Speaking of treats, the breakfast was a delightful surprise. Fresh pastries, yogurt, fruit, and the amazing make-your-own waffle station had us fueled up and ready to take on the day. The waffles were truly a highlight - fluffy, crispy, and customizable with an array of toppings. It was a fun and delicious way to start the morning.
Beyond the view, breakfast, and customer service, the overall experience at the Masterpiece Hotel was awesome. The room was clean and comfortable, the public spaces were inviting, and the location was perfect for walking to restaurants, shops, and the beach. Booked this hotel temporarily, but it was an unexpected surprise on this journey. The hotel was a bit of an idea, but from the beginning of the reception, I felt that the owner was working very hard.
1. Parking is convenient and free.
2. Walk five minutes to the beach and one minute to the supermarket and fast food restaurant behind the hotel.
3. Each floor has a special reading area to provide local bird pictures to introduce local culture. There are also vending machines for drinks. I booked a room with a balcony. I could sit down and smoke and admire the sunset by the sea.
4. The front desk offers afternoon tea from 5 to 6 pm. Breakfast is on the third floor, the food is average, but on the terrace, you can overlook the waves and sails of the sea while breakfast, as well as the big rock.
5. I only booked one night, but found a coupon when I opened the door in the morning. It reads: Don't go so fast, give me a one-night fifty-six dollar discount and stay for another night, and enjoy the beauty and food here. If it hadn't been for my later itinerary, I would really like to stay another night and enjoy the tranquility of the town.FromIDR 1,652,912

We only stayed for one night, but the person who checked us in and out was super nice and friendly. We also had accidentally left our watch behind in the room after our check-out and when we went back to pick it up, they had it for us at the front desk.
The rooms themselves were nice. They had only given us one towel though, when the room was booked for two adults. Small detail. The floor was a bit dirty, as when I tried walking barefoot after a shower or in between changing, my feet would pick up dirt. Cleanliness could have been improved. Beds were spring, so they made a bit of noise when you move around on them. And the walls were quite thin, so it was easy to hear folks outside our room. Great welcome coffee tea and hot water provision table in the lobby. The luggage carts in the lobby do Not work most of the time. The wheels get stuck easily when the luggage is heavier. A bit disappointed that breakfast ends completely at 10am sharp. Some other hotels just stop the hot breakfast part and leave the cold breakfast section open until completely cleaned out. Enjoy this new listing of a peaceful 2-bedroom house only 2 blocks from the water and 2 blocks to downtown. Located upstairs is our wonderful guesthouse with a kitchen, dining, & living rooms. It is private and set back from the street in a quiet neighborhood for a relaxing experience. There is an amazing red-flowering tree between you and the street with humming birds dancing between the flowers. There are six coffee shops, several restaurants, shops, and a movie theater within a 5 minute walk.The spaceThis guesthouse has a private entrance up an outside staircase to a private patio. You enter from the entry patio and see the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The bathroom is off a central hallway that leads one way to the main, larger bedroom or the other way to the slightly smaller 2nd bedroom.I have two off-street parking spaces on the left side of the driveway. My son and I use the spaces on the right side of the driveway. You walk through a gate behind the large tree on the far left side of the property, instead of going through the breezeway to the entry courtyard of back house. This walkway leads to the stairs up to the guesthouse deck and entry.Guest accessAccess the Guesthouse to the left of the breezeway, that leads to the courtyard for the main house. This entrance is slightly hidden along the left property fence and leads to the stairway up to the front patio of the Guesthouse.The two parking spaces on the left side of the driveway are reserved for quests to use. Do not park on the right side of the driveway or in front of either garage door. If you have visitors they can park on the street to the south just before Driftwood Street. Ask them not to park with their tires on the gravel berm next to the street because it protects our properties during heavy rains.If you arrive after dark, there are colorful balls of light hanging from the beautiful tree. Also lights along the property fence and up the stairs.Other things to noteDirections from Highway One:From Hwy 1 as you enter Morro Bay take the Morro Bay Blvd exit. Go around the round-a-bout directly to the other side and stay straight on Morro Bay Blvd. for about 4-5 blocks.
