We absolutely loved our stay at the Clan hotel.
We were greeted with a warm welcome, and was offered to have our luggage taken up to our room as soon as we arrived.
The concierge, bar tender, every staff that we engaged with had incredible customer service, very helpful, made us feel very special.
Loved the location, the room was very new, very clean, amazing housekeeping! And if you love swimming or chilling by a pool with a view, they have the perfect rooftop pool for you!!
We were very happy with the Clan hotel! Would recommend it to anyone visiting Singapore, looking for a place, that is super convenient, central, comfy and with great service,

The room & toilet is very clean. The hostel is well organize and provided very local breakfast during the stay. The hostel location is great. Nearby 2 MRT stations and there are plenty of local food at the surrounding area. I like the building itself which is a renovated hostel in an old building. Recommend travelers to stay here if you do wants to enjoy solo trip.
The rooms are awesome! Very oriental for some of the furnitures but also sleek at the same time! Rooms are big and spacious! Rain shower and normal shower provided!
There is also a radio/bluetooth speaker that you can connect to but the tv doesnt have smart tv. And the thing i love the most is the BREAKFAST! Most hotel breakfast plain eggs and bread and they look pathetic but their breakfast is awesome! Wide range of drinks and mains to choose from!
I have to say i love everything except the service there. The service was quite disappointing... when i check in, they didnt bother to check that i had breakfast for 2 and tell me the location or the timing for it. They didnt provide me the wifi sheet either. I had to remember and go back to ask them on the way out.
I love to sleep in bathrobes too so when i book this hotel i checked and made sure that there was bathrobes in the description. When i check in there wasnt any so i went to ask them for it and they told me all the rooms dont have bathrobes. If you dont have it, you should not have it in your description for amenities. Suddenly 20mins later when i was asleep they came knocking with bathrobes so now im confused if they do have it and did not put it or i dont know, i have no clue.
Lastly even when checkout, no one was there either. I didnt know where the checkout box is cause other hotels would have a huge sign or at least put it visible. Theirs was near the counter so i didnt see it there. Waited for awhile before looking and found a basket at the side with a small sign. Would be nice if there was someone there to guide
This is a great little boutique hotel in the heart of Ann Siang Hill. The service was phenomenal - the entire staff was super friendly, and it was easy to chat with them via WhatsApp when I was out and about in the city and had questions. I liked my room - I would recommend getting a larger one, as the standard ones are quite small. I really appreciated the use of refillable dispensers for soap, shampoo, etc. - all hotels should do away with sample-size containers and move to these more eco-friendly options instead. Although my room was directly on the street, it wasn’t super loud. The location fantastic - tons of restaurants and bars are literally on the same street just downstairs, and Amoy Food Center and Amoy food street are a 5 minute walk away. My only caveats are that the front desk isn’t staffed 24 hours, so if you need to leave your luggage, you will have to claim it by 8 PM. Aside from that, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in a great part of Singapore.
Was looking forward so much to a serviced apartment, but felt the service was sorely lacking.
Checking into the room, everything seemed old and slightly dirty. Worst part is when the bathtub tap was faulty and they took 2 hours to send someone over, despite reception assuring ”soon”. Understand it's a Sunday and lack of manpower, but the communication is so poor. They eventually fixed it but the technician was complaining about working alone on a Sunday.
Also they do not help to send your food / delivery to your room, so you have to collect it. Something I expect from a 3/4 star hotel, but definitely not a serviced apartment.
TV is also old, which I believe as a serviced apartment in the CBD area should be upgraded to at least a FHD TV.
Only saving grace was the gym and pool, besides the location.
Overall was disappointed with the service, but apartment is decent enough for the price (back then during covid times) and location.
Great location with food all around - Maxwell hawker centre in front, Tanjong Pagar Korean eateries beyond that, Chinatown on the right, Amoy food centre on the left.
The room was comfortable with attached toilet, adjustable aircon temperature, and it was quite brightly lit. Toiletries were provided including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, toothbrush & toothpaste, shower cap, shaving kit, bedroom slippers, bathrobe, hair dryer. Just bring your own comb and facial toiletries.
Mini bar was free and restocked daily with canned soft drinks, Tiger Beer and mineral water.
I would stay again if the price drops. It is quite pricey.
No parking available but it’s easy to get to, midway between 3 MRT stations - Tg Pagar, Chinatown and Telok Ayer. Maxwell MRT is under construction down the road, but there was no noise or dust.
I went for solo staycation as I had been wanting to go but sadly they closed to assist government's support in covid-19 housing of SHN individuals hence my staycation was cancelled.
Glad that they open and went for a night solo staycation. What attracted me is their big room and big bathtub beside the window, and smaller infinity pool hence I look forward to staying here.
I would say the location is abit far off from the attractions and hence quieter, especially during weekends. The food garden at Asia Square Tower 1 & 2 opens only on weekdays for working staff. Hence, if you are staying on weekends, u will need to walk about 5 minutes to Lau Pa Sat for meal or walk to MBS which takes about 15 minutes. Otherwise, you will need to take a train to elsewhere for meal. Marina Bay Link Mall has Subway and Toast Box opening on weekends though.
There are 2 restaurants open on weekends at Asia Square Tower 2 ground level but not much variety.
The hotel room is big enough, clean and I love the bathtub beside the window. Not many hotels come with bathtub that is beside the window and the view is great.
Basic necessities are there, just that there is no comb. I'm quite surprised many 5-star hotels do not provide comb. I would think this is probably something for hotels to look into.
They do provide a travel plug in case u have forgotten to bring.
They also provide essential oil so that u can rub on to have a gd slp and wet wipe (1pc per night) for safe stay.
I like the swimming pool which is an infinity pool. It was quiet when I went which is great and not crowded.
There is also free whirlpool and steam room at their spa.
The gym is really perfect with all main equipments there. They look new and not wear off. Maintenance is great!
I have never gone to their restaurants but do note that they have happy hour for affordable draft beers. Visit their website to find out more.
I would stay again probably during weekdays so that I can easy access to more food.
Especially at night on weekends, it might be quieter for ladies who are on solo staycation.
Hope my review helps. :)
I lived there for half a month, the traffic was very convenient, and it was relatively clean. There was a place for self-service laundry, which could be dried, and there were 8 people on the bunk. Overall feels good and affordable!
#Excellent location #
The location is great and staff friendly, but unfortunately the design of these pods and the loudness of other guests made this a really uncomfortable stay. I’d think again before booking a capsule hotel outside Japan. Both my experiences in Singapore were poor. For those on a tight budget only.
Check in was superb by friendly staff Li Yang.
We got our room before 1pm and he acceded to our request for a higher floor w MBS view.
As our booking was to celebrate my daughter's birthday, Li Yang mentioned that he will check if the cafe has extra cake and he will get it sent to our room. However, we did not receive the cake during our stay, so on check-out day, we happened to see him at the counter. We jokingly mentioned about the cake and he apologised. In the end, he gave us a small box of chocolate and Fairmont mascot toy.
Breakfast was excellent at Asian Market.
Checking out was attended by Pravin and he gave me a Fairmont keychain when i ask if i can get a souvenir from the hotel.
Good: - It's near the train station (closer to Rochor than Little India) - there are a lot of restaurants near the area - Beds are clean - our room had its own toilet and bath so no need to share with other rooms in the hostel Bad: - the room is a bit cramped with 6 bunk beds, small area to move around. They even have 1 extra bed that would take up the entire walking area. Talk about maximizing the space. - the lockers are a bit small so if you have a big bag, it will take up the floor space, which meant even lesser area to move around - shower is a bit small, so when the water splashes to the door, water will leak out of the shower area - reception is not 24/7, I arrived there at 7am only to realize it was still closed. I had to come back at opening time (8:30am), but still waited for the receptionist to open the window at 9am. Why post the opening time as 8:30am when you are only opening it at 9am? Overall, I think the hostel is ok, if you need somewhere cheap, it's an ok option. You get what you pay for. Fyi, toiletries and towels are not included, you have to pay for it if you need one. Better bring your own. For PoGo players, there are two pokestops accessible from the hostel
Booked the single room as a quick 2N getaway for the long Vesak Day weekend. Added breakfast at the restaurant for each day.
- Room was very clean. No visible stains. Standard room amenities were present.
- Business nature of hotel is apparent - solid desk for work, and Wi-Fi is fast and stable. Plenty of sockets available for devices.
- Breakfast at the restaurant was solid. Was a bit disappointed that the selection didn't change on the second day, though.
- Location meant easy access to food at Bugis Street area. Was able to walk to Rochor station within 3 minutes.
- Mini-fridge was damaged, and blanket was missing at first. Replacements arrived after around 20 minutes from call to housekeeping.
- Television was rather grainy in quality, and channel selection was limited.
- Ended up being given a wheelchair accessible room. While the room was a bit more spacious than normal, the curtained off washroom area made it feel a bit like a hospital ward.
- Great place if you're here for a business trip, or if you want to explore the area for a day or two. You might want to consider somewhere more luxurious if you want a relax-cation for longer.
Great location, walking distance from Imbiah Station thus very convenient to take the train to the Beach as well as the Resort World. 🏖️
Exquisite & conial style design. It' s clean & tidy, thanks to the housekeeping staff Mohan & Jack.👏🏻
The friendly, professional, helpful staff really made our stay so warm & memorable. A big thank you to Aaron, Jeffrey, Din, Diana, Emily, JiaMing,Tono, Adkin, Danish and all who served us with enthusiasm & personal touch.👍🏻
The Living Room(lounge access):
Breakfast is delicious, hearty & healthy. Daily evening cocktail🍹 session pampered us with unlimited beverages & delicious bite-size canapes. This is definitely a highlight for our stay.✨
Upon learning that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, the hotel surprised us with a box of truffles & a small cake. It really touched our hearts with such a thoughtful gesture 🥰
As an Ascott group member, there are decent expectations of an Ascott experience in all the properties in which I had once stayed (Ascott, Somerset, Citadines). Citadines Rocher (recently opened in 2020) was one of my top choices in having a local staycation because of its location and price range. However, it was an overall disappointing experience, and here’s why: 1. No daily housekeeping service 2. Our bathroom door could not close. It was completely off the ledge. 3. Reception is busy all the time. Phone calls are often not answered 4. This hotel was most probably a designated hotel used for both Malaysian citizens who were unable to return home due to locked borders, as well as returning Singaporeans to serve their mandatory 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN). There were confirmed COVID-19 cases within my period of stay. We were notified by a letter from the management. The least the management could do was to provide a mask or sanitizers to guests. We also chanced upon 2 medical workers fully donned in PPE escorted a guest to the ambulance. Scary stuff. 5. We took our own trash out of the room since day 1 of check-in. It was not cleared even upon checking out. Dear Citadines Rocher, please review your services. I had absolute faith and would like to continue giving my support to Ascott despite this awful stay.
Been to this hotel a few times. I like the location and the room is much bigger than many of the new hotels. Is not really a luxury hotel but comfortable. Location is good as walking distance from dhoby ghaut mrt. Also good to know that proceed is for charitable projects.
Located right next to a bus stop and a 5-minute walk from a MRT station, this budget hotel screams value. Two restaurants right at the ground floor of the premises and a very famous Indian restaurant (A2B) within 3 minutes walk away, good food is very close by. Mustafa centra is a 5-minute walk. A no-frills, impeccably clean hotel in a great location - excellent value for money. We stayed there for 9 nights and every morning the cleaning team was prompt to leave our room blushing clean. My request for extra towels were immediately taken care of and seen through all 9 days. 24-hour hot water and air-conditioning were top-notch. Special shout-out to Ms Pam and Richard at the front desk who gave us wonderful tips about their country and made us feel right at home. The room cleaning persons (sorry, I missed taking their names) did a fabulous job every single day! I was travelling with 2 young kids and had requested a room on a higher floor with a double bed. They were able to accommodate me on their 7th floor (not noisy at night) but could provide me with only twin beds. This was a minor blip in the otherwise exceptional service provided my the hotel. Rooms near the lift tend to be a bit noisy throughout the day. Room # 710 was great - 7th floor and far from the lift. I'd recommend this place again to anyone looking for a no-frills budget hotel in a great location.
Clean.. comfort... water preassure is very good.😋. Room is quite spacious... if you travel with a family like me and on budget... this is my kind of place... will come here again and next time i will extra comforter.
It is definitely a budget hotel, which I think a lot of people reviewing have overlooked. The front desk people were nice and the room was suitable for sleeping and showering which is all I really needed. We got some free snacks/drinks and they helped us to book a taxi. It is in a decent area to get to most places in Singapore.
The room was very clean. Towels are fresh.
The bed was really comfortable, I have good sleep.
Tea n coffee are well selected.
The window was not cleaned could not have clear view of outside.
The water pressure was not stable, shower experience could be better.
Overall, a pleasant experience staying at Paradox.
Ya that is true according to my wording if you dont have any other option then you can stay here othere please avoid. i stayed here for 1 night, but almost not comfertable, before i checked in a room when i layed down on my bed, it is keep on moving i asked to change my room and they did it but the room is not same like before but bed still moving some time. the cleanness of also not up to the mark. and they charged for wifi to heard, i was socked and the funny things is that you can use only one device with one password so you you would like to use aother device you have to buy another password. thats all ok but still after paying the wifi is not woking good. staff also lalking bit rude. At last for me sorry to say but not value for money. will never back with this property.
The location is very very 👍 as with TEL now running through steven & orchard from woodlands. As i stayed woodlands, the time used to travel to hotel cut short.
Beautiful swimming pool
Nice cozy area with different chairs n tables for ppl to chit chat.
24hr gym which i didnt try as my kid w me.
Theres a 24hr self service laundry at level 2. But the machines the open close area abit dusty / dirty.
There are 4 buses outside the hotel which you can travel to either Orchard or Dhoby Gaut
The room was small if you are going as a family of 3s.
Though its just nice for me and my 4yo girl.
Toilet indeed abit small but very clean, no algae which some hotels toilet do have...
Shampoo ×1 in 30mls bottle
Body wash ×1 in 30mls bottle
No handwash soap though, which is a (-) for me as im particular about having hand soap.
The aircon was kinda of stuffy. Took a long time to cool down the room abit. On 1 condition is that you have to stay in the room for hours before the aircon can be cooling. Because there is only 1 room card to use. Hence each time u went in and out of the room w the card, the aircon machiam forever never turn on kind.
Both me and my girl woke up 2am sweating also because of the aircon...not much aircon..
And they turn off the aircon at 11am, 1hr before check out time which is 12noon 🤷🏼♀️ aircon issue is a big NO NO as compared to the hand soap .
Otherwise, everything is really great
Smooth check in, front desk hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Pool close at 7pm. Ice bucket need to self collect at the lobby bar or a room Charges will be apply if request to send to room. Respond is first for requesting extra drinking water. Shower Water pressure not strong enough (staying at level 9)
On that day when i tell to enter this hotel and I had problem getting the password to actually enter to the room the staff from this hotel its very help due to this hotel its all online and no staff able to help u on the spot but they do had helpline and the staff help me step by step. The staff in this hotel its really excellent
Well located, really nice staff for everything, including informations. Bed was comfortable, good shower, breakfast simple but ok. The 2 biggest problems are the travellers who don't respect the sharing room after 23h00 (need a corfu or to be advise) and the room on the street side with a restaurant open 24/24, are to to noisy. You just get little sleep. Coming from Airport, with MRT get off at Jelan Besar exit B, turn right, walk to Dickson Road. To take the bus via Malaysia, walk via Jelan Besar, turn left and right on Weld Road, it will be on your right (3.5MYR)
The hotel was a nice hotel, the facilities were clean and nice. But the service at the front desk can be better. The check in was slow, with only 1 person at the front desk even though there were many customers.
During the check out, the hotel SOP was messy and the hotel charged me again for my room even though I had already paid via trip. I had to go to the front desk and ask for a refund. The hotel refused a cancellation, claiming that I had to contact Trip and to email the hotel, as they were unable to proceed with the cancellation even though they have just processed it 10mins ago. The manager claimed that it's easy for the hotel to collect money, but difficult for a cancellation/refund. The whole process took about 30 minutes, with many discussions, phone calls to trip.com, before the hotel cancelled the payment.
Overall, apart from the messy check in and check out, it was a nice stay at the hotel. The facilities were good and the food was nice.
Booked this place twice as the location was very good. Check in was fast and smooth just needed to fill in a form and photocopy ic. A $50 deposit is required as well. Room has a private toilet and hot water is available. Free bottled water too and bed is comfy. Overall quite clean but not for the fussy.
This was an overnight stay and we (two mature aged Australian couples) arrived from India very early on the first day (around 7.25 am). The hotel staff allowed us to check in very early. There were two couples and two people were unwell. So if we had needed to sit around for many hours awaiting a room it would have been painful. But the hotel counter staff said ”It is very early but we are flexible here and we will try to get your rooms ready ASAP”. One couple were in their room by about 8.30am and we got ours about 9.45am. This was excellent service and above and beyond normal expectations. The rooms are small but everything works: clean, nice bathroom, air-con, comfy beds, safe, tea making facilities, hairdryer, Wifi etc....all inclusive and working well. Very pleased and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on an overnight stay or a short stay in Singapore and not wanting to spend a fortune on expensive hotels. They ring taxis for you and the cost to the airport was only about $10AUD.
We had a 3 days 2 nights stay in this hotel. It was our first time staying here. The location is stretegically located within the prime area. The transportation was very convenient too. We enjoyed our breakfast buffet spread in the hotel these 2 mornings. My mum loved the food especially the bread and salad. The food was being served hot and nice. We missed the Ah Yat Abalone Restaurant which was located inside the hotel. We have also made full usage of the facilities e. g the swimming pool too. But l find that the pool is a bit small and if only we do not need to use the spiral staircase to the Swimming Pool as my mum have some difficulties climbing up and down the stairs too. The staff was friendly and nice as they have attended to our special needs. E. g the toilet was choked and the plumber came to look into the issue twice. The hotel room was okay except that the sofa have some permanent stains on it. But we have forgotten to ask for separate beds as both my mum and me tucked in for bed at different timings. Nevertheless, both of us slept well. We enjoyed watching TV channels like HBO and Phoenix and of course our local 🇸🇬 channels too as well. Thank you for making our stay comfortable. Might consider to put up our StayCation over here once again soon in months' time.
Very friendly staff, they will answer any questions you have and will greet you with a smile. The location is suitable, there is a bus stop located very close which is convenient. The breakfast is simple but some toast, cereal and coffee it good for me. The bathrooms are always clean, and there is always hot water. The rooms are clean with convenient storage. If traveling to Singapore by yourself specially for my ladies this is a good place to stay. Oh and there is an amazing ice cream shop close bya and may restaurants.
Hotel is refurbished and was previously known as Elizabeth Hotel. It is located right next to its sister property Quincy Hotel, and shares the basement carpark.
Location is quiet, but just 5-10 minutes' walk from Orchard Road (take the shortcut through York Hotel and Goodwood Hotel's carparks to get to Scotts Road, then turn left and straight to Orchard, including the MRT station).
Premier room was nice, but can still see some wear and tear, especially in the toilet. Only 1 desk chair for sitting. Overall, a bit smaller than I expected, but comfortable enough for 2. King bed was a bit hard for me, but pillows had mix of soft and firm, which I liked. Shower only, but had both handheld and rainfall shower heads. Can drink straight from tap. Usual toiletries, including toothbrush/toothpaste and shaving kit provided. No comb. Can request for face towels.
Breakfast is by order with free flow, self-service coffee/tea/juices. Fairly decent in taste.
Service is excellent, with greetings whenever I passed through the lobby and good effort to meet my requests.
Didn't try the pool, but just a note that it appears larger in the photos compared to in real life (to me anyway).
Trip.com had best deal at my time of purchase.
Recommended for a quiet stay with easy access to Orchard + public transport with a bit of walking. Also easy access to Mount Elizabeth Hospital down the road for medical tourists.
Check-in was done by Reynaldo. Had to wait a while while registering and clearance. Me and 3 kids in tow. The room was spacious. But not enough chair to sit around. Ended up sitting on the floor while eating when u have more than 2 pax in room. I was celebrating my son birthday and we had make our guest sits on the floor. Overall stay was nice. The bed is comfy and Aircon is cooling. Will come back again.
The hotel is strategically located, right across the exit D of Bugis MRT station. It could be a walking distance to Promenade/Esplanade, Suntec, Haji Lane and some other interesting tourist places. The buffet restaurants are just behind this hotel and there is Cold Storage grocery store at the basement of Bugis Junction. The room maybe small, but its location matter most.
Brought my parents for one day staycation. I decided a place where we hardly go to have that away from home feel. We stay Jurong West. There are many choices near Arcadia but it was Arcadia family room (with window) that attracted me. However, was disappointed as the reception informed that there only 1 of such room and was taken. Felt cheated and that the money was not well spent.
Location is great , near many food places & you can feel the weekend mood there . However the room can be improved? External is nice but not really on the interior or is it because I didn’t upgrade for club room access..
The bed needs a replacement ? Everytime I sit on it , there is a sound . Is not stable 😰 secondly the toilet bowl , it also makes a sound when I sat on it . & the drainage , there is white substance on it , not sure if it’s toothpaste or ? & the shower had a weird smell & the shower floor is dirty .. Not sure if is fully booked or the cleaning was done quickly that they missed out on what I’ve mentioned .. I had to wait to get my room keys after I registered . & i didn’t get up to check on it , it would be endless waiting ?
The four of us stayed here on our visit to singapore. The front desk lady charged or room deposit instead of merely taking a credit card number to charge later in case of damages (this was against policy I discovered later). We stayed in a room with a queen bed and two bunk beds, ensuite bathroom, plus a small balcony. The room was clean and comfortable - all features functioned properly. The location is far from the main areas of the city and on the other side of singapore from the airport. A subway station is about 10-15 minutes walk away. A bus stop is directly in front of the guesthouse. It's a solid 30 minute trip away from little india or little china. Being a hostel we had concerns about noise at night but were not bothered by any. We did not utilize the breakfast option but did eat at the restaurant across the street and found it acceptable. On checkout I found that they could not refund the deposit. After working with the manager over the next several days she refunded the deposit to me via paypal instead of a credit to my original card. That was not desirable at all, but was the best she said she could do. On the whole this was a nice stay, I only advise you to be cautious about your room deposit.
