The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Old Town, making it easy to visit attractions, and it's only 100 meters from the Spice Bazaar. The rooftop views are excellent. The downside is that while the hotel's decor is decent, the rooms are extremely small. The breakfast is also very poor value for money, so I definitely wouldn't recommend it. I stayed for 4 nights, but next time I'll probably choose to stay near Istiklal Avenue. The Old Town has become a major tourist hub, and the food prices are high while the quality is low.

The hotel is stunning and the service is impeccable. The breakfast service was very impressive; the best I have ever experienced. My only complaint is that it was noisy from children running around and playing loudly in the public spaces late into the evening hours. I did not expect this from an establishment of such high caliber. The management did not seem very concerned when I brought it up. That being said, it is a magnificent and impressive hotel.

The main bonus of the hotel is a quiet street, located behind the corner of the Sirkeji Station and the Metro Station. That is, everything is near, but quiet. The room is small, there is a heat air conditioner, but hot water is limited (see how much enough the second didn't have to wait an hour until the new portion heats). There is a teapot, a refrigerator in the closet (not immediately found) with a pair of bottles of water, a cooking, in a bathtub, gel, shampoo, vattock, hats. There is a safe. Breakfast is pretty good, abundant, from 8 to 10. Beautiful view from the terrace to the city. From the downsides, the following can be noted: 'it would be nice to hang a hanger at the entrance so that you don't shake jackets through the room; ”There is no flight all the time.

Extremely impressed by this brand new hotel within walking distance to everything in Istanbul old town. The design is modern and luxurious, but warm and inviting. The service is impeccable, they brought a lot of small treats and drinks which was refreshing after a long trip. This is a weird comment, but they had the best electrical wiring of any hotel room I’ve been in - all the light switches were extremely convenient and intuitive which for some reason never seems to be the case even in 5 star hotels. They had outlets compatible with sockets for Turkish and American sockets as well as multiple USB and USB-C outlets. We were able to charge 4 cell phones and 2 power banks. This ended up saving us on our trip as we could only charge one device at a time at all other hotels in Turkey.

We truly loved every bit of demiray hotel from the aesthetic of the reception , the rooms , the breakfast , the rooftop view everything if I were you and I was looking for a perfect hotel in istanbul I would not search anymore let me be more specific: We were greeted by the beautiful Ezgi at the reception with a smile and friendly attitude that made us feel like we were visiting friends and family , since i also work in the same field this is what we strive for a perfect check in , she politely gave us complimentary tea and turkish coffee and handed us the keys to the room always eager to help us with any information after explaining the times of breakfast and the hotels included free access areas ( swimming pool, hammam , turkish bath , sauna ) , Hasan the bellboy then took our stuff explaining in detail what is included in the room water and the amenities were complimentary tap water is not safe to drink in istanbul but all the bellboys always brought us water anytime we needed and with a smile . In the first night we stayed in the hotel we had a issue with the shower phone it was fixed but It broke again the next day , Mert who was at the night shift at the time gave us a complimentary upgrade and also he told us that if possible the change could happen on his shift and not the other shift , I write this down because since I work on this field i find Mert to be a very good , hardworking professional and excellent colleague since he solved a issue so quick in order to not bother the next shift , truly a excellent receptionist and he has my respect . On the third day of our stay we did a huge walk from taksim to the Hotel but we didn't eat anything we arrived back at the hotel and we wanted to order food , Emroh when I told him my request which as a front office manager myself i know it is not a part of the receptionist duties especially at night , immediately spoke with his colleague and they ordered us a pizza which was amazing we left the cash and went to the room , it shows Emroh can go above and beyond for demiray hotel customers and deserves a big applause . On the last day I requested a late check out to Emroh which was accepted and it made us very happy since we could come back take a shower and leave , the hotel has a luggage room which was very convenient . As for the breakfast it was Huge with great cold and warm options which change everyday , Cansu and the rest of the staff always assisted us with a smile and made our day from the beginning ! I have to applaud the housekeeping team esma and selma which cleaned the room to perfection and made us a beautiful design see picture bellow and since we know housekeeping is difficult for everyone we tried our best to keep the room as clean as possible . Our room was beautiful with a bathtub and it had an beautiful design and a very comfortable big sized bed . The rooftop has a 360 view of the bosphorus with view of the Hagia Sophia Galata and all the other mosques trully amazing ( Photos bellow ) . One of the most important things to note which impressed us is that Ugur the manager was always on duty ready to help, he spoke perfect English and he also looked the part with a stunning suit and a beautiful red patterned tie , it is very important for the hotel to have a nice team and this is what the manager does the best , as a front office manager myself I know Ugur has made an amazing team consisting of great all rounded receptionists that all in their unique ways made our stay memorable and amazing and deserves a big applause for his work . We truly loved everything and everyone at the Demiray Hotel and we cannot wait to be back soon . Sending lots of love from Greece ❤️ Room 104 : Anastasios + Ofelia

How I wanted, how I dreamed of being in this hotel! When I saw the photo I fell in love with the atmosphere! And what a disappointment I was when I checked in. Perhaps this is my carelessness, but I draw your attention to the fact that in the rooms the windows face the hotel atrium, and not the street! You have no way to ventilate the room or open a window and feel privacy. And this is the main huge minus! There was a smell in the room, I still don’t understand what it smelled like, I asked to be moved to another room or at least smell another room, but they refused. The hotel manager came to my room and said that he did not smell it and left me in the room. I don't think this is a 5 star calving service! When you return home, all your things smell of something. Due to the lack of fresh air, the whole atmosphere of the room no longer interested me. At the bottom of the hotel there is a fashionable restaurant, where very decent people relax and, of course, music plays until at least 23:00, and at this time you lie in your dungeon without windows and listen to it all. Don't rely on good internet; it's not in the hotel. Breakfast: set menu, they bring you a standard set (olives, adjika, cheese plate, bread plate, toast in an egg, a piece of borek, shock paste, halva and the egg you choose), you can only choose tea or coffee and the type of omelet. I had two nights and therefore two breakfasts and I want to say that the filling of the cheese plate was different. The waiters only speak English, I didn't feel very comfortable. You won't leave hungry, the food is fresh. They go pouring tea. The filter coffee was not added to the first one. The conclusion is this: if you want the atmosphere of a room and you are ready to wake up without windows, then you can stay for one night! But not more! For breakfast you can

The location is good and the view from the breakfast area is outstanding! However, depending on the route, it may be a bit tiring to travel by train and walk to the station with a suitcase. The roads are rough and there are many slopes (is this true in Turkey in general?). The windows on the first floor are not well-fitted and the view is not great, but the staff are kind and it's GOOD.

The hotel's location is excellent; all the main attractions in the old town are within walking distance. There are also plenty of restaurant options within a 2km radius. During my stay at La Serena, I was very pleased with both the comfort and tranquility. The spaciousness, organization, and cleanliness of the room exceeded my expectations. The location, allowing me to reach Taksim Square and public transportation within minutes, was a great advantage. The friendly staff and their prompt assistance with any requests made my stay even more comfortable. The towels, sheets, cleaning products, and bathroom amenities provided upon request were more than adequate. Thanks to the quiet room, comfortable bed, and functional layout, I had a relaxing holiday. It is highly recommended for those seeking both value for money and a safe environment.

The hotel is already old. Very poor breakfasts, there is really nothing to eat, I was left hungry. All the furniture is already worn out, but everything is clean and tidy. There are very few people in the hotel, a quiet place, so we did not hear anyone, although they write that the audibility is bad. We asked for a non-smoking room, there was no smell anywhere, probably again because no one lived nearby. One of the advantages is that the metro is right next door. But again, it takes about an hour to get to the tourist places) There are 2 good shopping centers nearby. In the closest one, across the road, there is an exchange office on the second floor.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the main attractions. 5 minutes walk to the square where the Pigeon Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi, Basilica Cistern are located, the tram stop is there. You can walk to the Grand Bazaar, and in the other direction (if you like walking) you can walk along the Galata Bridge to the Galata Tower, there is an embankment with benches nearby. The hotel itself has old rooms, the breakfasts are meager, but there is something to choose from, there is no tea set in the room, but you can sit on the closed and covered verandas at any time, there is a cooler. There is a hair dryer, the soap set was not replenished for a week. We were unlucky with the weather, it was very cold outside, but the rooms are very warm. The hotel has an open track, you can sit there at any time. I think the hotel matches its price. I would like a more recent renovation, but it will do for 5 days. There is an exchange office in the hotel and nearby, but the rate is better on the square, they exchange euros, dollars and rubles. You can buy and top up a transport card at the hotel.

Rested with my son from 11/28/2024 to 12/01/2024. The hotel is very atmospheric, located in the very center, you can walk to all the attractions in the historical center. At the same time, the hotel is secluded, there is no constant flow of tourists around.. Nearby there is McDonald's, Starbucks, a tram stop. It's only a 2-3 minute walk. The hotel offers a transfer from and to the airport. We had a room on the 5th floor. Very beautiful, comfortable bed, good pillows and bed linen, slept great. From the window you can see Hagia Sophia and part of the Bosphorus. Shower and toilet are in good condition. Water pressure is excellent. Breakfasts are delicious. Scrambled eggs, omelette, cheeses, vegetables, apples, tangerines. Tea, instant coffee, normal. Fresh orange juice 8 euros, Turkish coffee 100 lira. Wonderful view of the surroundings: the Bosphorus and historical mosques. We didn't take lunches, looked at the dinner menu: expensive, in my opinion, prices in euros. The hotel has a small fitness room: you can run on the treadmill and a couple of trainers. Very beautiful reception, it's nice to while away the time here. I would like to separately mention the employee Cezar, who helped us with the luggage, gave all the necessary instructions, was very polite and friendly, very customer-oriented and just a nice person. Now this is one of my favorite hotels.

The hotel has a good location: taxis are easy to get to, it is close to a pedestrian street (2 minutes walk), there is a Starbucks on the 1st floor of the building. The service is not bad. The impression was spoiled by the departure: there is a coffee machine and capsules in the room, and usually in all the hotels where we stayed, including Rixos, this is free, but upon departure they presented a bill for a considerable amount, although before using it we looked at all the signs and nowhere was it said that we would have to pay extra for this. Also, no one reminded us about the deposit, in a hurry we almost left without it. They did not want to give it back for another 10 minutes, claiming that there was nothing, and they did not give a receipt for it upon check-in, so be careful with this.

Pros: Nearby attractions, a store, a tram stop. The hotel itself is very neat, the staff is friendly. The room is clean, there is almost everything you need (we were missing a shoehorn). A nice carpet on the floor by the bed (but dirty). The furniture is beautiful. Cons: The room is very small. A very small bed - my husband, who is 178 cm tall, found it uncomfortable to sleep. Rubber pillows. The shower stall is also very compact - it is not an option for two people to wash, and it is also cramped for one. What upset me most was that the room was very cold, the floors were icy everywhere. When you get out of the shower - you are immediately hit with cold! The air conditioner turns off 20 seconds after turning it on. Things in the room were damp even in the closet. More about breakfasts. When booking, we asked for breakfast to be prepared half an hour earlier on one of the days because of our participation in the Istanbul Half Marathon - they promised to do so. But the day before the competition - they refused. As a result, on the day of the race we managed to eat only half - we left it specially to finish it later. But when we returned, the food had already been taken away... Well, there are questions about the cleaning - there was none at all on the second day. And the safe didn't work - they forgot to put batteries in it. It seems like a small thing, but the overall impression was not the best. I don't think we will stop a second time.

The room in this homestay is large, two bedrooms and one living room, the bed is 1.5 meters wide, the air conditioning is also very good, the room is very clean. There is a local waiter who sleeps on the first floor 24 hours a day and can open the door at any time, but they don't speak English very much. The room was quiet. Beautiful location with fantastic views. Very quiet forest location but within a couple minutes walk to the beach resort and hotel. The standard of accomodation was excellent, but be aware that the hotel caters for Turkish tourists and their English is very limited. Avoid the hotel restaurant though, we were not very impressed with the standard of food and the waiters didn't understand our English. So probably best to eat in one of the many restaurants in Adalar. Best way to get to the site is via bus from Adalar to Luna park using the Istanbul card it's very cheap. From Luna park its a short downhill walk to the site. During the day there is a free boat service which shuttles between the site and Adalar port, which was a great way to get to the town! I would highly recommend glamping at buyukada and we would definitely return again! 😊

Our recent stay at The Ritz-Carlton was nothing short of extraordinary, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share our experiences. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff set the tone for an unforgettable visit. The property itself is stunning, with a ambiance that’s both elegant and welcoming. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully appointed—everything you could want in a luxury hotel setting. What truly made our stay special, however, were the thoughtful touches provided by housekeeping. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, addressing our needs promptly and anticipate them before they arose. One of the standout features of our stay was how well The Ritz-Carlton catered to families—specifically for our young daughter. From the moment we checked in, we were impressed with the array of toys and activities available for children, which kept her entertained and happy throughout our visit. The kids playroom was excellent. We spent almost 1hrs playing there. It’s clear that the hotel prioritizes making family stays as enjoyable and seamless as possible, and we deeply appreciated their efforts. Our time at The Ritz-Carlton was a combination of luxury, comfort, and attentive service that made it feel like a true home away from home. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
