This is the Peppers Bluewater Resort at Lake Tekapo. The room was a two-story villa style, with the bedroom on the first floor and the living room on the second. It had all the basic amenities, including cooking facilities and utensils. The main advantage was the relative privacy, but the bedroom was extremely small; there wasn't even enough space to open our luggage, so we had to leave it in the common hallway outside. The hotel is actually quite close to the town's dining area; it's just a 5-minute walk if you don't have a car. Besides the cramped room, there were no other major issues.

We stayed in Tekapo for two days to stargaze and visit Mount Cook, and chose to stay at Godley. Overall, it was a great experience! 👍 The location is fantastic; it's right by the lake, and our room offered lovely lake and mountain views. The Church of the Good Shepherd is also just a stone's throw away. There's a large supermarket within a few minutes' walk, and both the Intercity bus stop and the stargazing shuttle are conveniently located nearby. The room was quite spacious and had heating, which made it wonderfully warm at night. On our first day, the front desk even invited us to the hotel's evening concert, which was a very thoughtful touch, though we couldn't make it due to a schedule conflict. If I ever get the chance to return to this charming town, I'd definitely consider staying here again.

This apartment is the most satisfying place on this trip. It can be said to be amazing. First of all, all the equipment is available, just like going home. Then the apartment is incredibly large. The living room and kitchen are so big that you can do somersaults. The equipment is very new and clean. The kitchen is equipped with all possible supplies. The scenery here is also great. You can see the lake from the living room. There are two super large balconies. Our family of three lives in two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a small farm not far away where you can pet animals. It takes only a few minutes to drive to the town center. In short, everything is perfect, but it’s a pity that we only stayed for one night. Facilities: Everything is available. The first thing we did when we arrived was to wash and dry clothes. It’s so convenient. The heating is also super comfortable, the bathroom is brand new and clean, the kitchen appliances are very complete, and there is free milk. Hygiene: Very clean Environment: Facing Lake Tekapo, beautiful scenery Service: Very good, the landlord introduced the house to us

The room was big and warm, but! After heavy snow, they didn't clear any of it, so all the paths around the hotel were covered in snow. Our car got stuck trying to drive in, and we had to trudge through deep snow just to get to our room. After it froze, it became very slippery. There was absolutely no hotel service to speak of; only one Indian front desk staff member. Due to the heavy snowfall, we couldn't get into Lake Tekapo and check in on the first night. When we tried to discuss a refund, they flat-out refused. Later, Ctrip helped mediate, but the hotel just stopped answering their calls. In the end, Ctrip covered the cost themselves and successfully processed the refund. I really want to praise Ctrip for their handling of this situation and their responsibility – they are a reliable platform!

The bathroom exhaust fan automatically turned on whenever the light was on, and it was incredibly loud, clearly audible in both bedrooms. Even after turning off the light, the fan would continue running for about 30 minutes, which was unbearable. Aside from its convenient location, it had absolutely no other redeeming features...

A large Nordic style house with great charm. Very good value for money, lake view room, very quiet. Hygiene standards are very high, and the front desk staff are very considerate and always ask if they need help. Milk and coffee are also provided. The kitchen is particularly easy to use, with a variety of tools for easy operation. There are ample parking spaces, it is very convenient to go out, and the surrounding area is very smooth. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but it was definitely the worst place we stayed during our New Zealand trip. Tekapo is super popular, and even booking four months in advance for over a thousand dollars a night, this was the best we could get. If possible, book half a year ahead during the off-peak season. This property is a whole holiday home divided into three apartments (A, B, C) for rent. Apartment A faces the lake, which is more like a small pond, but it does have ducks and wild rabbits. The view is pretty average by New Zealand standards. It's also a 15-20 minute walk to the town center's Four Square supermarket, which can be tiring if you have a lot of luggage and no car. The soundproofing in the room is really bad; we had noisy neighbors all night. The most ridiculous thing is that there isn't a single usable table or chair inside the room. The only option is the outdoor patio furniture, but it was raining when we were there, so we couldn't use it anyway. Plus, the neighbors' kids were ill-mannered and stepped all over it, so I doubt anyone would want to eat there. Even more outrageous, the water pressure in the bathroom was almost nonexistent. You'd get better pressure from a garden hose! The bathroom itself is quite spacious, but that's pointless. The Wi-Fi is shared among the three apartments, and you have to stand in a specific spot in the room to get a good connection. Customer service communication is old-school email, but at least they reply once a day. The most chilling part was on check-out day: the key safe outside had been tampered with; someone had pressed the code. I distinctly remember scrambling the numbers. Oh well, luckily there was no key inside. If you can accept all these points, then this room is perfect for you.

The hotel is actually a villa, far from the town, it takes 18 minutes to drive from the town's big supermarket, and it is five kilometers away, near Lake Tekapo. There is no light pollution, it is a great place to watch the Galaxy at night. Five rooms, with ten beds in size, suitable for small teams, no single rental. The facilities are the same as ten years ago, and they are very old. You can chop firewood fireplace, cook well-equipped, away from the town, you must communicate at a service point in the town to understand the specific location and route of the hotel, and you must buy enough food in the town supermarket. The hotel has no signal, but there is WiFi.

If I ever get the chance to return to this charming town, I'd definitely consider staying here again.

This is the Peppers Bluewater Resort at Lake Tekapo. The room was a two-story villa style, with the bedroom on the first floor and the living room on the second. It had all the basic amenities, including cooking facilities and utensils. The main advantage was the relative privacy, but the bedroom was extremely small; there wasn't even enough space to open our luggage, so we had to leave it in the common hallway outside. The hotel is actually quite close to the town's dining area; it's just a 5-minute walk if you don't have a car. Besides the cramped room, there were no other major issues.
