Best sleep ever courtesy of motorized black out shades and a super comfy bed. Great views from the floor-to-ceiling windows when not sleeping (go for the corner rooms). Modern and functional layout, lots of closet space, separate toilet area, vanity with light up mirror, high end eco friendly toiletries, Nespresso, mini fridge, cushioned bench with table that was great for a desk or dining for 2 using the comfortable vanity chair. Boutique feel but with all the amenities of a larger hotel and excellent service. Shelby's rooftop was amazing. The vibe and views are incredible, sit inside or out. I was blown away by the Roasted Monkfish, we're talking Michelin quality, creative, harmonious, delicious. The sauce was incredible, preserved lemon chimichurri with a surprising variety of roasted mushrooms and tiny kernals of sweet corn. The monkfish was so tender an meaty and cut in a way that every bite was perfectly designed to be savored. And when the fish was gone, I used some potatoes to get every last bit of the sauce. I would go again just for that! A week later and I'm still thinking about it. Thank you Chef Michelle Matthews for an fabulous meal!

The location ia wonderful The lobby very beautiful but the ber closes at 23:00,very early!!! The reception was very kind The rooma very big with good view.The only negative that the windows were dirty. The pool was so fime and the jacuzzi. The breakfast seema small,but its to big and variable.The food in the hotel restaurant is exciting!!! Guys one of thr best hotel in my life!!!

Booked up here with my partner very short notice after our air b n b fell through. No where else in San Fran you can get this reasonable. Shared bathrooms which are adequate. The beds are about the only thing that gets cleaned in the room however. Years worth of dust has collected and never been cleaned. If you need somewhere cheap to suffice for a few nights and San Fran this is more than doable. Reception guy is really nice too!

This south of market motel was the best I can find on short notice. It’s within walking distance to the shopping area near market street, Merton and SFMOMA. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn’t like was the cleaning lady knocked only once and proceed to open the door while I was sleeping in the room. It did make me feel a little unsafe staying there. Not the best place to stay in SF but the price and location makes it an option for people attending conferences nearby.

Me and my mom stayed 3 nights at the Pickwick Hotel in SF and had a great time. The hotel was affordable and very nice for it being an old hotel. It was in a very convenient location surrounded by many transportation options, stores and the Westfield shopping centre. Most importantly the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Shoutout to Brian and Andrew and the other staff members who made us feel welcomed with their kind gesture and service. We will definitely come back here in the future. We had had so much fun visiting San Francisco for the first time from Toronto. Michael Morada

I used to be a frequent guest at the W SF back when it was Starwood but had not visited since Marriott took over the W Brand. I did try and stay last year but before arriving I read that the restaurant was closed and I asked the hotel what they were doing as an alternative, but they had absolutely nothing for Platinum Breakfast (other than 1k points per stay which is a HUGE downgrade), so I opted for another hotel. I had high expectations for this stay as I had previously loved this hotel, but as a frequent traveler in Marriott brands and having one of their Highest Elite traveler statuses (and staying at W Brands lately), I knew service levels were still suffering post pandemic. Unfortunately, it started low right from the beginning. I had confirmed a Studio Suite in advance. When I arrived, I was given a corner room that almost seemed smaller than standard rooms (Room 2109). I inquired about upgrades to larger rooms, and I was told no, because it was a busy weekend, and nothing would be available. I checked on the app and saw that every room type was available for the length of my stay and beyond. I was basically DOWNGRADED. Once settling into the room, then I realized the major issues. Smaller rooms should be easier to clean, right? Well, this one not only had carpet stains, but I quickly found out that the ”Marriott Commitment to Clean” was actually a Commitment to Ignore. Not only were their stains on the carpet and dust and dirt in the windowsills, I found a previous guest's room keys sitting on the counter. Obviously, the room was just ”re-set” and not inspected or cleaned at all. I guess the promised sanitizing was out of the question. We then went to get some ice and noticed that the ice bucket was half filled with standing water. It was disgusting! Thats not the worst part, I then found a pair of women's ”play-style” lingerie slightly soiled sitting on the floor by the sofa. I mentioned the cleanliness issues to the Front Desk, but the representative simply stared at me and then asked if there was anything else I needed? I should have been a bit more insistent that they take it down, but I was so shocked I did not. The room setup, although smaller than what I wanted and pre-confirmed, was also not great. There is no storage at all other than the closet. There are no drawers at all or other places to keep clothes or anything else. If you have two suitcases, you are going to have to keep them out as there is no place to put them in the closet. Other than the Front Desk and Room Condition, we had a nice stay, although the Room is really what we paid for. The rest of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff were great, and the food was amazing! Kudos for them for sure! Actually, the only place I was every recognized or thanked for being a Marriott Elite was from the hostess at Breakfast. The location is perfect, easy to access all the famous spots in SF. Overall service was also nice. However, the facilities in the bathroom need to replace with new ones, or, at least, it needs to be fixed. 1. the drain in the sink was clogged, so water went down slowly. 2. I hoped to take a rest from the fatigue of my long journey with a lower-body bath, but it was almost impossible since the tub cap looks like broken, and the water in the tub kept leaking. It was a somewhat disappointing experience considering the hotel is regarded as the best one in SF.

This hotel is the most convenient location in San Francisco. It is located at the intersection of Market Street and 4th Street. The Marriott Hotel is right in front of you. There is a Ross store diagonally. I stayed for 5 nights. There are no slippers or toothbrushes in the room, so you need to bring them with you. I got one box of tissue at the front desk. There is no refrigerator. The microwave is on the ground floor. My daughter's room has only a shower, but my room also has a bathtub. The receptionists were all very kind. One of them spoke Japanese and was really kind. There are restaurants and supermarkets near here, so it's very convenient. There are many trains, so it is a good place for sightseeing.

This is a great place to stay in town. Very close to public transportation and the museums. The employees are super friendly and helpful. Cool gameroom for just hanging around the hotel after dinner (as of writing, one pin ball machine has a broken piece in it and both are difficult to start a normal game with score keeping). Only thing I would recommend is verifying the details of any deal you get when booking. I got a pride month deal that waived the amenities fee and the very nice lady who checked us in explained all the amenities we would have even with the waived fee, early check in, and no parking fee. However, during checkout they tried to charge me the parking fee and said the minibar voucher didn't apply since the amenity fee was waived. I hate to complain over something simple like this, especially since it really didn't disrupt the experience, but it would just be nice for all the staff to be on the same page and not have to find this out while checking out. Great place though and I would definitely go back.

Staying with children, the hotel is next to Moma, and it is also super close to Union Square, the commercial street. The breakfast in the hotel can only be eaten at the small restaurant on the first floor. The product is good, but the price is a bit outrageous, and a breakfast with a tip costs more than 100 knives Personally, I don't think it's worth it. It's better to go out of the hotel and eat on the street. The size of the room is small, suitable for two people, and it will be a little crowded if there is one more person.

Hotel location is good, not far from the subway station, cable car station, Union Square, but there are a lot of black people nearby, rude behavior, giving people a sense of insecurity, travel must be careful. The room has a microwave and refrigerator for your convenience. But the entire building and the room were very poorly ventilated and stinking. The service is very poor. If you don't pay attention, the service staff will yell, the deposit fee is too high, and a baggage fee is 30 yuan. The impression is too bad. You will not visit this hotel again.

Motel in good position along Lombard Street. With a walk of 20-30 minutes you arrive in the center, Pier area. We have been two days. A quite large, well clean room (even though almost unmistakable moquette), equipped with various necessary accessories. Parking present without problems of crowding, there are free spaces on the border also on the street. It is not cheap but given the prices of San Francisco has a good quality-price ratio. Breakfast is not present. The basic breakfast would be appreciated as it was probably offered once (see photos)

This hotel is under new management so we couldn't see many reviews before booking but it was a great experience! the self check-in was a breeze (we received all the info in an email) and our room was nice and clean. The room is cozy but normal size for SF and if we needed a little more space we just went down to the lobby lounge area. There was wifi in the room and in the lobby area. The kitchen was super convenient to make a quick breakfast. We didn't use the washer/dryers but if we stayed longer we probably would have. We could walk to Union Square and there is also a Trader Joe's a couple blocks away. It was a perfect place to stay for a couple of nights!

We came into the city for a Giants versus Dodgers game at Oracle Park. This funky little hotel was within a long walk’s distance, just over a mile, and had parking $20 cheaper than the stadium! Our room was clean but we had to ask for a second bath towel and there was no decaf coffee available in room, but we could get some for breakfast downstairs. We appreciated the carport which was dated overnight and the staff was super friendly. We would stay there again for a quick visit.

My parents and I enjoyed our stay at HUS. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful. They have an option where they can send you text messages to check up on you. The room was clean and organized. I would agree with other reviews that there was a slight smell to the room, probably because the building is so old. Nonetheless, the hotel was a good value for the money and the location was great! We bought the parking package online that included valet parking, which helped save us 50% of the parking costs. When parking, there are a few curbside spaces right in front of the hotel off of Powell St. We didn't know if we could drive onto Powell St., since the public transit rail goes right through the street, but yes, we are allowed to drive onto that street. Also, the hotel stay required us a $100 deposit that gets refunded when we finish our stay without causing damage.

Four Seasons at Embarcadero was simply not worthy of a five-stars hotel. I’ve even completed a survey at the end of our stay which not the general manager reached out instead the administrative assistant. After my message revealing it was a generic response from her, she ghosted right after. Do you think that warranted five-stars for ghosting a guest that just stayed at your property? No. Obviously they simply do not care, which was an utter shame. In addition to that, the check-in process was a complete mess (checking in twice on the same day), room wasn’t ready close to 5pm (despite being asked by their team a couple of days when we will be arriving) and customer service simply was not that of five-stars. Sure, the suite was lovely and so were the corner views but despite how well done those points were - without customer service and being organized and on top of your game, it didn’t warrant five stars at all for a Four Seasons property. For such a pretty penny, this felt like highway robbery.

When I booked it, I can live for 4 people. As a result, 2 people feel that the room is too small compared to Shanghai. The Marriott is too far away, and the price is high. We only stayed one night but it was ideal for catching the hop on hop off bus and walking along the piers at Fisherman's Wharf. There was no breakfast served, as there were renovations going on but we found a great cafe nearby which served a great breakfast. We also found a lovely seafood restaurant for our dinner. I thought that it was very expensive for the facilities on offer but we booked it on the advice of our travel agent who had also stayed there and advised that the price was average for an American hotel near to Fisherman's Wharf.

We really enjoyed this lovely hotel. The rooms were bright and super clean. We loved the Japanese-inspired bathrobes and the comfy window seat with nice city views. We really liked the decor in the rooms and lobby. There was plenty of storage, and a refrigerator to keep leftovers. The only downside is the fitness room, which is very basic. We enjoyed the location with close access to many shops and restaurants.

Lovely hotel, in a great location, good access for the city, comfortable with great communal spaces. The staff are all really friendly and helpful, 2 people of note to mention The guy behind the bar is brilliant, knowledgable, friendly and funny, a real pleasure. There is a (really) young lady on reception/check-in, she is lovely and I don't want to knock her, but she needs more training, her default is to say no to everything, not because she is being difficult, I just don't think she has the knowledge or authority to find solutions. It makes it frustrating for me as the customer and I'm sure, for her, trying to deal with people and not resolving issues. It makes you avoid her and wait for someone else to deal with. The Concierge and Valet Parking staff were brilliant, took away all the thinking on parking and restaurants etc. We would definitely stay here again if in San Fransisco

My room and furnishings were acceptable for my four day business stay. The room door has large gaps around it, though. This permits all hallway noise to be heard in the room. Worse, it allows all the ********* smoke into the room. My coworker was two floors up from me and complainedbabout the same issue I had trouble sleeping because the ********* smoke was so thick in my room. I stuck a towel under the room door, where the biggest gap was, but I had nothing to block the gaps on the top or the sides of the door. Without the ********* smoke issue and some noise issues, I would recommend Hotel Icon to male travelers.

I totally enjoyed my stay during a 4-days at this place. The location is super convenient, take 101/130/150 to go to Union square, walk a little bit and take 19 to go to Beach Road. If you are adventurous, you can actually walk to the Downtown. I had to check in early as my flight landed a bit advance. They allowed me to early check in at a nominal fee which is totally acceptable. Also the cityscape view from hotel is amazing! I felt the place is safer, all amenities provided (ironing bed, hangers, refrigerator, iron box, coffee and tea bags… so on). I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend checking this out. This Super 8, like most, is just a place to lay your head at night. The lobby was very small, the room was very small, not enough room for a chest of drawers. It was clean, the bathroom was updated and spacious. A small desk and chair. The breakfast had the basics except no waffles. San Fransisco is expensive, this room was not, so you get what you pay for. It worked well for us since we were gone from morning till night. The neighborhood is typical downtown. Busy with commuters and homeless, but we felt safe. Close to cable car, street car and bus lines. China town not far.

I don’t know how, but people who work on the front desk either don’t communicate between each other or don’t speak good english. I accidentaly left a jacket in the hotel and noticed it the day after checking out. I immediately contacted the hotel and when they told me they found it, I arranged the postal service to pick it up and send it to me (even though I still don’t understand why I had to arrange everything instead of the hotel sending it to me). I had some trouble with the postal service so I figured out it would be easier if my friend that just arrived to SF picked it up for me. So they called the hotel, quite a few times. Every time the front desk would give a different response (first, that they have the jacket, then that they don’t, then that they DON’T KNOW if they have it….) and then the last: we have it, you can come pick it up. My friend came the next day and got yelled at, that they don’t have the jacket and how SHE DARES COMMING a month after I checked out. I have to mention that I tried e-mailing the hotel a few times, but it seems that they don’t check the only e-mail adress they have. Since it seems that I have to give up my brand new jacket (I live in Europe and I don’t know if I will ever be back there), this is the only thing I could’ve done. The hotel itself is okay, rooms and beds are just fine.

The hotel's service attitude, environmental facilities and sanitary conditions are very satisfactory, and the facilities in the room are well equipped. Parking if parking in the downstairs of the hotel is $29 a night. I chose to stop at 8:00 pm on the second side of the street at the intersection above the hotel. There is an additional charge of USD 27 for other services per day.

Unfortunately, it started low right from the beginning. I had confirmed a Studio Suite in advance. When I arrived, I was given a corner room that almost seemed smaller than standard rooms (Room 2109). I inquired about upgrades to larger rooms, and I was told no, because it was a busy weekend, and nothing would be available. I checked on the app and saw that every room type was available for the length of my stay and beyond. I was basically DOWNGRADED. Once settling into the room, then I realized the major issues. Smaller rooms should be easier to clean, right? Well, this one not only had carpet stains, but I quickly found out that the ”Marriott Commitment to Clean” was actually a Commitment to Ignore. Not only were their stains on the carpet and dust and dirt in the windowsills, I found a previous guest's room keys sitting on the counter. Obviously, the room was just ”re-set” and not inspected or cleaned at all. I guess the promised sanitizing was out of the question. We then went to get some ice and noticed that the ice bucket was half filled with standing water. It was disgusting! Thats not the worst part, I then found a pair of women's ”play-style” lingerie slightly soiled sitting on the floor by the sofa. I mentioned the cleanliness issues to the Front Desk, but the representative simply stared at me and then asked if there was anything else I needed? I should have been a bit more insistent that they take it down, but I was so shocked I did not. The room setup, although smaller than what I wanted and pre-confirmed, was also not great. There is no storage at all other than the closet. There are no drawers at all or other places to keep clothes or anything else. If you have two suitcases, you are going to have to keep them out as there is no place to put them in the closet. Other than the Front Desk and Room Condition, we had a nice stay, although the Room is really what we paid for. The rest of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff were great, and the food was amazing! Kudos for them for sure! Actually, the only place I was every recognized or thanked for being a Marriott Elite was from the hostess at Breakfast. Location of the hotel is good. As told, left side of the hotel is more safe than the right side as there are not many homeless people on the left side. The hotel provides daily cleaning and refills bath amenities automatically. The air conditioning is quite cool but can be adjusted, nevertheless, the blanket is not thick enough which slightly affected sleeping quality.

Excellent value for a great location. Room was clean and very spacious. Front desk were accommodating and helpful with a quick check-in and check-out. Breakfast had a good selection of different options and had no complaints. Overall would happily rebook and stay here again!

Reserved here for 10 days July 26 2022. We thought the place might be OK at ~$200/night. There were remarkable problems. 1) ”Free” parking meant, ”don't use your car or you may come back to a full lot”. 2) There were NO drawers. I am serious. nothing under the TV, no side tables, and nothing in the closet. I have never stayed in a place with no drawers! 3) Did I say no side tables? There were little wooden ”flappers” nailed into the bedstead on each side maybe to place a drink. And one of them was cracked so we had to use a suitcase as a night stand. 4) Three hangers in the closet, and the closet door alternated as a bathroom door depending on your needs. So this place is right on the wharf, location-location, but it sucks. We managed to get out of our reserves for only one extra night penalty and move several blocks away to a Travelodge (Lombard St) which was the same price with none of these problems. Please stay away from the Wharf Inn and enjoy your stay.
