.99 for movies that are currently streaming on subscriptions services. These are not even in theater movies. The TV on-screen guide will suggest you can cast to the TV. This is not true. Embassy Suites has disabled this feature. The app is certainly capable of this feature, but the way they have it set-up is to use your phone as a glorified remote. It can not cast to the TV. We paid for a premium suit as well. 3 adults in a room that is advertised to hold 6. The premium service affords us certain additional services, see attached photo, which includes the Premium WiFi I had to call and wait to get and the snacks which are said to

First of all, the name of this Hampton Inn is a bit misleading – the property is actually located in the city of Tukwila, about a mile from the upscale Westfield Southcenter Mall. To be fair, it is also quite close to the southern border of Seattle. I stayed here four nights during a business trip to the area in early August 2022. As a frequent business traveler, I’ve stayed at numerous Hampton Inns around the United States, and I must admit that I was a little concerned when I first entered. This is definitely an older property in need of a more modern facelift. When I walked into my room, everything seemed dark; the carpet was dark, the furniture was dark and the wallpaper was dark. Because of that, I felt like the room needed more lighting, other than the small bathroom. I was beginning to think that this might be a very long four nights. However, during the course of my stay the hotel began to win me over; my room may have had 90s-era décor, but it was very functional. The king bed was comfortable and everything in the room (lights, air conditioning, plumbing, HDTV, etc.) worked as it was supposed to. The work station in the room was more than adequate. There were also enough electrical outlets to charge my electronic devices. The common areas, though dated, were clean and in good condition. Both check-in and check-out were friendly and efficient. The breakfast room was one of the largest that I’d seen in a Hampton and had plenty of seating. The complimentary breakfast featured a number of hot items such as scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and waffles. While the hotel’s need for a facelift prevents me from giving it a glowing review, the service and functionality found at the Hampton Inn Seattle Southcenter can enable both the business and leisure traveler to have a perfectly fine stay there.

Positives - room was very spacious and the property was located close to shopping and dining as well as the airport. Nice pool area and outside seating area near grill. Laundry facility had four washers and dryers that accepted credit cards as payment. Super helpful! Negatives - Our room was right next to railroad tracks that had freight trains passing at all hours. It definitely interrupted our sleep. We found spiders and crickets in one of the bathrooms. The shower stall was a really stupid design. The shower head pointed at the door so you had to move it off to the side until the water came to temperature and you could get in. You couldn't move it back once you were in because the shower door didn't stay closed. Worst/cheapest design I have ever seen! Didn't care for the complimentary breakfast. Hot foods (eggs, potatoes, sausage) were prepared with a southwest flair so too spicy for us. Why not serve plain and have hot sauces available to add for those that wish to use it? Not much of a selection of other items to choose from either.

The hotel is not far from Seattle Airport, so business trips are still possible, and the rooms and aisles are still quite clean. Although breakfast is American continental but it is very simple. There are no common eggs and early intestines but fruits. Juice, tea, coffee and hot water are provided all day long. The downside is that the free airport shuttle service listed in the service item was cancelled. The reason was that the car broke down. As a result, the Uber taxi cost about $14.

the main reason i’m writing this review is to help others be aware. i had a one night stay here. when i checked in, there was $154 authorized on my account, and also $75 for incidentals. which is fine. when i checked out of the room the next day, an additional $217 was authorized on my account. so that adds up to over $400 frozen on my account for a 1 night stay? i was so confused and wondered if that was really necessary? i called the hotel and spoke to someone who couldn’t help or give any answers. on their end, they only see $154 charged on my account. they cannot see the additional funds frozen on my account. i do not understand why more money was frozen once i checked out. i called my bank and they said i have to wait a little longer for the pending charges to fall off. this is a complete inconvenience to me, and i would have never stayed here if i knew over $400 would be frozen on my account for a 1 night stay. no other hotel has done this to me. no other place does this. there is no explanation for this. there is nothing to justify this. my biggest regret of the month is choosing to stay at a hotel that has frozen over $400 on my account for a 1 night stay. it’s wrong. so, so wrong. i don’t want a fake response from the owner either. it’s not going to help anything. unless you’re going to compensate me for the inconvenience, please don’t waste your time responding.

Location is good, theres stops for a frequently running bus very close by that goes downtown . Walking distance to light rail. Neighboor hood is a bit stetchy - standard for American lower income areas. There is visible police presence and lots of traffic from the airport, but I wouldnt want to wander around late at night. Staff are very friendly. This is a budget hotel, so it is a bit worn down, but its clean. Apparently there is a new owner who is upgrading the place with new furnishing and amenities in rooms. Not bad if you need a quick airport transfer or dont mind a cheaper no-frills place to stay.

Dropped in for a weekend with the kids. Hotel was clean, bright, and well-situated to the airport. The property provides complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport as well as in and around Tukwila, which was an unexpected bonus. Carla was especially thoughtful and took great care of us while there! The breakfast buffet was ample and although the pantry was out of ice cream, there were plenty of other snack options for the late night cravings. The hotel is within walking distance to shopping and dining options. In summary, a great little property with friendly, helpful staff who went the extra mile for us to make our stay a good one.
