I’ve stayed at New World several times, and what impresses me the most is their consistency in service. Even with changes in management, the quality of care and hospitality has remained the same—always excellent.
From check-in to check-out, everything feels seamless and professional. The staff are attentive, warm, and make sure every stay is comfortable. And I have to mention their bathrobes they’re unbelievably cozy!

We had a great experience during our stay. The room was very spacious and comforting, which made it easy to relax. The hotel itself wasn’t crowded, so it felt peaceful throughout our visit. One of the highlights was the pool – very clean and well-maintained. The location is also very convenient, close to everything we needed. The only downside was that the TV in the room wasn’t a smart TV. It would be great if the hotel considers upgrading this in the future to enhance the in-room entertainment experience. not by my fault (and, of course, not by fault of the hotel) I arrived one day later because the flight was on late and I missed my connecting flight..they, as a matter of course, offered me to shift my booking to 4-6 November (it was 3-5 November) but I couldn’t accept because I had another booking in Angeles (5-7 November)…they agreed to give me the missing night on 20-21 November when I’ll come back shortly to Manila (subjected to an integration fee) and I appreciated it very much..

I recently celebrated my birthday at Oakwood Makati Avenue and wanted to share my experience.
Communication:
Before my stay, I found it challenging to get a timely response from the hotel. I had to send several emails before receiving a reply.
Check-in:
The check-in process was smooth. The receptionist was very helpful and even offered us a tour of a showroom before we chose our suite, which was a nice touch.
The Suite:
Our suite was spacious and elegant. However, I noticed a few areas for improvement: the handheld shower was difficult to operate, especially for older guests, and the bidet wasn’t functioning properly. Additionally, the TV channels were mostly limited to news and local shows.
View:
We loved the view from our suite facing Century Mall, where we enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the balcony.
Breakfast:
The breakfast buffet had a limited selection. I missed having croissants or danishes. They offered a free slice of cake, but you needed to like their Facebook page and leave a five-star review on Google for that.
Spa Experience:
The staff at the Onsen Spa were excellent, and I appreciated the free coffee and juice available in the lounge.
Gym and Pool:
The gym was small and had some older equipment. However, the pool area was fantastic, especially the glass pool. Unfortunately, the bar by the pool lacked a lively atmosphere, with limited music and menu options. It was surprising that they didn’t offer smoothies or refreshing drinks.
Facilities:
It’s worth noting that Oakwood and I’m Hotel share some facilities, which adds variety to the experience.

What makes Makati Palace Hotel a superb place to stay in the centre of Manila is the staff.
At the end of the day, hotels hotels beds, a bit of furniture in the room and the usual infrastructure but the people here are so attentive, professional, and will do anything to ensure your stay is premium.

We arrived at the hotel around 7am .
Of course we didn’t expected to check in so already, but the hostess propose us the early check in for 3000 that the price of our room for a night was 2500 .
How can be the earlier check-In more expensive that the all night ???
Any way we choose to don’t paid and go for a walk .
We came back at 13h30 for the check in, we almost wait one more hour to finally go to the room .
The room is really was ok . But the AC is dripping, the safe has no more battery and some cabinet miss the handle .
And as a lot of comments are saying the breakfast is not pleasant .

I booked a Deluxe Studio Room, and based from the description it has a kitchen and kitchenwear. Unfortunately, upon seeing the room there is not kitchen and kitchen wears just like it said on the description, we called the reception in the room and they said that this type of room has no kichen. Though they apologized, they said that there will be a room upgrade charge which sucks and disappointed since we had high expectations based from the description but overall the room is nice and clean and had the best view but sadlly no kitchen. WE ALSO HAD THE WORST CHECKOUT!!! upon checkout we clarified about the parking voucher so that the fees are waved since ascott shares the parking of Glorietta 4, the woman in the checkout counter said that the voucher given to us upon entry is already good,but upon exit at the parking the lady in the cashier said its not yet validaded and we caused traffic jam and spent 10minutes waiting which is very inconvinient and disapointing since we will travel 2 hours back to our home. Overall, i love this hotel because of the hospitality of the people and its best location located at the center of Makati's most popular malls. The place is perfect for people who prefers in a commercial center. Huge room so I really like it. The front desk with a blond hair failed to inform me that the toothbrush, hair dryer and slipper is by request when it was included in advertisement. Housekeeping took time to bring my toothbrush, slipper and hair blower that I have to call the front desk for the second time, based on what I observed, the housekeeping is good as I even spoke with them, I think the front desk needs proper training other than the front desk I can say I like the place. Hopefully when I go back the Front Desk know how to deliver excellent customer service. I cannot even read the WIFI password as her handwritten is not really good, I need to ask the blond hair front desk about what she wrote. The room is very clean. It's almost complete in amenities like TV with cable, electric kettle, mini refrigerator, glass, spoon, huge cabinet with hangers, wifi, shower, and toilet with bidet. The bathroom is very clean and the water pressure is strong the whole time. The surrounding is not noisy. There's a near Mercury Drug and Uncle John. Near Vito Cruz Station. Had a great stay at this place just like my experience at other Ascott hotels. I thought the room would have a regular sized fridge (as with the room I got in my previous stay) but it had a tiny one. I recently stayed at Hop Inn Hotel Makati Avenue, and it exceeded my expectations! The location is fantastic, offering easy access to restaurants, shopping malls, and vibrant nightlife. Despite being in the heart of the city, the hotel provides a quiet and peaceful environment, perfect for rest.
The rooms are modern, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable, and the air-conditioning worked perfectly—ideal for escaping the tropical heat. The bathroom was spotless, with strong water pressure and hot water always available.
What stood out most was the staff’s friendliness and professionalism. They were incredibly accommodating and quick to assist with any requests. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free.
Though the hotel doesn’t offer dining facilities, there are plenty of nearby options to explore. The complimentary parking and reliable Wi-Fi were great bonuses.

This hotel/service apartment was perfect for my transit stay in Manila/Makati. Decent hotel for business travel/meetings in area. For the budget I think its worth very worth money. However I do feel that there are some considerations that could have made the whole experience a lot better
1) Facilities could do with some upgrade - from rooms, to bathrooms (musty smell, toilet ventilation was slightly slow), to gym
2) Food has improved from previous stay
3) Security could be better improved - got a call past 12 midnight saying we had a visitor and i said no, visitor still turned up
4) Having 1 lift down for servicing during peak period through the 4-5days is quite abit of a jam during the morning rush hoursFromQAR 342

We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel perfectly blends historic charm with modern comfort. Our spacious suite was beautifully decorated, and the staff were incredibly nice and helpful.
