|1.51km from city centerPerfect, close to everything, we made almost all walks, restaurants and places to take breakfast nearby, the most remote walks/destinations gave to use the metro, others because not being served by the metro we use the bond and/or bus , these are well filled, I recommend taking Uber, it is not expensive and it is worth it for convenience to reach the most remote destinations. The only inconvenient, always has one (smile) at least, was the acoustic isolation between the apartments that were in different floors; on my apartment there was a family with some children who were running in the apartment during the night (sleep a little later than my family), the noise/vibration of the footsteps in the upper floor was very disturbing, but soon it stopped when everyone was going to sleep, did not compromise the stay, but it can be a problem with certainty, it will depend on who is hosted in the upper floor. Well, that's, even with the problem of the acoustic hospitation I would host again in that establishment, we were very well taken on the reception, even let us up with the bags and then return to check-in, I found that very good and kind from the reception.

The room where you stayed did not have a lift on the fourth floor. The front desk helped move to the fourth floor. Everything was very good. The hotel with its own characteristics was scary on the fourth floor. It was hard to lock the door. Later, the front desk came to demonstrate it again. There is a place to introduce breakfast after check-in, and there are snacks and juices for free. Small defects Hotel facilities in general, my family suite is only a lamp is very dark, the wardrobe can not be locked, sleep at night is a little scared, the toilet is a little small.

|1.88km from city centerIt is a fairly well-established bed and breakfast system, located at the Sao Sebastiao metro entrance, opposite the Corte Ingles. The welcome was given in French and by a very friendly and pleasant host. The room was very large. The bathroom, although pretty and very clean, was difficult to close using the installed hook.
We had a fairly well-stocked breakfast, there was plenty of everything. A very pleasant break in Lisbon.

Our hosts/receptionists had excellent customer service and made sure we were taken care of. The double bed with private bathroom was on the smaller side but we made it work. The snacks and kind note upon arrival was a nice touch as well.

|0.97km from city centerVery central location - hidden behind a coded-entry door next to a little cafe, we had the 1-bed apartment on the 3rd floor, access via a modern lift. The website photos are 100% accurate! The apartment is beautifully decorated and the views across the city to the Castelo de S. Jorge. Comfortable bed and well-equipped kitchen & bathroom. The day beds in the lounge were lovely to relax on after long walks! There is a fair bit of noise at night - from neighbouring roof-top bars, but we slept well anyway (and ear-plugs are provided in case of need). Residentas team checked up via WhatsApp to see if all OK, or if we needed anything, we felt undisturbed but supported, we had a lovely stay. Location is across from the Miradouro park, and Baixa-Chiado and Restauradoures Metro stations are nearby. Lots of tiny supermarkets on the back streets, and good local bakeries too - turn right up the hill, on past the florists there is a beautiful pastelaria, or the cafe on the ground floor is an easy option. Down the street the M'Arrecreo pizzeria is fantastic (book ahead), and Luggage at City Center is super convenient to drop your bags for departure day (see separate review, short walk down hill, with washrooms and close to Metro.

|5.22km from city centerI visited Lisbon again in August and this time I preferred to stay out side of downtown as i have a huge van and in down town it is difficult to find a parking spot. The apartment has a great location and view and it has a parking area but you need to pay 10€ per day. The apartment was very clean and it has all the appliances you might need ( washing machine, dishwasher etc but tv was very small though) it has two bedroom one full size bed and two single beds. The single beds were not that comfy. The apartment has ac system in all the rooms as well. The building has elevator from garage to the apartments and very convenient especially if you have many luggages. I handled the check in online so did not spend time when i arrive.

|0.8km from city centerReally nice staff, looked after us well. Allowed us to store our luggage and organised a taxi to the airport for us for the early hours. Our room was small but had everything you needed. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast selection wasn’t amazing but kept us going until lunch. Only small problem was on Saturday nights there is a nightclub below, we were on the second floor and could hear the music it stopped about 2am. Not a huge issue was only for one night, not much they can do about it plus if you’re there on holidays you might be out just as late on the Saturday night and miss it completely. Location is good about a 25 min walk to downtown Lisbon but there is also plenty of buses and the subway that will take you in in 10.

We loved our stay and found the hotel to be really welcoming and a really high quality boutique hotel in a great central location for exploring Lisbon and especially Baixa. We researched the hotel through Tripadvisor and booked through Hotels.com and we found the hotel lived up to the reviews others had left - the reached out even before we left the UK to organise a pick-up from the airport if we needed it and were really helpful throughout the stay. We were in room 2A and it was beautiful and serviced everyday and the room had all we needed and a lovely bathroom and great shower. We arrived from the UK early morning, using the arranged car, and it was clearly too early to checkin but they stored our bags and provided some directions. When we came back to checking it was smooth and they provided a lovely bottle of Port for us to enjoy in the room . The location is so central for trams , tours and key sites and the staff also provided some handy recommendations for restaurants. We found all the staff to be unfailingly helpful and every time we popped in or out they always engaged with a Bom Diaz / Ola or just Hello. Great location, lovely room and good service - would definitely recommend.

The suite is very comfortable.
On the negative points I would like to point out two things: the first is that the room is above a restaurant and the room was a little smell of food. The second is that the bed had no spare-slips, only a coat for the wooden with signs of dirt.

Even though the rooms are small, we had everything we needed, brightly decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very satisfactory, juices, fresh fruit, cheeses, hams, savoury tarts, scrambled eggs, bacon, veg, pastries, warm bread etc. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The pool and decking on the first floor was a welcome treat during the warm afternoons. Would def use this hotel again and recommend to friends.

They were cleaned every day. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are supermarkets, cafes and restaurants nearby. We booked two rooms. There was an airconditioner in one of them and in the other one there were two fans. There is no lift.

When I entered the room I was very surprised. The musty odor of mold was my first experience, that came from the bathroom. The bathroom was very small, super uncomfortable In addition no soap and neither toilet paper was there :))))))) The night I heard constant rumors from the street. The building was very old, quiet all night, probably hard to sleep with the noise of the engine room and elevator It is a very old building, so you get all the difficulties with it I could not open the door to the balcony, and any windows in my room. The bed smelled old, the furniture and the room maintenance seems the cheapest possible and sometimes improvised. This is a kind of facility you might desire in a desperate situation, but not the place if you plan to relax or enjoy vacation

|1.65km from city centerI stayed recently. Unfortunately, my sister had an accident so our 3 day pilgrimage to Fatima became over a fortnight’s stay. It is a wonderful little guesthouse. More importantly, the reception staff were absolutely amazing to me. Everyday, they asked about my sister & took the time to come & speak to me personally. They absolutely went above & beyond. They phoned me taxis to the hospital daily, gave me so much advice & information. Gonçalo, Natalia & Ines were the kindest people I have ever encountered. I am absolutely so grateful to them. They really helped me get through such an awful situation whilst alone. I will never forget how much they helped. Anyway, the rooms are absolutely spotless. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, the gorgeous breakfast is delicious, so fresh, homemade pastries, freshly squeezed juice, free coffee & water available all day in reception. A beautiful courtyard to just sit & relax. An absolute hidden gem. Such an old historic beautiful authentic Portuguese residence. I loved my stay despite the circumstances. So much nicer than a soulless hotel. Thank you so much Casa do Patio, especially Goncalo, Natalia, Ines & the lovely friendly breakfast staff & housekeeping. Never forget your kindness. |0.48km from city centerPictures on the website are from the new building and be aware that once you arrive you can get one of the old rooms (which are dirty with old furniture and insects) that belongs to the next building which is the Estrella Dos Santos PENSION , and they will charge you the same amount as you stayed in a hotel ($232 for two nights) . They put us in a terrible dirty , very tiny room with no view (there was a wall ). We paid for triple room but because they needed to removed/clean an smashed spider from the dirty wall and some stained/dirty sheets from the room they give us a doble room ”while we wait ” (in the same building Pension) the manager said that we will stay there for our whole stay and charged us for a triple room when we stayed in an awful double room. We chose this place for the reviews -8.5 stars (! ) , for the ”laundry service” and the for 17 minutes walk to Saint George Castle, once you are there they say that there is no laundry service and we have to walk almost half hour to get to the Castle and to the CENTER. We felt very foolish. This is the first time that we had a terrible experience thanks to the very poor skills of a manager who treated us like they were doing us a favor. Unfortunately, we couldn't cancel this reservation because we paid when we arrived at the reception area which was very nicely decorated, after this, they sent us to the next building which is connected with the new building. And of course the manager didn't want to refund us at least with the difference for the price of the triple room with a double. I do not recommend this place. Pictures can show themselves

Apar**ent is on the first floor with about 20 stairs. We could walk to sightseeing, and there was a lot of shopping and dining in the area. Despite being on lively square, it was quiet inside (we stayed on Sunday night). The apar**ent was equipped with a basic kitchenette, small eating area, bathroom and spacious bedroom with comfy bed. Everything was clean and well maintained. Communication with the manager was efficient and check-in easy.

Lovely rooms, incredible venue, renovated beautifully with an interesting history, the owners are lovely, very passionate about the rebuild and are happy to share their love of the building and its history. The garden is a peaceful oasis of silence in an otherwise crazy city. Coffee is exceptional, breakfast is wonderful. Lovely artwork and special touches around the hotel like the beautiful fresh flowers. The mixologist/barman is engaged with his job, interactive, knowledgeable and passionate about what he does, a great person to talk to about local drinks and wines. All in all a wonderful, peaceful stay, and a great connection to the history of the city, can't fault my stay in the slightest, except that I missed out on the tour of the coffee factory!

|1.26km from city centerNever have I ever seen a hotel like this. Checked in and checked back out within an hour or so. Booked to stay with my partner and was given room 603 which ended up being a ‘twin room with balcony’ which was jammed shut and the door looking very very old. The corridor to the room was in pitch black with the chain ripped off the door so how you’re expected to sleep easy knowing anyone could try the door is beyond me. Room 603 was covered in mould, had a musty damp smell that felt suffocating, some sort of shower with what looked like a bidet at the bottom of it which was dirty. We couldn’t bare to stay there even for a night as our skin was crawling! We didn’t dare pull the covers back as the walls were covered in damp and water and the bedsheets were also soaking wet! Very very disappointed, we were offered another room but the full place looked disgusting so we checked out and paid an extra €300 after paying for 4 nights at the residencial to move to a hotel that we could actually sleep in without worrying about being bitten by something or being broken into. I never write reviews but please everyone be warned, this place is NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

The English however was not good enough to give me any recommendations for the city, this doesn't bother me but may some other people. I had a room on the top floor. The view was nothing exciting but the room was adequate, outlets near the bed and a full bathroom. I asked the cleaner to not disturb the room during my stay and to wait for me to leave at the end of the trip but they still came in each day, and there was no safe which was a bit annoying for me. Overall, you get what you pay for and at this price it really is great. Located literally a 20 second walk away from the green metro directly into the city centre - this is the best! (don't miss the remarkable ramen restaurant which is on the same street too!)

|2.23km from city centerWij hebben hier overnacht tijdens ons jaarlijks team uitje. Wij hadden diverse appartementen in het complex en ze zagen er stuk voor stuk goed uit. Wij hadden wat problemen met het inchecken en werden direct geholpen door de interieur verzorgster. Samen met iemand van het complex was het zo geregeld. Ons appartement was van alle gemakken voorzien. Wasmachine, vaatwasser, magnetron, broodrooster etc. De appartementen liggen niet minden in het centrum en in het mooiste gedeelte van Lissabon maar met de taxi, uber of het OV ben je zo overal. Wij hebben hier een goed verblijf gehad.

|0.91km from city centerThe host didn't email the door code to me and there was no one answering the doorbell for the first three times my friends and I tried when it's raining heavily outside that day. I called the owner and they said they would open the door but they didn't and I had to call another time so that they would actually give us the door code to get into the building.
The environment around the stay is very dirty, the road is full with dog poops everyday since morning and it smells very bad.
My belonging is missing in the apar**ent when I'm very sure that it was still in the bathroom before we left the room. I'm not sure if the cleaner broke it or something else, but I asked them and they say there's nothing they can do about it. I don't mind if they broke it i just want an explanation about why is it missing and they just ignored me, instead they just say they couldn't find the item.
The cleaner cleans the room everyday, the room is clean and is a nice place to sleep overall.

The receptionists speak Spanish perfectly and are very attentive when it comes to taking a *** to move around the city. Parking is fine, inside the hotel itself. It is discovered but has a fairly affordable price, € 7 / day. The elevator is very old, but really beautiful, something that caught our attention. The rooms are tiny, but for a couple they are pretty good, you can move easily. It has no air conditioning but it comes in very cool through the windows, so much that we had to sleep wrapped up all night. The views from our room were also beautiful, I leave a photo below. To return, no doubt.

|0.84km from city centerI stayed in Vila Nova for three nights in a superior double room 409. The room was very nice and clean, it even had a comfy armchair. There was a small balcony with a table and chairs, the view was not so great but it was nice and sunny to sit and have a cup of tea in the morning. The 24 hour reception staff were always very helpful and the check in went quickly. The hotel is situated very near the metro station, you could see it as you came out of the station , it was also within walking distance of everything else in Lisbon centre if you like walking. Downstairs, well next door, there is a reasonable and friendly café/ restaurant .
