The room is badly in need of renovations because the very old carpeted floor is uneven and bumpy. There is a smell in the room where I had to open the window to air.
The bathtub hot water is just barely warm. A report to the receptionist on my 3rd evening.. who suggested I change my room.
When I checked on the first day, the reception offered a room upgrade which I rejected after I went to the room because it was very dark and gave an uneasy feeling.

This hotel is a bit biased on Victoria Island. If it is not self-driving, it is very inconvenient. The hotel is relatively new. The facilities are relatively complete. There are hot springs. Facing a small lake, it was quite peaceful. There is a kitchen, but we don’t have time to cook by ourselves. The breakfast at the hotel is good, you can make your own waffles. I recently stayed at the Courtyard Nanaimo and had a lovely experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with good coffee facilities—a nice touch to start the day.
The location was perfect, close to the seaside and many great restaurants, making it easy to explore the area.
The only downside was that parking wasn’t free, which was a bit disappointing. There was also a payment error where my card was charged multiple times, but the hotel handled it professionally and issued a quick refund, which I appreciated.
Overall, it was a great stay, and I would happily return!

This is a farm and agritourism location so there are days where there is quite a bit of activity happening throughout the day including seeing and running into other guests, and on occasion, the running of tractors and other large equipment; however, we aren't super early risers here so don't worry, your mornings are safe with us.Additionally, with easy access to the inland Island Highway comes with it the potential for traffic noise. Evenings and weekends are much more quiet but its the price we pay for easy access to the main island route to get you quickly from lake to lake, beach to beach.Our farm is in a rural setting so please expect some rural excitement! From time to time you may see bears, deer, mice, rabbits, eagles, ravens, vultures and on a rare occasion a cougar. When traveling to Vancouver Island with plans to venture out onto the trails or to rural areas it's important to learn how to behave in animal encounters. The room is badly in need of renovations because the very old carpeted floor is uneven and bumpy. There is a smell in the room where I had to open the window to air.
The bathtub hot water is just barely warm. A report to the receptionist on my 3rd evening.. who suggested I change my room.
When I checked on the first day, the reception offered a room upgrade which I rejected after I went to the room because it was very dark and gave an uneasy feeling.

I recently stayed at the Courtyard Nanaimo and had a lovely experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with good coffee facilities—a nice touch to start the day.
The location was perfect, close to the seaside and many great restaurants, making it easy to explore the area.
The only downside was that parking wasn’t free, which was a bit disappointing. There was also a payment error where my card was charged multiple times, but the hotel handled it professionally and issued a quick refund, which I appreciated.
Overall, it was a great stay, and I would happily return!

The staff from the moment I walked in the door were amazing. They were super polite and very helpful and very informative for all my questions and needs. The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. I came there for a relaxing weekend and got just that. The restaurant and lounge staff were so nice and on the ball. It was very busy there but they never skipped a beat and always made me feel like I was the only one in the room. I was super impressed with this.
It was disappointing that there was no hot tub as it was dealing with repairs at the time, hey these things happen, but the pool was great and the workout room/gym was very impressive as well.
Location of this resort is amazing, honestly can’t get much better. Spectacular views on beachfront to one the most popular beaches in this region. What a beautiful spot!!
I feel like I can go on and on, all and all I had a great experience at the Bayside Resort and I will definitely be back soon!!

We had a fabulous meal in the onsite restaurant finished off with a 40 year old Fladgate for dessert. We walked for miles on the sand and the boardwalk and even got to get our Pickleball fix with several courts and welcoming locals adjacent to the hotel!
Once again, the Beach Club was a perfect distraction!
