The hotel is popular, large, noisy, conveniently located. Our acquaintance with the hotel began with a negative note. We booked a room for 3 people. We got to the hotel at 2 am, fortunately the reception is open 24 hours a day. The issued room greeted us with cockroaches! The reception was not very willing to change us, saying that there were not many places, but they gave us a room on the 3rd floor with a good view, where you can see the sea at the edge. But there was only enough linen for 2 people in the room. Being tired, we divided 2 sets into 3 and in the morning returned to the reception asking for a third set. However, at the reception they decided to give us another spacious room in the neighboring 2-story buildings with a roof terrace. Which, in principle, suited us. It turned out to be not so bad, despite the fact that the hotel is not new and is quite noisy. The rooms are spacious, there is an equipped kitchen, the noise from the street was not very annoying. Cleaning several times a week. The location of the hotel is good, there is a place to park your rental car (after a little searching for a free space), there are large shops around the corner, a bus stop, the beach is 5-7 minutes on foot. We had a good rest! The price basically corresponds to the level. I won’t say anything about food, because... taken without food.

Just back yesterday after a week here. I’ll give an honest view here because it’s important to be factual in these reviews. We stayed in room 408. Firstly it’s a building site right now but that’s ok, they are improving the place. • 2 bed apt was €2013 for the week and definitely overpriced at that. •The shower Kept blocking after every use and the water would flow out into the kitchen area. They were very slow to come and sort the problem but even after that it kept happening. • The door of the apartment kept opening in the wind. You couldn’t lock it from the inside. • the lack of staff here was incredible. There was one person in reception, that’s it. • there was no security in the place. The ease for anyone to walk in was just incredible. It should be key card entrance. • there were people openly dealing and taking drugs on the steps of the entrance here. The cleaners moved them on several times which is crazy. But to be fair and balanced the location was good and the apartment was spacious and beds comfortable. So the issues above can be addressed. Would I return. Probably not. But that’s more to do with las Americas as a resort rather than the apartments. There is no police presence on the streets and the availability of drugs was everywhere and they were in your face trying to sell them to you. Maybe I’m just getting old at 52.

Food is bad, one in our family got sick after eating in the restaurant, after few days we had to call a doctor. Next day we were flying out in the afternoon and the person that still was sick asked for late check out and stated the reason why, the answer was still no. Even stranger, one night we asked for virgin mojito at the bar, the three bartenders who were working all said no. That they were only alowed to make it with rum, when we offered to pay the regular price but asked them just to skip the rum, the answer was still no. Ot seems that the poor staff who mostly are very nice, are not allowed to male any decisions on the job, no autonomy, making the services robot-like an heartless. The problem obviously is whit the managers that were screaming at the staff when I arrived and the computer system had crashed, I didn’t have to understand Spanish to understand how terrible managers are in this hotel.

I loved this hotel. Me and my boyfriend decided to go on a short holiday in half term and chose this hotel as it was relatively cheap whilst also being quite central in playa las americas. When we arrived the hotel is very clean. We got to our room and we had been given a double family room for the 2 of us. i didn’t book this so this was a nice surprise as we had a double balcony which looked over the sea and we could see the sunset. The bathroom was lovely and the rooms were very clean with huge beds, cleaned every day to a perfect standard. In the morning we had a buffet breakfast which was extensive and filled us up, the dinner buffet was also really nice and changed every night with fresh food also being made in front of you. The pool side had lots of chairs and we never struggled to get a seat, the pool was nice and a nice temperature. There was a bar near the pool with crisps and drinks and on the last day there was a pool party with music and rubber dingies which we both loved as it was some entertainment. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the beach and the main bars and we managed to walk to many different areas with no problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel can’t fault it

Having read some of the recent reviews of the Regency Club it has left me wondering if we stayed at the same place as our 6 night stay from the 9th Jan was brilliant! We stayed in a ground floor one bed apartment with direct access to the pool from the terrace which was great, the apartment was clean and the beds really comfy. Unlike some other guests experience, we had regular cleaners in and an abundance of fresh towels. Yes the bathroom could do with some TLC as the shower tray was very springy at one end and some of the tiling was chipped. Never a problem getting sunbeds, we found the pool to be clean although the jacuzzi did look a little grubby one day. We went out every night so can't comment on the evening entertainment, the reception staff were friendly as were the supermarket staff. The bakery (when open) was lovely aswell. 10-15 minute walk down to the bars and restaurants, as stated in other reviews a taxi back is around 5 euros. I wouldn't recommend this accommodation to someone who isn't fully mobile.

Stayed here as two adults and one child (age 6) on B&B basis. We found check in easy, and were grateful for the lift to our bungalow with our luggage. The bungalow was spacious, clean and perfect for us, we also really appreciated the sun terrace nice to be able to sit out there at the end of the day. On the first night there was a lot of noise from the hotel opposite which we were worried about but glad to report there was nothing for the rest of our stay. Pools were great, temperature was just right, no problem getting a sunbed just after 10am and the towels were a bonus. Disappointing no inflatables allowed but it was a busy pool from opening to closing. The lifeguards did enforce this rule yet i don’t recall seeing any signs so there were some disappointed people. Location wise cannot fault, 10 min walk downhill to the beach, restaurants and bars, there is a big market across the road twice a week, bus stops nearby as well (including Siam park and Siam mall free buses) as is the road train stop, also supermarket a stones throw away with everything reasonably priced and lots of choice. We would recommend dinner at San Marcos across the road best pizzas we had, the irish bar across the road and babushkas next door for drinks. Hotel breakfast was plentiful but very busy between 9-10 as people tended to go there then to the pool for it opening at 10. We did the evening entertainment on our first night and never returned it was tailored to a German audience and so my son struggled to join in or find people to talk to. We tried the water carpet, bouncy castle and foam parties that were on during the day, all were very busy so we didn’t persevere with queuing for turns, again very German orientated. Overall we had a good trip, not far from airport and short taxi to Aqualand, siam park and monkey park. We enjoyed walking down to the beach for dinner most nights, the walk home was a little steeper but manageable. Would recommend this hotel for families

We had a fab time at playaolid. Staff were so nice and worked so hard. Be prepared for walking up and down steps if you aren't in the main building with the lift . We were top floor and had 6 flights of stairs to go up and down. The food was your average 3 star hotel food- maybe better with breakfast always being our fav. Pool bar open everyday 10am til 5pm meant you didn't have to get dressed to eat inside, although we did one day just to test it out. Mexican food night was great and a lovely touch having a 3 peice Mexican musical trio. Bar soft drinks not great but we added a bit of cordial that's sat on the bar to a lemonade or water were happy. The slush pina coladas were my fav. We were super lucky with the weather- I think they had a bit of a heat wave, my kids were happy in the pool all week, we ventured down to the games room once but no-one else was in there! The evening entertainment wasn't great some nights. But we didn't stay for the first few. The Friday night Latin band are not to be missed. They were amazing and a great end to a great holiday.

2nd visit to the Rui Palace Tenerife, absolutely fantastic and will return again. The hotel is spotless, the service is excellent, really good choice of food for both breakfast and evening meal and a visit to both of the a la carte restaurants are a must. We stayed in a partial sea view room allocated on the 5th floor - perfect, very quiet. Hotel entertainment is good and a drink on the terrace is worth it. Great location, particularly if you wish to be away from, but close enough, to the centre of Adeje. Good walking available in both directions along the sea front.

We first stayed here just as lock down was loosing its grip and we really enjoyed our stay. So much so we booked again this year ... unfortunately for us the last time, it's a really lovely hotel and so welcoming but it just lacks that something ... if we had children then absolutely all day long this would be my first option. We stayed on 10th floor sea view, star prestige, I kind of feel like it's more of a gimmick than anything special. Yes you get an endless supply of cold drinks and alcohol throughout the day but for the extra it cost it's probably cheaper to buy as you go anyway. The adults bathing area on the top floor was ok, seems to have the age old problem of people reserving beds and not showing up till the end of the day so very often there was no free sunbeds in any of the prestige areas . even one couple taking up 2 sun beds but sitting the whole day up near the hot tub . House keeping was great but for the love of god she didn't crack a single smile ,when we left we gave her €20 which she took not so much as a thank you! The lift situation is an absolute joke, as is their door card entry system. We had about 5 cards all of which would let us in different places, never the same place twice! Breakfast was ok, always really busy and just warm as you always expect. Shame because we had such a positive experience first time round ..... for me it was average. Fur coat .... no .....

We loved the attention, the room, the very friendly dining room service, reception, cleaning, towel service... To put a but, the minibar was not cold and in the offer I did not see the information that drinks at dinner are not included in the offer. Great pools, special mention to the Infinity pool even though we didn't know it was in another part of the complex, with a few stairs in between. The tranquility of the place is great to unwind. I would repeat for sure.

Just back from a great week in Tenerife, stopping all-inclusive at the Troya. Here are out thoughts... Let's start with the 'elephant in the room', the food. If you read through all the reviews below, you might be worried about this, but don't be! I've no idea why some people have been less than impressed. The choice was plentiful at breakfast (great omelettes made to order), lunch and evening meal. There were theme nights throughout the week and this always included fish and meat options cooked in front of you. On top of this, snacks were available outside of the restaurant opening hours at the poolside bar. The staff were very attentive and the chefs were doing a great job. Our room (305) had a great view over the pool and towards the sea. It looked like it had been recently refurbished, with plenty of storage and a large clean bathroom. The shower was great with shower gel and shampoo provided. It was cleaned daily and fresh towels were available whenever you asked for them. Some have mentioned the noise from the Veronicas *****. This is a small price to pay for the fantastic location of the hotel and you really have to be the lightest of sleepers to be affected. As mentioned, the location is brilliant, right opposite the beach and onto the promenade. Ideally located if you like a walk, to stroll one way to Los Cristianos and the other way to Costa Adeje. We took a great boat trip from Cristianos harbour to see the whales and dolphins. The pool area was lovely and clean with plenty of beds. No need for the morning scramble with towels, although it was the last week in February! Evening entertainment was provided each evening, generally an assortment of singers, although there was one evening with a couple of ladies with hoops and balls etc that were really good. I'm sure everyone will find something they like during the week. All in all, a great hotel, ideally located, with dedicated and attentive staff, I would definitely recommend!

Really lovely hotel in perfect spot right on beachfront. Nice design as not high rise and all apartments based around pool or gardens/terraces. We had a spacious two bed apartment which was really well equipped and spotlessly clean. We were lucky to have a sea view too but slightly set back from the front so prob a bit quieter (room 523). We were on B&B basis and couldn’t fault the breakfast, huge choice of every kind of breakfast to set you up for the day. Staff all really helpful and friendly. Would defo return. As some reviews have said, it’s prob not the hotel for you if you have mobility issues as lots of different levels but we found that made the layout nicer. There are some sounds from the bars in the bay but the music stops before midnight and we found it quite an entertaining soundtrack.

My husband and I just got back from 5 nights stay at Hotel Gran Tacande on B&B board. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool with a side sea view. Room was spotless and comfortable. Nespresso capsules available on the first day and a bottle of water was placed in the room each day which was a nice touch. Beautiful hotel grounds and super friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was rather poor. Sure, there was lots of choice (continental, cooked breakfast, pastries, bubbly etc) available, but the quality of the food is not what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. I always have an omelette when I am on holiday, and on my first morning when I ordered my omelette, I was shocked to see a bottle of liquid egg being poured into the pan. I was so put off and disappointed that it was the last time I had an omelette for breakfast. The sun bed race. Yes, it does exist and it’s ridiculous. From 7.30 guests start reserving the sunbeds with their towels before heading off to breakfast. By 9 more than half the sun beds have been reserved. On one day, my husband and I had to do the same to as we’d come back from a morning walk around 10.30 and there were hardly any sun beds available. The hotel really needs to crack down and manage this as it’s a joke. Location spot on and parking available underground in the hotel.

This hotel has its pros and cons. I would definitely say this is a 3 star hotel rather than a 4 star. The rooms were clean, spacious and came with a stocked fridge which was a nice touch. However, the air conditioning was useless and did not offer any respite after baking in the heat all day. When we went it was only 24 degrees both inside and outside the room so I can’t imagine how unbearable it would be in the height of summer. The pool area was nice with plenty of bars, sun beds and activities throughout the day. It is a good place to take children with the benefit of the mini disco at night. The staff were friendly and helpful so no grumbles there. However, the food. Unfortunately, this is the hotels’ major downfall. The food was cold, stale and repetitive. The pasta, which there was an abundance of, was undercooked. Regardless of what time we went to the restaurant the food was cold, congealed and tasteless. The labelling of the food was a bit hit and miss as well. There was an abundance of cold desserts but due to the labelling issue, I cannot tell you what they are. Not good for those with dietary restrictions. To the hotels credit, they did offer a lot of cold salad options which included a cheese selection. It appears that they struggle at HOT food. However, due to the location of the hotel being close to the beach, shops and restaurants, we were fortunate that we could eat outside the restaurant. However, if eating out every night is not an option and food is an important factor when booking a holiday, I would advise you to reconsider.

I would not book this place they only get cleaners in once a week which means you can’t get towels unless you go get them yourself. When we arrived in our room the place was broken and dirty and water was leaking from the roof the kettle had mould on it there was a dirty stain on the floor and the tv cable was hanging out the wall, me and my partner would be awake till half 4 in the morning due to the noise and we had a balcony on top of a roof and the maintenance guy woukd walk up and down it and could see right into our room there was no warning of this happening either. We also ran out of towels and toilet roll so I called to get some it was over an hour after ringing 3 times so I had to go to reception myself and go into a cleaners room and grab them myself. People at the pool was too loud and the life guards refused to do anything because they said well there on there holiday too but these groups was talking about women around the pool and making gross comments.

These apartments are not modern, but they have everything you need with plenty of storage space and are exceptionally clean, with fresh towels and bedding every 2 days. Daniel on reception was very welcoming and was happy to help us with any questions we had. I don’t know the name of the lady on reception, but she too was lovely and happy to speak to us. The bar staff were lovely and always had a smile. The pool area was very busy but the lifeguard was on hand to get out the emergency sun loungers for those that didn’t have one. There is no music or entertainment of any sort at the hotel so is ideal for a relaxing holiday. A 5 minute walk to main bars but there are other restaurants nearby - green chilli is an excellent choice for an Indian, just a 2 minute walk Loved our stay and will happily book again.

First of all, If you are looking for a quiet place far from big crowd this is the one. Many many special thanks to Martha the bartender and the other lady I don’t know her name. They were both attentive and nice and provided a great service and also one of the receptionist guy who was nice too. You can relax here but unfortunately there are few things I was not satisfied with at all. I would like to emphasize the safe in the room. It is terrible. It is at the bottom of the wardrobe. It is not easy to get access to it. I am a young healthy man but what If someone who is ager or somebody who has back or knee problems? Apart from that, There is not enough light in the room to see the safe. I almost always had to use the flash light on my phone to see it. Another thing which was bothering is the swimming pool which is called heated. It is not heated at least you can’t feel it. It is just not that cold which is fine but it may be confusing. I know what is a heated swimming pool because I quite often go to spas and It is so unfortunate that It was open just untill 17:00. It should be open at least till 18:00.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful facilities and services including private pools with plenty of sunbeds, a gym, spa, art exhibition room, games room with pool tables and football tables and TVs showing live sports matches. There are also organised daytime activities and evening entertainment. I loved the neutral and mint earth tone colourway theme throughout the hotel which is very calming and relaxing. I also respect the hotel's commitment to sustainability by installing water filleting machines to reuse bottles and refillable soap and shampoo dispensers. My room was warm, cozy and clean with a nice balcony view and a variety of tv channel and movie selections including Netflix. The cleaning lady was kind to remake my bed from two twin beds into a large double bed with beautiful flower petal decorations and chocolate truffle treats which were delicious and I appreciated the additional touches. The breakfast was delicious ans very filling, presented in a buffet style with so much variety and choice of different stations within the dining room (cereal and granola; fruit, salad and juice bar; toast and baguette station; pattessarie station; hot English breakfast station with a section dedicated to different preparations of eggs). Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location with stunning sea and mountain hill views and has direct access to Torviscas Beach which is less than a 3-minute walk. There are also many local shops, bars and restaurants including a mcdonalds by the beach. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely revisit in the future!

I do n’t think I will choose this next time. It was set the night before the departure. There are not many choices, mainly because I am facing the sea. I have a love for the facilities. If so, the service of reception. . . Very uncomfortable. . When we rented a car and just drove in, the doorman came to pick us up lazily and ignored him, because the doormen from other hotels had received us at the beginning. . The instant favorability was reduced; the person who checked in was next to me and smiled, said a word to us, and then went back to chatting with the doorman in Spanish. . The doorman looked at us and laughed. . Very uncomfortable smile. . . Breakfast was average, but the service from the restaurant was much better. It is recommended that you book three or four months in advance, so that you have more options.

Absolutely amazing. The architecture was beautiful and modern with exotic plants and open spaces. Staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Large swimming pool with bridges to lead to an island in the middle of the pool (very deep!). Rooms were clean and well appointed - enormous bed but made it feel a bit cramped. Entertainment was provided by singers performing every night (til 11pm so hard to sleep before then if room above). Nice child’s room with a trampoline, table football and air hockey. Upgraded to the preferred club option which gives access to a lounge with free drinks and snacks from 1.30-7pm which we used instead of lunch! Good breakfast buffet. Only used the evening buffet once, was reasonable but not amazing. Some of the other onsite restaurants didn’t appear to have been open all week. The position was outstanding as many good restaurants were nearby and beaches with water sports only down the road. 10/10 would definitely recommend and visit again!

We arrived 27/9, family of 4 adult ladies. We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment and were delighted to be shown to a newly refurbished 2 bed, 2 bathroom, 2 balcony apartment in J block. It was absolutely ideal for us, lots of space, everything clean and new. There was even a filtered water tap. Couldn’t fault it. The complex itself is lovely with lots of bars serving excellent food, drink and entertainment. Highlights are Sunday & Wednesday afternoon entertainment in the square and the excellent quiz nights in the sun inn. You’re also a short stroll to the beach and shops if venturing out. Pools are lovely, yes you have to book a bed the day before but it wasn’t a problem and often spare beds can be found at the bottom pool. The top pool tended to be busier as that’s where the entertainment team are based. The complex does have plenty of stairs but we knew that when booking and there are plenty of friendly staff to help you up and down with luggage etc. We were able to keep the room on for a couple of hours on our last day at a charge of €10 per hour. We also used the excellent, clean, newly refurbished courtesy shower room in reception before leaving the resort. It was fabulous. Overall 10/10 from us. We’ll see you next year sunset bay.

Great staff working at the buffet. Thumbs up to Yani, who took care of our table every day in a very professional and friendly approach, we really loved it. The hotel is well located, walking distance to the beach, party area and Siam Park & Mall. The room was big enough and comfortable, with excellent cleaning service. I read elsewhere the location was noisy, however, this wasn't the case at all on the 3rd floor facing the window (while the party area next to the beach was very busy). Overall, great experience, definitely recommendable.

Stayed here with the girls, we stayed in an adults only suite. On arrival at the hotel first impressions the hotel was beautiful, trendy decor and peaceful. We checked in, complimentary cava was a nice touch! ROOM: nice and clean, spacious. Didn’t quite understand why there was no TV in the living area just in the bedroom, there also was no lamps. Think there was just some things that didn’t make sense, there was tea and coffee facilities but no milk. There was nothing in the bathroom (shower cap, etc) I slept on sofa bed which was firm but I didn’t mind, but was just uncomfortable to get out of. FOOD: Buffet was decent. Breakfast was probably my least favourite, there was not much variation. Salads, meats and cheeses were lovely at lunch and dinner. There were some really nice dishes but we found paella too salty, no “British sausages” and desserts were still frozen! POOL: We were mainly at the Adult Only pool which was heated and had a bar. We just found there was no vibe, no music, just lacked atmosphere. We went over to the family only pool and it was the complete opposite pool games, blaring music, entertainment. Just feel like for the fact 85% of people staying in the hotel was adults there wasn’t much to entertain. ENTERTAINMENT: Again the same as the pool, evening entertainment at the adults only was just a guy taking requests on some small dj decks but in the family section there was more entertainment. Overall was a lovely hotel, but I’m a frequent visitor to Tenerife and I’d recommend for families but I wouldn’t stay again because I’ve enjoyed my stay in other hotels.
