|2.93km from city centerParking is complimentary and on a first come first served basis. The lobby has a simple desk in the centre, with complimentary coffee, water and Pastries nearby. Staff professional and friendly with payment taken on arrival. We stayed in the loft room, which has an upstairs section to fit 3 persons. There are snack and drinks available in room (pay for on checkout) and the bathroom is bright and clean. The beds are comfortable and carpet spot-less. The room overlooks the main street, which on a match day be noisy, but not something that is loudly apparent when the window is closed. A beautiful hotel and very comfortable in a well kept area.

|0.61km from city centerHaving never been to Dublin before, I picked the Gardiner Lodge without much to go on. Happily, I made the right decision. In fact, I feel like I hit the jackpot. I have been here for almost a week and I have had nothing but the most positive experiences. The people at the desk are supremely knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and helpful. The kitchen staff serves up a wonderful breakfast every morning under the natural light in the solarium/dining room. For those mornings when I could not wait until 8am (at which point the Irish breakfasts begin to appear), a continental buffet has been waiting for me at 7am. The rooms must surely have been remodeled recently; mine looks and feels brand new. The Gardiner is perfectly located for my purposes, just above the corner of Gardiner and Talbot. Two wonderful (and very different) pubs--the Celt (with Irish music) and Grainger's (with peace and quiet)--are within a stone's throw on Talbot. There is espresso to be had on the intersection itself. Gardiner Street is busy with traffic, but no street noise ever reached my room (#16); only the sound of the occasional seagull. Dublin north of the river is not as ”well-heeled” as Dublin south of the river, and that's exactly the way I like it. Talbot is a wonderfully unassuming street with a pleasing mix of restaurants, formal and informal. Bottom line: I will come back to the Gardiner Lodge the next time I am here.

|4km from city centerMy experience at Donnybrook Hall was wonderful! My double room was more than adequate with an updated private bathroom. Enough hangers in wardrobe for my 8 night stay. Comfy bed, warm room (with the nice option to crack open a window) for my December stay. TV also included music channels, which was nice, Coffee/tea/biscuit/choc croissant in room daily. The staff was hospitable from checkin to my departure, Encountered a friendly face to ask about needing help every morning and night. Daily housekeeping was reliable and trustworthy. Defiantly a family operation! The neighborhood is great. There is a row of shops that include an upscale market, a bakery/coffee shop, Tesco, a pub with a restaurant and another restaurant. A fast food place serving really good fish and chips is open late along with another fast food place. There is a bus stop near the hotel, city center is about a 20 min ride by bus. I used taxis (easy pickup area in front of hotel) and safely walked into town many times. A taxi to temple bar was about 15-20 euros, a 50 min walk. This is a good option for a nice, quiet stay. A great value for the room and resourcefulness of the staff. Would defiantly recommend and revisit Donnybrook Hall!

|2.46km from city centerThis really is an absolute gem of a hotel. We were given such a warm and friendly welcome. The hotel is spotless and beautifully decorated. Our room was a standard room but the furnishings and complementary goods gave it a luxury feel. The bed was super comfortable with soft linens and huge fluffy pillows. The hotel had thought of everything including umbrellas to borrow for the typical Irish weather. We were able to easily walk into the heart of Temple Bar. The breakfast served was unbelievably delicious and lots of it! All freshly cooked from a vast menu. This is a family run hotel and the personal flare really shows. Can’t wait to return!

|3.84km from city centerGood location outside central Dublin that has car parking (limited). It is on a main road that has frequent bus services to central Dublin, making it easy to access the tourist sites. Then rooms are not serviced daily, but that doesn't bother us. The rooms were a good size and clean, as were the bathrooms. Our telvision didn't work and were upgraded to a suite with no hassles. We accidentally left our iPad mini behind. The staff notified us by email(they tied my mobile but I hadn't given them my new mobile number). They very kindly held the iPad in safe keeping till I organised shipment back home after our holiday. Highly recommended.

|3.28km from city centerThe room is fairly clean. It is a student dormitory in the university, but it is located on the outskirts of Dublin City. The neighborhood is relatively deserted and there are not many surrounding facilities. Travelling is troublesome. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the bus station.

|0.1km from city centerThe hotel is an old-fashioned house renovation, there is no elevator, but it is convenient to go upstairs by yourself. The hospitality at the front desk of the hotel is the most comfortable thing. The room facilities have everything, if compared with other hotels, the price is very good, but the weekend price is still very expensive.

|1.09km from city centerDownstairs is the reason for the bar street, a bit noisy. There is no air conditioning in the apartment, closing the window will reduce the noise, but it will suffocate. The apartment is a bit far from the front desk where the keys are taken, and it is about 15 minutes. The apartment is located in a pedestrian street with a lot of small stone bricks on the road and the suitcase is a little hard to pull. There are many supermarkets and restaurants nearby, so it is very convenient whether you want to cook or go out to eat. The kitchen is fully equipped, there is no rag, so in order to keep the kitchen clean, I have consumed a lot of paper towels.

|1.08km from city centerThe apartment is located right next to the River Liffey and it is convenient to go anywhere. In order to experience local life, we choose to buy and cook. The apartment’s kitchen utensils are full, cooking is convenient, and the supermarkets around the apartment can buy ingredients. Eat very well! Beef and mutton are cheap and fresh, especially milk, cheaper than water, especially good! It is a pity that I forgot to take pictures when I first entered the apartment door. After that, I didn’t take pictures any more. We are four people, two bedrooms, two living room sofa beds, one room and one room is slightly crowded, but it is okay. Very good stay experience. If you are willing to cook for yourself, you can choose an apartment.

|2.64km from city centerEconomic Accomodation advantages. Private parking (extra useful because Dublin is to walk or exploit the road or organized bus network). Bus stops to the center 20 m from Leeson Lodge (bus 145, 11, 46A and 155) Breakfast included (not rich, but it's also okay). Not far away also the possibility of taking the tram. Benefits Small room. The bathroom is very small with shower space and a small washroom (people with strong sizes can find difficulty in using the bathroom both to do the shower and to use the toilet). Small breakfast room with 4 small tables for 2 people at table and a sofa and a chair with a low table in the middle that can be used for breakfast. The breakfast room is open from 08:30, so if there is a need to leave soon you cannot make breakfast, and then if there is a contemporary flow of guests, you can expect the small tables to be released. Interior parking (on the back) safe and closed with gate, but with only 4 car seats whereby or you arrive before other guests or you will have to post the car in the street (there should be the possibility of posting along Dartmouth Rd that ends on Leeson St Upper with a Gothic church in the corner).

|1.18km from city centerLiving on campus is an apartment. excellent service. Even if we arrive at night, there is service as well. However, because it is a student apartment, we must respect the living habits of the students next door. For example, I think that the kitchen next door is allocated to our room, and the kitchen kettle is taken back to the room. As a result, the kitchen was allocated to the entire floor, and the white neighbors said. Ctrip's introduction should also be clearly written, such as a one-bedroom, one-bedroom suite, in fact, the hall is shared. If you don't understand it, it will cause unnecessary trouble. The bathroom is small, the smallest bathroom I have ever seen, just enough for me to stand alone, smaller than the pigeon cage room I used to see in Hong Kong.

|3.02km from city centerWe arrived on time and there were only 3 car parking spaces outside, one of which was taken up by a service vehicle which had been there for five days and management hadn't bothered trying to move it. There are no staff on site and we were promised a code by email to get into the hotel but it never arrived. Eventually we got one by phoning a mobile number. The website told us we could get in to our room at 2pm but the cleaner didn't finish cleaning it until 3.30pm. The room was shabby and dusty and three storeys up with no lift and the beds were uncomfortable. The cost of a twin room with no breakfast was a ridiculously expensive 350 euros. The only facilities downstairs were a fridge and a microwave. At 9.45am, the cleaner rapped our bedroom door and asked us to leave. Check-out time was 10am. The so-called free Wifi didn't work. We met four other couples who were equally disgusted and frustrated. Avoid this hotel which is more like a badly run hostel.

|4.61km from city centerI stayed at Aberdeen Lodge for nine days in June 2022. The B&B is in a historic building in the village of Sandymount, just south of the Dublin city center, in a beautiful quiet neighborhood with tree-lined streets and expansive green space. The owners/proprietors Pat and Ann and their staff provide friendly attentive service and are eager to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The breakfast is delicious and served with warm hospitality. In the nicely landscaped back yard you can play with the friendly resident Yellow Labrador Retrievers Sandy and Robin. The nearest station for the Dart train to Dublin city center is a seven minute walk away. There is also bus service to the city, and Pat or Ann can arrange for taxi pick-up. The nearest restaurant and retail stores are about a 12 - 15 minute walk. This is a historic building, and as such the soundproofing in some rooms is better than others. If this issue is important to you I suggest you book one of the larger rooms. All in all, Aberdeen Lodge is a great place to stay in the Dublin area for an excellent value!

|2.26km from city centerBe prepared location is pretty far from popular locations and requires a lot of walking or the use of taxi/Uber, but doable if you prepare. Rooms are good but could use some paint and they are getting some heavy use. This is a hostile review the FAQ so you can prepare accordingly, thank you for the earplugs night life in Dublin and around the facility can get active at times. No AC but opening windows made the room perfect and we were happy with the temp of the room in the middle of Aug. Front desk staff are excellent, friendly and helpful! Rooms are private with bathroom and door lock very nice!

|3.06km from city centerExcellent hotel, great service and only 5 minutes walk to Landsdowne station that you can reach city centre within 15 minutes. The room is very nice and you can enjoy free coffee and tea, playing board game in the evening. The honourable system for whiskey bar is bdonus and the complimentary breakfast is very delicious. One thing I have to mention is that no air conditioning for the room but it's not bothering me in Dublin's weather.

|0.41km from city centerGood size apartament, fully fitted kitchen, microwave, toaster and kettle. Tea and coffee . Good size TV and WiFi. Spacious bedroom with wardrobe, comfortable bed. Black out blinds . Bathroom had a shower and toiletries were provided. No lift so be prepared to walk up three flights of stairs to get to the top floor apartment. We had no hot water during our stay . The reception said it was because we were on the top floor and that we had to leave the water running ...which we did and still no hot water. I felt bad letting the water run so long as its a waste. If I could guarantee hot water in the shower I would stay here again . A 20 minute walk from the center.

|1.44km from city centerOur stay at Avoca House was just perfect. Jack and his family were extremely welcoming and helpful and a real plasure to talk to. The rooms were quite spacious and spotless and the beds really comfortable. The breakfast is continental, organised in a 'self service' way, which, despite being a bit unusual for a B&B, was very adequate and actually suited us perfectly, as we had a couple of early mornings when we went on trips and we had breakfast very early. The location is in a residential area, about 10 minutes to the centre by bus. I actually preferred it to being in the chaotic centre, and there are a few really good restaurants within 10 minutes walk. Thank you for everything, we can't wait to be back!
