Our room was super close to the stairs that led to the beach which was awesome. However, the shower was so tiny that I kept touching the cold tile every time I tried to wash myself. The pool was very nice and warm the entire time. Parking was also never an issue, although we did have an issue with the oven. We turned it on to preheat and almost immediately it started smoking and set off the fire alarm. If you are looking for a unique vacation opportunity where you do not have to invite 25 of your closest friends and family members, Sea Spray Cottages OBX is the place for you. The location is ideal, Mile Post 11.7, just south of Nags Head Pier and just north of Snowbird's Soft Serve Ice Cream; you will be centrally located to many attractions. Sea Spray Cottages were built in 1950. There are 5 cottages in total, each cottage is similar to the others, but unique in its own way. My wife and I have been operating the SEA SPRAY COTTAGES OBX for vacations rentals since 2009. We run a mom & pop operation, an experience from a day gone-by but thoroughly enjoyed by our guests.Sea Spray Cottages OBX provide guests with a feel of what vacationing was like on the Outer Banks during a less complicated era. The cottages are equipped with modern conveniences that will make your visit relaxing and enjoyable. Linens and towels are NOT provided, but our assistant manager, Billy, can suite you up for a fee. Just ask for his contact information. Check in is at 4 and check out is at 10:00.Cottage #1 has 3-bedrooms, which sleeps 6. It has an open floor plan that lends itself to relaxed and enjoyable stay. This cottage has a welcoming front porch and a back porch for out-door dining. Dogs are welcome, we try to keep it to 2 (the cottage is primarily for folks, it's not a kennel). $125 for the first two and $100 each after that. Unique to the Outer Banks this cottage is available for nightly stays even during the summer. In the summer we do have a 3-night minimum. If your desired dates of travel are not available in this cottage, we have others. There are 5 cottages in total at Sea Spray Cottages OBX, all similar in vintage, but unique from one another. If you are a regular on the Outer Banks, they are the gray cottages with the pink doors on the beach road in Nags Head. Our room was super close to the stairs that led to the beach which was awesome. However, the shower was so tiny that I kept touching the cold tile every time I tried to wash myself. The pool was very nice and warm the entire time. Parking was also never an issue, although we did have an issue with the oven. We turned it on to preheat and almost immediately it started smoking and set off the fire alarm.
