Frankly, I've been disappointed with Sofitel's service these past few months.
I've noticed that the staff is constantly changing, so since I've been a customer since 2004, every time I check in, I encounter new people who don't know the person, who don't know what room I'm getting, so that disappoints me a little, unlike before, when every time I checked in, I always received good service, unlike today, when the staff behaves in a borderline manner, you're a customer like any other. While the main reason I come to Sofitel and not other hotels is the service.
I think it's time to change the Sofitel and go to the Fairmont or Mamounia since the prices are the same.From$371

After check-in, the socket in the room suddenly exploded, and the whole room was out of power!
Then I changed the room a little better.
Both rooms are not very clean!

Definitely a very very old heritage hotel with a lot of history! The hotel premises are stunning. The reception and lounge staff were so nice and helpful.
I do think, the hotel could do with a litte but of refurbishing especially for the rooms. But I cannot complain! Got the best deal, and had a really good time and the breakfast out in the garden under orange trees was like straight out of a movie! Loved it!!!

Regarding the room, a mixed start to my stay and a first evening, being very manic and looking at cleanliness, my first room was very dusty and poorly insulated, the next day, the reception team told me about it. changed rooms, much less dust but not up to my expectations, I think the rooms need a little more maintenance and refreshing.
Regarding the common areas, cleanliness is excellent and hydroalcoholic gel is available.
As for the gym and the swimming pool, great I have nothing to say, very well maintained.
The catering is correct too bad some of the hotel's restaurants are closed due to the Covid.
The agents at the reception, catering, SPA and swimming pool are attentive and are very responsive.
Too bad there is no possibility of transfer from the airport which is very nice when you land at 11:50 pm.
Finally, the stay went well despite some improvements to be made and a sense of detail to be developed.

A fine and beautiful riad in the middle, in a quiet corner. We had a semi-luxe on three, two-level, only minus - a pretty steep staircase on the second floor where a double bed is located. There is air conditioning, TV, fan. There is no teapot, refrigerator (to whom it matters). The lingerie is clean, the bed is comfortable. Breakfast is a Swedish table, everything is delicious. Also in the restaurant you can eat and have dinner on the menu. The pool is small, light, it is not possible to swim in it, but it is possible to cool in the heat. The pool has a towel. There are lots of recreation areas. Until the nearest parking is 10 minutes walk, we called the Riad, and a man with a cart came after us who helped bring our bags and showed the way to Riad. The hotel was nice and clean although it could do better with new corridor carpet and a lick of paint in the exterior. The hotel is located in the heart of the old town. Close to an ancient tomb that is more than 500 years old. There are many people visiting every day. This hotel can be said to be called Taoyuan in the city, but the surrounding environment is not very good. According to the waiter, the hotel started building a new building in 2002 and first bought a house, and later bought eight more. The owner, a Frenchman, renovated the nine houses as a whole and connected them together. The design is very elegant, reflecting the Moroccan national style. The hotel is located in the center of the city. It is convenient to travel and the surrounding facilities are complete, but when I checked in, a very strange thing happened. The hotel gave me a room on the third floor. When I reached the third floor by elevator, I found the third floor Many rooms are being renovated, and workers come and go in a messy feeling. I thought maybe only a few rooms were being remodeled and didn’t care. When I continued to go to my own room, I found that there was still a section that was using a percussion drill to hit the ground. The sound was loud and dusty, and I immediately turned back to the front desk of the hotel to ask for another room. The quiet environment, the hotel hesitated and gave me a room on the fourth floor, but when I entered the room after arriving on the fourth floor, the sound of the impact drill was still loud , There was no way to rest comfortably, so I had no choice but to contact Ctrip's customer service. In the end, the customer service communicated with the hotel and changed me to a room on the fifth floor on the other side. First off, the location was great, a lot of choice for breakfast, nice swimming pool and big/clean room. Most of the staff were actually very helpful, just the last night left a sour taste in my mouth.
I would highly recommend this hotel, but believe some staff should know better what other parts of the hotel were doing and how to speak to guests. Technically, a solo traveller, but my friend was staying in another room. Every day we were given 1 large complementary bottle or water and 2 small bottles.
However, on the final night, my friend received, but I didn’t. This was fine and I just politely mentioned it to reception. Bearing in mind there’s not many local shops to get water from, I was glad when I was told this would be rectified.
1 tiny bottle was left in my room, so I rang reception to explain, this is where things got a bit rude and I was surprised at having to ‘fight’ for a bottle of water - especially because this isn’t a cheap hotel. I was redirected to room service, who tried to charge me and then said it’s a housekeeping issue. Then spoke to reception again and then basically called me a liar when I said that I’d had free complimentary water every day.
The lack of water didn’t really bother me, it was that I was sent around in circles and then rudely told I was wrong, even when I pointed out that I’d received water 3-days in a row. After about an hour trying, and very very thirsty, housekeeping - who were very friendly btw - dropped off 4 small bottles of water. If it were a housekeeping issue, I could’ve been told this from the start and there wouldn’t have been an issue.
All that being said, I actually really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and in Marrakech itself.From$482

❣️Personally, I think the price/performance ratio is low. Unless you really want to go to the photo studio, you can stay for one night. Otherwise, the most beautiful place is the hotel lobby, so you can go to the photo studio as long as you book a meal.

The Savoy is a very nice place to stay. Not too far from the Medina, right next to a mall.
The staff were all lovely and nothing was too much for them to make sure you have a great stay.
We stayed at Movenpick last time we came but we both preferred here.
Breakfast was great with a huge selection of hot and cold food and drinks, fruits, etc.
