However, the cleanliness of the room was abhorrent. On our first night, we found dirt, stains and what looked like dried poop on one of the 2 beds when we were able to tuck ourselves to bed, at past midnight. We had to call the night shift housekeeper to change. While he was apologetic about it, the hotel did nothing to check on is the next day. We expected the hotel to follow up on this but no one followed up with us at all despite us saying 5 nights with them. This isn’t how Marriott should be.

It is also a good place for tourists to come out at night. The room has heating, the cabinet is a bit small, you have to bring your own lock, the bed is divided into the lower bunk, the upper bunk, a bit short, it is easy to bump your head. The kitchen is very large and the kitchenware is complete, superb. You have to own pancakes for breakfast, and oatmeal is provided. Tea and coffee are free. The atmosphere of the Youth Hostel is very good. If you live on the second floor, there is only one toilet, so you have to run downstairs often. WiFi is often disconnected and unstable. The colleagues in the Youth Hostel are very nice and have a good attitude. There is a laundry room, but only one machine. Still a good hostel, well received.

You’re about a 5 minute drive to old town and 15 from downtown area and just steps from mission bay beach. Celebrated an anniversary here and the staff made it even more memorable. Arcelio took really good care of us. He let us check in early and got us a beautiful room ocean front and close to the pool/bar/restaurant. He even stepped off and gave a tour of the resort and invited us down for complimentary s’mores later in the evening . Katie concierge over heard our talk and invited me and my gf down for a bottle of bubbly to celebrate. The rooms were very nice . Included a table and a lounge type couch inside with a balcony over looking the water . Guests next to us enjoyed their private bonfires which we will definitely do our next stay. We ordered room service from the covewood restaurant and they did not disappoint. Try their pizzas ! Thank you Mission Bay Resort!

|18.32km from Tom Ham'S LighthouseThis is an all-suite hotel. We were assigned a quiet room on the 12th floor with a great view. The breakfast was plentiful, and you could order freshly made omelets. Interestingly, only the made-to-order omelet station required a card swipe; the rest of the breakfast area was open access with no one monitoring it. The Avis rental counter on the ground floor helped me sort out some issues with my car. As a result, I decided not to swap vehicles and just drive it for one more day before returning it. The Chinese restaurant downstairs served generous portions; two dishes were ample for two people. We didn't visit the business center across the street because it was a bit of a walk. Instead, we ate at the Chinese restaurant right next to the hotel; it had lovely decor and the food was delicious. Parking at $42 is quite expensive. They provide a card to display on your dashboard, identifying you as a hotel guest, which allows you to park in the surface lot directly opposite the Avis rental spots. I preferred not to use the parking garage, and when I asked the front desk, they confirmed it was perfectly fine to park there. This made it very convenient for unloading luggage, especially with multiple bags. Overall, I was very satisfied with the room; it certainly met 4-star standards.

Surprisingly low vagrant activity on the property and the outside lighting is fair. Probably why the management can be nosey and pushy. You get a used car salesman feel at the front desk but, the stay is worth it, if they don't become passive aggressive with you. It does have that California 'control everything' type nuances....Rooms are clean, you won't be afraid to get into the beds or use the furniture. Small accommodating pool and staff doesn't make you uncomfortable using it. Cool location overlooking dog beach in OB, if you are lucky enough to get the ocean facing side. I do recommend this property.
