There's an old saying, 'Up above there's paradise, down below there's Suzhou and Hangzhou.' I came back to Suzhou for a second visit with this in mind (I had a cold last time... and I have one again this time... sigh). As the last stop of this trip, my expectations for Park Hyatt Suzhou were unconsciously raised by the excellent performance of the previous two hotels. However, the facts prove that Park Hyatt Suzhou has shown through its genuine and attentive service how it stands out from and is highly sought after by numerous luxury hotels in Suzhou, and even the entire Yangtze River Delta region. First and foremost, I want to thank all the staff who helped me during my stay at Park Hyatt Suzhou. Their contributions to the hotel providing such an excellent experience for guests are indispensable! Here, I truly experienced what it means to feel at home. Just like Park Hyatt's brand motto: 'Luxury is Personal,' the team at Park Hyatt Suzhou works tirelessly to ensure every guest's experience and genuinely cares for their needs. Firstly, I must thank the lady who checked me in on the evening of August 3rd. I didn't catch her name, but she was incredibly professional! The check-in process was highly efficient, and she secured my preferred room in advance! Secondly, a special thanks to Rain and Tracy from Guest Relations. The WeChat response time from Park Hyatt Suzhou's Guest Relations department was the fastest I've encountered in all the hotels I've stayed at, including some that are much more expensive! Both staff members were never impatient when helping me, truly thinking from the guest's perspective and wholeheartedly assisting me with any issues during my trip. I remember waking up late and missing breakfast on my last day due to a cold. They made an exception and arranged a full-day breakfast set for me so I could still have breakfast 😊😊, saving me from having to eat a cold bun with my tired body. I am truly, truly grateful! There was a minor hiccup during my stay, which was personally and professionally handled by the duty manager that day! This instantly surpasses countless comparable hotels. For a luxury hotel, the manager's attitude directly reflects whether the management team cares about the guest's feelings. At Park Hyatt Suzhou, I felt the care and dedication of their entire team, from frontline staff to management! The cleanliness of the room was impeccable, not a speck of dust. I must thank the 'Shifu' (master/skilled worker) responsible for my room; I happened to return while it was being cleaned! Thank you to Shifu and the team for your dedication. Moving on from the 'software,' Park Hyatt Suzhou's 'hardware' also lives up to its reputation as Jinmantang's 'showcase room.' The construction details are beyond reproach. The full set of Gessi fixtures, with the faucet delivering a very smooth flow of water; surprisingly, the rainfall shower had excellent water pressure despite the high ceiling! The lighting control system was also the best I've seen in any hotel, using a full set of Lutron smart control panels. Each area had three intuitive and adjustable lighting modes, which was very practical. The custom Simmons Black Label mattress provided was my favorite of the nearly 40 nights I've spent in hotels this year – it felt like lying on a cloud, yet provided excellent support! Finally, one thing that must be mentioned is the Bose Bluetooth speaker and the bedside tables in the room! The choice of speaker was very thoughtful. Due to the large size of Park Hyatt Suzhou's rooms, a rechargeable Bluetooth speaker is very practical, allowing it to be moved freely around the room based on activity areas. Additionally, Park Hyatt Suzhou has clearly taken into full consideration its large base of business and long-term guests, opting for a large bedside table that is both aesthetically pleasing and practical. It was very useful in actual use! I remember a particularly memorable conversation with a Guest Relations colleague. I was surprised to find that the hotel's bathrobes had changed styles and inquired about it. The answer I received truly impressed me: 'Our hotel actively incorporates guest feedback. Some guests (including yourself) had mentioned that the previous bathrobes were a bit scratchy, so we changed them.' This kind of thoughtfulness is evident in every aspect – arranging rooms with the best views whenever possible, assisting guests wholeheartedly when they encounter problems, proactively resolving any minor flaws during the stay, and directly addressing issues; and asking 'Did you have a good stay these past two days?' during check-out: The team at Park Hyatt Suzhou truly embodies the brand's motto, 'Luxury is Personal,' with their sincerity and dedication.

During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, I brought my family to stay at Hotel Nikko Suzhou. The hotel is conveniently located in the Huqiu district, right next to Shizishan Metro Station, making transportation easy. There are plenty of dining options nearby. Although the hotel shows its age a bit with slightly dated decor and facilities, it's well-maintained, upholding the standards of a seasoned star-rated hotel. We stayed in an Executive King Room. While the room wasn't large, the view from the 27th floor was excellent, especially the mesmerizing night view. The room has a distinct Japanese style, with efficient use of space throughout, making it convenient and clean. The complimentary afternoon tea and executive lounge benefits were nothing spectacular, but given the reasonable price of the room, we couldn't ask for more. As it's a Nikko hotel, the breakfast is a blend of Chinese and Japanese cuisine. The Chinese-style Suzhou noodles and Japanese curry and rich soups were particularly noteworthy. Finally, regarding the service, the hotel staff were attentive and thoughtful. Jiajia at the front desk was especially enthusiastic and professional during both check-in and check-out. Five-star rating for her!

Great location! It's right across the street from Suzhou Station, so you just walk out and cross the road. Super convenient if you're catching a high-speed train or bus the next day (the bus station is also right across). Getting to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Pingjiang Road is easy and cheap by taxi, costing only around 17-18 yuan. The room was spacious, bright, and clean, and the bedding was fresh with no strange odors, making for a very comfortable night's sleep. The breakfast was quite varied and tasty, and the staff were all very friendly. My child accidentally broke a spoon, and the first thing the staff member did was tell us to be careful not to pick it up with our hands – it's those little details that show how much they care! I genuinely recommend this place!

I am definitely a frequent traveler/stayer/eater, and I have experienced many high-end hotels/boutique B&Bs/boutique restaurants. But this time I want to say: This boutique B&B (inn) is worth my recommendation. 1. The owner of the inn is a famous Suzhou garden designer, so the taste and foundation of the inn are very good. 2. The male and female managers have a good hobby and cultivation of tea art/meditation and meditation, which adds a lot of added value and fun to the inn. 3. In addition to the good breakfast included in the inn, the inn owner will also invite customers to join their private lunch and dinner, which is very authentic Hunan cuisine, which is simply a unique and exquisite dish in Tongli. 4. Warm and warm service and feeling. . . . Of course, other routine services are also very good, so I won’t say more. In short, recommended!

The weather is getting colder, so it's time to soak in the hot springs! The hotel faces Taihu Lake, the air is fresh, and the view is amazing. The hotel service is also excellent; staff contacted us in advance to ask about our check-in time and number of guests. Because we were traveling with a child, they thoughtfully upgraded us to a family suite. The room was large and spacious, and had two bathrooms, which was very convenient for families. A special thank you to Xiao Liu at the front desk for her attentive and patient service over the past two days, and also to the housekeeping staff for keeping the place spotless. The hotel was located at the lake with an amazing view. The rooms was really nice and super clean and the mattress was really comfortable to sleep very well. The facility of the hotel was nice and very stylish, all in white and modern. The hotel was really lovely. The only thing that is really not good organised, there is no food except breakfast and afternoon tea (in that case fruits). We needed to order from a delivery service (only Chinese food available and it's was not really good). A hotel located at that wonderful place with that high price should have basic foods at the restaurant.

This hotel is perfectly situated right by Lake Taihu. We'd contacted them beforehand, so check-in was super smooth upon arrival. The front desk staff were polite and friendly. Our room on the 11th floor directly overlooked Lake Taihu, offering a truly beautiful view. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, bright, and spotless. The bathroom was particularly great for families, with a separate shower and tub – perfect for anyone who loves a good soak to de-stress. The hotel's 2nd floor boasts excellent fitness facilities, including a swimming pool and gym. The pool was very clean, and the water temperature and hygiene were reliable. There's also a LEGO playroom on the 2nd floor where kids can play freely or build with LEGOs, accompanied by family. Sample LEGO models are displayed on the tables, allowing children to follow along and discover the fun of LEGO building. Breakfast hours are very convenient, running from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. This extended window is ideal for families with children or seniors, allowing everyone to sleep in and still enjoy a leisurely meal. The breakfast spread was extensive and varied, with both Western and Chinese options to suit all tastes. Overall, the hotel offers a luxurious, elegant, and comfortable environment, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Our two-day, one-night stay had its ups and downs. First, the hotel's cleanliness and location were good. We didn't find any obvious sanitation issues, and the bathroom and toilet were very clean. The hotel is located right by Taihu Lake, making it quite convenient to drive to several attractions in Suzhou. The room environment was generally good, but the air conditioning in the hallway was clearly insufficient. It seemed the first floor of our building was still under renovation. The soft play area facilities are quite suitable for children under 5 years old. For older children, I'd recommend the outdoor climbing facilities, which are more challenging. What significantly impacted our stay was the management and service at the swimming pool. Firstly, there were no clear dress code regulations in the pool lobby. While we were swimming with our child, we were told that another guest had complained about my husband wearing his own clean underwear under his swim trunks, and he was asked to change. Then, because my husband's swim trunks were a bit loose, a lifeguard told him they weren't standard swimming trunks. We have never encountered such rules at other hotels, and we couldn't find any posted regulations. We also asked the front desk staff, who said the so-called rules were not posted and explained that they were concerned about bacteria on underwear. Leaving aside the fact that the pool itself contains disinfectant, does wearing only swim trunks magically eliminate the bacteria issue? Additionally, the hotel did not provide steps or toilet seat reducers for children to assist with hand washing. Also, the family next door made a lot of noise in the hallway for a whole hour, which also affected our stay experience. Overall, for the same price, you can find parent-child hotels with more thoughtful and considerate service. Personally, I would not choose to stay here again next time.

This hotel has been around for a long time. I visited about a decade and a half ago, and back then, it felt very serene and secluded. However, I've noticed significant changes this time. It's clear they've kept up with the times, putting a lot of effort into various aspects like the environment, attention to detail, value-added services, and marketing. Overall, I found it to be pretty good value for money. While the facilities aren't as new as those in recently built hotels, the rooms are completely free of any strange or musty smells, and the location is excellent. The hot spring pools are conveniently clustered together, making it perfect for families with children and seniors. My only slight disappointment was that the 'fish spa' pool didn't actually have any fish. The front desk staff were all very warm and friendly, and the restaurant service was equally enthusiastic and attentive. I didn't get a chance to try any of the in-house activities, so I'm not sure what they offer.

Elld at the front desk was always asking if we needed anything, and Chen Liang, the shuttle driver, was so thoughtful. He noticed I had a bit of trouble getting in and out of the shuttle and immediately offered me a footstool, which was really touching. Pros: Heartwarming Service, Extra Points for Pet-Friendliness I must particularly praise the hotel's service. From check-in to check-out, the staff were consistently enthusiastic and responded to requests promptly. What's especially noteworthy is how friendly the staff were towards pets, proactively addressing the needs of guests traveling with animals. This was the most satisfying aspect of my stay. Cons: Details Need Improvement, Experience Compromised 1. **Hardware Shortcomings:** The soundproofing isn't very good. I could easily hear doors closing in the hallway at night, which affected my sleep quality. 2. **Limited Dining Options for Pets:** Guests with pets are restricted to only a few tables near the front desk for dining, lacking a sense of exclusivity. 3. **Flawed Breakfast Registration Process:** There was no one at the restaurant entrance to check guests in. An auntie suddenly approached me to ask for my room number while I was getting food. After I had settled down with my food, I went back into the restaurant for a drink and was asked again. The process is redundant and lacks proper standardization. 4. **Pet-Friendliness is Superficial:** Although pets are allowed and the staff are enthusiastic, designating only the area near the front desk for pet dining falls short of genuine ”pet-friendliness.” Overall Impression The professionalism of the service team and their pet-friendly attitude are commendable. However, the shortcomings in hardware facilities and service details are quite prominent. If the soundproofing could be improved, and especially if the pet dining area planning could be optimized and service procedures standardized, the overall experience would be significantly enhanced.

After getting off the highway, I followed the beautiful scenery of Taihu Lake all the way to the lake and — —Zero distance to Taihu Lake. A hotel with a sense of design. You can see the endless Taihu Lake (like the seaside) from the room. The restaurant on the second floor. You can see the island in the distance. You can see the chinaberry tree swaying in the wind in the near distance. There is also a very touching orange small house. It is like a fairyland. It comes into view. Traveling to Suzhou with kids during the summer vacation, choosing Shangri-La on Tayuan Road was absolutely the right decision! First, let's talk about the location, which is truly its most appealing aspect – it's close to all the core scenic areas of Gusu. Whether it's strolling, eating, and drinking on Guanqian Street or walking on the flagstone paths of Pingjiang Road to admire the small bridges and flowing water, our family never felt rushed or bothered getting around. All the time saved on travel was converted into happy moments with the kids. The hotel's facilities are very well-maintained, showing that daily upkeep is definitely in place. The rooms are spacious, and the layout is standard and functional, not overly fancy, but everything you need is there. Our family felt comfortable and uncrowded, and we could spread out our luggage without feeling cramped. The biggest plus, however, was the staff! From check-in, Lisa was warm, thoughtful, and greeted us with a friendly and polite smile. My children especially love playing in the water, so we were thrilled to find a hotel with a clean pool. Suzhou was bustling during the summer. After exploring the streets and alleys all day, returning to the hotel at night, turning on the air conditioning, and collapsing into bed instantly relieved all our fatigue. I've stayed at InterContinental Jinji Lake many times, and this time I chose it again. If I had to give a reason, it's simply because I feel comfortable and familiar with it. It was peak summer holiday season and a Saturday, so the hotel was very busy. Our room wasn't ready even by 3:30 PM. After a phone call, the front desk agent promptly upgraded our room, and I'm very grateful for that! Although the hotel is a bit older, both the public areas and the rooms are very well-maintained and don't show their age at all. We stayed in a suite, which was very spacious and incredibly comfortable. The floor-to-ceiling windows in both the living room and bedroom offered direct, first-rate views of Jinji Lake and the Ferris wheel. The dining experience at Jinhaixuan Restaurant on the 27th floor was excellent, with fantastic outdoor views and delicious dishes. The breakfast buffet quality was still great. My only minor regret this time was that, apart from the host, no one asked if I wanted tea or coffee. Perhaps they were too busy with all the guests and overlooked it? The package price on Trip.com was really a great deal. We booked it in advance for our 24th anniversary and stayed for two nights. We happened to be there during a typhoon, so it rained constantly, but thankfully the hotel had everything we needed for food, drinks, and entertainment, so we weren't bored staying indoors. On the first day, we checked into the 'Captain's Suite' on the sixth floor. The facilities were a bit old, but the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views. The bedding felt a little damp. On the second day, the rain was so heavy that water seeped into the room from the deck area. The hotel upgraded us to the 'Navigator Grand Suite' on the eighth floor. The facilities there were newer and well-equipped, making for a much more comfortable stay than the 'Captain's Suite', and the bedding was dry. The breakfast on the first floor was packed every morning, and the variety of dishes was quite good, appealing to most palates. We also checked out the afternoon tea at the lobby lounge. It was beautifully presented, but the cakes weren't very tasty. It was good for taking photos and passing the time, though. The executive lounge on the seventh floor only offered soft drinks and alcohol during the day. However, during dinner hours, there were hot dishes, snacks, and cakes, although the selection wasn't extensive. Overall, the hotel is a flagship Crown Plaza, so it's quite large and has a clear locational advantage. It's just a bit older now, which is to be expected given its age.

Overall experience: For my trip to Suzhou, I stayed at the Licheng Courtyard Hotel - Shantang Street Garden Branch. The hotel itself boasts a beautiful Suzhou-style private garden with pavilions, corridors, small courtyards, and lush greenery, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast buffet was rich and varied. My room was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, just a 5-8 minute walk to the ancient Shantang Street, and very close to Changmen Gate and Shilu business district. It's also incredibly convenient for visiting Beisi Pagoda, Pingjiang Road, and the Humble Administrator's Garden, making sightseeing effortless. Transportation: Upon arriving at Suzhou Station, I opted for the atmospheric waterway entrance: I took the West Line water bus from the south square ferry terminal at Suzhou Railway Station. The boat trip through the moat took 15 minutes directly to Shantang Street North Pier. Disembarking, I was right on the thousand-year-old Shantang ancient street, an immersive start to my江南水乡 (Jiangnan water town) journey. The video shows the hotel lobby. Facilities: Quite new. Hygiene: Clean. Environment: Elegant. Dining recommendations (both located in the Shantang Street area): 1. Lunch stop | Panda Hotpot (Shantang Street Branch) This is a unique hotpot restaurant near the scenic area. The Suzhou-style fish soup base is fresh, fragrant, and rich (the tomato broth is also quite浓郁). They also offer special Gusu-style covered-bowl blind box side dishes. It's a great spot to satisfy cravings and warm up after exploring. 2. Dinner choice | Gusu Boat Feast · Shantang River View Suzhou Cuisine The window seats offer direct views of Shantang River at night, allowing you to enjoy the water town's lights while savoring authentic Suzhou cuisine. The Squirrel-shaped Mandarin Fish and Osmanthus Braised Pork are genuinely authentic. What's more, noodles and rice are refilled for free, and the noodles are scallion oil noodles! There's absolutely no worry about not getting enough to eat with Jiangnan dishes, and this is in a scenic area! The overall experience is outstanding, especially with the window open on the second floor, which is particularly beautiful. It's definitely worth a special visit.

We specifically chose this established hotel for our trip, and it was definitely the right decision. There's no flashy design; it focuses on comfort and reliability. Staff members Harlan and concierge Gavin were gentle and patient, providing detailed explanations when we asked about directions or how to adjust the hot water. The hotel is very well-maintained; you can't tell it's twenty years old, and the hygiene standards are consistently high. If you're driving, there's free underground parking, though you'll need to get a voucher from the front desk each time you leave. Pingjiang Road is right behind the hotel, just a few minutes' walk through the alleyways. Wyndham is a well-established five-star brand, and while the decor might be a bit dated, the hotel still maintains an impressive scale and elegance. You can tell the staff put a lot of effort into its upkeep. The rooms are quite spacious and clean, and the front desk staff are friendly. I was very satisfied with my stay. I've already earned the maximum points!

On this trip to Suzhou, I chose the Hyatt by Jinji Lake, and overall it was very comfortable. But what I want to praise the most is Julie from Guest Relations. The night before check-in, she added me on WeChat to confirm my needs, reminded me of directions, and told me I could drop off my luggage early. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable enough, and the location couldn't be beat – close to Eslite Spectrum and Moonlight Wharf. Julie's discreet approach of 'there when you need her, but not intrusive when you don't' is what made this hotel stay so pleasant. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Suzhou.

I stayed at the W Hotel, a landmark hotel in Suzhou, for a concert! My high-floor lake view room wasn't just about the scenery; it was about how the lake view seamlessly integrated into every little moment of my day. The room's floor-to-ceiling window wasn't just a viewing portal, but a constant backdrop throughout my stay. When I was too lazy to go out in the afternoon, I'd set the snacks I bought from the mall on the low table by the window, slowly eating while bathed in the golden light from Jinji Lake. Outside, there was the expansive lake; inside, a relaxed, homey feeling. No need to specially check-in or take photos – just simply whiling away the time like this was incredibly comfortable. ☕️☕️☕️ As dusk fell, and it started to rain outside, I didn't need to go all the way to the lakeside for a view. Sitting on the room's lounge bed, I watched the lake transition from bright white to deep blue, the lights of buildings on the opposite bank gradually flickering on, and the light patterns of the Gate of the Orient changing, casting shimmering ripples on the water. Sometimes I'd dim the room lights very low, leaving just a bit of ambient strip lighting. The interplay of indoor light and the city lake view outside created an atmosphere that felt naturally emergent, not artificially contrived. For someone like me, whose work pace is usually hectic, slowing down to experience life like this is incredibly therapeutic ❤️🩹… The room's layout was perfect for a slow-paced vacation. The desk faced a side window, so I could glance at the lake while handling small tasks; the wardrobe offered ample storage, allowing me to spread out my travel clothes. The bathroom's frosted glass was interesting; at night, when soaking in the tub, I could switch the glass to transparent mode, and the entire night view of Jinji Lake would unfold before my eyes. Soaking in the hot water, listening to soft music from the room's speakers, all the fatigue from my journey slowly melted away 🍧🧃🧋. The room's air conditioning was very comfortable; even with the hot weather outside, the indoor temperature remained just right. The curtains were electric, completely blocking out external lights at night for a peaceful rest 🧩🧩. Waking up in the morning, drawing the curtains immediately revealed the morning mist over the lake 🎡🎡. The hotel has direct access to Suzhou Center, making it convenient to buy drinks and snacks to bring back and enjoy the lake view right from the room. The value of a lake view room lies in not having to rush around, but being able to weave the beauty of Jinji Lake into ordinary daily moments like eating, daydreaming, and resting! Highly recommended!! 🌅🌅🌅🌆🏙️

The hotel's biggest highlight is definitely the kayaking in the lotus pond – it's a must-try. The staff is very lean, but despite that, they really tried their best to meet guest needs. It's clear the understaffing isn't their fault. The same goes for the restaurant; there aren't enough chefs, which makes you hesitant to order much. However, there's nothing else to eat nearby, so you're stuck with the hotel food, which honestly isn't great. If the weather is good, the outdoor lawn is huge, and the water sports are decent. It's a good spot for families with kids or dogs. I really didn't like the room. Next time, I'd try a regular suite instead of a villa. The villa felt like a renovated unfinished building. Overall, I'd still be willing to come back if I'm in the immediate area.

The facilities show their age, but they're well-maintained and quite clean. The surroundings boast a lake view with a large lawn and a lakeside boardwalk below, which would be lovely in spring and autumn. However, it's hard to spend extended time outdoors during summer. The gym isn't great; the equipment is old and the lighting isn't very good, placing it in the lower-mid range compared to current top-tier hotels. The pool is decent, though.

The Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou is absolutely the pinnacle of atmospheric getaways in Suzhou, truly a hidden gem of a garden hotel! Friends who love the ancient charm of Jiangnan and a relaxed vacation vibe will fall deeply in love with this place. The location is truly irreplaceable; nestled in the heart of the ancient city, adjacent to the Master of the Nets Garden and Canglang Pavilion, you step right out into the bustling streets and alleys of old Suzhou. It's within walking distance to commercial areas, offering tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle. You can easily explore ancient streets and visit gardens, yet still enjoy peace and quiet within the hotel – the location is simply superb. The room experience is incredibly refined and comfortable. The room types are bright and airy with excellent natural light, and the courtyard rooms come with a private small courtyard, allowing you to admire the Suzhou garden scenery right from your bed. The in-room amenities are high-end and complete, featuring branded toiletries and exceptionally high-quality bedding that is soft against the skin and provides comfortable support, ensuring a particularly peaceful night's rest. The independent bathroom is well-designed with thoughtful details, and the mini-bar is fully equipped and convenient to use. Overall, it feels both homey and luxurious, with every detail exuding quality. What's most heartwarming is the hotel's butler service, which is attentive, meticulous, and responsive throughout. They communicated needs in advance before check-in and were on call during our stay, carefully attending to every aspect from travel and daily routines to replenishing supplies. Their service was gentle yet discreet – special thanks to Ambo! The hotel lobby also features an adorable Golden Retriever named 'Little Sister Jin,' who is incredibly therapeutic. The open and relaxed atmosphere, combined with subtle hints of everyday life, breaks away from the monotonous business hotel model, preserving the unique gentle charm of Jiangnan. It's a niche, luxurious, and highly recommendable place for repeat stays!

My recent trip to Suzhou led me to stay at the Suzhou Marriott, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. The hotel is located in the heart of Gusu District's old city, making it incredibly convenient to get to Hanshan Temple and Shantang Street by taxi. I was pleasantly surprised to find that booking a room even came with complimentary tickets to Hanshan Temple! The lobby incorporates traditional Jiangnan design, and the charming Suzhou-style garden on the first floor is perfect for photos. The guest rooms are spacious and clean, with floor-to-ceiling windows on higher floors offering panoramic views of the ancient city. The bedding was soft, and the soundproofing was excellent. Lion, a staff member at the breakfast restaurant, was very enthusiastic, and the breakfast selection was incredibly rich, featuring authentic Suzhou red soup noodles and osmanthus pastries. Georgia and Allen at the front desk were gentle and considerate, while Katrina at the service center was quick to respond to requests. The heated pool and gym facilities were also well-equipped. With its five-star quality and excellent location, this hotel is perfect for both travelers and those looking for a short getaway. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Suzhou.

Staying at the Nanyuan Hotel was undoubtedly the highlight of my trip to Suzhou. This garden-style hotel is a living historical museum, having hosted many important leaders. The Chiang family villa and Xiangqu Tower within the grounds are steeped in rich history. On the day of check-in, hotel staff gave us a dedicated tour of the gardens, providing detailed explanations that made us feel like we were traveling through time with every changing view. The room was well-equipped with high-quality aromatherapy, coffee, and tea. The staff were incredibly attentive; noticing we enjoyed them, they discreetly left extra coffee and tea bags, and even gave me a few additional aromatherapy pellets. This kind of thoughtful service, anticipating needs without being asked, is truly rare and appreciated. The front desk offered several small gifts during check-in. Upon departure, they also gave us exclusive fridge magnets for the building we stayed in, as well as one for the Chiang family villa, which are lovely keepsakes. The Nanyuan perfectly blends historical charm with warm, attentive service, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

This is my fifth stay at this hotel. Although it's a bit older, the facilities are well-maintained and all in working order. The hotel's service is truly commendable. Whether it's Sister Liu from housekeeping, or Chen Honghua and Sister Hu from the breakfast restaurant, they always go above and beyond for guests. Even the doorman works diligently to help guests with their luggage and load it into their cars. As a Ctrip Diamond VIP who has stayed in countless hotels, their service genuinely makes me feel at home. The location is fantastic, just two subway stops from Suzhou Station, and very close to Lingering Garden, Shantang Street, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Suzhou Museum. It's right next to Vientiane City Mall, with another mall directly opposite, so dining and shopping are incredibly convenient and enjoyable. What's more, you can find authentic Suzhou local snacks right in Vientiane City, saving you the trouble of searching elsewhere. This was a huge plus, especially traveling during the scorching summer. The hotel really emphasizes thoughtful, non-intrusive service. The rooms are spacious and quiet, offering beautiful views of Suzhou's morning and nightscapes. On the last night before we left, the AC wasn't cooling, and the bread left in the room wasn't fresh. The front desk promptly prepared fresh bread and had it ready to be delivered to our room first thing the next morning. They also offer a bed-joining service and have many family-friendly activities, making it perfect for family trips. Downstairs is the Zizhi Garden, a restoration based on historical documents. Though small, it perfectly captures the charm of a Suzhou-style garden. I personally think it's even better for photos than the larger garden attractions because there are fewer crowds. Taking pictures, feeding the fish, and enjoying the scenery there is truly delightful.

Absolutely amazing! Appearance: The entrance isn't huge, but the front desk is incredibly clean and beautiful. Location: It's just a short walk to Guanqian Street, making the location excellent. Everything is close by, and it's absolutely quiet at night (there's a small green belt separating it from the road, which also provides shade if you're waiting for a taxi). Interior: The room decor is fantastic, and all the appliances are top-notch (we almost didn't know how to use the shower because it was so high-tech!). There's a backlit mirror, which is super convenient for putting on makeup. The TV is large, so you won't be bored resting in the hotel. The pillows and mattress are latex, just like sleeping at home, incredibly comfortable. Service: There's a laundry room, a free coffee machine, and a tea room (with a fridge for storing things). The service is unbeatable, seriously. All the front desk staff are very enthusiastic, and they deliver all food deliveries directly to your door. The owner is also very kind and gave us lots of helpful tips – so thoughtful. Excellent value for money! Highly recommended. The location and environment are great! 👍 Right outside is the popular Xuezhi Street, so you'll never be short of food and drinks. This was my second stay at Pingjiang Lodge, probably because my first experience left a good impression. This time, I booked an Elegant King Room, which was in the same building as the lobby. It seems to be an older building, and the overall maintenance is decent. However, some details were a bit frustrating. The bathroom wasn't a wet/dry separation, and showering in the bathtub was really unacceptable, especially since even nearby budget hotels have wet/dry separation. I asked the front desk if I could switch rooms, but they said nothing was available. I even offered to wait for a room to open up, but was still told no vacancies. So, I had to make do. Around 10 PM, the air conditioner started making a strange noise. A maintenance worker came, and it got a little better, but it was still quite loud. Around 11 PM, the front desk offered to move us to an upgraded room, which was a good recovery effort. However, moving in the middle of the night was quite a hassle. We were moved to what I believe was a Tanhua room type, which was much better overall. But, the air conditioner was still incredibly noisy. At that point, I just gave up and didn't want to move again. The room's layout wasn't great either. For example, after showering, you had to walk to the sink to get a towel, then go to another area to dry your hair, but the comb was back in the shower area – it just felt a bit illogical. Still, for the price, it was generally acceptable. The breakfast also wasn't as good as before, and the amenities were replaced with large bottles. Also, when I returned after going out, I wasn't sure if the fruit on the table was placed there during turn-down service. I feel that if staff need to enter the room, they should try to inform guests beforehand.
