The apartment is big but not well Maintained. Rust underneath the bath and the kitchen utensils/pots etc are old. It would be great if they had curtains in the living area to block out the sun as the AC appears to struggle to keep up. There were not extra sheets/pillows as mentioned. It’s just very old it seems and really needs some TLC. Spotted 4 cockroaches and demanded to move rooms. They offered me free daily cleaning. The bed was comfortable though which is a plus and the area is awesome. The Wi-Fi really isn’t great. I really Struggled to have a video call. Which was an issue for my work. I searched so many air BnBs and took this one because of the size, it is super spacious which is nice. One day whilst watching TV a staff member just entered the apartment, no knock on the door just walked straight in. I got such a fright! I asked him Why he was here and he just kept saying sorry sorry sorry. Couldn’t give me an answer. I wonder now what would happen if I wasn’t here! This is a breach of my security and privacy. The host is pretty much non responsive but the staff in the place are. I wouldn’t stay here again. Overall, a massive disappointment.

I love Picasso Botique Serviced Residences — it is great place to stay.  The room is spacious, artistic and relaxing. The reservations team ( Ms. Jen and Ms. Cassie) are very accomodating and made the booking hassle free. There are also great nearby restaurants which is very recommendable. All in all, it is a perfect place.

The hotel has a very nice location in Makati, surrounded by many very good restaurants and cafes, is very quite at night so you can get a good night of sleep, the staff is very friendly and helpful with anything I asked from them! Room is very spacious and most important very clean! Is definitely worth booking with them if planning to stay in the city for few days. About makati is a very safe area and is also easy to get from there to Intramuros or binondo, taxi or grab would be between 300 and 400 peso. You are on a walking distance (15 minutes or less) from Poblacion which is the club and bar area. Highly recommend this place!

Citadines Makati is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Asia, and my favorite among all Citadines hotels. I have stayed at this hotel for more than ten times during the last year and many other Citadines hotels in different countries, but my experience in Makati has been exceptional. The staff at Citadines Makati has always made me feel at home with their warm welcome and willingness to help in any way possible. I am deeply grateful for their hospitality and service, which has been consistently excellent. They have always made a big effort to accommodate my requests, especially my preference for the highest floor, which provides a great view of the city. I have come to regard this hotel as my home in Manila, and I cannot thank the team enough for making my stay so easy and comfortable. With their excellent service, I can focus on my work without any worries. In conclusion, I highly recommend Citadines Makati for anyone looking for a hotel that provides exceptional service and a welcoming environment. Thank you, Citadines Makati team, for making my stays unforgettable!

Big thanks to the team at The Sphere for making my stay super comfortable and flawless. I stayed for 5 nights together with my colleagues for a conference in the same venue. Front desk was very responsive and helpful with the ton of questions that I had. I also booked a massage at the hotel and it was awesome! Special thanks to Karylle, one of their account managers, and Edmar, from the maintenance staff who helped us during our conference. They are super helpful and responsive to our requests.

Manager Arnold was so amazing he was so professional and exceed our expectation. Ive complaint because AC is not working, we were so tired because we travelled from batangas from 4:00am, go around manila to submit application in different agencies and checkin at hotel soho around 8:00pm. We were so exhausted because we are not familiar in Manila, we walked , we took a jeep , we get lost and we were so hungry. When we checkin they gave us the key right away but when we went to our room, AC is not working. ive called the receptionist multiple times but she kept on apologizing and not even helping me even I told her to gave me another room. then we went back to the lobby and demand for new room but I was so disappointed because in front of my face the receptionist just gave a room to a new arrived guest. i demanded her to call her manager and Arnold escorted us to our new room, make sure that everything is working in our new room. provided me his contact so he can give me discounted rate when we come back. he was really professional even I am so frustrated he never fight back and I really can feel he is sincerely helping us. Again, thank you Arnold. i am sorry for the trouble because I know you guys are short in staff but you still manage to assist us and exceed our expectation

Formerly Somerset owned, I ignored the new reviews and hoped for the previous experience I received during the Somerset days. After booking a double bed + sofa bed executive room, I realised there was actually no sofa bed. Another bed for my friend arriving soon warranted an $18 mattress fee, later after complaining false advertising they gave me for free. A 2nd keycard was again, an extra expense which I didn't feel the need to pay having 2 of us in the room. Our 2nd to last night, we were locked out our room with a broken digital locking system so waited for 15-20 minutes at 3am to be let in via manual key which needed 4 staff, no new room was provided after this so we had to get them to manually unlock every time we left and arrived back. The pool had loads of leaves in, the air conditioning broke in the bedroom, cash only deposits too. If it wasn't for being a nice big room and a good location I think I would have asked for a full refund (wasn't even offered a partial refund for every problem that arose). This will unfortunately be mine and my friends last stay in this hotel.

Hotel a bit difficult to find. There is no street entrance. The reception is on the 2nd floor. You have to go through a small corridor with a money changer. The staff is friendly like almost everywhere in the Philippines 🇵🇭. There is Wi-Fi, shower, with 💦 🔥 hot water. A small 📺 television and we are in manila. You can find better for the same price when we arrived. We were offered a room with bunk beds because there was a booking error. But everything was back to normal when we came back in the evening we had a room with a double bed

The hotel service is superb. No problem there. Swimming pool is a joke. It's not even inside the hotel. It's next to the stage and appears to have been the old place where they held their sea lions. Ginawang pool lng. The rooms are average. Biggest problem is that it hasn't decided if it's a room for kids and family or a honeymoon suite. The shower even when the door is closed leaks a lot of water so the entire bathroom is wet. The most disappointing is the actual Ocean Park. Limited animals and attractions. The show itself is limited to birds and 2 sea lions who do a few tricks for snacks. OK naman un show but the mere fact that they let their audience burn in the hot summer sun for 30min and the show is merely that is severely disappointing. They can't even pay for a good tent cover.

This hotel's name is actually just ”Hotel Sogo Malate”, not sure where the Quirino came from. It's on Mabini Street. I originally booked for 3 nights but then extended for another 3 nights because it was a good price and not far from Robinson's mall. The food is brought to your room via room service. All wrapped in cling film. Just like the old quarantine days. Not particularly good quality but arrived quickly. Staff In the hotel were generally helpful and friendly. Handy 7Eleven opposite. Trike drivers also hanging around there. Don't bother haggling with them. Just jump into any passing Jeepney and get off at Robin's mall, for 12 pesos .

Within the walls and historical area, to visit the historical places. The breakfast is reasonable and is served on the top floor so the view is good. Additionally, it has a restaurant and night bar on the roof that is very busy and has a good atmosphere. What stood out was the efficient friendly staff. Doorman/Bellman ”Jade” was the best, 100% on the ball. Made sure I was squared away. On the front desk ”Cel” & ””Carla” both excellent nice efficient. I am sure other staff were good but these three shone. They are the kind of staff every hotel wants. Yes next run to Manila I will stay there just for these folks.

Ola Hostel Manila
4.4/5102 Reviews
Malate
Manila
|4.76km from city center
My stay at Ola Hostel left me with a rather disappointing impression overall. While there were a few redeeming features, several issues made it a less than enjoyable experience. Firstly, the evening atmosphere in the lobby was simply lackluster. There was no music or any form of entertainment, which created a somewhat lifeless environment. This made it quite challenging to socialize with other guests or even just relax and unwind after a day of exploring the city. While they advertised a ”free breakfast” offering, the catch was that it was only available until 9 am. For travelers who like to sleep in or take their mornings at a leisurely pace, this limited breakfast window could be a significant inconvenience. Another noticeable drawback was the apparent disinterest of the hostel staff after breakfast hours. It felt as though they didn't want to be bothered with guest inquiries or assistance, which can leave guests feeling unsupported and unwelcome. On a more positive note, my room had a veranda, which was a pleasant feature and provided a nice place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. In conclusion, while the room with a veranda was a plus, the dead evening lobby, absence of music, restricted breakfast hours, and the staff's disengagement during certain times significantly impacted my overall experience at Ola Hostel, making it a less-than-ideal choice for my stay.

Located in a small street in Malate, my experience here was quite pleasant. Their rooms have an old fashioned feel to them and I felt that I was in a small hotel in India, 30 years ago! But the air conditioning was good and everything worked nicely. The rooms are not sound proof. So if you have a family with a crying baby in the next room, as I did, it could be a bit of a problem. The staff were very sweet, particularly some of the gentlemen in the lobby and the lovely lady who checked me in at night. I feel bad that I forgot to note her name. Maybe Annette? Since my flight was late, I reached by around 11:00 at night. She was sweet enough to order me a Yummy Pizza from Shakey's nearby, using her app. (God bless her.)

This is the second time we are staying in this hotel. The last time was last June and we exactly had the same problem still. The last time we went here, they mentioned that wifi is not working since there's something that needs to be fixed. Fast forward to 4 months later, the lady in the front desk presented the wifi username and password but when we tried to connect, no internet still. The last time we went here, they gave us a different remote to the TV. Now, we got the right remote but lady mentioned that it's not cable TV but we can watch something thru the net. Poof. It's also not connected. The beds are comfy tho but pillows' too thin. The faucet in the sink was damaged. They don't have other amenities. Location is okay if you want to explore UST, quiapo, or divisoria. Overall, value for money, we've stayed to other hotels with way better deals than here.

This is by far the worst hotel I have checked in my entire life. Having traveled in many places and worked in the Maldives in the field of hospitality industry, I have by far experienced the worst customer service a business has to offer through this hotel. They have charged me early check-in of more than 70% of the value of a night's stay without properly informing me. I have emailed them three days before my stay and clarified if there will be an early check in charge and they did not inform me about it. I have communicated two times and I was never informed. They respond to my inquiry so slow like they do not value a possible booking. I arrived with my child (two years old) and they insist I pay the early checkin fee. As soon as we arrived in our room a big cockroach was crawling on the floors I had to kill it for the sake of my baby. I asked to room personnel to clean it. He just sweep it without disinfecting the Floor considering the remains of the cockroach splattered on the floors. My child have to walk barefoot no slippers were provided. The bed has black insects and the room has mosquitoes. There was no real or sincere hear to rectify the matter but just mere apologies. I kept quiet as I have an interview to attend to while I'm there but upon my check out I almost explode in anger. The staff was not able to grasp what I was trying to say upon check out that he has to ask his co staff in front of me ”ano raw?”. I find this very unethical and rude. They charged me for the towel that my kid has stained with candies. No consideration was given to a guest who is early checking in with a child, no appropriate information. I almost find the receptionist behaviour as sarcastic. I have paid almost 5,000 php to a cockroach and mosquito infested room whose staff are inconsiderate. Whenever I go out with my child's stroller nobody will even open the door for me. I wonder what makes them too busy focused on a computer. So far, staying in this place is worst experience and is worse than staying in a low cost motel. Being a backpacker myself and not much picky, I can tolerate the unhygienic cockroach and insects and being charged all the fees like they are too much into collecting money than giving a good experience for the guest but the attitude of the supervisor on that front desk and the whole experience is a nightmare I hope nobody else will experience.

Excellent price and room despite lack of most complimentary sundries you expect from hotels. For a price of just around 15 US dollars I got a family sized suite with a double bed and a bunk bed. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, however, the property has been having problems providing toiletries. In my first visit last August, there was absolutely no toiletries provided, but in this recent visit this September, a complete set was provided. This was not such a big issue for me though, since I usually carry around my own hygiene kit. But what I keep coming back for in this property is the surprisingly excellent food they provide, which is absolute home-cooked goodness. Overall, despite the shortcomings, the pros of this property far outweighs the cons. Overall
